Visited with two colleagues for dinner. Delicious! The sashimi platter had 7 types with 3 pieces each for just a little over 2,000 yen. The simmered whelk had large pieces. The egg omelette was slightly sweet. We also ordered a tempura assortment and enjoyed it with sweet potato shochu. Everything was well-prepared and satisfying. Thank you for the meal. We will visit again.

The dinner started at 6:30 pm with like-minded friends at a friend's favorite restaurant where there were no other customers. The staff was worried that no customers would come due to the WBC first game. Although no customers came until around 8 pm, we were engrossed in conversation. When we finally ordered beer, it took a while to arrive even after reminding the staff. I even jokingly suggested leaving to watch the WBC. The sliced horse mackerel and mackerel sashimi with ginger soy sauce were delicious. The cabbage salad was refreshing and tasty. The clam steamed in a pot was a perfect finish after drinking a lot of sake. The only disappointment was when I asked if there was mountain vegetable salad and was served spinach salad instead, which was confirmed to be the mountain vegetable salad. I quietly accepted it.

I've been going to Gotanda Sakataya every week recently, and it's still delicious! Today it was really crowded and the old man seemed to be struggling, but the cost performance was great and the food was delicious! It's hard to find a place where you can eat raw sardines, so this restaurant is truly precious. I hope it continues for a long time.

I visited an izakaya in Gotanda. I went on a weekday night without a reservation, but managed to get a table around 6:30 pm. The place quickly filled up with other customers after that. I asked the landlady for recommendations and ordered a sashimi platter, shirako ponzu, shirako tempura, oyster fry, jyako salad, and atsuage. The sashimi platter was generous and they added iwashi upon my request. The shirako was creamy and delicious. The tempura was a bit soggy, but still satisfying. The jyako salad had a simple but tasty dressing. Overall, the seafood dishes were impressive and tasty.

This is always a delicious fish-focused restaurant. Today, I wanted to eat rock oysters, so I chose this place. It's a reliable restaurant. Everything is reasonably priced, but it's not cheap quality. Also, the interaction between the father and mother is funny. I'm thinking of coming here every other week next year.

"Shakaden" stands in a corner of a dining district about a 2-minute walk from Gotanda Station West Exit. First, the exterior. With a green curtain and a bold red sign saying "Shakaden," it exudes an unmistakable aura of a top-notch restaurant. Inside, the ambiance is even more sophisticated, with an L-shaped counter and tables of various sizes for different purposes. We had made a reservation, so we sat at a medium-sized table and ordered a "draft beer" to start. The menu, written on unique paper, mainly features seafood and sashimi, along with a variety of appetizers that all look delicious. We started with a toast and ordered the must-have "Sashimi Platter (for 2)" and the seasonal favorite "Shirako Ponzu." After some lively conversation, the sashimi platter and Shirako Ponzu arrived in about 15 minutes. The platter included 7 types of fish, all fresh and delicious in their own right. This definitely calls for sake! So, we unanimously switched to sake. The sake arrived promptly, and the kue (snake mackerel) was particularly outstanding with its incredible texture and sweetness. The Shirako Ponzu melted in the mouth instantly and was superb! As we discussed what to order next, a neighboring table received an amazing-looking plate of meat, which caught our attention. We couldn't help but ask what it was, and it turned out to be the house specialty yakitori! We were all amazed and intrigued. So, following the recommendation of a regular customer, we ordered the "Yakitori," "Oyster Fry," and "Gindara Saikyo Yaki." First up was the yakitori, which was generously coated in sauce, perfectly grilled, juicy, and incredibly delicious. The Oyster Fry was crispy on the outside, bursting with the oyster's umami flavor. Lastly, the Gindara Saikyo Yaki was unsurprisingly delicious, a perfect match for sake. With a relaxed atmosphere and all the dishes being incredibly tasty, it was a great experience. If you're curious, be sure to check it out! - Menu: - Sashimi Platter (for 2): Price unknown - Shirako Ponzu: 700 yen - Yakitori: 600 yen - Oyster Fry: 650 yen - Gindara Saikyo Yaki: 750 yen

I'm glad I was able to discover a rare shop in Gotanda where my friend usually goes to drink. The shop looks very old, and the staff seem very experienced. There were various dishes lined up on the counter, all looking delicious. Among them, the Nara pickled cheese was particularly good. It had a firm and sticky texture like stinky tofu, with a rich cheese flavor that spread in my mouth. It was my first time trying it, and it was delicious. It went perfectly with straight shochu, sipping it slowly. The conversation with my like-minded friend was lively, and we had a wonderful time together.

Blog "Tokyu Line, Food Walking" https://asante.blog/ - - - Has the corona ended, or have I just been getting more invitations to drinking parties? As a lover of alcohol, I couldn't be happier. On the other hand, it seems like I may have forgotten how to drink, as my rate of hangovers has been increasing. About ten years ago, I visited this place and while the food was delicious, I didn't give it a high rating because it took a long time to come out. Visiting again, the food is still delicious. In fact, it's very delicious. After eating at 3000 restaurants, maybe I can now see the true skill of this place. The sashimi and other dishes were all of a high standard. This time, the food didn't come out as slowly as before, but there were many instances where what we ordered didn't arrive. We had to remind them twice before it finally came out. Sometimes, dishes we didn't even order were brought to our table. However, the delicious food made me overlook these small issues. The various dishes that paired well with Japanese sake left me with a hangover the next day. Thank you for the feast.

