Shiki Hot Pot Hua Jiao Ting Hiroo Main Store is located on the 2nd floor of Rokkotan near Hiroo Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo. I visited the Hiroo Main Store for dinner on August 24, 2023 (Thursday). It is a famous hot pot restaurant that has been operating in Hiroo for 30 years. Despite the hot weather, the inside of the restaurant was comfortably cool with effective air conditioning. I sanitized my hands with alcohol at the entrance before entering. The restaurant has both table seating and private rooms. The customers were a diverse mix of people of all ages and genders. Western music was playing inside the restaurant. When I entered, I was led to a private room. The staff at the restaurant were friendly and provided excellent service. I toasted with a High Viet Hua Chiao Show Ching 5-year soda mix. It had a rich and deep flavor that was refreshing. I had the "Slippery Hot Pot Course." The appetizer of jellyfish cold dish was served with vinegar soy sauce. The jellyfish was thick and had a crunchy texture, making it refreshing and perfect for a hot summer day. The deep-fried angel prawns with Longjing tea had a crispy and fragrant texture, with a sweet taste in the prawns and a slight bitterness from the Longjing tea. The domestic pork tenderloin in black vinegar sauce was thick and had a rich and sweet flavor with a refreshing acidity. The sweet and sour sauce of the pork was chewy, and the tenderloin was incredibly tender with plenty of umami and flavor. The special Shiki Hot Pot soup had two types: Sichuan-style soup with a base of local chicken and spiced with raw red chili bean paste, and Beijing-style soup made with whole chicken broth, dried shrimp, and dried scallops. The dipping sauces were a refreshing homemade satay sauce and a mild XO sauce sesame sauce. Both dipping sauces had a delicious flavor that could become addictive. The Wagyu sirloin melted in the mouth, while the Kagoshima black pork loin had a sweetness in the fat and a rich umami flavor. The lamb loin was moist and tender with a good flavor. The hot pot meatballs were made of chicken and seafood. The seafood was bouncy, and the chicken was moist with a good flavor. The dim sum included steamed shrimp dumplings and fish maw dumplings. The steamed shrimp dumplings had bouncy shrimp and a smooth skin. The fish maw dumplings had a smooth texture with a good umami flavor, and the skin was chewy. The seasonal vegetable assortment of Chinese cabbage was crunchy and paired well with the spicy soup, while the mushrooms were thick and satisfying to eat. The Sichuan-style soup was spicy and had a rich and addictive flavor, while the Beijing-style soup was light but had a deep flavor. The delicious noodles at the end were homemade flat noodles. They were chewy with a good texture, and they paired well with the flavorful soup. The dessert of seasonal fruits and two homemade sweets included peach jelly and cheesecake, as well as dragon fruit and mango. The peach jelly had a lovely fragrance and a sweet taste, while the cheesecake was rich and creamy. The dragon fruit was juicy, and the mango was ripe and sweet. The Slippery Hot Pot Course cost 8,900 yen including tax, the High Viet Hua Chiao Show Ching 5-year was 1,000 yen including tax, and there was a 10% service charge. It was incredibly delicious.

After watching Disney animation in Roppongi, my family and I went to eat hot pot in Hiroo. There were private tatami rooms, so it was reassuring with my son. We made a reservation for the slippery hot pot course and visited the restaurant. We toasted with beer and jasmine tea. For the appetizer, we had jellyfish cold dish, which was crunchy jellyfish with black vinegar. The presentation of the first dish was beautiful, and the food exceeded our expectations. We encountered authentic Chinese cuisine that was very polite and seemed to have a dialogue with the ingredients. The deep-fried angel prawns with Longjing tea, the black vinegar sweet and sour pork with domestic pork fillet, and the Szechuan-style hot pot with two types of soup were all delicious. The hot pot was accompanied by two dipping sauces, and we enjoyed a variety of vegetables, meats, meatballs, and dumplings. We added shime vegetables and yuba midway through the meal. The homemade noodles at the end were unique and perfect for the hot pot. We ended the meal with desserts such as dragon fruit, mango, a bite-sized tiramisu, and a milk pudding-like dessert. The presentation and attention to detail were excellent throughout the meal. The staff explained everything carefully, making it enjoyable even for those new to hot pot. I have never had such delicious hot pot before. Whenever I crave hot pot, I will definitely come back to this restaurant.

