Yes, I'm the one who requested to quickly finish a bottle of Shaoxing wine, then mix champagne and whiskey, and then said I want to come back here after a long time! But I hardly remember it (laughs). Originally, I wanted to eat delicious goat meat, mainly Okinawan cuisine, but I think my blood sugar was already maxed out from the alcohol?! Let's go for Awamori~! And all I have is a picture of that. Maybe we couldn't make it in time for the last order for food? I'll come back again when I'm sober or have some sense (bitter smile). Thank you for the meal~☆彡

Drinking in this neighborhood. I went to the second place. It's a modest location on the second floor of a yakiniku restaurant under the highway. I thought it was "Okinawan" when I saw "Okinawa" haha. It's not "Okinaweeze" haha. There were tables available, but I chose to sit at the counter. First, I ordered the Okinawa 2-point platter. You can choose from tofu, mimigar, shima rakkyo, and sea grapes, so I chose mimigar and sea grapes. The mimigar was seasoned with salt and dashi, giving it a unique flavor. I also ordered the Goya Champuru, which had spam, bitter melon, tofu, shima tofu, and bean sprouts. It was a bit unusual to have bean sprouts in it. The Okinawa mozuku was not available. I also tried the Soki Sutichika, which is salted pork ribs. It was quite voluminous and the restaurant's original dish. I also tried the spicy sauce island tofu, which was delicious. I had Orion beer for my first drink, then switched to awamori. I tried the Awahama for 2,500 yen, which was recommended by the staff, as well as the Miyazakura from Ishigaki Island, and the Chorou from Kitaya in Chatan. The lineup of awamori bottles on the back bar was impressive. It was organized by the region of origin, making it easy to understand. There is a flavor chart for awamori, which can make the experience even more enjoyable.

I went to OKINAWAN BAR MAMI-ANA in Azabu-Juban for a course meal with about 20 colleagues for a work gathering. The restaurant was reserved just for us. We chatted, drank, and had fun while enjoying the food, so I can't be too precise about the taste, but here's my record. The popular Mami Ana salad had a sweet dressing that was delicious. I wish they sold this dressing in stores. The chicken tataki with papaya and shikuwasa carpaccio had a nice crunchy texture and was refreshing, perfect for summer. The Fu Chan Ploo had fluffy wheat gluten and sweet tofu and vegetables, making it easy to eat. The Goya Champuru had no bitterness, with a sweet tofu base and tasty meat juices. The Okinawan soba with mimigaa had a nice crunchy texture and was delicious. Overall, the dishes were sweet and easy to eat with enjoyable textures. They could be good for preventing summer fatigue. Be careful not to drink too much, as the restaurant does not allow binge drinking. We had a great time with four rounds of drinks. It was delicious.

At 1:30, with closing time at 2:00, I really wanted to stay a bit longer, but alas! When I visited this day, even past midnight, the inside of the restaurant was a bit dark with the bar counter softly glowing blue in the back, and I was led to a spacious table sofa seat in the far corner separated by a sheer curtain. Surprisingly, all the other customers at the counter and table seats were men! (about 8-9 people) It made me wonder if Okinawan cuisine is popular among men. Nonetheless, it was quite a rare sight, and I decided to try some awamori, a type of Okinawan distilled spirit, that I've never tried before. I ordered a glass of regular and aged awamori to compare, but the waitress mistakenly brought two glasses of aged awamori. Even so, I accepted it and she said, "Just between us, the aged one is more delicious, you know?" It seems like the Okinawan women here have good skills! (laughs) I immediately ordered the failed dish of jimami tofu that I had at the airport the other day. The pickled shallots were already seasoned with bonito flakes and soy sauce. While nibbling on the edamame appetizer, I also ordered goya champuru, rafute, and couldn't decide on the seasoning, so I added sooki ponzu. The pork was tender and well-cooked, refreshing and healthy. I really liked it. Before I knew it, it was already last call. I definitely want to come back here again. Thank you for the delicious meal! (о´∀`о)

Okinawan cuisine has some classic dishes that are all delicious! From Mimigar (pig's ear), Tofuyo (fermented tofu), Rafute (braised pork belly), Goya Champuru (bitter melon stir-fry), Hirayachi (Okinawan pancake), to Soki Soba (Okinawan noodle soup) and more - all so good! The atmosphere, staff, and background music all give you a strong sense of being in Okinawa. The variety of Awamori (Okinawan distilled spirit) is top-notch! If you like Awamori, I highly recommend Ishigaki Island's Shirayuri and Miyanotsuru. It's great that they are open late for those coming after work. Visiting this place makes you want to go to Okinawa for real.

