Yesterday, as usual, I was watching videos on YouTube when I came across a video of this restaurant's Shinbashi branch, which looked really delicious. So I searched for more details on Tabelog and found out that a new branch had opened in June this year, not far from my house. I decided to visit the restaurant today. Despite arriving well before lunchtime, the parking lot was almost full, and the inside of the restaurant seemed busy. I wrote my name on the waiting list and was soon greeted by a cheerful staff member who showed me to my table. Since it was my first time, I ordered their specialty dish, the Nikumeshi, which comes with daikon radish, thick fried tofu, and simmered egg, along with miso soup. The dish arrived in about 5 minutes. It was served on a small tray and looked just like the picture on the menu. I took a bite and the sweet sauce on the braised pork went well with the rice. It was delicious! There was a generous amount of braised pork, giving it a rich meaty flavor. Next, I tried the simmered daikon radish, which was well-seasoned and added a nice touch to the meal. The thick fried tofu was also flavorful and tasty. The simmered egg was a bit too firm for my liking, but I thought it would be better if it were softer. There were condiments like spicy miso and finely chopped onions that looked like pickled ginger, which added a different flavor when drizzled over the dish. The miso soup, made with daikon radish, green onions, and seaweed in a light broth, complemented the rich flavors of the Nikumeshi well. Overall, it was delicious. When I paid the bill, I also received free tickets for miso soup and raw eggs, which made me look forward to my next visit as I left the restaurant.