The weather is starting to cool down in the evening, but there are still hot days lingering. On such hot days, I crave refreshing dishes, but for some reason, I also want something spicy and stimulating. Even though I'm not a big fan of spicy food, when a friend recommended a good restaurant in Hiroo that specializes in spicy dishes, I decided to give it a try. The place is called "Shiki Hot Pot Huajiao Ting." Located just a short walk from Hiroo Station, on the second floor of a building with Italian restaurants on the first floor, the restaurant had a cozy private room reserved for us. I had pre-ordered the "Slippery Hot Pot Course" for 8,900 yen. To start, I ordered a Qingdao beer, which was described as "raw." Here are some of the main dishes and my thoughts: - Appetizer: Chilled jellyfish in sesame oil - a classic Chinese appetizer with a cool and refreshing appearance, perfect for a hot day. - Dish: Deep-fried angel prawns with Longjing tea - a perfect match of flavorful tea leaves and succulent prawns. - Dish: Pork fillet in black vinegar sauce - a crispy texture with a hint of sourness from the black vinegar. - Hot Pot: Beijing-style soup and Sichuan-style soup - both based on chicken, with various spices and ingredients that made the soup flavorful and slightly spicy. - Dessert: Dragon fruit, mango, peach jelly, cheesecake, banana red bean spring roll - a luxurious dessert selection to end the meal on a high note. Overall, the meal was satisfying and the staff even mentioned that they intentionally serve large portions to ensure guests leave full and happy. It was a delightful dining experience.

I got off the train at Hiroo station to prepare for the summer heat and sweat, and stopped by Hua Jiao Ting, a famous authentic hot pot restaurant. I ordered the chef's recommended dishes along with the special hot pot. We started with a toast with beer. The dishes included spicy stir-fried eel and bitter melon, shrimp and fig, spicy salted bitter melon, deep-fried angel shrimp with white eggplant, Kaga thick cucumber, and chili, as well as the special hot pot with Sichuan soup and Beijing soup. The hot pot came with two dipping sauces: spicy satay sauce and mild sesame sauce. Just looking at the hot pot made me sweat, but the food was delicious and I couldn't stop eating. The manager kindly adjusted the air conditioning and brought me water, but my sweating didn't stop. After finishing the meal and dessert, my sweating finally stopped and the warm tea felt soothing. I received plenty of water and towels. Thanks to them, I feel like I can survive this summer. Thank you for the feast. I will definitely visit again!

I suddenly felt hot and wanted to eat delicious hot pot, so I had the special course at Shiki Hot Pot Hua Jiao Ting Hiroo store. All the dishes were beautiful... My excitement went up from the first dish. The cold dish with thick jellyfish was amazing! (It seems to be the head part of the jellyfish) The hot pot without any artificial seasoning... I don't think I can eat hot pot anywhere else now... It was incredibly delicious! The head chef himself explained the dishes, and the staff's hospitality was greatly appreciated. It's a restaurant that I want to recommend!

The hot pot is basic, but the side dishes are highly recommended. They are all delicious and exceed expectations. Even if you don't like spicy food, you can still enjoy it. Both the meat and vegetables are tasty, and the sauces are amazing. The spicy sauce and sesame sauce both go perfectly with everything.

Do you remember if someone remembers? This restaurant was featured on the show "Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende" with Downtown. It all started when Matsumoto Hitoshi commented, "The number of 'thank yous' from this restaurant is insane," and they decided to verify it. If it was over 30 times, Hamada would pay, and if it was under 30 times, Matsumoto would pay. The staff, who were Chinese women, kept saying, "Thank you very much" and "Thank you very much" repeatedly, about 44 times, and Hamada ended up paying. Even now, this restaurant is sometimes used on "Sukkiri" at the end of "Gaki no Tsukai." It's been almost 15 years since then, and I finally visited this restaurant I've always wanted to go to. (I love Downtown.) Perhaps due to the current situation, there was only one group of customers. We were led to a private room, but I would have preferred the long table where the Gaki no Tsukai staff sat. We chose the recommended Hua Jiao Ting Special Hot Pot Course (\7,500) and enjoyed it with beer. The appetizers and the authentic medicinal hot pot were delicious. Lately, I have a bad habit of eating more even when I'm already 80% full, and I regret it later. This time, I couldn't resist adding more meat and vegetables... I will try to avoid this foolish behavior in the future. My stomach and heart were satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

The staff were very attentive. The portion sizes were a bit small, but it was just right for a first stop. I wanted something spicy, but it might not be spicy enough for those who really like spicy food. The rooms are private, but the ceiling is connected, so you can hear everything from the neighboring tables if they are loud.

I ordered the Four Seasons Hot Pot Course. I chose all 4 types of meat: beef, pork, lamb, and beef tongue. The soup and sauce were different from what I had before. What impressed me the most was the Tsukedare, where sesame paste and raw egg were mixed with condiments. It was amazing. The red sauce with coriander was also delicious and addictive. I would love to visit this restaurant again when I'm on a business trip to Tokyo.

