The time before the curtain rises at the Kabuki-za theater was just right, so I arrived in time for the opening. I ordered the classic half course meal, appetizers, and asparagus rolls. The counter was filled with regulars, business travelers, and a couple from neighboring country C, making it fun to observe people. Now, onto the skewers - the five-piece course included quail meatballs, liver, thigh meat, grilled duck with miso, and chicken wings. The white hawk barrel sake was a perfect match. I would love to visit again and take my time enjoying the experience.

The total bill came to 4400 yen for a 3000 yen 5-course set with an additional beer and extra asparagus-wrapped skewer. I arrived at 16:50 for the 17:00 opening and had to wait behind two people. One person was holding a spot for a group of five in a few available tatami seats. The staff, who seemed to be family members, were very friendly. By around 18:00, the restaurant was almost full. The preparation of the dishes was meticulous, and the liver skewers were creamy and rich without any unpleasant odor. Despite the higher prices, the quality of the skewers matched the cost.

Located next to Ginza Mitsukoshi, at Takechan, I ordered a set that included 5 bottles of beer, 5 skewers of yakitori (tsukune, liver, duck miso dengaku, chicken wings, negima), grilled asparagus, and hatsumoto. The liver had a special touch added to its flavor, making it a rich and delicious dish. I found out that it was marinated with sesame sauce, which made it very enjoyable with alcohol. Although it was an additional order, the recommended hatsumoto had the sauce soaked into the tender meat, providing a satisfying texture. The restaurant had a cozy and friendly atmosphere, making me feel as if I were back home in the heart of Ginza.

I finally went to a yakitori restaurant I've been wanting to visit for a long time, called Take-chan. I arrived around 6:00 PM and luckily got a seat just in time. I ordered the yakitori set with 8 skewers and a highball. I also added the recommended asparagus roll. While sipping on my highball, I enjoyed the salad, grated daikon radish, and soup included in the set menu. The yakitori skewers were served one by one, each one delicious and perfect with the drinks.

Yes, I love it. Along with the neighboring Torimasa-san, this place gives off a nostalgic Tokyo vibe that makes you feel like saying, "As long as this place is here, Ginza will be just fine." The interior of the restaurant is spacious enough, making it easy to enter, and the staff are polite and easy to understand, so most people would prefer this place. However, it ultimately depends on personal preferences, habits, how you spend your time, and even likes and dislikes. For those who have been drinking for a long time, there should be no complaints at either place. The sake options include Nada's pride, Shirataka, served warm or chilled (room temperature), as well as other options like glass wine, lemon sour, and highball, catering to modern tastes. The basic course of five to eight dishes, known as a set meal, strongly recommends adding the popular asparagus-wrapped grilled dish. This time, we were not forced to order them, perhaps because we have gained some authority here, or maybe because we looked disheveled and bought a cheap bottle of Awamori. We enjoyed the famous grilled miso duck and delicious grilled chicken skin with sauce, moving our wrists back and forth between the tokkuri and choko cups. As we finished our meal without any additional orders, feeling satisfied, we saw customers waiting outside for a table despite the hot weather. We quickly paid our bill and left, thinking about where to go for our next drink. However, the mood for bar hopping did not really hit us. Please refer to the accompanying photos or the comments section for specific details about the dishes.

I was able to enter this restaurant without a reservation almost as soon as it opened. It was a Thursday, so I was able to find a seat easily. I ended up ordering the course menu and a few additional dishes. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. It's not so much about which dish was the best, but overall I was very satisfied with the meal. It was delicious!

