The other day, on a whim, I tried glamping and it was still cold, haha. The tent had air conditioning, but the grilling area was outside, so it was chilly. While talking about this, a friend invited me to a yakiniku restaurant in Azabu, under the Oakwood Hotel, where you can enjoy a glamping atmosphere. Of course, I said yes! I had been curious about the Oakwood Hotel as well. I haven't been able to go far for a while, so I'm interested in nice spots nearby. I was excited to experience the glamping atmosphere - what could it be like? The restaurant's interior had a lovely atmosphere, with wood-themed tables, stylish chairs, and fluffy blankets draped over the chairs. It was exactly as I had heard - a beautiful setting. The lighting was also very nice. The interior design concept of the restaurant is "a Japanese-style yakiniku restaurant created by Nordic people in London," as written in the restroom. Even though it was indoors, we felt like we were outdoors, probably just us, haha. By the way, the restroom was also very tastefully decorated, which was nice. Wrapped in a fluffy blanket, we enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for our friend to arrive. Orders were placed through a touch panel. Our friend arrived about 5 minutes later, and during those 5 minutes, more and more customers came in. It's amazing how popular stylish restaurants are. Now, let's cheers. We started with my favorite harami and grilled it to perfection. The tabletop charcoal grill was excellent, with a smoke exhaust duct that worked really well, so it wasn't smoky at all. Great! The meat was marinated, but the "umami salt and vinegar sauce" on the table is also recommended for a refreshing taste. The staff recommended it to us, and I was excited to try it, but the marinated meat was delicious enough on its own, so I almost forgot about it halfway through (my forgetfulness acting up again). Every part of the harami was delicious! Among them, the spicy marinated piece on the front plate was particularly good. It had a nice chewy texture. We also ordered "Kobukuro" and "Mino" as sashimi, as it was recommended. Both had a good texture typical of sashimi. We enjoyed red and white wine, changing colors, while savoring the wine. "Senmai" was served as sashimi, but we decided to grill it instead! And lastly, I had the "naengmyeon" as a finishing touch! I've been loving naengmyeon recently. It was a larger portion than I expected, so we shared it with my friend. It was delicious until the end. The chairs were very comfortable, which is rare in yakiniku restaurants, so I felt luxurious throughout. Grateful for the invitation.
