特盛ヒロシ
This time, I visited a popular yakiniku restaurant in Shinjuku Sanchome that offers private rooms and semi-private rooms, as well as comfortable table seating for entertaining. They serve the highest quality Japanese beef, including Kobe beef. The location is about a 2-minute walk from Shinjuku Sanchome Station on the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line, Fukutoshin Line, and Toei Shinjuku Line. They are open from Monday to Sunday, 17:00-23:00 (last order at 22:00), and they are closed on holidays.
I made a reservation by phone a week in advance after learning that I could enjoy Kobe beef in Shinjuku Sanchome. While they offer a la carte options, their courses are popular, with prices ranging from 6,500 yen to 11,000 yen including tax. They also have courses with all-you-can-drink options for 8,500 yen and 10,500 yen. The meat sushi is a favorite, and they offer a limited all-you-can-eat option for 3 groups per day, which tends to fill up quickly.
I ordered the Kobe beef special selection course for 11,000 yen including tax when making the reservation. I went with a friend who loves yakiniku, and we were guided to a spacious private room at the back since the seats were full that day. It was quite a luxurious private room. We opted for the all-you-can-drink menu, which includes a variety of cocktails for 2,000 yen. I enjoyed drinks like plum wine on the rocks, apricot wine on the rocks, cassis-based cocktails, Moscow Mule, and gin and tonic.
The course we had included various dishes like salad, white kimchi, namul assortment, grilled Wagyu beef Yukke-style, grilled meats (premium tongue, premium loin, premium harami), meat sushi, grilled meats (premium misuji, premium red pepper, premium shoulder triangle), cold noodles, and dessert (cacao chocolate or white peach sherbet). We also ordered additional items such as ultimate thick-cut raw tongue with salt (4,980 yen), pork kalbi (970 yen), striped pig (990 yen), and white kimchi (550 yen).
Overall, it was a cozy yakiniku restaurant with delicious food. The service was excellent, especially from the lovely young proprietress who took care of us throughout. The grilling was done perfectly, and the ultimate thick-cut raw tongue with salt was particularly outstanding. The rare cut Kobe beef shoulder triangle and sasami were also delicious. Personally, I enjoyed the Wagyu beef Yukke-style dish at the beginning of the course. The desserts, whether it was the rich cacao ice cream served in a real cacao pod or the whole peach sherbet, were both stylish and tasty. It was a generous portion as well. The service from the young proprietress and female staff was warm and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere at the yakiniku restaurant. I will definitely visit again.