Tokyo Restaurant Factory Group, which operates over 50 domestic and international restaurants including Toriyoshi yakitori and wine, has recently expanded its Hua Jiao Ting hot pot restaurant to two more locations in Tokyo. The Hiroo branch, in particular, seems to have a lot of media exposure, and its convenient location directly above the station and private rooms are likely selling points. The basic Four Seasons Hot Pot Course for 5,500 yen includes signature dishes like Longjing Head Prawns for 1,800 yen, as well as xiaolongbao and char siu fried rice for sharing. The hot pot flavors are quite good, with a clear soup and sesame paste sauce, as well as a spicy soup with a combination of Sichuan pepper and coriander that complement each other well. The default course may end quickly, so additional items like black pork loin are recommended. The Master's Dream pitcher is quite elegant. As it is a hot pot, refills come one after another. The recommended Angel Shrimp, with the bitterness of fried Longjing tea balancing the sweetness of the prawns, is interesting but at 600 yen per shrimp, it can be a bit pricey. The service may vary depending on the staff, but the female Chinese staff members are polite and kind. The spacious private room we had this time allowed us to enjoy our meal without worrying about our surroundings. There were also families with children in other private rooms. Despite the somewhat high prices, the value of being in an undisturbed space is invaluable.

I visited a hot pot restaurant introduced on the TV show "Hitori Shizuka" produced by the producer Masasagi, and I ordered the simple seasonal hot pot course along with saliva chicken and century egg tofu as side dishes. The saliva chicken had a nice kick of Sichuan pepper added to the usual spicy flavor, and it was delicious. The sauce was a bit sweet, so it tasted even better with black vinegar added. The century egg tofu was decent, although the tofu itself was not the best quality. The seasonal hot pot course came with three appetizers, which were okay. I accidentally ordered an extra dish that wasn't really necessary. The hot pot had two types of soup - a mild white soup and a spicy red soup with raw chili peppers and doubanjiang for a Sichuan-style flavor. Each soup had its own dipping sauce. Personally, I preferred the red soup with the kick of Sichuan pepper. For the final noodles, surprisingly, the dipping sauce for the white soup matched better. They also have private rooms, so it's a good place to enjoy a leisurely meal with close friends.

Tonight, I went to Sana at Sansho-tei to eat Chinese food (*゜▽゜*) It's a restaurant located just a 1-minute walk from Hiroo Station Exit 1!! It had many unique menu items. I tried the eel spring rolls - it was my first time trying them and they were marinated in a delicious sauce with a hint of Sansho pepper! Next, I had the black-bone chicken with century egg and tofu, which was also quite unique and delicious. The tofu had yam on top. For the main dish, I had mapo tofu which had a great flavor of chili peppers and Sansho pepper. To finish, I had Sansho pepper fried rice with tiny dried fish mixed in. For dessert, I had sesame dumplings and almond tofu - the sesame paste was really good and the almond tofu was simple but the best! I had a great time with Hiroo gourmet (*'ω'*) Let's do our best tomorrow!

I went to a hot pot restaurant in Hiroo on a day when the temperature was over 35°C, so we decided to order a la carte instead. Every dish we tried was delicious, and it turns out it's a recommended restaurant by the producer of "Suberanai Hanashi". They even hold their wrap-up parties here, and there was a mention of the restaurant in the book. The manager's hospitality was wonderful, and I realized that this is the kind of restaurant that is loved by everyone as I headed home.

The white broth simmered chicken soba is a personal favorite. The creamy and thick soup is irresistible. The portion is quite generous, perfect for sharing between two people. The mapo tofu with Sichuan pepper has a refreshing aroma. It's perfect for summer, with a balance of spiciness and sweetness that even gourmet friends will love. I finally got to visit the Sichuan pepper garden that I've been curious about! I ordered the "Unslippery Course" which included crunchy jellyfish, Angel Prawn with black vinegar sauce, Yuzu pork in medicinal herbs, hot pot noodles, and almond tofu appetizer. The crunchy jellyfish was a surprising start! The texture was completely different from any jellyfish I've had before, with a satisfying crunch. It was so delicious with the sesame oil flavor. The Angel Prawn was served whole, with crispy tea leaves sprinkled on top, adding a delightful taste. The long-awaited hot pot and medicinal herb pot were served with two special sauces, both of which were delicious and addictive. The hot pot had a good level of spiciness, perfect for those who love spicy food. I will definitely come back here again!

