At Haneda Airport, I felt a little hungry so I tried Kimuraya's bread. I had a curry bread and a melty naan curry bread, as well as a ham and egg bread (made with domestically produced whole wheat flour, although I forgot to take a picture). The fried curry bread had a classic and safe taste. The curry was not spicy, making it appealing to everyone. However, the melty naan curry bread was a bit disappointing. The bread was fluffy and delicious, but the filling was uneven, not quite what I was expecting. The next morning, I had the ham and egg bread, which turned out to be the best! The bread was fluffy and chewy, without the typical grainy texture of whole wheat flour, making it moist and delicious. It had a faint alcohol smell, which made me wonder if it was a unique aroma from the yeast used. I enjoyed it thoroughly without any leftovers. I didn't know that Kimuraya's bread was available at Haneda Airport, so it was a good discovery for me.

Haneda Airport layover. I usually drink at night, but for the sake of my health, I decided to have a Kimuraya anpan for lunch. In front of gate 11. There are soba shops, sushi restaurants, and onigiri shops around. I tried the NISSIN collaboration anpan, which was packed with nutrients in the skin part, giving it a dense texture. It doesn't compare to Calorie Mate, but it was satisfying. It goes well with Kimuraya's delicious an. I paired it with a bottle of Minami Alps natural water from the vending machine. It was a healthy lunch. Thank you for the meal.

On my way back from Sapporo, when I got hungry at Haneda Airport, I found a bakery called Kimuraya and bought a collaboration anpan between Kimuraya and Nissin Foods. The bread may have a slightly crispy texture, but the anpan was delicious and I enjoyed it in a tasty and healthy way.

I bought a pastry from Ginza Kimuraya in front of the boarding gate of JAL because I wanted to eat something on the plane. The anpan was smaller than I had expected. In this day and age, it's understandable. Each one costs 200-250 yen, which is a bit tough on the wallet.

It was a tricky departure time, so I hesitated, but I bought some bread at a shop inside the security area and enjoyed it. While Kimuraya is known for its anpan, I decided to go for the savory bread here. I was intrigued by the square bread, and chose the ham and egg one, and also added a curry bread. The bread dough was chewy and satisfying, thank you for the meal.

When it comes to anpan, it's Kimuraya. Perfect for taking out to eat while watching a movie on the plane. Located near gates 10-11 in the first terminal. Many people seem to use this spot as a checkpoint due to the steady stream of customers. Enjoy a delicious anpan and have a safe flight.

The seasonal five-color anpan for 1110 yen is a limited edition item this month. It includes cherry blossom, red bean, strawberry, Setouchi lemon, and apricot flavors. Enjoy the variety of tastes. The cream melon for 300 yen features melon pulp-filled cream wrapped in soft dough made from domestic wheat. The melon peel is crispy and flavorful, enhancing the overall experience. The store does not have a dining area but allows eating in the waiting area. There is no complimentary water or towels provided. Restrooms are located outside the store within the airport facility. Charging is available in the waiting area. The service is average, and the cleanliness and interior setup are also normal. You don't need to take off your shoes in this store. The store may be crowded depending on the season and time, with one other customer waiting in line at the checkout. Located within the airport security area, an additional airfare fee is required, making it a unique and rare store. Established in 1870, Kimuraya presented the first sake yeast sakura anpan to Emperor Meiji during his visit to Edo Castle. The store is known for its rich history and traditional offerings. Personal recommendation: Kimuraya Honten Haneda Airport Store is my second favorite anpan store on Tabelog, after Dore in Kanagawa Prefecture and tied with Shukurvan Shin-Yamaguchi Station Store in Yamaguchi Prefecture.

[Visit date: Late January 2022] I visited around 11 am on a holiday. The Foodlog rating at the time of the visit was 3.35. I was looking for something to eat before my flight at Haneda Airport, but nothing really caught my eye. I didn't want to eat too much because I wouldn't be able to eat at my destination. After some hesitation, I decided to go to a bakery. I couldn't see the prices from outside, but once inside, most items seemed to be around ¥300. There were many options, and I found myself unsure even after going around once. Here's what I ordered: - Croquette bread (¥280 including tax): I took it to go and had it on the plane. The size was small, but the croquette was mixed into the bread. The amount of sauce was just right, not too thin or too thick. It paired well with tea. It was good for a light snack. Thank you for the meal.

