Located on the first floor of Mark City in Shibuya, Fuyuna Miya is a traditional Kyoto confectionery shop. After much deliberation, I chose the matcha warabi mochi that day! The matcha dango and matcha no tsuyu looked delicious too, making it difficult to decide on a souvenir. However, many items are best consumed on the same day or the next day, so I couldn't buy too many things. I chilled the matcha warabi mochi in the refrigerator and enjoyed it. The warabi mochi had a strong matcha flavor and melted in my mouth. It was incredibly delicious. Thank you for the meal! ^_^

I happened to see a feature on Tokyu Food Show on TV, so I decided to visit on the weekend. The shops that were featured on TV were selling out quickly and had long lines, showing the power of television. I waited in line for about 10 minutes to purchase the matcha dango and warabi mochi I had my eye on. The matcha dango was chewy and delicious. The warabi mochi was soft and went well with tea. Thank you for the delicious treats!

This is a Japanese sweets shop located on the 1st floor of Shibuya Tokyu Food Show. I was drawn to the realistic samples displayed at the storefront, and decided to get the "Chano Tsuyu Horori" for 349 yen. I chilled it well in the refrigerator before trying it. It consists of matcha-flavored agar jelly topped with red bean paste. I started with the matcha agar jelly - it had a delicate texture that easily crumbled, while the strong bitterness of matcha spread smoothly. The red bean paste was sticky with just the right amount of sweetness. When combined with the matcha agar jelly, it created a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. Overall, it's a perfect summer treat.

At the food show in Shibuya Mark City, I happened to visit a traditional Japanese sweets shop that I had seen on TV before. I bought two items: "mitarashi anko no ko" for 352 yen (excluding tax) and "horori" for 324 yen. The "mitarashi anko no ko" should not be refrigerated as the dumplings become hard, while the "horori" is best enjoyed chilled in the fridge. The "horori" turned out to be a delicate and subtly sweet dessert, similar to water yokan. Both items had just the right amount of sweetness, making them a refreshing treat. This was my first time experiencing such light and elegant Japanese sweets. It reminded me of a previous experience at an old-fashioned Japanese confectionery in Ueno, where the sweetness was overwhelmingly rich. I couldn't help but imagine the regulars at that shop finding these treats almost tasteless in comparison. It's worth noting that when I visited on a weekday afternoon around 2 PM, there were only a few "anko no ko" left.

On my way back, I bought some rice dumplings at "Fujinami Shibuya Tokyu Food Show Store". My eldest daughter suddenly said she wanted to eat mitarashi, so I bought "ankanonko" for her as a snack before her cram school. My second daughter likes kinako flavor, so I bought kinako flavor, and I got matcha flavor for myself. I was told that if I bought a set of three with a clear case, it would be expensive, so I bought them without a case for home use. I brought the rice dumplings back at room temperature so they wouldn't get hard. The expiration date was the same day. The ankanonko was individually packed in cases, so it's good as a souvenir. The matcha flavor was sweet but had a strong matcha flavor with plenty of chewy rice dumplings. I didn't count, but there were about 10 pieces. The matcha aroma was nice, and the sweet bean paste was delicious. We dipped the rice dumplings generously in the paste, and there was some left at the bottom, so we enjoyed it with a spoon. My children said the mitarashi and kinako they ate were also very delicious. The warabi mochi looked so delicious too. Thank you for the meal. #ShibuyaGourmet #ShibuyaSweets #ShibuyaJapaneseSweets #Fujinami #FujinamiShibuya #ShibuyaMarkCity #ShibuyaTokyuFoodShow #TokyuFoodShow #JapaneseSweets #Ankanonko #KyotoDango #Mitarashi #Kinako #Matcha

A famous Kyoto-style dumpling shop has entered the food show in Shibuya. I tried their two-color warabi mochi. It had a refreshing and light taste. The texture was not too sticky, and it cleanly peeled off from my teeth. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

It was a gift. Since the expiration date was short, I chilled it well before eating. The matcha agar was jelly-like, not too sweet, and the red bean paste had a gentle sweetness of fine-grained wasanbon sugar. I mixed the red bean paste with a spoon and enjoyed it. The exquisite taste of matcha and red bean paste. It was delicious.

I purchased the Chano Tsuyuhorori as a souvenir that I had seen on TV before and was curious about. I chilled it well in the refrigerator and enjoyed it the next day. The smooth and melty matcha paired perfectly with the mildly sweet red bean paste, making it very delicious. Thank you for the meal.

At the Shibuya Food Show, there is always a long line at this shop, and the "Matcha Mochi Horori" and bracken rice cakes seem to be popular. I decided to try the "Matcha Mochi Horori" for the first time. When I got home and tried it, the matcha part was surprisingly not too sweet, very refreshing. So when eaten with the red bean paste on top, it was just right. And true to its name, it had a unique new texture that melts and disappears in your mouth, which was quite delicious. The red bean paste on top was also tasty. This could be a great souvenir for matcha lovers. Next time, I would like to try the bracken rice cakes or dango.

The dessert with plenty of soybean flour, compared with brown sugar and matcha, has a high level of completion as a sweet treat. Personally, I like the brown sugar and soybean flour warabi mochi the best. The texture and flavor are truly top-notch, and it seems like it would be well received as a souvenir. I would like to go buy it again!