I was really curious and really wanted to visit a restaurant that was featured as the first in the list of non-slippery restaurants. I enjoyed the exquisite hot pot at Hanasho Tei in Hiroo. The soup is based on chicken soup, with a Sichuan-style soup flavored with raw red peppers and doubanjiang, and a clear soup flavored with dried shrimp and dried scallops. The luxurious broth made only from the meat of local chickens is of supreme deliciousness! It has a rich flavor without any impurities, and the soup is clear and beautiful. And because they don't use pork or beef, the soup is super flavorful but light in the aftertaste. I chose black pork loin and beef tongue slices for the meat selection! Shabu-shabu your favorite meat in two types of soup, Sichuan-style and Beijing-style... it's an irresistible deliciousness. The moderate sweetness of the black pork fat and the rich flavor of the beef tongue were a moment of bliss. I wanted to read a book about restaurants where you won't be embarrassed during a meal with friends, so I researched on Tabelog beforehand. I was a bit worried because there was a recent rating of 1.5 stars, but the food was surprisingly delicious. Compared to another hot pot restaurant that felt a bit sloppy, this one gave a refined impression. Those who appreciate the authentic taste of hot pot might not like it, but I felt the creativity in adapting the authentic taste to suit Japanese preferences. In addition to hot pot, I tried some side dishes and they were all of high quality. The detailed explanations of the dishes showed the staff's rich knowledge. The service was also of high quality with just the right amount of distance. The almond jelly dessert at the end was refreshing and not too sweet, showing a thoughtful balance in the overall dining experience. I don't often go to Hiroo, but I would like to visit this restaurant again.

A hot pot restaurant located near Hiroo Station. It has been in business for about 20 years. The interior is clean and has a calm atmosphere, which I really like. I had the hot pot set, spring rolls, and mapo tofu. The hot pot is more like shabu-shabu. Once the meat is cooked, you dip it in the sauce. There are spicy and tantan-men style sauces. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but this sauce is delicious. I want to eat it even if it means enduring the spiciness. However, it's a bit tough that I can't drink the hot pot soup...but it's delicious. I ordered pork and lamb meat, and the lamb meat is not smelly. The mapo tofu is also quite spicy but tasty with a strong flavor of sansho pepper. It's a mature hot pot restaurant in terms of ambiance and price range! It's not crowded, so you can enjoy a relaxing meal. Highly recommended!

Today, I went to a famous hot pot restaurant in Hiroo. I had previously been to the sister restaurant in Otemachi, called Hua Jiao Ting Bar, and I became hooked on hot pot there! I had always wanted to visit the main store, and finally I had the chance! There are rumors that this place is popular among celebrities as well... I immediately placed my order. First, we toasted with beer, and the beer was Masters Dream, which I quite like. We started with the cold dish of jellyfish. It was my first time trying such large and firm jellyfish, and the crunchy texture was amazing! The sesame oil flavor was also very nice. When we drizzled black vinegar on it, it tasted even better. It felt elegant right away. Next, we had a trio of appetizers, all delicious and elegant. Especially the cold dish of scallops was incredibly tasty. The Angel Shrimp with Longjing Tea Leaves was crispy and fried with a natural salt flavor. This dish featured Longjing tea leaves, which I hadn't really tried before, and the flavor was excellent! The Angel Shrimp had a strong taste as well!! The pork in black vinegar sauce was incredibly tender and delicious. I don't usually eat sweet and sour pork, but this dish completely changed my perception of it. Black vinegar is delicious! I might get addicted to it! Finally, the moment I had been waiting for - the hot pot!! The sauce included a sesame-flavored tantan-like sauce and a spicy red sauce. Both were delicious, but being a fan of spicy food, I found myself using up the red sauce quickly. We could choose from pork, beef, or lamb for the meat. I was thinking of accommodating everyone's preferences, but then I found out that each person could choose one type of meat - so, of course, I chose my favorite, lamb. The combination of hot pot and lamb is amazing!! And when I added cilantro to it, it was just perfect~ The hot pot needs no explanation of its deliciousness! Of course, we also enjoyed the noodles as the finishing touch. Eating delicious hot pot and elegant dishes in a private room made me feel like a celebrity. It was a truly satisfying experience. As you can see in the photos, this Chinese restaurant is quite elegant, and the taste is above average. Especially the jellyfish has a unique texture that I have never experienced before, highly recommended. The tofu pudding also has a special quality that you might not find easily in Tokyo. The century egg has a refreshing taste, even people who are not fond of it might enjoy it. To finish, I had the chicken broth noodles, which were seasoned very well, similar to the dishes at a high-class restaurant in Roppongi. I enjoyed the a la carte dishes so much that I didn't get to try the hot pot mentioned in the restaurant's name, so I plan to try it next time.
