After visiting Canon Gallery Ginza located behind Matsuya Ginza, I went to this nearby izakaya for lunch. Run by an elderly couple, this underground restaurant has a typical izakaya atmosphere with no frills. I ordered the "Seafood Bowl for 980 yen including tax" with less rice. The seafood bowl was served on slightly warm white rice, with 3 slices of tuna, 4 kinds of white fish including salmon, scallops, octopus, tuna sashimi, tamagoyaki, and pickled ginger. The sashimi slices were quite thick. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy such a seafood bowl at this price in Ginza. The miso soup with plenty of young shoots and a dashi made from dried sardines was also delicious. It was a satisfying lunch. When I told the owner how delicious it was, he kindly said, "Please come again."

I arrived at the restaurant around 11 AM on Saturday. The place was almost empty, with only one older man working. He provided polite service. I ordered the 980 yen seafood bowl, which was a good deal considering the location. The sashimi was delicious, although there could have been a bit more considering the amount of rice. Overall, it was a good experience.

<7.24-8.5 Mini solo exhibition at Ginzatappo> On 7/8, because Tanabata's business hours were until 25:00, I was feeling sleepy at lunchtime. I left the house without a plan, checked that everywhere in Higashi-Ginza had long lines, and headed to the Kamihigashi area. My destination was Ishimatsutei, which is open for lunch on Saturdays. It's a cozy izakaya close to the area with a weekday lunch image, so it's really convenient. I walked lightly down the stairs to the basement. Along the way, I saw a poster of Rio Yoshida, is there a connection? When I opened the door, I saw a young boy with his father at a table, a father with friends at the counter studying horse racing newspapers, and a solo diner at the back, each enjoying their own way. I sat at the table at the back where I could see everything. I ordered the Tuna and Negitoro bowl. It was served quickly, with pickles and miso soup. The tuna's sheen was beautiful. I realized once again that tuna and rice have been my favorite since I was a child. It was delicious. With the Negitoro on top, there's nothing more to say. I ate steadily with the simple tamagoyaki and sweet pickled ginger, not getting tired. After about 15 minutes, the father said, "You finished quickly even though you had a lot of rice." Thank you for your consideration, I enjoyed it a lot. I left quickly to prepare for my evening work. Thank you for the meal. I went to Create Ginza to place an order to further improve the printing quality for Yuunagi's solo exhibition. It's a bit of a niche specification, so I haven't seen the actual product with the same specifications, but it seems like it will become a piece that I will cherish. It's over ¥10,000 for a 6x4 print. I'll work hard on budgeting for the future. I'm grateful to the staff who kindly helped with various adjustments, brightness, and framing consultations to ensure there are no cropping issues in the photos. Since this specification seems suitable for standard printing, I plan to redo the photos for Manari Kitchen and Garan Bar. I will continue to connect them to the "mini solo exhibition." The story continues. Where should I go tomorrow?

I had a seafood bowl in Ginza, about a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station A2 exit. I arrived around 1 pm. It seems that the chef manages the place alone on Saturdays. I had the seafood bowl that I saw on the outdoor signboard for 980 yen. It's cheap to be able to enjoy it for less than 1000 yen in Ginza. It came with miso soup and small side dishes, and the seafood bowl had a variety of toppings such as tuna, salmon, sea bream, and firefly squid, with a good amount of rice and delicious taste. The miso soup had simple ingredients with just wakame seaweed, but it was very delicious. The aroma of the sea spread and the umami of the miso soup soaked into my body. Thank you for the meal.

It's been quite a while. On my way down the stairs, I saw some loaches that seemed to be prepared for the night, but they weren't there today. I was debating whether to fry them or have them as sashimi, but ended up having curry (laughs). I like the color that gives the impression of being simmered first. There is a lot of pork, so it's quite filling. As for the taste, it's nothing special, but it makes me want to come back and eat it again next week.

It's almost 2 p.m., a somewhat awkward time for lunch. I decided to take a stroll down a quiet street in Ginza, wondering if I could find something to eat. I came across a small signboard on the first floor of a mixed-use building, indicating the menu. The fact that the sign was still out made me think the place was still open. The overall atmosphere felt a bit worn out, in line with the surroundings of Ginza. The restaurant was located in the basement, adding to its mysterious vibe. Inside, it felt like time had stopped, with a retro setting where salarymen from the Showa era would gather to smoke and chat loudly at night. I carefully checked the handwritten menu posted on the wall and decided to go for a seafood bowl. Whether I was a regular or just a passerby, I couldn't tell, but despite the odd timing, there were a few customers scattered around. The donburi arrived on a tray, accompanied by miso soup and small side dishes placed neatly. The unexpected extras that weren't listed on the menu added to the charm of the place, making me feel like I got a good deal. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary, but for the price, it was satisfying. It was a comforting experience to see tired-looking customers and a worn-out atmosphere, enjoying a meal and momentarily forgetting about the hustle and bustle of work.

