On January 9, the first visit to the hospital since the New Year started. After the "Ozukai" gathering in that day, I wanted to indulge in drinking, drinking, and more drinking! All-you-can-drink! Enjoyed "painful sake" like "walko-tome" and "delicious bubbles" to the fullest. The finale was a luxurious feast of "New Year dishes" with "rolled omelette with dashi", "kazunoko", "mentaiko", "karasumi", "blowfish roe kasuzuke", and "fish roe". Arrived at the hospital!!! Visited various departments like "A department", "B department", "C department", etc... The smile of the last doctor was scary. "Your numbers are not good, behave yourself!" Got a bit of advice at the beginning of the year. Luckily, the number of medications did not increase. Got the prescribed medication from the hospital and headed to the first "art museum tour" of the year♪♪♪ When I arrived in Ueno, had lunch at "Tohyama"! I won't go to see the overpriced "Vermeer" paintings. Time-specific reservations and advance tickets are required for "Vermeer", won't go again. For me, it's all about "Rubens"♡ and "Munch" Wow! Enjoyed "Matsubayashi Zu Byobu" and "Inoshishi"♪♪♪ Free appreciation is what makes a museum a museum. "Ueno no Mori" is not really a museum! Pouting Pouting... When kicked out of the museum at 5:00, could have just gone back to Ikebukuro, but after watching "Inoshishi", felt like a "pig pig" oink oink. Can easily get into "Yamaya" now. But still not hungry. How about making a "tricolor sandwich" at "Izumi"♡ Unexpectedly! Don't understand brother, sister, or sister! "Izumi Honten" is closed on Wednesdays. Can't buy the freshly made "tricolor sandwich" that I wanted to eat. Headed to "Ikebukuro" to buy a "katsu sandwich" from "Maisen" instead? Could buy it after returning to Ikebukuro. Or go to "Mansei"? Ah! There was a shop in the basement of "Matsuya"! Arrived at "Izumi Honten" at the basement of Ueno Matsuzakaya! Asked, "Do you have tricolor sandwiches?" "Sorry! Those are limited to the main store and not available here." Bought 6 pieces of "hire katsu sandwich", 3 pieces of "menchi katsu sandwich", 1 piece of "crab cream croquette", and 2 or more pieces of "oyster fry". Got 2 bags of shredded cabbage as a service. The packs of "crab cream croquette" and "oyster fry" came with cooking paper, a nice touch♪♪♪ Took the bus back to Ikebukuro at around 6:00. When I got home, reheated the "crab cream croquette" and "oyster fry" in the microwave. Quickly plated the "katsu sandwiches" and enjoyed them. First, the "hire katsu sandwich" was delicious as always! 6 pieces disappeared in no time. The taste of the bread, pork cutlet, and sauce blended well. Next, the "menchi katsu sandwich", not available at the main store, was pretty good. The "oyster fry" was quite large for the price. Ate it with mustard and Worcestershire sauce as there was no tartar sauce. It was a good taste for a side dish fry. And then, the "crab cream croquette" was a hit! Completely different from supermarket cream croquettes. It has the taste of béchamel sauce. Great dish!
