I went to Sizzler for the first time in a while. Today, I was in the mood for the salad bar. It's about 1000 yen more expensive than the Lunch Express, but I wanted to eat a plate of fresh vegetables and fruits separately. I don't like it when fruits are mixed with dressing, you know? I ended up eating too much and that was my only meal for the day.

On a Sunday at 11:00 am during summer vacation, after finishing errands in Shinjuku Nishiguchi to avoid the rain from Typhoon 7, three people entered the restaurant. A woman in Aloha attire warmly greeted them with "Aloha, hello." The Hawaiian & South Pacific Ocean Fair was being held. The spacious and bright interior with Hawaiian music playing created an open and pleasant atmosphere. They ordered the Sizzler Surf & Turf and salad bar for three people, totaling 16,390 yen. They shared the luxurious T-bone steak and two lobsters. The salad bar offered unlimited refills, including salads, fruits, desserts, and drinks. The restaurant also featured Royal's famous curries, such as beef and Kashmir, as well as tacos and pasta. They may have eaten a bit too much. Two people continued chatting while one person left for home. It's also a good idea to bring a book and spend half a day at the restaurant with unlimited time at the salad bar (3,223 yen).

There are plenty of options at the salad bar alone! Not just salads, but also soups, pasta, and desserts. It's a Friday before a long weekend, and there's a bit of a line. It seems like there are a lot of families or older, more mature customers. There weren't many young people today. It's a great place to go with female friends or health-conscious friends.

36 years ago in Hawaii. First Sizzler!! The shock of seeing raw broccoli and cauliflower at the salad bar remains vivid in my memory. It landed in Japan in 1991, 32 years ago. I revisited the nostalgic Mitsui Building store with my mom friends. Unable to make a reservation on the day, we waited for about 30 minutes inside the store. Hawaiian Fair was being held, so I ordered a Kona Beer Beer Flight - a tasting of 4 different beers. The beers were served in a large bucket with plenty of ice, and the chilled Kona Beer was so refreshing! My excitement level went up instantly!!! When I ordered the salad bar, I also ordered unlimited Cheese Toast. I had no idea about the existence of Cheese Toast before - it was beyond my expectations! The Cheese Toast was incredibly delicious - crispy and fragrant on the outside, and fluffy on the inside. I started with 4 pieces, then added 4 more - I devoured them all! The salad bar had a wide variety of options, and the taste was also very delicious. My favorites were the couscous salad and pickles. The couscous had an Asian flavor, and the pickles had a spicy and tangy taste with green tomatoes and pineapples - perfect match for the beer! The octopus chips with salsa and guacamole were also excellent with the beer! Although I didn't try them, there were also curry, pasta, and gratin available. The apple crumble dessert had a delightful taste, and the almond tofu had a strong almond essence - both were great. I indulged in fruits like dragon fruit, lychee, and oranges, but the pineapple was exceptionally delicious! I was amazed by Sizzler's evolution! I was satisfied with the delicious food, so I don't mind waiting in line. For those who don't want to wait, make a reservation in advance. I will definitely revisit!! Thank you for the meal!!

I revisited the restaurant in August 2023 around 17:40 on a weekend for dinner. The restaurant was about 90% full. This time, I ordered the "Grilled Lamb Chops" verbally. It was brought to me as soon as it was ready. The grilled lamb chops had a safe flavor. Honestly, after eating several plates from the salad bar, which was finally served, its presence as the main dish felt diminished. There were various options at the salad bar, and I couldn't finish them all. I ate a variety of dishes, and my stomach was satisfactorily full. It had been about 11 years since my last visit, but I might have the opportunity to go again.

Here, the salad burger is really delicious. The plate in the photo is a menu for two to share, which includes beef steak, pork spare ribs, and grilled chicken. It feels like a good deal, but in terms of price value, you shouldn't expect too much from Sizzler haha. Among the meat dishes, the spare ribs were very delicious with tender seasoning, but the beef had a bit of chewiness and felt somewhat mediocre.

I wanted to eat lots of vegetables so I went with a friend! We ordered a seafood platter with a salad buffet. There were many different dishes and I was very satisfied! I was really happy to see they also had tacos! I thought it might be a bit pricey, but considering the variety and quality, I didn't mind at all! I heard that the vegetables change with the season so I will definitely go again!

I used Lunch Express and couldn't believe how high the cost performance was. They gave me two plates where I could freely choose salad, fruits, hot food (pasta, curry, etc.), bread, and dessert. It also came with all-you-can-drink beverages. Actually, I was already full after finishing the first plate.