An izakaya near Gotanda Station. Just as I imagined, it's a traditional izakaya serving a perfect selection of dishes. The sashimi platter, potato salad, fried chicken with daikon radish, grilled conger eel, and raw fish are all delicious. I love it.

Located about a 3-minute walk from Gotanda Station, this seafood izakaya offers a variety of dishes such as sashimi, tempura, fried food, and grilled dishes. The menu is hand-written on wooden boards, giving it a nice touch. The ikura donburi was surprisingly only ¥800 and was very satisfying in both taste and cost performance!

It was the beginning of the fourth quarter in Gotanda, and my wife had to work overtime, so I decided to have a drink with my son who is now old enough to drink. We went to a sake restaurant in Gotanda to wait for my wife. When we entered, there were a few empty seats at the counter, so we sat down. The two skilled chefs were busy cooking in the middle of the counter, with a young tall woman in front and another young woman at the back. The landlady (presumably) was also there. No one noticed us at first, but eventually, the woman at the back did. However, she didn't react. After a while, I asked where we should sit, and she pointed to the counter with a stern look. Despite feeling a bit uncomfortable, I decided to stay as it was the best place to wait for my tired wife. We enjoyed some sake and dishes recommended by the landlady. When my wife finished her overtime and came to join us, the seats were all taken, so we decided to leave. The bill was surprisingly exactly 10,000 yen, and they only accepted cash or PayPay. We paid with PayPay and left. Overall, the experience was not very pleasant, and it seemed like they didn't want certain customers there.

I had always wanted to visit this restaurant, but unfortunately it was closed the last time I tried. Today was my first visit! I tried the boiled tsubugai (whelk), hokkigai (surf clam) sashimi, katsuo (bonito) sashimi, and vegetable tempura. I love hokkigai, and the one here was one of the most delicious I've had in Tokyo! The other dishes were also tasty and went well with alcohol. I ended up getting a bit more intoxicated than I expected, haha.

It's been a while since I had a drinking party with my work colleagues, and as expected, an izakaya is the best place to have a good conversation. It was my first visit to this place, and I could feel the nice atmosphere from the appearance of the restaurant. Today, there were only two of us, so we were seated at the counter. The space between seats was a bit narrow, but it didn't bother us. We started with a refreshing draft beer, which was delicious. The appetizer was simmered clams, which were really tasty. The first thing you eat is important, and it goes well with beer. We ordered a sashimi platter for 1800 yen, which included 3 slices of 8 different types of fish - it was a great deal! The white fish was fresh and delicious. We also had tsukune katsu, which was a comforting dish, and grilled fish, which was recommended and tasty. The udo with miso was also good, as it's the season for it. The service was better than expected, with clear and prompt responses. If you want to eat seasonal dishes with high cost performance, this is the place. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I have used this restaurant a few times for work with clients. This is my first review. The seating is a bit cramped and you can hear conversations from the next table, but they have a wide variety of seafood dishes and alcohol options. It's a restaurant that is friendly for business meetings. I have been having work-related dinners here frequently. I am a bit shy about taking photos. The restaurant is located about 200 meters from Gotanda Station, along the road towards Meguro. It takes about 2-3 minutes to walk there. The restaurant has a counter with 6 seats and about 20 table seats. Today's order included a sashimi platter (mackerel, tuna, sea bream, mirugai, aoyagi, bonito), tsubugai, chicken karaage, and deep-fried tofu with miso. The deep-fried tofu was exceptionally delicious with a perfect amount of miso inside. The sashimi was not top-notch, but the shellfish was decent. They offer a variety of Japanese sake (ginjo, daiginjo, junmai, honjozo) with many brands like Shibata, Kuro Ryu, Kachikoma, Yauyama, Kubota, and others.

It's a typical izakaya with a traditional feel, but these kinds of places seem to be dwindling in number due to chain restaurants. I decided to stop by, thinking it was a one in four chance. It's always crowded, but luckily I was able to find a seat today. I ordered the assorted sashimi platter, which included flounder, halibut, sea bream, octopus, cured mackerel, tuna, and amberjack. It was all delicious. I also enjoyed some hot sake. They have a wide variety of menu items like tempura, grilled fish, and stir-fried dishes. I tried the smelt tempura and bitter melon stir-fry.

After finishing work in Gotanda, I was drawn to this place with a popular storefront... The place was packed with customers! I managed to squeeze into a seat close to others, and started drinking! I sipped on bottled beer while feeling confident, and decided to order the assorted sashimi which looked impressive on the menu. It was a hit! Not only was the freshness great, but the size and presentation were also impressive! I then switched to sake and added some more snacks, and ended up getting pretty drunk again today!

I hope that seafood izakaya with a Showa-era atmosphere like Sakataya continues to prosper. It's also great that it's close to the station!