A popular yakitori restaurant that has been selected as one of the top 100 yakitori restaurants in 2019 and 2021. Despite its location in Ginza, the exterior has a very casual atmosphere. We arrived around 6 pm on a weekday and were able to get a table right away. The yakitori courses are priced at 2,500 yen for a 5-piece course and 3,500 yen for an 8-piece course, both including salad, soup, and grated daikon radish. We opted for the 8-piece course. The course included tsukune (chicken meatballs), sasami (chicken tenderloin), liver with sesame sauce, duck with miso, chicken thigh with green onions, chicken skin, chicken wings, and ginkgo nuts. When we asked if we could have a highball, we were told to order shochu and oolong tea separately and mix it ourselves. The shochu was served generously in a glass with ice, and the oolong tea was provided in a small cup. Be careful not to spill it! The yakitori was served promptly, regardless of how fast or slow we were eating. We ended up ordering additional items like okinawa (chicken tail), asparagus wrapped in bacon, and shiitake mushrooms stuffed with meat. The shiitake mushrooms were quite large, making it a challenge to finish one on our own. The okinawa was delicious, living up to its name. Overall, the pace of the meal was a bit rushed, but considering the location in Ginza, it's understandable that they prioritize turnover.

My favorite yakitori restaurant in Tokyo. Today, I ordered white wine, 8 items, and pickles. The service was excellent, and I had a fun conversation with the hostess, who even told me about the less busy hours. The asparagus roll I added to my order was also delicious. It's always so tasty whenever I eat here.

I visited the restaurant alone. I arrived around 6 o'clock and it was already crowded with about 8 customers, probably because it was Friday. Even after I sat down, there was a constant flow of customers coming in and out. It's a popular place. By the way, the neighboring restaurant is also a yakitori place, but it doesn't seem to have many customers.

First, you are asked if you want the 5-piece or 8-piece yakitori course. You can also order a la carte in addition to the course. They use good quality chicken and you can smell the nice aroma of charcoal grilling. Reservations are not accepted, so it's recommended to go with a small group. We were lucky to get a seat for 4 people (there is only one tatami room for 4 people).

In Ginza, there is a long-standing traditional yakitori restaurant that does not take reservations. The restaurant is always crowded, and the staff, mostly women, are working hard. However, there seems to be a lack of coordination between the kitchen and the service, resulting in the skewers arriving at a fast and disorganized pace. The basic system is to choose a course of 5 (¥2,500) or 8 skewers, and then add additional items as desired. I ended up at this restaurant after giving up on another popular place with a long line. We ordered the 8 skewer course (¥3,500) which came with salad, grated radish, and soup. The salad and grated radish were served first, but the tsukune (meatball) with quail egg was dry and seemed pre-made. The shochu was served straight, with no option for water or ice until after you finish the first glass. The yakitori that followed seemed slightly overcooked, and we also ordered asparagus wrapped in duck, bonjiri (chicken tail), skin, and shiitake mushrooms. The chicken tail was served with no bones, and the atmosphere was smoky and reminiscent of a typical izakaya. Overall, it may appeal to those who enjoy a more casual dining experience, but the cramped space and slightly overcooked skewers were not to my liking.

I visited the restaurant yesterday after working late and leaving early with flextime. I arrived after 5 pm and it was quite crowded! I ordered the 5-skewer course, salad, grated daikon radish, soup a la carte, pickles, bottled beer, and shochu with barley water. There are 5-skewer and 8-skewer courses available, but I chose the 5-skewer course because I also wanted to order a la carte items. The 5-skewer course includes quail meatball skewers (with shallots), grilled duck with green onions, liver (with sauce), chicken thigh meat with green onions, and chicken wings. It also comes with a salad and grated daikon radish. I also ordered additional a la carte items: asparagus skewers, white liver, and grilled myoga with miso. Among the dishes I had this time, the asparagus skewers and white liver were excellent. Although asparagus is not in season, as an asparagus lover, it is one of my top 5 favorite dishes. The white liver was also very delicious. I enjoyed my 1 hour and 15 minute stay at the restaurant! Thank you for the meal!

