I had a meal with a former colleague at this restaurant. We enjoyed delicious Japanese cuisine and sake in a cozy private room. The food was meticulously prepared, and the grilled conger eel tempura was especially tasty. I recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience.

Kappo Restaurant "Kisoan Sasaki" in 2021 ✨✨ The owner, Yasutomo Sasaki, has been working in the Japanese cuisine industry since he was 15 years old. He trained at the pioneering Ginza kappo restaurant "Hamasaku" as a chef. He then served as the head chef of the Japanese cuisine department at "Aoyama Diamond Hall" and "Q.E.D. CLUB" in Ebisu. The owner of Kagurazaka Sasaki is his son. A restaurant that Akinton (..) who loves Japanese cuisine likes. I will revisit it after a long time. The restaurant opened in 2010 and is located a 6-minute walk from Iidabashi Station on the Tokyo Metro. The exterior has a lovely Japanese atmosphere, and the interior is also neatly maintained. It has a nice and calming atmosphere. Enjoy Japanese cuisine at the counter seats. ◼ Chef's selection of four dishes 5000 yen (excluding tax and service charge) [Table charge 300 yen] "Edamame, Moroko candied, Beltfish Nanban-zuke" ① Edamame: It seems like they boiled it just before serving. Very meticulous. ② Moroko candied: It's rare to wrap moroko in kombu. The sesame seeds are fragrant. ③ Beltfish Nanban-zuke: Beltfish Nanban-zuke is rare. Hmm, delicious! The seasoning is great... [Fried dish] "Fried tigerfish, butterbur scape" Fried tigerfish is luxurious. It's crispy and fragrant. I'm happy because I don't usually eat tigerfish. The butterbur scape has a nice aroma. [Sashimi] "Sea bream, sweet shrimp, mackerel, tuna" The sashimi here is of high quality. The tuna is sweet and fatty. The sweet shrimp squeezed with sudachi is sticky. The mackerel has a good fatty texture. The sea bream, marinated in kombu, is irresistible when eaten with sudachi. [Appetizer] "Cod milt butter-grilled" Oh, this is irresistible! Grilling cod milt with butter is a cheat move. The butter-grilled cod milt is fragrant, rich in butter flavor, and melts in your mouth. Delicious. [Simmered dish] "Simmered silver cod and vegetables" As expected, the simmered dish here is delicious! The cooking is exquisite, and it's cooked well and tender. The accompanying vegetables are also good. It's perfect for sake. ■ Drinks ⚫ Kirin Lager Beer (medium bottle) 800 yen Starting with a beer ⚫ Nabeshima Junmai Ginjo Hidden Sake (Saga) 1100 yen Wow, it's fruity. It has a nice aroma, and women would like it. ◼ Service The head chef's smile is lovely. Despite being an experienced craftsman, he is humble and warm. ◼ Price Two drinks, a full meal, and the total for one person is 8474 yen. If you're going to a mediocre Japanese restaurant, I recommend this place. As expected, I like this restaurant and the head chef (///∇///) If you visit during this season, ordering the "simmered dish" and "cod milt butter-grilled" is a must! It's incredibly delicious. I recommend making a reservation in advance. A satisfying dinner, thank you for the meal m(_ _)m □ Rating As of February 2021, the Tabelog rating is 3.37 with 11 reviews.

A wonderful restaurant in Kagurazaka. Upon entering the shop, you will find a calm atmosphere with a main focus on the counter and private rooms. The cozy space is well-maintained with attentive service and hospitality. The space exudes a comfortable tension, making it ideal for quiet conversations. The customer service is excellent, with the owner being friendly and attentive. The food, from appetizers to main dishes, is all excellently prepared and delicious. The eel dish was particularly delicious. The owner has a long history in Japanese cuisine, having worked at prestigious establishments such as Ginza's "Hamasaku" and serving as the head chef of the Japanese cuisine department at Aoyama Diamond Hall and Ebisu's Q.E.D. CLUB. We were able to enjoy delicious food in a refined and tranquil space.

