An uncommonly large restaurant in Shibuya called An Guri5566 on Dogenzaka. Here you can enjoy fresh sashimi and Japanese sake. Even though it's a weekday, the restaurant was packed with customers today. The menu keeps expanding with each visit, making it hard to choose what to eat. The dish that looked like persimmon with cream cheese turned out to be buttercream. It starts off firm when served cold, but softens and changes in flavor as it reaches room temperature. Delicious. The liver paste comes with crispy senbei, tempting you to take a big bite, but savoring it slowly is a better option. It pairs well with sake and is not too strong in flavor. Definitely try the sashimi here, it's thickly cut and incredibly fresh. The fatty pieces are absolutely delicious. The sesame tofu has a clean and delightful taste, and the homemade sake lees ice cream for dessert is a must-try. It's a perfect way to end the meal with sake. Another delicious experience today!

The staff at the restaurant were very efficient, and it was a great place. The food and drinks were delicious. The sashimi was thick and very tasty! It had been a while since I went out drinking in Shibuya, but I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal!

The night before my daughter's wedding, we had dinner with relatives. My daughter chose the restaurant, and we sat around a large table in a sunken kotatsu style, which was comfortable. We ordered randomly, starting with a sashimi platter for everyone. Surprisingly, we were served a yellowtail sushi immediately as an appetizer (1 piece per person). The potato salad had smoked herring in it? The negitoro avocado tartare was delicious! I forgot to take pictures around this time (^-^; The sashimi platter was delicious! Soft-boiled abalone, octopus, and scallops were all good (*^^*) The thick tofu with mentaiko and cheese on top was also interesting. The portion size for each dish was a bit small. It was an early dinner at 5 o'clock, so we weren't very hungry, which is probably why this amount of food was enough. We didn't order a lot of alcohol either, so the total bill for 8 people was a little over 43,000 yen. The atmosphere was nice. Thank you for the meal.

I was unsure of where to go in Shibuya after a long time, but I decided to make a reservation and visit the same restaurant I had been to before! The sashimi was delicious, and the classic dishes like potato salad were also very tasty! It wasn't too crowded on a weekday, so my friend and I were able to stay for a long time. I will definitely visit again!

I made a last-minute reservation the day before and found the entrance to the restaurant a bit hard to locate. It was quite busy on a Saturday night, with the next customers waiting as soon as a table opened up. The restaurant allows smoking, so the smell may be strong. If you don't smoke, you may want to avoid this place. The food was average, similar to a typical izakaya. However, the service was quick, making it a good choice for a drinking party.

On Saturday around 9 pm, we visited without a reservation, a group of 4 people. The complimentary appetizer was delightful! We enjoyed dishes such as crispy chicken thigh, zucchini in miso paste, and bamboo shoot stew. In a time when many restaurants are shortening their hours, knowing a place that stays open late can make you look cool. Who are these people who come to hit on others without knowing any open restaurants? The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and a good variety of menu options. The restaurant has a rating of 3.36 on Tabelog as of April 2021.

Hidden in the quiet backstreets of Dogenzaka, this restaurant feels like a secret hideaway. Despite being just a short walk from the bustling Ikejiri Ohashi station, the atmosphere here is calm and peaceful. Even on a rainy day, the place is lively with plenty of customers. We tried the following dishes: thick-cut beef tongue, avocado and shrimp salad, horse mackerel sashimi, smoked cheese, ikura rice, and grilled eel. The restaurant is known for its seafood dishes, and the quality of the rice is quite high across the board. Everything was delicious, although the ikura rice was a bit like something you'd find at a ramen shop. The selection of drinks, especially sake and shochu, is extensive with a long list of options. The ambiance is not exactly quiet, but it has a hidden gem feel and the interior is quite stylish, making it a great spot for a date or a group gathering.笑

We gathered here for a work dinner with colleagues! We were served sardine sushi as an appetizer, which really helped satisfy our hunger. The mackerel sashimi in the sashimi platter was incredibly delicious. The fried chicken was also excellent. The grilled beef tongue was average. The ikura rice bowl for the finale was double thumbs up! It was so delicious. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, so I would definitely like to use it again for work dinners. Cheers!

