I have found a go-to place for quick errands. I pass by there a few times a month now. I called to reserve an AINORI bento box. When I gave my name, they quickly prepared it for me. The chicken and quail yakitori, tsukune (chicken meatballs), and tamagoyaki (rolled omelette) were all top-notch. But the best part was the eel kabayaki, which was incredibly delicious. Eel is best when freshly grilled, but sometimes it can still be tasty even after some time has passed. This bento box had high quality! If it were closer, I would make it a routine to have it at least once a week. It's an outstanding bento box that I highly recommend.

The eel here has an unchanged deliciousness, and the feeling remains the same, it's definitely here! The almond jelly also has a creamy and indescribable smoothness that you can't find elsewhere. It's irresistible! I am so happy! I am completely satisfied and energized. Thank you always!

I used to order takeout from this place, but it was so delicious that I decided to dine in. I ordered the eel bowl for 2,500 yen. The rice and eel were both incredibly tasty. The rice was fluffy and the eel was tender. It was delicious even without sansho pepper. It's hard to put into words, but there was a depth of flavor that is common in delicious dishes. In terms of taste, I prefer it over a famous restaurant in Hibiya. When I ordered takeout, the eel skin was crispy, but it was different when dining in. However, I love both versions. This might be the most delicious eel in the farmed eel world. If there are others that are better, please let me know.

I had the delicious grilled eel rice bowl at the hidden gem restaurant "Honmaru" near Onarimon. The grilling and steaming were just right, and I devoured it in no time! The sauce was a bit scarce, but it's not a problem because there is extra sauce on the table. I will definitely come back!

Today's lunch was at Unagi Hommaru, where I had the special deluxe eel rice bowl with extra rice, along with a beer. This restaurant is one of the direct-operated stores of the long-established "tenoji" founded in the 10th year of Bunsei (1827), and it has been run by an eel wholesaler since the Edo period. To celebrate being discharged from the hospital after a two-day stay, I treated myself to the special deluxe eel rice bowl with extra rice and a bottle of beer. Being operated by an eel wholesaler, this restaurant offers delicious eel dishes at a relatively reasonable price. It was my first time ordering beer, and I was delighted to find that it came with simmered eel. All of this for 750 yen was quite a deal. The special deluxe eel rice bowl had a high rice-to-eel ratio, and the fluffy grilled eel made it hard to swallow. There is no food that brings both satisfaction and a sense of fleeting happiness like an eel rice bowl. If you want to delay that sense of emptiness even a little, you have no choice but to choose a higher-grade eel rice bowl. Today, I was able to finish my meal without feeling too much of that fleeting feeling, but perhaps that sense of transience is also one of the charms of an eel rice bowl. The extra rice option for 150 yen was a generous portion, leaving me feeling stuffed and like a lord. The only downside is that the size of the grilled eel itself determines the price difference, making it a bit uncomfortable, but the special deluxe eel rice bowl comes with a homemade almond jelly that costs 350 yen if ordered separately. This almond jelly was exceptionally well-made. It may seem strange to have almond jelly at an eel restaurant, but it serves as a perfect dessert after the rich grilled eel. In the end, the total bill came to 5,700 yen. If feeling like a lord is worth it, then it's a bargain. Special deluxe eel rice bowl 4,800 yen, extra rice 150 yen, bottled beer 750 yen, total 5,700 yen.

I usually make a reservation before visiting, but today I stopped by without one. I arrived around 12 o'clock and waited in line for about 10 minutes, but they are always grilling so the turnover is quick and I was able to be seated fairly soon. The taste and cost performance are also good! The restaurant is clean and the staff are efficient and friendly!

I had passed by this place several times before, intrigued by the smell of grilled eel and the unique atmosphere of the restaurant. I was surprised to learn that it is a long-established restaurant founded in 1827. What was even more surprising was that this is the original main store. Although the main store is now only located in Otemachi, I remember having a delicious meal at the Tenoji branch in the basement of the Fukuoka Life Building on my first day as a working adult. I really liked it, but it closed down at some point. Around that time, there was also a reasonably priced eel restaurant called Tetsugoro in Toranomon (now closed), which seems to have been a branch of this place (it seems that "Tenoji" refers to the founder Tetsugoro). Both the Tenoji branch in the Fukuoka Life Building and Tetsugoro are now gone, but the main store here is bustling with customers during lunch on weekdays. I ordered the eel bowl (2500 yen) with less rice. The eel was thick and not too greasy, and the half portion was elegantly prepared and very delicious (even though there was still a lot of rice despite asking for less). The sauce was a bit light, but there was extra sauce on the table to add more. I was impressed that they served liver sashimi along with the pickles. That was a nice touch. I was very satisfied. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

