First of all... the name of the restaurant was different, so after searching and researching (^_^;), I found out that on May 9, 2022, a soba restaurant that was originally there had reopened. It is now called "Yabukatsu" based on the curtain photo. I found it on Retty as "Soba and Genmai Yabukatsu." I have already requested the change on the Tabelog side.
I have been in my current job for almost six months now, and it is my first time in this industry (^_^;). I don't have any qualifications, and there are many things I don't know, so I have been exploring and learning a lot. In the midst of receiving guidance and feedback, a senior colleague who had been strict but affectionate with me decided to resign. It was so sudden that my heart couldn't keep up, and I felt a void.
When I exchanged contact information with a former colleague and continued to maintain a relationship, we happened to meet up. They suggested that we have dinner together as women, and they took me to a restaurant they recommended. They knew about my illness and suggested we eat something good for the body and not too burdensome, so they took me to "Yabukatsu."
The restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere with a nice wooden interior. The menu featured various cold and hot soba dishes, as well as healthy and delicious brown rice set meals. I was tempted by the brown rice set meals priced from 1050 yen, which were available even in the evening.
Although I was originally thinking of ordering soba, I had already eaten "tororo soba (with natto)" for lunch, so I was drawn to the chewy texture of the brown rice. I was impressed by the vegetable and meat roll set meal priced at 1200 yen, which my companion recommended.
I ordered the vegetable and meat roll set meal and also decided to try the soba tea, as it was said to be good for the body. After chatting and receiving a gift, the set meal arrived. It looked incredibly delicious and satisfying.
The main plate included side dishes and salad, with stir-fried vegetables, shredded dried radish, a dashi rolled omelette, and a salad with lettuce, onion, watercress, broccoli, and tomato. The two types of vegetable and meat rolls were accompanied by eggplant and pumpkin slices wrapped in pork with a teriyaki-like seasoning. The thick-cut fried tofu in the small dish had a gentle flavor, and the chewy and plump brown rice with a sprinkle of sesame salt on top was delightful.
The miso soup was comforting, with plenty of ingredients like enoki mushrooms, wakame seaweed, and tofu. It was delicious, and I enjoyed eating it all.