I made a reservation for 19:00 and when I arrived, a young foreign man greeted me. I was a bit nervous because I thought he might get mad if I got the drinks or food wrong, so I carefully pointed at the menu pictures and text to place my order. The restaurant was quite busy and it must be tough to work there. It takes a lot of courage to hire someone who only speaks a little Japanese. Hang in there, kind foreign young man! I was looking forward to the grilled eel liver and sweetfish tempura, but the salmon rice bowl was disappointing as the rice was too wet or too dry. The seat was right under the strong air conditioning, which made my eyes dry and my body cold. The couple next to me was being affectionate, which drained my energy, so I had to make a quick escape.

The second place I visited was An Guri, located a bit down the hill on Dogenzaka and tucked away in an alley. It seems to be part of a chain with several other branches, but this was my first time visiting. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice for couples or groups, with a counter where you can place your order. I ordered the Sazaku pork tonkatsu for 1,600 yen and Thai sushi. First, we were served appetizers followed by fresh and well-prepared sushi, starting our meal off on a good note. We enjoyed a Red Rabbit watered down drink as our accompaniment. The Thai sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious. Then, the main dish, the Sazaku pork tonkatsu, arrived. It was a huge portion with a crispy basil-flavored coating and juicy pork inside, providing a satisfying and flavorful meal. Although the focus is on seafood, the meat dishes should not be underestimated in this hidden gem of a restaurant.

It is a restaurant located in a difficult-to-find place across from the parking lot, past the smoke of yakitori from the station and around the corner of a ramen shop. Despite its unusual location, it was crowded on a Friday. It seemed to allow smoking. The menu was extensive, with a variety of sake options, including some famous ones. We ordered a few fish dishes, and the tuna was delicious that day. The white fish was average. Another highlight was the wagyu steak, which paired well with garlic chips and pink salt. Thank you for the meal! We will visit again!

This area has become a redevelopment zone, causing many old-fashioned restaurants to close down. It's sad for those opposed to redevelopment, but this restaurant seems to be just outside the redevelopment zone and is still operating. It's quite spacious and can accommodate large groups, which is great, but the downside is that smoking is allowed. The food is not bad.

I went to an izakaya near Shibuya Station on the Inokashira Line. The assorted sashimi was fresh and delicious. The fried tofu with dashi was also tasty. The only disappointment was the tamagoyaki, which was cold instead of hot as I had hoped. Overall, the staff at the restaurant were friendly, and I would like to visit again.

A calm izakaya located a little ways into Shibuya. The interior is quite spacious with counter seats and tatami rooms in the back. We visited with a group of 10 people and the large seating area was very accommodating. The restaurant is well-organized and very user-friendly. The food is also delicious!

This is my third visit to this restaurant and I love the atmosphere. Every time, the drinks and dishes (especially sashimi) are delicious, and I always leave satisfied. I think it's a hidden gem, but it's always bustling whenever I come!

The restaurant near Shibuya Station has a quiet and calm atmosphere, with a skip floor design that separates different zones. It would be a good place for a casual group date. The onigiri is shiny and delicious, wrapped in seaweed.

The sashimi was incredibly fresh and impressive. It was one of the best izakayas I've been to in terms of taste. The price for this quality of food is surprisingly low. I also noticed that they pay attention to the water they serve with the alcohol. The rice was sweet and delicious. I was a bit worried about the quality of the blackthroat seaperch for only 500 yen, but it was delicious. Personally, I found the miso soup with ginger flavor a bit too strong, but everything else was delicious. The horse sashimi would have been even better if it had been thawed a little more. I will definitely go back.

If you're ever in trouble in Shibuya, this is the place to go. It's located in a small alley on the way up Dogenzaka. The meat and fish here are consistently delicious. The appetizer here is a piece of nigiri sushi. The famous yellowtail with daikon radish dish is often sold out, but I was able to get it this time. The broth is delicious. Whenever I come here, I always end up ordering sake too, haha.