It was a departure in the early afternoon, so I needed a quick bite before boarding. I looked at a few shops but couldn't decide, so I ended up buying bread here. I got a curry bread and a sausage sandwich. The curry bread had a mild spice level, making it easy for anyone to eat. The sausage sandwich was satisfying. However, being at the airport, the price was a bit high (580 yen for 2 pieces). Maybe because it was New Year's, there weren't many options available. If I have the chance, I would like to visit again.

Last day of visiting my hometown. Headed to Haneda Airport to catch my flight back. Was thinking of buying some bread for breakfast the next morning when I saw a sign for Kimuraya bakery! I really wanted to get some anpan. Upon looking, they had Sakura anpan for 170 yen and Azuki bean anpan for 170 yen left. With no time to spare, I quickly purchased both types. When I got home, I had them for breakfast the next day. Both were on the smaller side. The Sakura anpan had smooth sweet bean paste filling. I usually don't go for smooth bean paste, but this was surprisingly good. The dough was moist and had a nice aroma, very delicious. The Azuki bean anpan had a nice texture with whole beans. Maybe because I had the smooth bean paste first, this one tasted less sweet. I don't know why, but sometimes when I try classic items from long-standing establishments like this, I end up realizing that this is the flavor I really like. I found them both to be very delicious.

At Haneda Airport Terminal 1, near Gate 11, I discovered a souvenir corner called "Tokyo Rediscovery" where I found Kimuraya. Since I had only bought Western sweets as gifts for my hometown visit, I decided to buy some anpan here for my family who loves them. The selection of products is not extensive, but they have anpan for souvenirs such as anpan with pickled cherry blossoms, anpan with sweet bean paste, seasonal limited edition anpan (they had apricot anpan), cream pan, and more. They also have curry pan and melon pan, of course. These would be great for snacking before boarding or during the flight. I think this will be a convenient place to buy souvenirs in the future.

Hello, it's Mamorumon from my travels. I rushed into this place while being chased by the check-in time at Haneda Airport. Since there was nothing to eat at home, I bought four items: egg sandwich, yakisoba bread, cheese bread, and curry bread for 990 yen. After buying them, I realized they were from Kimuraya... The egg sandwich had only eggs as filling, but the whole wheat bread was moist. The yakisoba bread had a generous amount of mayonnaise, with a soft bread and flavorful yakisoba filling. The cheese bread and curry bread were warmed up before eating, and the cheese was gooey while the curry was thick and both went perfectly with the bread. The bread itself was so delicious, I'm sure it would taste good even without any filling. I felt like cheering for the long-established bakery! ^_^

In Miyazaki Prefecture, there is a banana bread that has been gaining attention lately because you can eat the peel as well. I have actually tried eating a banana peel when it turns brown and is edible, but to be honest, the peel is not necessary. Even if you can eat it, it's not tasty. However, Kimuraya's Miyazaki banana bread is delicious, with the peel being part of it. Furthermore, the inside is banana, juicy and ripe. There is no dryness at all. Kimuraya's skills are amazing.

I visited the "Kimuraya Main Store Haneda Airport Shop" in the afternoon on a regular day. I didn't have time to eat before my flight from Haneda Airport, so I stopped by in front of the boarding gate. The shop is located on the shopping floor towards gate 11 after the security check area. It's a small shop with glass windows. The displayed breads are elegantly arranged, and it seems like they are placed in small quantities for hygiene reasons. I quickly bought some to take on the plane and enjoyed them at my seat. - Anpan (Sakura - sweet red bean paste): 170 yen A small round anpan with a cherry blossom salted on the center dent. The combination of sweet red bean paste and the saltiness from the cherry blossom is delightful. - Korone (Chocolate): 200 yen Another small-sized korone with a rich chocolate filling. The twisted bread has a fine texture and the taste is consistent. Maybe I was tired, as I ended up choosing two sweet options - red bean paste and chocolate. Both were small enough to satisfy my hunger just right. Thank you for the meal.

I bought some pastries here a week before going to Fukuoka, and I decided to have breakfast here again today. I wanted to have the "Amaou Anpan" that I enjoyed last week, but it seems to be a limited-time offer and they no longer have it. So, this time I tried the "Sakura Anpan" and the "Sake-kasu Ichigo Anpan". Both were delicious and I enjoyed them before boarding my flight. I always try different kinds of anpan, but Kimuraya's anpan is always tasty. The limited-time flavors always have a nice aroma, and the strawberry one this time had a great scent! They are a bit more expensive than pastries from convenience stores, but the satisfaction level is high.