After eating and drinking, I didn't feel like going home just yet, so I was looking for a bar where I could relax. I stumbled upon Mami Ana, located near the Iidabashi-Katamachi intersection. It's on the second floor. It's an Okinawan cuisine & bar, so the interior has a tropical feel! There are ocean visuals, Okinawan music, Shisa, sudare, plants, awamori, and the friendly siblings who are from Okinawa! In such a space, there are cozy sofa seats!! I was so relaxed even though I was already full... When I looked at the menu, I found a dish I didn't know! Ishigaki shellfish? What is that? I ordered it. It's similar to Miru shellfish, with a rich sweetness and a crunchy texture! There is no fishy smell at all. I tried it for the first time and I was impressed!! For drinks, of course, I had awamori!! I didn't realize there were so many types of awamori! Since I'm not familiar with it, I asked the staff to choose based on my preference. However, I had it with water because I felt like I would get too drunk if I had it straight. It's a relaxing space, I really liked it. I want to go back to this place again! Thank you for the meal.

We held a farewell party for our part-time worker M, who has been with us for 3 years and is leaving at the end of this month. Our former colleagues took the day off today and came to visit our workplace during the day. Another colleague, S, who usually works late, also managed to join us, so the three of us who worked with M were able to get together! The venue was a Okinawan restaurant recommended by a junior colleague. It was a bit far from our office (about a 20-minute walk), so the junior colleague was hesitant about choosing this place, but we decided to prioritize the atmosphere and take a taxi there with three people, which would only cost about 200-300 yen per person. We left around 7:30 p.m. and took a taxi to the restaurant. The choice of this restaurant was spot on. M really loves Okinawa and visits there every year. We also went on a department trip to Okinawa for two consecutive years. The restaurant was filled with Okinawan vibes. Plus, you could see Tokyo Tower right in front of you from the window. There were beautiful Okinawan images playing on a large monitor, creating a great atmosphere. We opted for a drink-all-you-can plan, with choices like Orion beer and about 5 types of awamori. There were also soft drinks available. The food, including salad, stir-fried mimiga (pig ear), and goya champuru (bitter melon stir-fry), had a distinct Okinawan flavor and tasted delicious. We were having such a good time drinking today that I don't remember the taste of the food very well, but it was delicious. We had a lot of fun drinking with everyone, but time flew by quickly. M was in tears watching the video prepared by the organizer! I truly realized how much M had become a part of our team. Thank you so much. Initially, we thought there would be around 10 people at this gathering, but in the end, about 20 people showed up. The size of the restaurant was at its limit. M is definitely popular! We walked back to Roppongi after the party, but chatting with everyone made it feel like it wasn't that far. It was so pleasant that M didn't feel like stopping, but we ended up taking a train to Naka-Meguro and continued drinking with about 6 people until after 2 a.m.! I went home with the junior colleague who lives in Jiyugaoka, so the taxi fare was just a little over 2,000 yen.

I visited the restaurant for lunch again. I wanted to try the "Soki Soba set meal" that caught my interest last time. Unfortunately, it was sold out today. However, they offered to make a half portion for me. I also negotiated to add it to a Rafute bowl. The soba was chewy and delicious, the soup was great, and the Soki was tender even to the bone. The Rafute bowl was simple but the sauce soaked into the rice was really good. I was so satisfied that I decided to visit again in the evening. In total, I had two bowls of Soki Soba and Blue Seal purple sweet potato ice cream. It cost me a little over 5000 yen for one person in a group of six. I was very pleased with the experience. Thank you for the meal.

One of my favorite bars. The owner and his sister Ami are friendly and fun, making it a very cozy place to be. The food is authentic and they have a great selection of awamori, perfect for awamori lovers. No cover charge. It's like a secret hideout for adults that I always want to visit when I have free time. ♡

I went to this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. The atmosphere inside is soothing with Okinawan music playing. Behind the counter, there is a wide selection of awamori lined up, which was surprising to see. I started with a drink, not being familiar with awamori, I tried the recommended Namiwa, which was surprisingly easy to drink without a strong taste. For the food, I tried seaweed, island pickles, and bitter melon salad, all of which were delicious and I feel like I might get addicted to them. And of course, the must-try Goya Champuru, a home-cooked dish with various flavors, was really tasty here. Lastly, the Soki Soba was the most surprising. The light broth with tender soki is a definite winner. The owner, who is from Okinawa, is very friendly, so I recommend everyone to give this place a try.