Around 12:50 on a regular day, I visited this place for the first time. The first floor is for takeout, while the second floor is for dining in. It was about 70% full, and I was seated at a table towards the back. Today, I tried the Nobunaga Donburi for 2500 yen. It came with a small amount of rice, and I added a piece each of grilled liver and grilled fins. The Nobunaga Donburi was served in about five minutes, and it was like a bowl version of Hitsumabushi. It came with chopped seaweed and green onions. The liver sashimi and pickles were also included. I felt it was a bit tough, but the flavor was good. They didn't offer tea pickles with dashi. Next time, I want to try the regular Unadon. The service was great, with many friendly staff members. Thank you for the meal.

The special deluxe eel rice bowl (4,800 yen) comes with a whole eel. I asked for less rice. It also comes with eel liver and baby eel, all for this price. They also provide grilled eel from the beginning. On this day, they ran out of grilled liver, so I ordered eel wrapped in fins, which was very juicy and delicious! I visited for lunch, but it was very popular and there was a line. If you order alcohol, you get eel bone crackers and eel simmered in soy sauce, so there are plenty of snacks even for lunch! Located in Onarimon, Unagi Honmaru is a shop directly managed by the eel wholesaler "Tenoji," where you can enjoy eel on the second floor. You can also purchase bento boxes for takeout on the first floor! I really like the eel rice bowl. The balance of flavors is just right. The service is also very polite even when they are busy. #eel #unagi #Onarimon #UnagiHonmaru #eelricebowl #grilledeel #finwrappedeel #grilledliver #TokyoGourmet #MinatoWardGourmet #OnarimonGourmet #OnarimonLunch #WantToConnectWithFoodies #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #eellover #eelbowl #eelenthusiast #unagilover #unadon

After leaving the hospital, I decided to stop by a eel restaurant I saw on the way to treat myself to something delicious and boost my energy. The restaurant was located on the second floor. We arrived just in time before their break. My companion ordered a small set of hitsumabushi, while I ordered the deluxe eel rice bowl. Unfortunately, they were sold out of grilled eel liver, so we got the grilled eel fin instead. I only realized later that they were shaped like the letter "T".

I visited the super long-established eel restaurant "Unagi Hommaru" located a 5-minute walk from Onarimon Station, established in 1827. I arrived around 11:40 on Saturday and there was no wait. I was able to enter smoothly. It quickly became full and there was a line. I ordered the "Jou Unaju" for 3,800 yen, which came with liver and pickles. It was served in about 25 minutes. The eel was fluffy and tender, perfectly steamed and grilled. The sauce was just right, not too sweet or too spicy, with a flavor that I liked. I enjoyed it until the end.

The taste and cost are good. Avoid waiting in line during peak hours by coming in 10 minutes earlier. The eel here is so delicious that it's gone in no time. Whenever I come here, I always make sure to order the grilled eel liver. I don't usually eat it at other places, but it's a must-try here. It's so delicious that I come here about once every six months.

Recommended but almost don't want to share because it's really great value for money and delicious "Honmaru" restaurant. The first floor is a 190-year-old eel shop called "Tenoshi" with many eels swimming in black tubs. The second floor "Honmaru" is only open for lunch from 10:45 am, and we arrived at 11:30 am and were able to sit comfortably at a table for 4. When we left, there was a line of people waiting downstairs.
- Upper Unadon: 3800 yen
- Eel liver skewer: 600 yen
Let's eat! Looks delicious! The thick, savory eel with a crispy fat layer on top is amazing. The sauce is light but perfect. The rice portion is small but still filling. Plenty of fresh sansho pepper adds a nice kick. Eating the liver skewer makes you feel even healthier. So delicious! Eel is always reliable and satisfying. The Upper Unadon offers great value for money. It was really, really delicious. Thank you for the meal!

I think people who casually come alone to an eel restaurant for lunch are rich in various ways. Perhaps because we are near a hospital and have few businessmen, the customers who come in casually seem to be more local than those in suits taking a lunch break. The staff also seem familiar and friendly. They greeted me warmly even though I was a first-time visitor, and I felt my heart was enriched. And I enjoyed delicious eel, which made my taste buds and stomach feel rich as well. Thank you for the meal.

