Kinky Boots for the second time. Met up with friends at 11:00 at the Over Canal on the 7th floor of Hikarie. Unaware that the elevator wouldn't open if you weren't there exactly at 11:00, I mistakenly went up to the 11th floor... Since there were few people, I took a video at a place where I usually can't stop. Not knowing what to do next, I got back on the elevator and randomly pressed a floor button, which stopped at the 8th floor! When I got off at the 8th floor, I realized that everyone knew about it. There were many people around the escalator, and I spotted a few people carrying Kinky Boots bags. At exactly 11:00, the security guard removed the rope in front of the escalator, and people lined up in an orderly fashion to get on the escalator. I was the first one! (kind of embarrassing) I looked at the menu and waited for my friend (we had decided on omurice). Since we were going to see a play, I resisted the urge to order a drink. I didn't even drink water! My friend arrived soon after, and she had also decided on omurice, so we ordered two. I thought it would be light, but the eggs filled me up more than I expected, and I kept saying "I'm full" while finally finishing it. It was delicious! Everyone around us was also eating omurice. On weekends, it was not a lunch set but a single item for 1300 yen. I went to the restroom, and when I returned to the 11th floor, the venue had already opened. Oh no, I'm late!! The merchandise booth already had a long line. The line extended to the floor above. It seems that there is still stock of the Kewpie dolls. Please don't sell out!! After waiting for about 20 minutes, I finally reached the front of the line! But just as I thought it was my turn, they announced, "Costume Kewpies are sold out!!" Oh no! Some people released a sigh. It seems everyone was after the Kewpies. But I was able to buy the black T-shirt that was sold out last time. I'll wear it next time!! I was so excited that I ended up buying a mug too. The cast for that day had the same angels as last time. The young Charlie was played by Riku Furusawa and the young Lola was played by Itsoku Takahashi. Compared to the preview premiere, the audience's excitement was more subdued, but I felt that Yuu Lola was a bit more relaxed. The other cast members were also more lively! I guess the preview premiere is nerve-wracking. Teppei Charlie seemed to have a sore throat. His voice was hoarse and he seemed to be struggling during the high notes. Hang in there! The standout performer of the day was Itsoku Takahashi as young Lola. He seemed to have grown quite a bit since Nipper, and his clear pronunciation and vocal strength were impressive! Bring it on, Orb Zero! After the show, the feeling of happiness was overwhelming. I once again realized that there is no musical that can make you feel this happy.
