We gathered with our family for Christmas. Instead of going to a Western restaurant and paying extra for a Christmas dinner, we decided to have Chinese food. There were 8 of us sitting around a round table. We tried various dishes and overall, everything was delicious. The appetizers like jellyfish, steamed dumplings, and black pepper beef were all excellent.

It's so hot in Tokyo. Meguro feels especially hot. Coming back from Shibaura, the temperature suddenly rises after passing Meguro Station. Despite the heat, I had lunch with a customer. I wanted to eat cold soba, but there are no good soba restaurants nearby. Oh, there it is. So, I decided to try dining in for the first time. I looked at the lunch menu and quickly decided on something without much hesitation. It sounded delicious from the description! [Special Spicy Cold Noodles with Beef Shank] - 1,290 yen. Why is it called "面" (noodles) instead of "麺" (noodles)... oh well. A large plate of what looked like spicy cold noodles arrived. Huh? It's not as spicy as I thought. Hmm, tasty tasty! Oh... the aftertaste is quite spicy. The refreshing crunchiness of the lettuce, the not too heavy oiliness of the spicy sauce, the perfect level of spiciness, and the chilled noodles. This is delicious. I thought about ordering the fried rice after seeing a certain celebrity eating it across from me, but I ended with the light cold noodles. It was a delicious cold noodles. I will definitely come back! Thank you for the meal.

Located in Shibuya, just a 10-minute walk from Gakushuin University, this restaurant in Himoenya may not have the best access, but it offers an authentic Chinese dining experience without having to go to Chinatown. Every dish we tried was above average in taste, with the standout items being the shark fin and crispy yakisoba noodles! The shark fin had a sweet and savory flavor with a crispy texture that was top-notch. The crispy yakisoba noodles were fried to a perfect crunch, and the sauce wasn't too thick, which was great. The seafood toppings were plentiful, making it a satisfying dish. They also offer lunch sets, and the meat buns that come with the lunch were delicious. While it's not the cheapest option, considering the overall experience, it offers good value for the money. I will definitely be going back!

The restaurant is quite large, especially when you consider the second floor. I ordered tantanmen with gyoza. I always end up adding another dish to my main order, just to try something new and see if I'll come back again. This place seems like somewhere I might visit occasionally.

The nearest station is Gakugeidaigaku, about a 12-minute walk away. The restaurant faces a major road called Meguro Street, and there seems to be parking space for about 2 cars. I have passed by this restaurant before but have never been inside. Here are the dishes I tried: 1) Sweet and Sour Pickled Chinese Cabbage for 650 yen. What amazes me about Chinese cuisine is how they can make simple vegetables taste delicious. However, the pickled cabbage here lacked a bit of sweetness. It could use more syrupy sweetness to enhance the flavor. I hope they don't cut corners on simple dishes. 2) Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork for 2500 yen. The sweet and sour pork here is made by frying multiple chunks of meat, resembling a large meatball. It also includes lotus root, taro, and yam. I was impressed by the variety of roots used, each providing a different texture. The seasoning was good. 3) Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings) for 1100 yen. There are 6 pieces in a serving, and they are quite authentic. They come with black vinegar and shredded ginger. If they had a bit more umami, they might even be better than those in China. The almond jelly served as a dessert had a deep sweetness in the syrup, but the tofu was too light for my taste. It might be better if it had a creamier texture. The atmosphere is nice, and they have a surprisingly good variety of dishes. The food is decent enough that the restaurant probably won't go out of business. They just need to step up their game a bit to make the dishes even better.

Located along Meguro Street, the neon sign of the restaurant "Daikoun Ten Ten" catches the eye with its bright yellow color. With a rating of 3.48, I had high hopes for this Chinese restaurant. The interior had a nice atmosphere, perfect for a business meal. We ordered a variety of dishes, but unfortunately, the flavors were lacking. While the stir-fried dishes were decent, the tantanmen and Sichuan mapo tofu were surprisingly bland, almost tasteless. We had to add our own seasonings like sansho pepper to salvage the meal. It was a first for me to experience such subtle flavors in Chinese cuisine. I briefly wondered if this was the restaurant's unique selling point, but my dining companion, a regular customer, just chuckled. Perhaps a healthy meal option once in a while wouldn't hurt, or maybe not. Anyway, I'll be trying out a different restaurant next time.

If you walk about 10 minutes from Gakugei-daigaku Station East Exit, you will come out to Meguro Street. This is an authentic Chinese restaurant located along Meguro Street. It seems that the chef is Chinese. (Interior) The high ceiling in the restaurant creates a spacious atmosphere. The tables are also large, so you can comfortably bring in a stroller. (Lunch menu) The lunch menu is extensive, with classic items and seasonal limited items like cold noodles, all of which are so appealing that it's hard to choose. (Order) ◻️ Sichuan Mapo Tofu Set Meal ¥1100 (side dishes, rice, soup, pickles, dim sum, dessert) The Mapo Tofu had a punchy flavor with chili oil and spices, which went well with the white rice. ◻️ Sichuan-style Dan Dan Noodles ¥1100 (dim sum, dessert) Easy to eat with a spicy taste. It had a strong sesame flavor and a refreshing aftertaste. The lunch set menu is quite a bargain. It's nice to have dim sum and dessert included at this price!