There is a warm atmosphere when you enter through the entrance of "Take-chan" located behind Mitsukoshi. Skewers are served as a course with salad and grated daikon. The skewers are not very big, but they are juicy and delicious. The duck and shiso leaf skewer has a great combination of flavors with the aroma of shiso spreading in your mouth. Sitting at the counter allows you to experience the atmosphere of the grill, so I recommend it! The sisters working there are friendly and cute. The cost performance is good, so I would like to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal!

I couldn't make a reservation at this restaurant, so I arrived early before opening and found that nobody was waiting in line yet. I took a short walk around before coming back, and there were already 4 people in line. I waited in line and when the restaurant opened, the staff efficiently seated us at the counter. It was exciting to be seated right in front of the grill. We ordered the 8-skewer course and toasted with beer. The tsukune with quail egg in the middle was delicious with salt. The chicken breast with salt and wasabi had just the right amount of spiciness. The liver had a tasty sauce on it. The duck with miso flavor and shiso leaf was a nice touch. The skin was chewy with soy sauce flavor and the meat was juicy and delicious. Some skewers seemed a bit overcooked at times, but overall, the flavors were great.

The menu consists of set courses, and the atmosphere feels like a nostalgic Showa era, with a charm that is not often seen nowadays. This old-fashioned yakitori restaurant still remains, where you can feel like you've slipped back in time. The skewers were a bit overcooked. The staff in the hall were friendly and kind. The restaurant was quite smoky inside, so it may not be suitable for those who are sensitive to smoke. Thank you for the meal!

As expected, the food was delicious and the service was attentive. Despite it being August 10th, I was worried about it being a holiday tomorrow, but the restaurant was about 80% full. They offer set courses, and I ordered the 8-course meal with asparagus rolls and a bottle of beer. In between the salad and chicken broth soup they served as appetizers, the grilled chicken skewers I ordered kept coming one after another! Every dish was delicious. Even my companion, who usually doesn't like liver, quickly finished it. The food was so good that I ended up ordering extra white liver. A restaurant where every dish is delicious until the very end. I would love to come back with different people.

I had some errands in Ginza and after finishing them, I was unsure where to eat. I didn't want to go for an expensive meal typical of Ginza at night, so I decided to look for something different. I found a restaurant with a more casual atmosphere, not typically seen in Ginza. It had a historic charm, so I decided to give it a try. Around 7 pm, there was no line and I was able to get a seat at the counter without waiting. I ordered the 8-piece yakitori course and a bottle of beer. The second piece of yakitori was served while I was still taking my first sip of beer. The yakitori included tsukune, chicken soup, chicken breast, liver, duck, thigh, ginkgo nuts, and chicken wings. Overall, the yakitori was delicious and each skewer showed attention to detail and craftsmanship. However, there were almost no other menu options besides yakitori, so it's better for those who plan to hop around different places. The staff was plentiful and each had their own role, working together seamlessly. The service was quite fast, so it didn't feel like a leisurely dining experience. I left the restaurant after about 45 minutes. Despite its location in Ginza, this place offers delicious yakitori at a reasonable price, making it a great find in the area.

I finally went to "Take-chan" in Higashi-Ginza, which I had wanted to visit for a long time! It's a cozy yakitori restaurant that reminds me of the late-night drama "Tonight, in a 'Co' shape". Since it was my second stop of the night, I opted for the 5-skewer course. The tsukune (chicken meatball) and tebasaki (chicken wings) were especially delicious! The grilling was done perfectly and the flavors were amazing!

Visited this week based on the preview for next week's broadcast. It's the first time for this izakaya to make it to the top 100 on Tabelog! Usually, when a place becomes popular, it gets harder to make a reservation, but this place doesn't take reservations. They only offer two basic courses, either 8 skewers or 5 skewers. You can order individual skewers as well, but just asking for recommendations and adding those on will make you very satisfied. The service is quick, so you can just eat and drink without much deliberation, then pay the bill. By limiting the menu options, they reduce waste and increase turnover. And the taste is great, with a focus on yakitori! This was a really good place. Thank you for the meal.
