I visited around 12:30 on a weekday. The restaurant was about 80% full but I was seated right away without waiting. The food arrived quickly after ordering. The mackerel, rice, and miso soup were all delicious! The pickled turnip was too tasty! I thought it would be a great place for a weekend lunch with friends. Definitely worth a visit!!!

This was my first visit to this restaurant. The branch that used to be in Nishi-Shinjuku where I used to go has disappeared, so it had been quite a while since I last visited. I was lucky to be able to enter without waiting as it was towards the back during lunchtime on a weekday, but when I tried to enter around spring break, there was a long line and I had to give up. I was able to enter smoothly this time. The restaurant has a small seating capacity, with one round table with 6 seats and about 2 tables for 4 people each. There may not be many seats, and they may have reduced the number of seats due to COVID-19 measures. The restaurant itself is not very large. I was seated at the 6-seat round table. As soon as I looked at the menu, my excitement quietly increased. The restaurant uses a different type of rice each week. They use rice from famous rice-producing areas such as Niigata, Miyagi, and Iwate. I think they also adjust the water amount to match the rice, but the fluffy cooked rice is delicious. The menu is divided into two main types. One is a set meal where the rice is served in an ohitsu (rice container) with accompanying side dishes. The other is onigiri (rice balls). They are made to order. I love onigiri, so I couldn't resist ordering 3 of them this time. I also ordered miso soup, tamagoyaki (rolled omelette), and a seasonal side dish. They were served in about 7-8 minutes. The 3 onigiri I chose were salmon, salmon roe, and plain (salted). I couldn't skip the salted onigiri to truly enjoy the rice. I also struggled with choosing other fillings. In my head, Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen was muttering "bonito flakes," "salmon," and so on. By the way, for an additional fee, you can combine 2 types of fillings. This time, I stuck to simplicity and chose one filling for each onigiri. I started with the salted onigiri. The aroma and deliciousness of the rice and seaweed were superb. Since it was freshly made, the rice was warm. The salmon and salmon roe onigiri were full of ingredients and very satisfying. I was full and happy with the delicious rice. The miso soup had a strong bonito flavor, which paired perfectly with the onigiri. The tamagoyaki was sweet, and the seasonal side dish was a dish of grated nagaimo (Chinese yam) and okra. It's a simple yet delicate and amazing Japanese restaurant where you can enjoy the best of Japanese cuisine. Thank you for the meal. I will come again!

I chose the miso-simmered mackerel from the lunch bento box. The weekly bento featured Hitomebore rice from Iwate Prefecture, Kesennuma. I usually don't get seconds, but when they offered hojicha tea rice porridge, I couldn't resist. Although, if it was rice porridge with salmon, that would have been even better. It was delicious. Oh, I just realized my set didn't come with a rice paddle. I wonder why.

I visited around 2pm for lunch. The restaurant was not crowded, so I was seated right away. This time, I had the eel rice box. The eel had a rich flavor, and the rice was slightly chewy and delicious. Personally, I was happy that it came with a large serving of miso soup. It seems they also offer takeout.

[O-hitsuzen Tanbo - Rice Field] This restaurant near my regular hair salon specializes in dishes centered around high-quality rice. I had the Cold Tororo O-hitsuzen for ¥1,600, with unlimited rice refills. The delicious rice and tororo combination made for a satisfying meal. #Rice #O-hitsuzen Tanbo #O-hitsuzen #Koshihikari rice from Niigata #Tororo #Lunch #Omotesando gourmet

This time, I accompanied a friend to a beauty salon. On the way back, we stopped by O-hitsuji-zen Tanboso for dinner. The bonito sashimi, which was labeled as being caught by a single line, was delicious with sesame dressing. I enjoyed the ochazuke, which had tea made from brown rice as a base. Despite feeling a bit of summer fatigue from the hot days, the dinner went down smoothly. The miso soup was also delicious, so I recommend giving it a try. However, I felt that the prices were a bit high.

Delicious rice bowl restaurant. Considering the location in Omotesando, the prices are reasonable, especially at night, which gives a sense of value (although they close early at 8 pm). The menu is not very extensive, but they have essentials like salmon and ikura rice bowl, and marinated silver cod. There is a counter where you can easily dine alone and enjoy a hearty meal, making it convenient for lunch as well.

The food is delicious! That's all there is to it. I ordered the seasonal menu of saury and it was quite tasty! It's light but the seasoning is just right to make you want more rice. It was also incredibly delicious when made into ochazuke, but I enjoyed eating it with plain rice too. I want to go again. Just be aware that they don't accept credit cards (only PayPay or cash)!

I had an early dinner just before 4 o'clock and tried the mentaiko ohitsu meal. There was a lot of mentaiko! Mentaiko on top of rice is the best. At first, I ate it normally, then added grated yam to make ochazuke. It's great that you can enjoy it in various ways. It was so delicious!