This is a genre of restaurant that I don't usually visit, but I happened to find it through a net search and decided to visit! The friendly owner and staff made me feel at ease (*^^*) The dishes, including the pike conger eel, were carefully made with a seasonal touch, and each one was a special treat! Even the soba noodles at the end were simply delicious, making me genuinely want to come back to this restaurant (*^^*)♪ Thank you for the wonderful meal m(._.)m♪

The reviews from other people on Tabelog were all positive, and the restaurant lived up to the hype. I made a reservation for just a la carte dishes because my companion drinks a lot but doesn't eat much. The owner, Mr. Sasaki, called me in the morning of the reservation day to kindly inform me that if we ordered a la carte, it might take longer due to other reservations at the same time. I mentioned that we don't eat much, so we agreed on an "omakase" set of 3 dishes only. The cost was surprisingly only 3500 yen for the quality of food we received. The dishes included edamame, roasted duck, sesame tofu, fried mehikari, and anago sushi. The first dish was fried blowfish, the second was sashimi, and the third was grilled amadai. We were so impressed by the taste and value that we ended up ordering additional dishes: grilled wagyu beef, turtle soup, and clam soup. We enjoyed a variety of drinks from beer to our favorite Japanese sake brands. Both the food and drinks were truly delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The entrance was a bit hard to find so I always passed by, but I finally visited out of curiosity. The owner was kind, and that kindness showed in the delicious Japanese cuisine. The prices were also reasonable. I definitely want to come back again. It was a great restaurant.

Located in Kagurazaka, where long-established and famous restaurants are scattered, "Kisoan Sasaki" is highly praised for offering authentic Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price. I recently wrapped up several projects that were concentrated at the end of the fiscal year, so last night I decided to hold a staff appreciation dinner here. The cheerful owner, Yasutomo Sasaki, trained at the renowned Kansai-style restaurant in Ginza, "Hamasaku," and later served as the head chef of the Japanese cuisine department at "Aoyama Diamond Hall" and "Q.E.D. CLUB" in Ebisu. By the way, the Japanese restaurant "Kagurazaka Sasaki," which recently relocated to Shin-Ogawamachi, is run by his son. Some people may feel that Japanese cuisine and traditional dining are intimidating, but at "Kisoan Sasaki," you can enjoy a set of four dishes including appetizers, sashimi, fried dishes, and simmered or grilled fish for 5,000 yen. With private rooms available, it is suitable for entertaining clients or celebrating special occasions, and you can relax and enjoy delicious food in a sophisticated and quiet atmosphere. Last night, we opted for the course menu, and each dish, from the diverse appetizers to the seasonal simmered dishes, was meticulously prepared by the chef and incredibly delicious. They also offer a wide selection of sake, and we had a great time enjoying recommended brands. I would love to visit again when I have important guests in Kagurazaka.

Visited for a private room reservation. Just as the reviews say! The course menu for 7,000 yen, including drinks, came out to around 9,000-10,000 yen, but for the quality of this place with private rooms and the very friendly master and hostess, it's well worth it. Starting from the appetizers, the taste makes you want to drink sake...! The shrimp in the soup was so fresh and my companion was impressed! The sashimi included some fish I wasn't familiar with (maybe trying it for the first time?) The mackerel for the closing dish was perfectly seasoned and delicious... (savoring the flavors). The pufferfish tempura was a bit challenging to eat with the bones, but being able to eat it with your hands in such a lovely restaurant is another great aspect of this place. The taste was juicy and very satisfying! I forgot to take a picture, but it also came with a dessert! They also offer a la carte options at the counter, so I would love to come back again sometime!

You can enjoy reasonably priced kaiseki cuisine at this restaurant. The owner's son has opened a restaurant called Sasagi near Edogawabashi.

This is a restaurant recommended by a reviewer on a popular food review site, who said, "It was cheap and very delicious." With only 4 reviews so far, it seems that the restaurant has not been fully evaluated, as I experienced during my visit. I made a reservation for 18:30 on a weekday, but due to a small subway mishap, I arrived slightly late. When I entered and apologized for being late, the owner and staff warmly welcomed me with smiles, and I was immediately impressed. Their gentle smiles drew me in. This time, I tried the recommended "Chef's Choice Four Course Menu for 5,000 yen." The dishes were indeed satisfying and surprisingly affordable! [Hassun] - Boiled edamame: Warm and delicious! - Boiled conger eel: A subtly sweet conger eel dish with a hint of fragrant sansho pepper, delicious and tender. - Kelp-wrapped sea bass: The kelp-infused sea bass had a mellow texture and a comforting taste. - Kelp with roe: Fragrant with yuzu. [Yakimono] Grilled red snapper with sake salt: The grilled red snapper was flavorful and beautifully cooked, with a hint of sake salt enhancing its taste. [Sashimi] - Spiny lobster: A delicious piece of spiny lobster. - Alfonsino: A delightful high-quality fish. - Medium fatty tuna: A standard dish. - Marinated sea bream: A rich and tender sea bream dish. [Tempura] All tempura dishes were seasoned with salt. I chose between prawn and blowfish, and opted for prawn. - Natural prawn: A generous piece of natural prawn, perfectly fried with a great texture and flavor. During the meal, the owner noticed a small imperfection in the prawn tempura and immediately apologized, re-frying a fresh piece for my companion. He emphasized the importance of humility and honesty, sharing his experiences and teachings from his mentors. The prawn tempura was delicious, with a large and satisfying portion.

