Located at 10-12 Asahi-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo 192-0083, this horse meat specialty izakaya is in collaboration with Okaga-ya. As soon as you enter the shop, a functional drink is served. The 1-liter draft beer is priced at 1,100 yen, which is quite cheap. The horse sashimi assortment includes five parts: horse belly, horse liver, cloud skin, lean meat, and bacon. The lean meat has a sweet taste similar to sukiyaki, with a gooey texture reminiscent of beef. The horse meat fry is unique and has a slightly chewier texture than tonkatsu. The "horse bone tempura" has a crunchy texture similar to fried salami, making it a perfect snack with alcohol. The wasabi lotus root has a distinctive flavor, but personally, I'm not a big fan of it.

When a child who loves horse meat said they wanted to eat horse meat, the first place that came to mind was this restaurant where my boss took me before. I made a reservation and visited. When I entered the entrance and opened the door to the right, it looked like a restaurant. Inside, there is a counter and beyond that, there are private rooms and second-floor seats. The slightly dim and calm interior, with staff who were not pretentious but also not too energetic like a lively izakaya. They were kind and attentive in just the right way! For drinks, I chose Akahoshi. As for the horse meat, it was surprisingly tender. Raw meat can be difficult for children to swallow, but this horse sashimi was thick and soft, not getting stuck in the throat. The taste was pleasantly light, but when you chew, you can really taste the umami. They also provided both sweet soy sauce from Kyushu and light soy sauce from Aizu, along with various condiments for each. It's nice to be able to change up the flavors! By the way, I only made a reservation because I thought it would be a good promise with my child, but it turns out that if you make a reservation, the appetizer is horse sashimi nigiri! It was too luxurious. My child and I were impressed and enjoyed everything!

After golf, I stopped by with three friends for a reflection meeting! This time, we made a reservation through LINE and went. It is convenient because it is close to the station, and the staff's customer service is brisk and pleasant. We enjoyed traditional horse meat dishes such as horse meat sushi, a platter of five types of horse sashimi, and cherry blossom hot pot. The meat is fresh, has no strong taste, is low in calories, high in protein, and is gentle on the body after golf, making it easy to drink alcohol. In addition to what is mentioned here, there are various horse meat dishes with different ideas, so I would like to aim to conquer the menu little by little.

The cherry blossom hot pot with leeks and horse meat here is the best. I really wanted to eat this hot pot, and when the lean meat is cooked, it's time to enjoy. Overcooking is not allowed. The staff's enthusiasm is amazing, and you can feel the love for the restaurant. The essence of the restaurant's love is evident.

The staff at this restaurant are very friendly and provide excellent service. The horse meat is fresh and tender, making it very delicious. I didn't like the nutritional drink they offered as a service, so I couldn't drink it, but I appreciated the thought. Overall, I enjoyed the meal. Thank you.

I happened to stop by this restaurant and it was a big hit. The horse sashimi and other dishes were delicious, and the atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and comfortable. I will definitely go back! I want to introduce it to many people. When I was leaving, it was raining, but they lent me an umbrella. Thank you!

I visited on June 25th (my birthday is on the 23rd) and my friend made a reservation for me because I love horse meat. We had a meal here again this year (1 whole horse course). I came here for the first time last year and it was so delicious that I came back again. I especially love horse sashimi and hot pot. I hope I can come back next year too. It's a restaurant that I love so much.

There is a wide variety of horse meat dishes available, making it tempting to try them all. My top recommendation this time is the cherry blossom hot pot. It is so delicious with a generous amount of green onions in the pot topped with horse meat. The broth is incredibly tasty. We mix it with beaten eggs and enjoy it like sukiyaki. For dessert, we had Japanese soba noodles, and they even provided a bottle keep service for Japanese sake or shochu. The bottle keep tag they gave us was so impressive that we ended up keeping the bottle. Can't wait to come back again!

After a big meeting, we had a casual party with some light warm-up exercises first. We started off with draft beer and a platter of five types of horse sashimi. Normally we have a lot of fish sashimi, so the horse sashimi was a refreshing change and quite delicious. There were two types of soy sauce to choose from, which was nice. As a little appetizer, we were served red pickled garlic, which was also good. The children's menu was also wonderful. It was only a brief visit this time, but I would like to come back and take my time next time.