Today, I crossed over Showa Street and had lunch in an unexplored area. Without deciding on a specific restaurant, I ended up at a slightly retro izakaya located underground. Among the various lunch menu options, I chose the "Magukatsu (tuna cutlet)" for ¥1,100. The large cutlet, as the chef described, was said to be like "eating a fillet cutlet," but it was actually more juicy and tender than a fillet cutlet. The lively atmosphere of the restaurant, with many regular customers, made it a great place to visit.

Platto, today's lunch was a stroll around the Ginza area. Exiting from exit A2 of Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Higashi-Ginza Station, when you come above ground, you will see Harumi Street to your left. Walk a little towards Mitsukoshi Ginza store direction on Harumi Street, turn right at the first T-junction, walk for a while, cross the first crossroads, and a little further on your right you will see Higashi-Gin 1 Building. Descend to the basement floor using the stairs on the right side of this building, and you will find the restaurant I visited today, "Ishimatsutei", directly ahead. I entered the restaurant at 12:00 on a weekday. Upon entering the restaurant, the proprietress kindly said, "Please sit wherever you like," so I headed towards a table seat at the back on the right side after entering the entrance. As I glanced around the restaurant on my way to the table seat, I saw a pair of male customers dining. I sat down at the table and checked the menu posted on the wall. The menu includes: - Seafood bowl 980 yen - Special seafood bowl 1,800 yen - Ishimatsu bowl 1,400 yen - Zuke Uni bowl 1,200 yen - Zuke Negitoro bowl 900 yen - Sashimi set Matsutake 2,500 yen - Sashimi set Bamboo 1,500 yen - Sashimi set Ume 1,200 yen - Zuke set 1,200 yen - Negitoro bowl set 1,100 yen - 3-piece bowl set 1,200 yen - Salmon ikura bowl set 1,200 yen - Uni ikura bowl 1,500 yen - Tuna head 1,300 yen - Mackerel head set 1,200 yen - Large shrimp fry set 1,300 yen - Mag fry set 1,100 yen - Pork cutlet set 900 yen - Pork loin set 900 yen - Horse mackerel fry set 1,100 yen - Oyster fry set 1,100 yen - Meat tofu set 900 yen - Head set 1,100 yen - Curry rice regular 800 yen - Curry rice large 900 yen The most popular item, "Seafood bowl," caught my eye, so I ordered it from the proprietress. After a 3-minute wait, the "Seafood bowl" was served. The "Seafood bowl" consisted of a seafood bowl, a side dish (octopus mixed red and white pickles), pickles, and miso soup. The "Seafood bowl" was visually appealing and colorful in appearance. It was topped with chopped seaweed on rice, and various toppings such as "Kanpachi," "Mackerel," "Tuna toro," "Tuna red meat," "Negitoro," "Tamago," "Kamaboko," "Octopus," "Salmon," "Scallop," "Tobiko," "Wasabi," and "Gari" were placed on top. As I tasted the toppings of the "Seafood bowl," various flavors and umami spread in my mouth. Seafood is indeed delicious. I proceeded to eat the rice and toppings of the "Seafood bowl," enjoyed the side dish "Octopus mixed red and white pickles" and pickles, and finished with the "Miso soup." I quickly finished the meal. Today, I, Q-chan, enjoyed the colorful and popular "Seafood bowl" at the restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

Today's lunch was at a hidden gem in Ginza, Ishimatsutei! The atmosphere is gutsy, with a handwritten menu in a mixed building and a staircase leading downstairs. Despite the shady vibe, the interior exudes Showa-era nostalgia. The menu offers a variety of options, but I decided to try the Zuke Uni Don for 1200 yen. The dish arrived with a generous amount of marinated tuna topped with uni. The portion size exceeded the price, and the uni had a subtle hint of seaweed aroma. The tuna was moist with a good amount of fat, and the quality was evident. The miso soup with fresh seaweed and octopus side dish complemented the meal well. The cost performance for a lunch in Ginza is quite good, and the presence of regular customers adds to the credibility of the place. Surprisingly, their curry is also popular. I'm intrigued by the idea of topping curry rice with maguro katsu. Ishimatsutei is a hidden gem in Ginza where you can enjoy home-cooked meals while experiencing a sense of Showa-era nostalgia.

The "geta mori" (wooden clog-shaped) dish is still thick and plentiful, pleasing everyone! I posted a photo of a serving for one person, but it was satisfying. The atmosphere created by the older male and female staff is great, and I really like how when you ask for more they jokingly say they're too busy, so wait! The unique appetizer of deep-fried loach is also well-received, and all the food is delicious, making the organizer proud. The tuna cutlet and oyster fry are also delicious. Personally, I really love the potato salad that comes as a side dish and want to keep it a secret.