It's been a while since I visited this Chinese restaurant along Meguro Street for lunch. Last time I came here was in winter, so it's my first time in the summer. The menu seems a bit different. The interior of the restaurant is surprisingly spacious, with seating on the second floor as well. The lunch menu includes Sichuan mapo tofu, fish dishes, shrimp chili, porridge set, and four types of summer limited chilled noodles. For lunch, I chose the crispy fried chicken with black vinegar sauce. The chicken was tender and the black vinegar sauce was plentiful, making it very appetizing. The lunch set also includes two side dishes, soup, pickles, dim sum, rice, and dessert. The rice was served in a generous portion, and the meat bun was deliciously fluffy. The corn soup was a refreshing palate cleanser after the black vinegar sauce. From the chilled noodles, I ordered the special spicy beef tendon cold noodles. It came on a large plate, with crunchy lettuce, cucumber, cilantro, and plenty of vegetables. The noodles were thin and straight, with a smooth texture and a perfect balance of spiciness and refreshing acidity, making it ideal for summer. For dessert, I had tapioca milk with mango pudding, which was generously served. The meal was very satisfying with a variety of dishes and only cost around 1000 yen, which was a pleasant surprise. It was a completely satisfying lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I love xiaolongbao so much! It was so delicious that I managed to finish two servings by myself. At first, I thought it might be too much, but when I started eating, it was not that much and I could easily finish it. The soup was also delicious, and the almond jelly served as a dessert was a nice touch.

Gomoku Chahan: 1,980 yen Fried rice with anko sauce on top. Contains shrimp, squid, scallops, bell peppers, edamame, dried shiitake mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and paprika. The fried rice was delicious, but the price was a bit high, so it may not offer the best value for money.

[Items I want to repeat] - Pan-fried dumplings: Juicy meat filling that overflows, I want to eat them again. - Dim sum in general: Xiao long bao was delicious, so I wonder if all dim sum are tasty. - Glass of wine: A refreshing taste that goes well with Chinese food, generously poured. [Items I don't want to repeat] - Shrimp chili: Neither the taste nor the portion size was satisfying. - Shrimp lettuce fried rice: I expected it to be more delicious for the price. - Assorted appetizers: Delicious like the scallion chicken, but the price seems too high for the portion size. [Other] Although I had mixed feelings of satisfaction and dissatisfaction this time, the fish dishes looked delicious, so I want to try them next time.

The volume is really good. I think the cost performance is also good. The seasoning is light and personally I found it lacking in flavor. The staff were not very friendly. The restaurant looks impressive. The dumplings were big and delicious. I tried the Beijing Duck Fried Rice, but the way the carrots were cut was a bit sloppy. I won't be going back.

We met three people while waiting for a car inspection. I had the spicy and elegant fried rice for 1650 yen, which I had tried before and found it to be spicy but refined. I also had the soupless tantanmen for 980 yen, which was spicy but had a pleasant numbing sensation, and the warm noodles were delicious.

After a funeral, eight of us had lunch together. The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was amazing, with the addition of mushrooms and lotus roots making it even better. The Ma La spicy sesame noodles were delicious, just like last time. The crab fried rice was packed with crab and very tasty. The spicy fried rice was also delicious with its spiciness. The portions are quite large, so sharing is a good idea. Overall, it's a high-end Chinese restaurant with expensive individual dishes.

Today, I went for a walk along Meguro Street and it's getting cold, so I decided to warm up with some spicy food. I had lunch at a Chinese restaurant known for its delicious dan dan noodles. I was surprised to see that they offer four different types of dan dan noodles - black sesame, spicy, white sesame, and soupless. Since it was my first time, I ordered the black sesame dan dan noodles (1100 yen) listed at the top. The noodles arrived quickly, with a bright red soup topped with black sesame, minced meat, and greens. When I took the first bite, I was surprised. It was sour! First, you taste the vinegar, followed by the spiciness of the chili oil. The sesame and Sichuan pepper flavors were quite subtle. It's like a mix between hot and sour soup and dan dan noodles. A unique flavor indeed. However, as I continued eating without being stuck on the taste of traditional dan dan noodles, I found it quite delicious. It was initially surprising, but I think I might get addicted to this soup. This restaurant serves Hong Kong-style Cantonese cuisine. They don't cater to Japanese tastes but offer authentic Sichuan cuisine interpreted by a professional chef. The yakisoba and other dishes looked tempting as well, but I think I'll challenge myself to try all the dan dan noodles here. Another enjoyable aspect added to my walk.