Time has passed, so I'll keep it brief (today is 7/6). Celebrated my nephew's birthday at Sizzler in the Shinjuku Mitsui Building. It's been ages since I last went to Sizzler. I'm not even sure if I've been to one in Japan before... The main attraction is the salad bar. It's not just fresh vegetables, but also cooked vegetables, meat dishes, omelettes, rice, curry, soup, and desserts. They even have self-service soft-serve ice cream. When I went to Sizzler in the US about 30 years ago, it was mostly just raw vegetables (even mushrooms and broccoli were raw), so compared to that, the lineup here was quite user-friendly and appealing. There was a small cake prepared for my nephew's upcoming birthday next week (a pretty cute cake, haha). The only downside is that it's a bit pricey (almost 3000 yen per person just for the salad bar). Overall, with the sponsor, it was a comfortable, enjoyable, and delicious place to eat.

[Date] On a weekday at 5:30 PM, my girlfriend and I finished work early at a client's place and decided to come to this restaurant. She wanted to eat a lot of vegetables. [Order] I had the Shizlar steak 150g, which was a bit tough but not too fatty, just a normal steak. The salad bar had a decent variety and I enjoyed it. I felt healthier after eating. They also had desserts like soft serve ice cream, which I think kids would enjoy. I imagine it gets crowded on weekends, but I wonder if there's no wait on weekday nights? If I feel like eating vegetables again, I would like to come back. I think it's a good restaurant to visit when you're craving vegetables.

SIZZLER Shinjuku Mitsui Building store I've been to Sizzler too many times. This time, I tried the Quick Lunch. Located in the Mitsui Building, the first Sizzler store in Japan is right in the middle of the skyscrapers in Nishi-Shinjuku. The restaurant has a glass exterior, offering a view of Nishi-Shinjuku from every seat. Sizzler used to have a high-end image, but now they offer Quick Lunch options like the one in the first picture. They even have a course where you can use a special plate and enjoy the buffet twice, perfect for those with limited time or small appetites. The price is around 1500 yen, which is about 1000 yen cheaper. Cheese toast is available for an additional charge. I go there when I need a quick and easy way to get a variety of vegetables when I'm lacking in vitamins. The restaurant is spacious enough to accommodate strollers and wheelchairs. It's recommended to make a reservation for lunch through their website.

With 6 friends, we visited a salad bar that also offered spare ribs and seafood. It was somewhat crowded, and at times it was hard to find what we wanted as they were slow to replenish. However, they allowed for original customization which made it fun. There were also desserts available, so we enjoyed ourselves until the end.

This is a grill restaurant featuring a salad bar, perfect for groups or families. It has a welcoming atmosphere for solo diners as well, but it's more enjoyable to go with a few people. The meat is delicious and there are many options at the salad bar, which can be overwhelming. They also offer sets with curry, pasta, tacos, and dessert all included in the salad bar. You might end up overeating because it's so good, but the service can be just okay when it's busy. Unfortunately, the drinks are nothing special.

It's been a while since I had a meal at Sizzler. It was my first time at this restaurant, and the atmosphere inside was nice, allowing for a relaxing meal. I ordered 3 pieces of cheese toast for my reservation at 12:00, and it came out quickly. It disappeared in no time, and I forgot to take a picture. At this time, there was a huge crowd at the salad bar. The timing was off, so I went for drinks and soup instead. Despite that, I lined up for a window seat, and the weather was nice and pleasant. It was extremely cold outside, but it was a good experience. I wonder when I'll come back next time.

I felt like having Sizzler's salad after a long time... I visited around 1pm on a weekday. This was my first time at this store. I was guided to a window seat, but they changed it to a booth seat for me. I ordered my favorite shrimp without potatoes, white wine, salad bar, 2 pieces of cheese toast, and a tortilla. The salad had plenty of fresh vegetables and I was really full. I also had an iced coffee. I was healed by the bright smile of the male staff. I didn't realize I had ordered cheese toast until I asked about it ☺️ Next time, just the salad bar should be enough... The salad bar and the inside of the store were very spacious and clean. I would like to visit this restaurant again. It was delicious, but I was too full that I couldn't eat dinner or breakfast the next day.

I'm sorry for the messy photo. I came back after the new year, but the prices have changed. The Lunch Express used to be 1500 yen including tax, but now it's 1500 yen excluding tax. Not only did the price go up, but the restriction of only having 2 drinks has been lifted, making it more comfortable in a way. I still think it's cheap enough, so I will continue to go there.

It's the annual tradition of having lunch at Shizura at the end of the year. Since there are very few places open during the year-end and New Year holidays around here, I decided to go to a place that is definitely open rather than wander around. The restaurant is quite busy. It seems like everyone has the same idea... Today, I ordered the usual salad bar and my favorite cheese toast, and enjoyed a leisurely healthy lunch.

Lunch Express is great. It's only available on weekdays during lunchtime, but for 1500 yen you get 2 plates, 2 drinks, 1 soup, and 1 dessert. It's a good deal compared to the unlimited salad bar for 2780 yen. The meat dishes are delicious, but the Sizzler's vegetables at the salad bar are satisfying. You might think it's messy to pile the salad high on the plate, but Lunch Express is enough to satisfy most people and leave you feeling full.