I was drawn in by the fragrant smell of grilled eel and entered the restaurant at around 12:15. There were 3 groups waiting, but since I was dining alone, I was seated before the others. I ordered the premium grilled eel set for ¥3,800, which came with liver soup and pickles. Upon opening the lid, my first impression was that the eel was small. Perhaps what I usually have at other places is considered extra premium here. The rice was thinly spread, so if you usually eat a lot of rice, you may want to consider getting a larger portion. Despite the small and thin eel, it was carefully deboned and the meat was tender and fragrant. The sauce was lighter than what you find in store-bought eel, but it was elegant and had a subtle taste that didn't get boring. For those who prefer a stronger flavor, there was extra sauce available on the table for dipping. The liver soup had a strong bonito flavor and no hint of liver smell. It seemed like the liver was separately prepared and added later to the soup. It was very delicious. While I had expected a larger and thicker eel based on the price before the recent price increases, considering the current circumstances, the price seemed reasonable. It's a taste that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and genders. The atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff's service were also excellent.

During my commute, I always smelled the delicious scent of eel, so I had been thinking of going for about 5 years. I finally visited because they accept Go To Eat coupons. I wanted to order the liver as well, but unfortunately, they were sold out since I arrived after 2 pm. The eel was fluffy and tender, with no unpleasant smell, and it was delicious. Recently, it seems like there are many places with small and thin eels, but the eel here had a good thickness and a decent volume. If it's 3800 yen in Tokyo, I would give it a passing grade in terms of cost-performance. However, eel has become quite expensive nowadays. If I had visited this shop 5 years ago, I could have eaten it for a lower price.

When it comes to eating eel, I always decide to come here. I would regret it if I go elsewhere. I always order the premium eel rice bowl. When there is some left, I also enjoy the grilled eel liver. The eel roll is also delicious! The homemade almond jelly that comes with the premium eel rice bowl is something I have never tasted before. Its texture is so unique - soft, chewy, and sweet, with a lingering sensation in the mouth that I find irresistible. The eel here is thick and fluffy, with a sauce that is not overpowering, allowing the flavor of the eel to shine. The rice is also delicious, so I always finish every last bit. This is my favorite eel place. The staff are always kind and have a warm demeanor, which I also love about the atmosphere of the restaurant.

I visited the restaurant because I was craving eel after a long time. It was lunchtime and raining, so I didn't want to wait in line. Luckily, there was only one group waiting ahead of me. The turnover was fast, so I was able to sit down smoothly. When I opened the lid of the Una-ju, a fragrant smell of eel filled the air. The eel was tender and not fishy, and the sauce was elegantly seasoned. Although the price was high, it was very delicious. Thank you for the meal!

It is located near Jikei University School of Medicine. The smell of grilling eel in the kitchen on the first floor whets your appetite. Today, I had the Nobunaga Donburi (eel rice bowl) for 2,500 yen. The crispy grilled eel was delicious and I quickly finished half of it. It's time for the tea-soaked rice, a special treat. I topped it with plenty of condiments and poured the broth brought by the staff. The tea-soaked rice brought out the flavor of the eel and made me feel very happy. This might be the perfect remedy for summer fatigue. Next time, I want to try the Aino-ri Donburi (a bento box with eel and grilled chicken) for takeout.

Established in the 10th year of the Bunsei era, with over 190 years of history, this eel restaurant is directly managed by the owner. I'm not sure what the 10th year of the Bunsei era means, but it is a long-standing establishment. I love Tokyo eel because it is steamed and has a fluffy texture. It was delicious! Also, when I ordered one serving of umaki, they brought it out split into two plates for sharing. It's nice to receive this kind of small service. I will definitely be coming back!

The restaurant was full within 10 minutes of opening. We decided on the special eel rice bowl and patiently waited. My daughter loves grilled eel liver, so she ordered that while we waited. The size and quality of the eel liver and grilled eel were consistent as always, which was reassuring. The beautiful sansho pepper was also present as usual. Enjoying the juicy eel rice bowl, we felt satisfied and content. The fresh, vibrant color of the sansho pepper added to the delicious eel dish. Another enjoyable meal with a sense of fulfillment.