Blog "Tokyu Line, Food Tour" https://asante.blog/ ---- I visited here for lunch on a weekend, during a break in the rainy season. It is a luxurious Chinese restaurant located along Meguro Street. Upon entering the restaurant, I was seated by the window. Looking at the menu, the prices for dinner are quite high. Fried rice starts at 1500 yen, etc. However, there are also some casual menu items for lunch, and this time, I ordered: - Dan Dan Cold Noodles 980 yen - Spicy Chicken and Cartilage Dumplings Pan-Fried Dumplings 680 yen. Excluding tax. After a short wait, the Dan Dan Cold Noodles arrived. It was a visually appealing cold noodle dish with red soup, chili oil, black sesame seeds, cucumber, etc. When I slurped the soup, the taste was quite delicious. It wasn't very spicy, but rather the sesame flavor was appetizing, and the soup was very moreish. The noodles were smooth and chewy, which paired well with the soup. This was a truly delicious Dan Dan Cold Noodles. The dumplings that came out a little later looked like boiled dumplings at first glance. Mustard and Doubanjiang were also provided, but I made a sauce with soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar to taste while enjoying them. The chicken meat filling was light, but the texture of the cartilage was very good, making these dumplings special. This cartilage is really good. I thoroughly enjoyed both the Dan Dan Cold Noodles and the dumplings. I would like to visit this place again. Thank you for the meal.

Visited around 12:30☺︎ The nearest station is Gakugeidaigaku Station, about a 10-minute walk from the station. The restaurant is located along Meguro Street, with a Chinese atmosphere. At first glance, you may not understand why it's called "Daikou Untentenshurou." Inside the restaurant, there are several elderly couples, so the age range is on the higher side. However, young people are also welcome to enter. Once seated, they immediately serve you tea, and it's all-you-can-drink★彡. They bring a new pot of tea as soon as it runs out, which was quite impressive (//∇//). The lunch menu is extensive, but you can also order a la carte items! There are so many options that we had a hard time deciding. Today, we visited with two people, so we decided to share. ❤︎ Seafood Ankake Fried Yakisoba 《1,210 yen (tax included)》 ❤︎ Porridge Set (with side dishes, meat bun, and dessert) The porridge set we ordered was the second option, Chicken and Yam Porridge. 《1,100 yen (tax included)》 After waiting for about 5 minutes, the dishes arrived. They were very generous in portion size!! The main dishes, fried yakisoba and porridge, were in BIG sizes♡ The meat bun in the set was relatively small, which was reassuring. The side dishes and soup were not that much, but the main dishes were substantial! Additionally, we received two almond jellies. In terms of the main dishes, the portion was large enough for a family of four to share, making it cost-effective at around 1,000 yen per person. The taste was delicious \( ˆoˆ )/♡. The meat bun we shared was slightly sweet and not overly juicy, serving its role as a side dish. The seafood ankake fried yakisoba initially seemed firm because of the sauce, but it quickly loosened up, making it easy to share. It was packed with plenty of seafood, with shrimp and scallops being plump and sizable, providing a satisfying volume. Other ingredients like wood ear mushrooms and broccoli were also included, making it rich in ingredients. The porridge had a gentle taste but a perfect depth of flavor, allowing you to enjoy the umami fully. The chicken and yam added a nice touch, making it easy to eat without feeling unsatisfied. There were also black vinegar and sauce available, enhancing the taste. Despite thinking that the portion was too much and I couldn't finish it, I managed to eat more than expected! I left some behind, but I was very satisfied with the delicious meal♡♡. The almond jelly had a hint of sweetness but was generally refreshing, making it easy to eat smoothly. The portion was just right (^_^)♡. The attitude of the staff was also good, and I definitely want to go back again~!

Once again, the satisfaction level was off the charts. I can't help but wonder why this place isn't more popular. Perhaps it's the price... The menu included dishes such as chive steamed buns, garlic and Sichuan pepper stir-fried shrimp, crab and winter melon soup, Cantonese-style soy sauce fish, beef with sweet bean sauce stir-fry, crepe crab fried rice, lychee sherbet, almond tofu, and a selection of Pu'er, oolong, and jasmine tea. All of this came to a total of 18,000 yen.

Category: [Tokyo] Chinese/Taiwanese Today, I was traveling around various places in Tokyo for work, and when I stopped by Meguro Post Office during lunchtime, I found myself near Daikoun Ten Ten Shu Rou restaurant. It had a luxurious atmosphere, where wealthy families and elegant elderly ladies were dining. It seemed like a place frequented by landowners with money. I tried the seasonal fish special soy sauce stew for 1320 yen. It had been a while since I had a meat bun that lacked warmth. The stew's seasoning was a bit lacking in punch and seemed a bit blurry, leaving a slight fishy taste. As someone who has been taken to authentic local Chinese restaurants by knowledgeable individuals recently, I felt a bit unsatisfied. It made me realize that Chinese cuisine is constantly evolving.

While getting a car inspection, two of us decided to have lunch at this restaurant. The restaurant was a high-end Chinese cuisine place with a black color scheme. The Mara Tan Tan Men was spicy but had a rich flavor and was delicious. The Hiyashi Tan Tan Men was cold and not as spicy as the Mara, but still had a great taste. Both Tan Tan Men dishes were around 1000 yen, which was reasonable. It wasn't too hot, so we decided to walk to Matterhorn in Gakugeidaigaku, but it was actually quite hot. However, it was good exercise.
