When I did some research, I found a small shop next to Hosomichi Park. They didn't have any bread! Have they stopped making bread? I purchased some pre-made crepes instead. I got a Pine Whip roll crepe for 150 yen and a Black Pork Frank for 450 yen. Both prices were tax included. The Pine Whip had a combination of custard, whipped cream, and sweet canned pineapple on a chewy crepe, creating an enjoyable texture and delicious taste. It was exactly as I had imagined. The small size was just right. I recommend it for those who want to enjoy a little taste of crepe. The Black Pork Frank had a sweet dough with a crunchy tartar sauce made from Iburi Gakko, which was also enjoyable. The frank itself was substantial and had a good amount of volume. Although it was delicious, I might prefer to eat it with bread. ===========

I was born and raised in Nakano Ward. When I want to eat crepes, I often go to "Challenger" in Nakano Broadway underground. However, it takes more than 10 minutes to walk there from my home. I also want to eat crepes at Nakano Station South Exit. Gekidan Tanaka is the perfect place that fulfills this request! It's located near the elementary school I used to attend 10 years ago (which is now closed). It's behind my regular Co-op store, in a small alley off Nakano Street, so the location is not the best. But the crepes are amazing, especially the strawberry crepe, which is luxurious. The crepe has a great chewy texture. I'm currently on a low-carb diet for health reasons, so I can't eat them frequently, which is a shame. Sometimes I use the excuse of needing a pre-workout meal before exercising to eat the red bean and rice cake crepe. They also have hamburgers, fried bread, and curry bread besides crepes. The customer service is good, and the atmosphere is cozy. There are benches inside the shop, so you can also eat your crepe there.

There used to be a tatami shop called Ono Tatami Store for a long time, but it closed down about two years ago. In its place, an old lady who used to run the tatami shop started a homemade food shop called "Osouzai Handmade Store Ochan." However, the storefront seemed to be getting more vibrant and geared towards young people, so I decided to take a closer look. To my surprise, it had transformed into a crepe and bread shop called "Gekidan Tanaka." The name somehow gave off vibes of Kishimoto Takuya. I have no idea. I purchased a white fish fry bread (tax included 340 yen) from the case where side dishes used to be displayed. Let's review it while comparing it to McDonald's Filet-O-Fish, which is the most famous white fish fry bread. In terms of bread taste, Gekidan Tanaka was the clear winner, showcasing the bakery's expertise. I personally think McDonald's tartar sauce is more refreshing and better. The taste of the white fish itself was better at this shop, but McDonald's is freshly fried, so it's a draw. It's hard to see in the photos, but the shredded cabbage included was a nice touch for me. However, Filet-O-Fish has cheese in it, making it even better in my opinion. In terms of portion size, this shop slightly surpasses McDonald's and is 30 yen cheaper, making it a product that can compete with Filet-O-Fish. Now, this shop sells crepes, bread, sweets, and surprisingly, oden. A crepe shop with oden. It's understandable that they would want to add something warm to the menu during the winter season. However, I don't think they would consider selling oden in this type of shop. I like to imagine that the old lady from the former tatami shop is still active and secretly making oden in the back of the shop, even though she can no longer stand in front of customers.