At the end of March 2020, I bought some snacks at Kimuraya Sohonten in front of gate 11 at Haneda Airport Terminal 1. The seasonal limited edition "Sake-kasu Amaou Strawberry Anpan" for 230 yen is delicious with a great aroma. I have purchased seasonal limited edition anpan several times before, and they have all been delicious. The "Kiri-an" for 670 yen is more like a sweet treat than bread, with sweet bean paste wrapped in steamed bun dough and cut into bite-sized pieces. The cute bite-sized portions are perfect for a quick snack.

I visited the early morning opening store at Haneda Airport again. The location is the "Kimuraya Sohonten Haneda Airport Store" near gate 11 inside the security checkpoint of Terminal 1. Kimuraya is a well-known shop famous for their anpan, and they also have a branch at Haneda Airport. The store hours are from 6:00 to 20:00. I am a frequent early morning flight traveler, so this bakery is a delightful find for me. The bread I purchased this time was from the sake-kasu anpan series, which takes 10 days to make each loaf, showing the attention to detail in their popular anpan. The ones I bought were: - Ogura Anpan (158 yen, first sold in Meiji 7): Made with chunky red bean paste, it has a refined sweetness that doesn't linger in your mouth after eating. - Sakura Anpan (158 yen, first sold in Meiji 7): Using smooth red bean paste with a pickled cherry blossom as an accent. The bread is the same as Ogura Anpan but with a firmer texture, giving a nostalgic feel. I personally prefer the Sakura Anpan, it was very delicious! Thank you for the meal. In addition to anpan, this store also sells melon pan, curry pan, and other items. I learned that April 4th is "Anpan Day," commemorating the day when Kimuraya presented anpan to Emperor Meiji. I didn't know about this before, so I feel a bit wiser now.

[Location] There is a shop near Gate 11 at Haneda Airport's Terminal 1, beyond the security checkpoint. [Store, Interior] When you think of Kimuraya Sohonten, you think of that famous anpan shop, right? Anpan and other items are sold in bags of 5. In addition, there are various deli buns, sweet buns, and customers can pick what they like and pay at the register. [Food] I had to catch a flight at an odd time, so I bought some bread instead of lunch. I got a quiche bun and a curry bun for a total of ¥530. I ate the bread on the plane, and when the flight attendant served drinks, they also gave me a paper towel. Thank you. Japan's airlines really do provide good service, don't they? Bread tastes better when warmed up, especially deli buns. [Drinks] I think they were selling drinks in paper packs, but I can't quite remember. [Service] There was one male staff member and one female staff member. The service was average. An anpan might make a nice souvenir gift. I hope this review helps you choose a restaurant.

"Kimuraya Main Store Haneda Airport Store"☆A Stylish Adult Curry Udon Restaurant Open Early in the Morning|TOP"Cuud (Haneda Airport Terminal 1 JAL South Wing)"☆Get Kimuraya's Bread Inside the Check-in Counter for Breakfast the Next DayI was planning to depart from Haneda Airport in the evening, but since I had to leave early the next morning, I was wondering what to have for breakfast. I could have bought something from a convenience store, but I wanted to eat something delicious if possible, so I found Kimuraya at Haneda Airport and bought some bread for breakfast. There were interesting bread options like onigiri bread with tuna filling and the classic curry bread. There were also curry bread options that looked even more delicious when heated, but I chose the one that seemed tasty even without heating. Lately, there are convenience store items that say "Even more delicious when heated!" but for those who can't heat them up, it can feel like a loss, so it might be counterproductive. And of course, I had to have an anpan. I chose the seasonal fig and walnut anpan for a snack. I took the early morning train the next day, and all the breads were consistently delicious. They would have been even tastier if heated. I had the anpan as a snack after walking around, and it had a refined sweetness, making it feel like an adult's anpan. I could have looked for a bakery near the hotel where I stayed, but many bakeries close early, and even if they were open, it would have been close to closing time, and it would have been difficult to search in an unfamiliar area, so I was glad I bought them at Haneda Airport. They were much tastier than convenience store bread. It might make moms happy to buy bread for breakfast the next day when returning home tired from a trip. There were also assorted packs available. Since it was after passing the check-in counter, I could estimate the time and felt at ease. Thank you for the delicious food. A bakery near the boarding gate at Haneda Airport Terminal 1. I was looking for a place to have breakfast and ended up at this bakery in the food court area. I bought a red bean paste and sakura paste bun and a canned coffee. It cost 310 yen. The bun was smaller than I expected, more like a sweet treat than bread, but it was just right for a quick energy boost. A red bean paste bun with coffee is always a good choice.