It's been a long time since I visited this restaurant. The first time was about 20 years ago, but this time it tasted even better. I ordered the salmon and salmon roe bowl. It would have been fine to have it as ochazuke, but I couldn't bear to waste any, so I ate it all normally! It was really delicious. Thank you for the meal.

The restaurant always has a long line during lunchtime, but this day I was lucky to go in smoothly as it was a gap time. It was around a little before 2 PM, and after I entered, the line quickly formed again. People from nearby companies were also coming to pick up their reserved onigiri, which looked very appealing! I had the lunch set (grilled salmon) on this day. The rice alone was delicious, but the side dishes made it even better, I wish I had time for seconds. It took about 30 minutes from ordering, so next time I want to go with more time to spare. Thank you for the meal!

I have visited this restaurant at least 20-30 times, always enjoying their miso soup, rice, and grilled fish. It's a simple Japanese meal that brings comfort and warmth to the heart. This is the kind of place you want to keep coming back to. The prices range from 1500 to 2000 yen, and they accept cash or PayPay.

I had the seasonal O-hitsu meal. This month's dish was salt-grilled mackerel. The rice had a perfect texture, allowing me to fully enjoy the flavor of the rice. Even though I usually eat small portions, the meal was so delicious that I ended up eating 1.5 bowls of rice. The mackerel was seasoned just right to complement the rice. The flavor of the shiso leaf underneath the mackerel added a nice touch. The yokan dessert had a jelly-like texture and tasted fresh. The entrance was a bit hard to find due to construction work outside and the restaurant being located underground.

It went smoothly without having to wait, which was lucky. I was happy to be able to enjoy a meal where I could taste the flavors of the ingredients. I'm thinking about trying the eel meal next time. Thank you for the feast.

When I visited Omotesando, I wanted to eat Japanese food so I decided to visit this restaurant. I arrived around 12:30 and had to wait for about 20 minutes because all the seats were taken. The interior of the restaurant was surprisingly small. There were many solo diners, so it's also good for having lunch alone. I ordered the grilled salmon set meal. The rice was freshly cooked and piping hot. There were many types of condiments, so the rice was very enjoyable! It's also great to eat it as ochazuke.

I had some errands nearby so I checked the information on Tabelog and decided to visit this place. I was the second group to enter, but it seems to be a popular spot as a line started forming after us. I had the maguro (tuna) chutoro o-hitsu meal. At first, I wasn't sure how to eat it, whether to have it as it is or turn it into ochazuke later. Also, I was wondering where to dip the sauce and if there was a spoon for the ochazuke. I ended up just eating it as it is since the place was small and crowded, and the staff were busy. It was delicious, but as someone who prefers sweeter flavors, I didn't find anything particularly outstanding. When considering the price and portion, I'm not sure if it's the best value. Other menu items might be different though. Sorry, this is just my honest opinion!

[Tokyo * Fluffy Japanese cuisine / Cozy interior *] - 3 minutes walk from Omotesando Station - Salmon and salmon roe rice ball ¥410 Golden eyelet pickled mackerel rice bowl ¥2,200 A Japanese restaurant quietly tucked away in Omotesando. While there are plenty of stylish cafes and elegant restaurants around, ultimately, nothing beats authentic Japanese cuisine that truly represents the essence of Japan. The rice is fluffy, and the gentle seasoning brings out the best in the delicate ingredients of Japanese cuisine, allowing you to truly relax and unwind. The rice balls are generously filled with ingredients, and just one of them is enough to fill you up! Not only is the food delicious, but the calming atmosphere inside the restaurant is incredibly soothing. Japanese cuisine is truly wonderful, isn't it? Choosing such traditional Japanese cuisine in Omotesando was a delightful experience.

I had been interested in this restaurant for a while. It's a bit of a walk from Shibuya. I arrived around 12:30 pm and there were about 6 customers ahead of me in line. It took over 30 minutes to be seated. You need to have some extra time. The food is like authentic set meals! It's nice that you can have ochazuke at the end! Thank you for the meal!

Next week, for White Day, my partner asked for a small wallet as a gift, so we went shopping in Omotesando and ended up having a late lunch. Most places were closing around 2 or 3 pm, but we found a place called "O-hitsu-ya Tanbo" on Tabelog that serves rice-based set meals. Even though it was past 3 pm, there was a line all the way up the stairs leading to the basement where the restaurant is located. We waited for about 30 minutes before finally getting in. We ordered the Seasonal O-hitsu set meal with grilled salted yellowtail for 1600 yen, and the Tuna O-hitsu set meal with medium fatty tuna for 1800 yen. The amount of tuna was really small, almost like a token gesture. The grilled yellowtail was delicious, but the portion of side dishes was way too small. Apparently, you can have another small bowl of rice for free, but the side dishes were lacking.
