A renowned old yakiniku restaurant in Toyama, selected as one of the top 100 hamburger shops, has opened a new branch called "Shogun Burger" in Shibuya. The Shibuya branch, which opened on October 23rd, is located near Spain-zaka in Shibuya, on Udagawa Street close to Shibuya Parco. I visited the restaurant around 6:30 pm alone. The entrance was adorned with many flowers. There is a ticket machine at the entrance where you can only make cashless payments using Suica. During the opening days of October 23rd, 24th, and 25th, they were offering free drinks and potatoes. Lucky me! I ordered the recommended Shibuya-exclusive mushroom burger (1,800 yen). It was a bit pricey without the drink and potatoes, but I was excited to try it. The seating consisted of a counter with 3 seats and around 10 table seats near the entrance. I was seated at the counter as it was almost full. With about 6 staff members working due to the recent opening, I ordered a melon soda from the drink bar. After a 13-minute wait, the mushroom burger arrived. The presentation was impressive with a white cream-like substance on the patty, topped with plenty of mushrooms and sauce. The taste was delicious, as expected from Shogun Burger. The white substance was like mashed potatoes and slightly cold. The patty, mushrooms, cheese, and sauce all complemented each other well, and the 100% wheat buns and ultra-coarse ground beef patty made from 100% Japanese beef were aromatic and tasty. The French fries were crispy, thin, salty, and paired well with the soda. I also received a voucher for half-priced hamburgers or cheeseburgers with an expiration date of November 30th, so I left satisfied and looking forward to my next visit. Thank you for the meal.

The Silver Moon Burger Set (Teriyaki Burger + Fried Egg, Drink & Fries) and the hamburger were both very delicious! I love the coarse ground patty! I arrived 5 minutes before the opening on the weekend and was the second group in line. By opening time, there were 8 groups of customers waiting. It's a popular place!

Double Cheeseburger 2380 yen Potato Drink Bar Set 480 yen A burger with a substantial amount. The sauce and cheese blend together, not overpowering. The patty is coarsely ground, meaty, and very delicious. I think it's a well-made burger. The fries are long, crispy on the outside and soft inside, very tasty. It may be expensive, but I think it's worth trying at least once.

The Potato is high in calories, but I had to get it for the drink bar. The restaurant is small, with a narrow restroom and sink area. The staff brought the set to me in about 4 minutes. The Potato fries were crispy and thin, and the hamburger was wrapped in a paper bag. The meat was juicy and flavorful, but some reviews mentioned that the toughness of the meat was a point of contention. Personally, I found it satisfying, but the texture might not be suitable for everyone. The meat had a rich flavor, but the seasoning was minimal. This is my first visit to Shibuya. It seems like this chain has a lot of foreign customers, about 90% of them are from overseas. Compared to the Shinjuku branch, I felt that the excitement when eating was not as strong. It's a bit inconvenient to eat the hamburger without ketchup on the table to dip it in. I saw this place on TV and decided to check it out, but I didn't expect it to be right in the heart of Shibuya! I went on a Friday around 7:30 PM and only had to wait about 15 minutes to get in. You can enjoy some slightly upscale burgers here. The all-you-can-drink soft drinks were a nice touch! The staff were friendly and cheerful, and the atmosphere inside was comfortable. I definitely want to go back again.