In August 2018, I visited the traditional Japanese cuisine restaurant "Kisouan Sasaki." The owner, Yasutomo Sasaki, has been devoted to Japanese cuisine since the age of 15, starting his career as a chef at the pioneering Ginza restaurant "Hamasaku." The restaurant, located a 6-minute walk from Iidabashi Station in Tokyo, has a lovely traditional Japanese exterior and a clean, calming interior. I enjoyed a four-course chef's selection menu for 5000 yen, which included a variety of delicious dishes such as edamame, grilled conger eel, and flounder roll. The appetizer of sea urchin and eggplant was a unique and delightful combination, while the sashimi course featured fresh squid, lobster, and tuna. The fried dish of shrimp and vegetables was crispy and flavorful, and the simmered dish of pufferfish was tender and rich in flavor. I also opted for an additional dish of turtle soup for an extra 1000 yen, which was a satisfying end to the meal. The hospitality of the head chef was warm and welcoming, and the overall cost for one person, including drinks, was very reasonable at 8435 yen. Despite being a hidden gem with few customers, the skilled craftsmanship and simple yet exquisite Japanese cuisine at Kisouan Sasaki left me thoroughly satisfied. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an authentic and affordable dining experience.

I made a reservation for 7 o'clock. I arrived about 20 minutes early, but they welcomed me with a smile and showed me to my seat. Each dish was incredibly delicious, with flavors that really highlighted the ingredients themselves. The only downside was that we were in a private room with sliding doors, so the staff couldn't see us unless we opened the doors. This meant they would check on our progress by opening the doors multiple times during the meal, which could be a bit distracting for those who prefer to eat slowly.

Private room was used for the reception. Ordered a 10,000 yen course. The restaurant is relatively new and has a bright atmosphere, not giving off a high-end impression. The dishes, while being kaiseki cuisine, were subtly elegant and all delicious, with a satisfying amount of food overall. Some kaiseki courses leave you feeling unsatisfied, but not here. The sake selection ranges from traditional brands to popular ones like Dassai 23 and Masumi no Shichi Go, catering to various preferences. Personally, I thought it might be nice to add 1-2 more brands to the lineup, including shochu. The staff were friendly, making me want to visit again for both personal and business occasions.

On the first day of the consecutive holidays, a public holiday. In the Kagurazaka area, many shops are closed on holidays, and as I was walking around unable to decide on dinner, I noticed the curtain of "Kisoan Sasaki" looked nice. Come to think of it, there was a similar named restaurant nearby, so we decided to go in. Perhaps because it was a holiday, there was only one other customer. The two of us were shown to a private room. The menu offered three courses: 7000 yen, 10000 yen, and 15000 yen. For drinks, they had Ebisu beer, sake, and shochu. There were about 8 famous brands of sake and shochu lined up. This time we chose the 10000 yen course. It included 7 dishes, including pressed sushi as a meal replacement, and a water dessert. Everything was carefully prepared and delicious. The two dishes with seasonal matsutake mushrooms (fried and chawanmushi with matsutake sauce) were particularly outstanding, with a slight twist enhancing the aroma of the matsutake. We were able to open the sliding doors of the private room, and the service was impeccable and pleasant. It may have been because it was not crowded at all, but the atmosphere was very calm, and we were able to enjoy our meal freely. When I checked later, I found out that "Kagurazaka Sasaki" is a sister store, and the head chef is actually the father. Kagurazaka Sasaki is more of a place where you can enjoy what you like at your own pace at the counter, but here you can savor the chef's dishes carefully. Our family seems to prefer the food and atmosphere here. In this area where there are extreme cases of becoming too famous and difficult to reserve, being too expensive, or being too cheap chain stores, there was a quietly existing restaurant that I would be happy to have, that's the feeling I got. When the seasons change, I would like to pass through the curtain again.