After the lunch rush around 12:30, the restaurant seemed to have calmed down. There were two solo diners at the counter and a group of three chatting in the back tatami area. This is my third time here, following visits from four years ago in the evening and three years ago at lunch. The fish was delicious, and I really enjoy the atmosphere of this Showa-era style izakaya. Today's special was a Negitoro and ikura rice bowl for 900 yen, served in a large bowl filled with rice, plenty of green onions, and a good amount of ikura, offering great value. The side macaroni salad had a nostalgic izakaya feel to it. The Daikon nukazuke miso soup was generously portioned with both soup and seaweed, but unfortunately, I couldn't finish it all. I apologize. I used to love the retro atmosphere, but my perspective may have shifted a bit since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Me ===========

(2021.06.16) I will visit the izakaya "Ishimatsutei," located just a short walk from Higashi-Ginza Station, where you can enjoy delicious seafood bowls at a reasonable price. The restaurant has been run by a husband and wife for over 40 years, with the husband focusing on sourcing fresh fish from Tsukiji and the wife providing warm hospitality. The establishment exudes a Showa-era atmosphere, making you almost forget you are in Ginza. While the staircase area and serving stations may be a bit cluttered, the cleanliness of the dining area is commendable. I decided to try the signature "Ishimatsudon," featuring a generous amount of marinated tuna, ikura, and uni. The uni and ikura melted in my mouth with a sweet flavor, and mixing the remaining uni with rice provided a rich and velvety texture. The marinated tuna was tender and packed with umami flavor.

Lunch on January 19, 2021 (Tuesday). Planning to work in Ginza in the afternoon, even after the new year, I had fried oysters in Ginza. I searched for "Ginza" and "Fried Oysters" and decided to try the restaurant that came up. When I arrived, it was the underground restaurant two doors to the right of Kyoan Ginza Sanchome Store. There were two other customers, and I was seated at the table farthest back. I was tempted by the seafood bowl (980 yen), Ishimatsu bowl (marinated tuna + sea urchin + salmon roe) (1200 yen), and marinated sea urchin bowl (marinated tuna + sea urchin) (1050 yen). I was also drawn to the curry rice (800 yen), meat and tofu set meal (850 yen), and horse mackerel fry set meal (1050 yen), but I stuck to my initial choice and ordered the fried oyster set meal (1050 yen). The restaurant is old and a bit messy. After 11:30, more and more customers started coming in. The fried oysters that came out were decently sized, with six pieces. The portion size was good. When I tried them, they were okay, nothing special. They may have been slightly over-fried. But I was satisfied. I would like to try their seafood bowl dishes in the future.

Located in a hidden spot on the backstreets of Mitsukoshi, this underground restaurant is truly a hidden gem. A small sign on the main street is easy to miss if you're not paying attention. I was looking for a place to enjoy fresh sashimi every day, away from the chain restaurants. The sign listed items like seafood bowl, sea urchin bowl, and mixed fry, all priced around ¥980 to ¥1200. Intriguing! Descending into the underground space, it was so quiet that I wondered if they were closed for the day. But they were open! It seemed to be run by a couple, with the wife taking orders. I couldn't decide between the seafood bowl and sea urchin bowl, but the wife recommended the Hokkaido sea urchin, saying it was deliciously sweet. So, I went with that. The interior was cluttered with items, almost like a storage room, giving it a unique charm. The meal included miso soup, pickles, a side dish (kinpira that day), and a cute dessert of mandarin orange, all for ¥1100 including tax. The marinated tuna was tender and flavorful, and the sea urchin was indeed sweet and delicious! I told the wife it was delicious when she asked. I also appreciated the warm atmosphere and the offer to accommodate any dislikes. I look forward to trying the seafood bowl or the fried horse mackerel next time. I will definitely be back! Thank you for the meal!

I visited a traditional izakaya called "Ishimatsutei" located in the basement of a building about a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station around noon on a certain day in September 2020. Upon looking at the menu outside the restaurant, I entered and sat at a table by myself. I ordered the "seafood bowl" for 980 yen from the lunch menu. It was served after a 7-8 minute wait, consisting of the seafood bowl, miso soup, side dish, and pickles. The seafood bowl had a variety of seafood toppings, and while the portion size was quite small, it was satisfying. The inclusion of a large piece of tuna was a nice touch. The side dish and pickles added to the overall satisfaction of the seafood bowl lunch. Although the price seemed slightly high, considering the location, it was acceptable to pay less than 1,000 yen. The worn-out feel of the interior was not very appealing, with a nostalgic Showa era atmosphere but damaged furnishings. Nevertheless, it seemed to be a well-loved old seafood izakaya in Higashi-Ginza by salarymen.

It's the slow uP! Last Friday's lunch was the Shanghai seafood bowl at Ishimatsutei in Ginza! Ah, all the toppings were delicious, especially the fresh mackerel hidden under the salmon roe! This was particularly good. As always, the bowl was filled with plenty of ingredients and very fresh. But the 300 yen price increase is a bit tough for salarymen.

The menu is reasonably priced, considering it's in Ginza. The restaurant is located underground and has an old-fashioned feel, which may not be preferred by women. I ended up spending quite a bit, possibly due to drinking too much, but I was able to relax.