The location of the restaurant is peculiar. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Roppongi, towards Iidabashi from Roppongi intersection. The staircase leading to the 2nd floor is hard to find. It has a hidden bar-like atmosphere with a counter, couch-style chairs, and tables inside. The menu offers authentic Okinawan cuisine with fresh ingredients like island pickles and sea grapes. The classic dishes like Rafute, Chanpuru, and Okinawan soba are delicious. In winter, they also serve Okinawan oden. The drink selection ranges from Orion beer to shochu and awamori. You can see Tokyo Tower from the window, creating a setting reminiscent of a corner highball TV commercial, although without the presence of Konatsu.

Until now, I had only used it for company reunions, so I had not clearly seen the atmosphere of the restaurant, but the other day, my colleague and I sat at the counter. The impression of the restaurant changed completely. This place is best for small groups where you can talk to the staff. Everyone is friendly and the service is great. The restaurant is a bit hard to find, located a little off from Itakura Higashi intersection, with only a faint blue light leaking out and no big sign, but as you go up the building, you will see a clean and softly lit restaurant. We went around 8 pm on Friday and it was not crowded yet. It seems to get busier after 10 pm. We took advantage of the 5th-anniversary promotion of 2980 yen all-you-can-drink, so we managed to keep the overall cost down. The food is typical Okinawan cuisine. The Soki soba and Goya Champuru are light and not too heavy like traditional Okinawan dishes. It's like a Tokyo-style twist on Okinawan cuisine. They were selling T-shirts with the Okinawa mark for 1980 yen. I was planning to buy one but I forgot. I want to buy that T-shirt next time I go.

The nearest station seems to be Azabu-Juban. The restaurant named "Bar MAMI-ANA" is located on the 2nd floor of a small white building right near the intersection of Iidabashi-Katamachi. It seems to be an Okinawan cuisine place. The building has no windows, but a small blue light peeking out makes it intriguing. Since the sign is hardly visible, I wouldn't have entered alone... I visited around 10 pm on a weekday. It was not crowded as it was a weekday, with about 2 regular customers. The interior is not spacious, with around 10 seats at the counter and 2-3 tables. The dim lighting and relaxing Okinawan music create a calming atmosphere. I sat at the counter that day. There were 2 staff members, and their looks were so Okinawan that I couldn't help but ask, "Are you from Okinawa?" They seem to be actually from Okinawa. Well, these staff members were really great. They were super strict (in a good way). Behind them were various Okinawan drinks like Awamori and plum wine. Plum wine made with Awamori. It seemed to be limited in quantity. It was a rich and delicious plum wine that I loved. Even though there were only a few, I kept asking for refills, I'm sorry. Shiikwaasaa. I had never tried this before, and being someone with little knowledge, it was my first time. Sea grapes. They are famous, but I haven't had them in large quantities. Also, the photos look kind of gross. It was delicious though. And this is a classic dish, Goya Champuru. The seasoning was so delicious that when I asked, "What do you use to season this?" they only told me one type of pepper, and apparently, they will tell me the second seasoning on my next visit... I have to keep coming back to find out everything. (´Д`) This is the manager's recommended Soki Soba. The meat was especially tender, and you can even eat the bones!! I thought it was a joke, but it was true... For dessert, I had ice cream. Purple sweet potato ice cream. They only had purple sweet potato! And it was from Blue Seal. It was also delicious. The person I went with said, "Purple sweet potato is the best at Blue Seal!" So, let's just trust the manager on this. I also had sweet red bean soup. It was warm and sweet. The food was delicious, but I really fell in love with the staff here. Basically, my criteria for choosing a restaurant is not only the taste but also whether the staff are charming. I don't want to tell anyone about this place, but... I promised to write about it on my blog, so... I had a great time chatting with the staff at the counter, playing games, guessing birthdays, guessing birthplaces, etc... It felt like hanging out with friends! It's a place where you can casually drop by alone. As I was leaving, I declared, "I won't come back!!" but I will definitely be back. And I will uncover the secret of the seasoning in Goya Champuru. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

The restaurant I was taken to because I mentioned that I like Okinawa and Okinawan cuisine. The entrance to the second floor is a bit hard to find, giving it a secret feel. As you climb the stairs, you enter a calming space with a nice atmosphere! I enjoyed some of my favorites, sea grapes and island pickles. The sea grapes were juicy and delicious. I also ordered some awamori (I forgot which kind) and it came in a Ryukyu glass. So lovely. It really put me in the Okinawa mood. Looking at the glass, I reminisced about Okinawa. I didn't stay for too long, but it was truly a wonderful bar, like a hidden gem. Whether you enjoy a drink alone at the counter, go as a couple, or chat with close friends, it's a great place. I saw in other reviews that they also serve lunch - I'd love to go during the day. The food was delicious, so I'm sure the lunch is great too. I'm starting to want to go back...
