I visited the cafe around 2:00 PM on a regular day. There was only one group inside and still a few seats available. The items I ordered for takeout were: - Ice Coffee (Peru) for 600 yen - Biscotti for 400 yen. You can choose your favorite beans from over ten types of coffee, and they can also recommend based on your preference for acidity or richness! I was recommended the Peru coffee, which was mild in acidity. It was refreshing and delicious. The biscotti was crispy and the cocoa flavor paired perfectly with the coffee. I would love to go back again! Thank you for the meal.

Coffee specialty shop located about a 2-minute walk south from Kyodo Station (Odakyu Line). The shop has a long structure with tables for two people lined up. It may not be suitable for groups of three or more due to the shop's structure. As a coffee specialty shop, there are many types of coffee available. You can choose from beans from different regions such as Central America, South America, and Africa, with options priced at 600 yen and 800 yen. (You can also have it as iced coffee) This time, I chose Guatemala (600 yen). The processing method was written, and Guatemala was labeled as washed process. I'm sorry. I'm not sure what that process is, but if you ask the staff, they can explain. While waiting at the table, the Guatemala coffee arrived. It was delicious in its own way, but personally, it wasn't my preferred type of coffee. It didn't have much acidity as I hoped, and I prefer coffee with a more transparent bitterness. The shop also sells coffee beans. I might surprisingly prefer Starbucks over specialty coffee shops. Additionally, due to the shop's structure, the aisle is narrow, and it's not an environment for lingering. In front of the shop, there are awards displayed for the shop owner, such as 2nd place in the ISCA International Rose Tasters Cup and 3rd place in the Japan AeroPress Championship, among others (and many more). I have no idea how prestigious these awards are, and I apologize.

Before dinner in Kyodo, I adjusted my time. I found a small, clean restaurant tucked away in an alley. It may be hard to spot at first, but the cool interior with small tables and high stools creates a cozy atmosphere. The coffee I had was from Guatemala for 600 yen, served in a cup that seemed to keep it warm. It had a light bitterness and a gentle aroma. I find that lightly roasted coffee is delicious in the summer. Despite the short time I spent there, I had a good time and was able to reset my mood.

After eating curry for lunch, I suddenly felt like having coffee, so I stopped by "Fine Time Roaster" where I could enjoy the best coffee quickly. They offer carefully selected beans, primarily lightly roasted with a tangy flavor that you can't find in chain stores. The shop has a coffee stand style, so you can enjoy your coffee inside, but I prefer to sit on the bench outside and savor a delicious coffee before heading home. Today, I had an iced Worka Sakao from Ethiopia, which had a milder acidity compared to the hot version, making it a perfect refreshing taste for a hot day. I can't wait to stop by again. Thank you for the meal.

Recommended by a friend who lives in Kyodo, this shop is said to be owned by a world champion roaster. I ordered a hand drip of Ethiopian natural coffee for 600 yen. It had a berry-like or tea-like taste, easy to understand and delicious light roast coffee. I want to try other beans as well. Kyodo really has some great coffee shops!

Today, I found a taste that helped me alleviate the guilt of spending my holiday sleeping due to exhaustion. This coffee shop stands quietly off the main street of Ekoda, just one turn from Nodai Street. I had the Kenya Black Coffee today. This coffee is made from carefully selected beans, all lightly roasted, with a perfect balance of acidity that soothes the body. Enjoying a cup in a cute mug on the bench outside in the cold air was truly special.

On a Saturday afternoon, with only one other customer present, I ordered a café latte. It had a unique flavor that I don't usually find at Starbucks or Doutor, with hints of caramel. The café latte cost 600 yen for a single size, which felt a bit pricey. It's hard to describe the coffee's flavor, but it was delicious. I would like to visit again! They offered coffee beans ranging from 1100 yen to 1700 yen for 100g.

A specialty coffee shop that offers the finest quality green beans, roasted and extracted in a way that brings out the true character of the beans, providing an exquisite cup of coffee. The coffee, with a clean acidity and sweetness like fruit, offers an experience that cannot be found in chain stores. The green beans are carefully produced in small-scale quality control called Micro Mill, sourced from Central American farmers. They also import high-quality green beans from Norway, Oslo, using the Nordic approach and Collaborative Coffee Source importer. They use an American-made Diedrich 5kg roaster prominently displayed in the store, producing a variety of specialty coffees with stable quality based on daily profile records. The owner is a Coffee Master and Q Grader, who placed 3rd in the 2016 Japan AeroPress Championship. You can also get advice on how to enjoy the best coffee at home, so feel free to consult on beans for home use. Ice Latte: 600 yen (tax included), Cookie: 400 yen (tax included). Business hours: 12:00-19:00, Closed: Irregular holidays. On Sunday around 14:00, there were two groups of two people each ahead of us, so we waited for about 5 minutes. They accept payment through PayPay, credit cards, and other cashless options. I ordered an iced cafe latte. It had a balanced taste with less acidity and a strong sweetness from the milk, which made it very delicious. I will definitely visit again.

There is a coffee stand near Kyodo Station. There are benches outside the shop where you can also enjoy your drink. It's great to sit outside during the spring and summer. I ordered an iced cafe latte in one size. The portion was small but the flavor was rich and delicious. They also sell coffee beans and other items besides drinks.

