I stayed at APA Hotel Shintomicho Station for two nights during my personal food tour in Tokyo. For the second morning, I had a stylish Italian breakfast for 1200 yen at the hotel's restaurant. The main dish was a chicken stew soup with chunks of chicken, served with freshly baked hot baguette, fruit yogurt, and iced coffee. The chicken stew soup had a mild flavor with chunks of chicken, tomato acidity, cheese, and a soft-boiled egg. It tasted even better when eaten with the hot baguette. The fruit yogurt was refreshing and delicious for breakfast. The iced coffee had a nice bitterness to it, making it enjoyable after the meal.

Every time I hold a Tokyo food tour, I stay at APA Hotel Shintomicho Station. The single non-smoking room without meals costs 4,000 yen, which is excellent value for the Ginza area. A special feature of APA Hotel is that if you write a review, you will receive a complimentary APA President Curry (spicy). It costs 390 yen if you buy it, which is a bit high for retort curry, but you can get it for free by writing a review. Pour the warm APA President Curry (spicy) sauce over warm rice. It is packed with beef and various spices, giving it a spicy kick that is slightly sweet and spicy, but the spiciness comes later. If I hold a Tokyo food tour again, I would definitely want to stay at APA Hotel Shintomicho Station. The staff's customer service is excellent. It is also conveniently located, a 7-minute walk to Tsukiji Market, 2 subway stops to JR Yurakucho Station, and one subway stop to Tsukishima Station for a transfer to Asakusa.
