Yakiniku Daigo @ Umejima - If you want to enjoy Japanese beef at a reasonable price, we, Tokyo Hormones, a group of food enthusiasts, have been thinking about Yakiniku Daigo @ Umejima for a long time. After watching a Doraemon movie at Arione, we had yakiniku for dinner. I had been wanting to visit Daigo @ Umejima for a while, as I have met the president at Stamina En several times. The selection of dishes was impressive, and I was surprised by the quality. The tongue was especially delicious, and it's rare to find such high-quality tongue in Adachi-ku. The quality of the tongue can determine the skill of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, and the greenery was beautiful. The children's kalbi was also tasty. The menu was extensive, but if you can't decide, I recommend the Gokumori Assorted Platter. The regular meat was also delicious. I had some issues with Twitter, so I changed my account. I just visited this yakiniku restaurant and already I feel like going back again soon. The meat here is delicious and the cost performance is excellent. Especially after the self-restraint period, the quality of the meat is really good. The highball drink selection is great, and I always order a large size with extra lemon. By the time I leave, I am usually quite drunk from enjoying the yakiniku with lots of cabbage salad and highballs. One of my favorite things to do is to ask for a bowl of rice, dip it in a raw egg from Tanaka Farm, and savor the yakiniku. The beef tendon for 380 yen is a must-try dish, with its high-quality meat flavor and sweetness in a lightly seasoned dish. I always order it with extra beef tendon to take home. The kindness and attentiveness of the staff is the biggest charm of this restaurant. I can't cheat on this place with other restaurants.

I was brought here by an acquaintance for my first visit. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was! It was the 29th of the month, so they had a special menu item - seared misuji. It was incredibly delicious, just melts in your mouth! The thick-cut tongue with salt was also amazing! It was thick, but had a crispy texture that was so enjoyable! We had high-quality meat for two people, along with drinks, and it came to around 9,000 yen. It wasn't much different from a regular drinking party course, but this was definitely better! The satisfaction of eating good meat left me feeling full and satisfied. I felt like I had indulged in something very luxurious. Oh, by the way, I heard that the name of the restaurant has changed to Daigo!

I had only been visiting the Yanaka branch recently, so it had been a year since I last visited here. Just like last time, it was bustling with local customers and very lively.

I didn't write a review because I hated crowds, but since I moved, I will review without reservations. This is the best yakiniku restaurant I have ever been to, and I go there at least once a month. I became a Gold member and they even offer me off-menu items. I don't know any other place that can offer such delicious A5-ranked meat at such a reasonable price. The simmered motsu (offal) side dish is unbelievably delicious, unlike anything I've ever had before. The kalbi kukpa made with generous amounts of A5-ranked meat is also outstanding. The service is very friendly and I can't understand why this place isn't rated higher. It's the best restaurant.

Despite the price increase, the food is decently delicious so I always come here, but there is a female staff member who repeatedly ignores my questions and only answers male customers. It's frustrating. It was supposed to be a nice dinner, but it's a shame. I probably won't come back again.

All the meat is aged, so it's all tender! There are rare cuts like zabuton and tomahawk, but even regular kalbi and harami are delicious enough (recommend with lots of green onions or garlic)! I recommend becoming a member!