I visited a coffee shop known for its dedication and the owner, who is an award-winning barista. Due to the state of emergency, they only offer takeout. When I visited, a young staff member was working instead of the owner. The staff member was knowledgeable and seemed to be well-trained, which made me look forward to future visits. Although I am not a big coffee enthusiast, I decided to try the recommended Colombian coffee. Hmm, it was a bit too acidic and fruity for my taste, but I could still appreciate the careful roasting and brewing process. I am now curious to try a different blend next time. I found a new cafe that I would like to visit again when I'm in Kyodo.

I visited this stylish coffee shop at 12:20 with a friend. My friend recommended a strong acidity coffee to the owner, and I tried the Ethiopia Natural Process for 500 yen per cup, which was carefully made. We enjoyed it on the bench outside the shop. It was definitely delicious.

I learned about a stylish micro-roaster near Kyodo Station from a magazine. Their Ethiopian natural coffee has a fresh berry-like acidity with a caramel-like sweetness and a sticky texture, roasted just right. It pairs well with a chocolate-filled, voluminous brownie that isn't too sweet!

Coffee shop hopping, second stop! This shop ranked 3rd in the 2016 J.A.C competition. If you win, you get to represent Japan in the World AeroPress Championship. This shop specializes in self-roasted, light roasts, and AeroPress brewing. They claim to bring out a mellow flavor that is smoother than French press. The light roast with a mellow acidity has a light and refreshing aroma, and even when it cools down, it remains delicious. According to the owner, there are only a handful of shops in Tokyo that serve delicious light roast coffee. The hurdle for exploring coffee shops seems high... The beans from Fine Times are available for purchase with a shipping fee of 200 yen.

I was recommended to visit a coffee shop in Toranomon with a light roast and acidity. I visited on a weekday at 2:30 pm with only one customer already there. More customers arrived one after another. It seems they only offer takeout due to the pandemic, but the atmosphere is nice. I chose a coffee from Honduras with medium body and pronounced acidity. It was incredibly delicious. I'm glad I came. Thank you for the meal!

Today, I went to Kyodo for the first time in a while. I had a meeting with a colleague at a stylish café called Fine Time Coffee Roasters. It was a lovely place renovated from an old folk house. The menu offers coffee beans from Central America, Africa, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and more. The café is known for its dedication to high-quality coffee beans, with a large roaster inside. The aroma was amazing. I ordered an iced café latte. The Salvadoran coffee had a honey roast flavor, which was a bit sweet. They also offer delivery coffee through UBEREATS for local residents. The rich milk and aromatic coffee in the latte complemented each other perfectly. Even in an iced latte, you could still enjoy the aroma of the beans. It was a wonderful time. I loved the cozy atmosphere of the café, especially the hidden back seats with ukuleles displayed. It's a very stylish interior. It was delicious.

A coffee shop found in Kyodo. Located down a side street, it's a discreet spot with a sophisticated and carefully crafted atmosphere. Despite it being a perfect day for a stroll, the interior is quiet, probably because it's still morning. I ordered a cafe latte at the counter for 500 yen, without specifying the beans. The latte arrived in a cute blue cup with art on top. It was a delicious latte with a good balance of milk sweetness and deep coffee flavor. The tables and stools by the counter are small and high, more suited for enjoying coffee rather than leisurely hanging out. It gives off a different vibe from a regular cafe, more like a coffee specialty shop. There is also an area in the back with normal height tables and chairs if you prefer a more relaxed setting. A young couple with coffee knowledge was chatting with the owner, who seems to have a lot of expertise and passion for coffee. The quiet atmosphere made it easy to overhear their conversation, although the coffee talk was beyond my understanding. The owner of this shop seems to have a strong passion for coffee and is knowledgeable, which might be reassuring for coffee enthusiasts. Despite the high level of expertise, the bright and welcoming atmosphere of the shop makes it accessible to anyone. It's a good balance, and I felt like anyone could enjoy the coffee here. I stumbled upon a great find just by chance. I would recommend this place to my cafe-loving friends.

Visited around 17:30 on a regular day. The master greeted me softly with a "hello." When I entered, there were more seats than I expected! Two-seater high counters lined up, and there were also table seats in the back. Initially, I only ordered coffee, but when I found out it was homemade, I couldn't resist ordering a snack as well. On that day, they had cookies, Florentines, and pound cake. You can choose from 6 types of beans for the coffee. I chose the "Burundi" which had a fruity feel and a hint of apricot aroma. ☆ Pound cake 300 yen ☆ Coffee 450 yen The coffee was refreshing as expected, and I enjoyed it smoothly. It might have been a bit too straightforward when paired with the snack. But it suited my mood at that time. The pound cake had a reassuring taste, baked with a classical recipe. Personally, I prefer stronger sweets if they were to be sold at a coffee shop. While waiting for the hand-drip coffee, various customers came in. A local housewife came to buy beans, and a university student who seemed like a regular customer chatted with the master. In a short time, I could sense that this was a beloved shop. The male master, who seemed to be running the shop alone, created a relaxed atmosphere, making it comfortable even for solo customers. One minor issue for me was that I sat at a high counter seat, and it was a bit uncomfortable for my long legs (laughs). I had just finished a workout, after all. Next time, I'll choose a seat at the back of the shop. That was the decision made on a windy evening.

I have always preferred the rich flavor of dark roasted coffee over the light roasted one, so I had been avoiding Blue Bottle Coffee. However, I finally tried a light roasted coffee and found it delicious. It was made from beans from Nicaragua that were fermented, giving it a unique aroma I had never experienced before with coffee. The taste had a nice balance of acidity and richness, making it a delightful experience. I can see why customers keep coming back for more.

The runner-up shop of the Coffee Roasting Championship 2019. They brew black coffee using a French press.