You can taste and compare four different flavors of warabi mochi: black bean kinako, white kinako, matcha, and brown sugar. I chilled them in the refrigerator for an hour before eating. They have a soft, melt-in-your-mouth texture. They are a bit larger in size, but easy to eat due to their smoothness, with a refined sweetness. Delicious! The quality and quantity at this price are too good to be true! Both the kinako and matcha were delicious, but I personally prefer the brown sugar. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

On Sunday, I wanted to bring a souvenir, so I bought a set of 4 items for 2000 yen. They looked delicious and seemed like a good choice for a gift. However, the portion size was quite large, so there was a possibility that some might be left over. The texture was chewy and enjoyable. Overall, all the flavors were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I love buying these dumplings and bracken rice cakes at the Kyoto Kiyomizu store, but I also appreciate visiting the Yomoyamo Shibuya branch. I recommend the bracken rice cakes. The grass dumplings are also good. This time, I purchased the Horori, which I had always been curious about but had put lower on my priority list due to being in a hurry. When you put it in your mouth, it melts instantly, a new sensation of matcha agar. As stated on the official website, it really does melt right away. It goes very well with red bean paste and is a dessert I want to have handy in the warm seasons. I added it to my shopping list for when I go to Shibuya. I hope they open a store in Ginza as well, I wish for them to become even more popular. I wonder if Mitsukoshi could carry them...

Located in Shibuya Tokyu Food Show, this shop's main store is on Sannenzaka in Kyoto, with branches in Kyoto, Kiyomizu, Kyoto Isetan, and a factory direct sales store. This shop seems to be the only branch outside of Kyoto. The shop is famous for its Kyoto-style dango. The shop has a rating of 3.48 for the Kiyomizu branch and 3.50 for the Kyoto Isetan branch on Tabelog (as of March 2022). At Tokyu Food Show, they only sell products, no eating in. They do not sell Kyoto dango at this location. They sell items like warabi mochi. I purchased the popular item "Cha no Tsuyu Horori" this time. "Cha no Tsuyu Horori" costs 350 yen. It is made with agar and has a soft texture with a good match of matcha flavor and sweet red bean paste. The matcha is not sweet at all and is enjoyed with the sweet red bean paste. The aroma of matcha is delicious. Traditional Japanese sweets like this have fewer calories compared to Western sweets, so it's easy to indulge in them.

On Valentine's Day, I, a middle-aged man, bravely bought some dango in Shibuya. It was a very embarrassing situation, but I confidently made my purchase. I only bought one box, but the matcha flavor infused into the dough left a great impression on me. The fact that the expiration date was the same day actually showed a considerate business attitude. Traditional Japanese sweets may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I hope to see more products like this dango in the future. Highly recommended!

When I went to Shibuya, I bought sweets at Mark City, almost as a habit. I had planned to go around noon and invited my former colleagues to have lunch together, but I heard that there is a ban on eating out. It's understandable given the recent increase in the number of infections. It wouldn't be appropriate to meet after a long time and just eat silently. However, it seems that the president can eat out as much as he wants. There are always double standards in the world. I recently read a manga that explained the meaning of "giri" (obligation). The first meaning is the correct course of action. In the manga, "giri" is written as "beautifully for oneself," meaning living in a way that one is not ashamed of. I want to live sincerely, even if it means losing out. Back to the shopping at Mark City. I love red bean paste, so I bought a clear box of red bean paste and white dumplings at Fujinami here. They also sell dumplings. I tried the matcha flavor, which was pretty ordinary. But the chewy white dumplings and the soothing red bean paste were comforting. They also had matcha warabi mochi (jelly?) with a deep green color on display, which looked beautiful. Looking back, it seems like I've been on a sugar binge for a week.

★I arrived around 3:30 pm on a weekday★There were two groups ahead of me waiting★I tried the "horori" and it was delicious★The matcha jelly had a subtle sweetness with a slightly bitter taste, which paired perfectly with the sweet red bean★Overall, the flavors were elegant★The service was average★The shop was bright and clean★I think the "horori" is probably allergen-free, and other products have allergens listed on the tags, so it's safe for people with allergies★I will definitely come back to try other items if I'm in the area again, so I rate it 3 out of 5 stars★★★

This is a new shop that opened at the renovated and expanded Tokyu Food Show in Shibuya in July. They are a Kyoto-based dumpling shop that operates four stores in Kyoto, including their main store at Kiyomizu Sannenzaka. This is their first store in the Kanto region. I was surprised to see that the dumplings on skewers that they used to sell at events were not available at this new location. Instead, they were selling a new product called "Ankanoko," which consists of dumplings and sweet bean paste in a transparent container. I bought one each of the "mitarashi" and "matcha an" flavors, but I was disappointed with the taste. The dumplings were quite different from the ones I had bought at events. The texture of the dumpling dough was soft with no crispy exterior, unlike the flavorful grilled dumplings I had tried before. Perhaps they were trying to cater to the trendy atmosphere of Shibuya, but I believe they should stick to selling the same quality of dumplings as they do in Kyoto.

The other day, I saw Mr. Tanabe on TV introducing a traditional Japanese sweets shop that he recommended. I thought I had to go all the way to Kyoto to try it, so I had given up hope. But guess what! It's actually in Shibuya! I'm so happy! It's only 350 yen and it's so delicious, with a soft texture that feels amazing. Perfect as a souvenir (^-^)!