Super Aged Yakiniku Karubiya Can Umejima Store Visited with family on a day off. Located right in front of Umejima Station, this is one of the brands operated by Daigo. On this day, they were serving black wagyu beef from Mie Prefecture, so we carefully selected our dishes from the menu. We also enjoyed a discount using a coupon from Tabelog (free drinks for the number of people under ¥380). Cheers! We ordered: - Kimchi Assortment ¥680: A classic assortment of 3 types of kimchi, perfect as a side dish. - Bean Sprout Namul ¥380: Slightly spicy with a crunchy texture, great for snacking. - Premium Liver Yakiniku ¥980: A rare item available only on weekends. When lightly seared and eaten with sesame oil salt, garlic soy sauce, and condiments, it was rich and delicious without any unpleasant smell. - Heart Sashimi ¥880: Slightly searing it enhances the umami, and the fresh heart was enjoyed with sesame oil salt and ginger soy sauce. - Upper Tongue Salt ¥1180: Not very thick, but the fat and meat quality were good. Personally, I prefer to eat it simply with lemon, but the sauce had a tangy flavor. - Big Rib Loin ¥1780: A special menu only available at the Umejima store. The large piece allows you to taste rib loin, marbled, capri, and geta, and it was a great deal. The marbled and capri were especially delicious. - Ultimate 5-piece Assortment ¥3280: Recommended for first-timers, this luxurious assortment included Ichibo, shoulder triangle, sirloin, chili pepper, and thick-cut inside round. Probably aged for 30 days through wet aging, the meat was concentrated and of high quality. The Ichibo and shoulder triangle eaten with soy sauce and wasabi were exceptional. - Yukkejang Noodles ¥880: The noodles were made with flat wavy noodles from Asakusa Kaikaro, possibly due to the advantage of having a sister store in Gotanno. The rich soup was not too spicy and was enjoyed with half-cooked egg, ingredients, and chewy noodles. - Egg Soup ¥480 + Kuppa ¥100: The children chose the non-spicy Kuppa for the finishing touch. The white soup was also very flavorful and stable. (Drinks) - Premium Malt's Glass (Free benefit, normally ¥380) x2 - Ultimate Fresh Lemon Sour ¥580 - Ultimate Fresh Lemon Salty Sour ¥580 - Black Oolong Tea (Free benefit, normally ¥300) - Ginger Ale ¥180 The restaurant's interior information indicates dry aging, but based on the website, it seems to be wet aging now. Nevertheless, it is a precious yakiniku restaurant where you can enjoy aged meat at a reasonable price along the train line. My family also liked it, so we look forward to trying various cuts in the future. Thank you for the meal.

Tsura Minnegi Ponzu (beef tongue with green onion and ponzu sauce) for 680 yen, Big Surprise Rib Roast for 1580 yen, Premium Thick Cut Tongue with salt for 1780 yen, Kame no Kō (turtle shell) for 880 yen, Aged Shoulder Tri-Tip for 880 yen. The portions are generous overall. They specialize in aging beef, so you can enjoy a variety of cuts. The Tsura Minnegi Ponzu comes out quickly and has a good portion size. It is delicious. The meat is thick and tender, you can easily tear it apart with its weight. Highly recommended. The Thick Cut Tongue with salt is limited in quantity but delicious. It offers great quality and portion size for its price range. Also recommended. The Big Surprise Rib Roast has good cost performance. It may resemble a famous chain's dish, but the meat is tastier here and the portion size is bigger. The sauce may be better at the other place though. If you prefer a lot of fat and value portion size, this is a good choice. The Kame no Kō and Shoulder Tri-Tip have tasty lean meat but can feel a bit dry. They are decent for their price. Overall, it's enjoyable for the price, but it would be nice to have a little more creativity in the sauce. I usually eat it as is or with wasabi. Becoming a member gives you a drink service, and the cost performance is good, so I keep coming back.

They specialize in aged meat, which is indeed flavorful and tender. The prices for yakiniku range from 380 yen to over 1,000 yen per serving. The beloved moyashi (bean sprouts) costs 380 yen, which seems expensive compared to the 100 yen price in Kameido. The meat menu offers good value for the price. Drinks are also reasonably priced at 300 yen for members. I noticed the name of Kaika-rou in the noodle menu, so I had to try it. It was slightly overcooked but had that unique texture. There was a business card for Karatsukegure at the front of the store, indicating it is affiliated with that shop. It seems to be part of the same chain from Kagurazaka. With no need to wait in line and such good value, I will definitely be coming back.

I wanted to eat dry-aged meat, so I visited a yakiniku restaurant called Karubiya Umejima. The restaurant's specialty is that they buy a whole black wagyu cow and age it using dry-aging techniques. The restaurant has around 30 seats and uses charcoal grills. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and cozy. The impression of this restaurant is that the lean meat is delicious and reasonably priced! For example, the regular karubi was 380 yen. It may not look very appetizing due to the aging process, but the meat was very tender and tasty with just the right amount of fat. However, if you don't like fatty meat, it might be a bit too rich for you. The menu was quite extensive, thanks to buying the whole cow, and one of their recommended items is the Special 5 Variety Assortment for 2980 yen. Overall, I was satisfied beyond the price and I definitely want to go back soon.