I made a reservation and visited on Friday night. Seats were fully booked with reservations only, so reservations are necessary. We ordered a course with all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen. It included meat sushi, salad, assorted horse sashimi, garlic stir-fried tongue, fillet cutlet, horse meat hot pot, and soba noodles for the finish. There was also an original drink with my name in it available for all-you-can-drink. As always, it's a delicious restaurant where you can get very full. Make a reservation and try it out!

I had been curious about this place for a while, and it was my first time visiting. I decided to order as much horse sashimi as I could. Everything was fresh, tender, and had a good amount of fat, making me want to eat more. The horse meat sukiyaki hot pot I had as the finishing touch was excellent, with the crunchy green onions and the deliciousness of the egg adding to the overall flavor. It's a delicious restaurant.

I ordered the 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink option again this time. The food was consistently delicious, and I ended up coming back this week as well. The course included meat sushi, salad, horse sashimi, horse stew, horse steak, horse meat hot pot, and soba noodles for the finale. It covers all the signature dishes, so it's a satisfying course. It gets very crowded on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so I recommend making a reservation before visiting. Next time, I'd like to try ordering dishes individually.

This is a course with 7 items and all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen. The portion size is satisfying for this price. Since the seating is limited, it is recommended to make a reservation before visiting. This restaurant also runs a children's cafeteria from 3 to 5 pm, contributing to the local community. It's a restaurant worth supporting.

During the pandemic, I hadn't been able to go out much, so it had been about 4 years since I last had horse meat. I wanted to eat it again, so I went to a New Year's party with 4 people. We chose a course menu, which made it easy to order, and it came with all-you-can-drink, so it was convenient for payment. The staff were kind and quick, making the atmosphere pleasant. The semi-private room we were in was hidden behind the counter, making it hard for other customers to see us, which was nice. At first, the low ceiling of the room felt a bit cramped, but as we drank and ate, the small space became cozy and easy to talk in, creating a sense of closeness. The seared meat was deliciously meaty, and the hot pot with plenty of leeks and meat was like sukiyaki, dipped in raw egg. Both dishes made me crave white rice. If you have room in your stomach, it might be better to order dishes separately. I would like to plan another drinking party and request a private room next time.

I ordered a course with all-you-can-drink for 5000 yen. It includes meat sushi, salad, a five-piece assortment of horse sashimi, beef stew, horse meat steak, horse meat hot pot, and soba noodles to finish. The all-you-can-drink option is included in this price, making it a great deal. We also offer soft drinks that are not listed on the menu, so feel free to ask the manager if you'd like to try them. Additionally, from 3 to 5 pm, we operate as a children's dining hall. This restaurant contributes to the local community in various ways, making it highly recommended. Due to limited seating, be sure to make a reservation before visiting.

Horse meat is a local specialty in Aizu, so I have the opportunity to eat it quite often. This time, I tried the course with all-you-can-drink at "Umano Take" in front of Hachioji Station. The price was 5000 yen. We started with a welcome horse sashimi sushi, which was amazing! The menu can be selected and ordered from your smartphone by scanning a QR code. The course included salad, horse sashimi, stew, roasted horse meat, horse meat shabu-shabu, and soba noodles for dessert. The horse sashimi can be enjoyed in two styles - Aizu's "karashi miso" style and Kumamoto's "tamari soy sauce" style. I tried the Kumamoto style for the first time and it was delicious. The shabu-shabu and soba noodles at the end were also enjoyable. The price was a bit high for smaller portions compared to the local ones, but it was nice to see "Aizu horse sashimi" being promoted in a distant city.

I ordered the 5000 yen course with all-you-can-drink option. It included horse meat sushi, salad, yukhoe, assorted horse sashimi, horse stew, horse meat steak, horse meat hot pot, and soba noodles to finish. I was very satisfied with the 2-hour all-you-can-drink option! The atmosphere was cozy and fun. They also have a children's cafeteria during the day, contributing to the local community. Since the seating is limited, it's best for groups of 2-3 people. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had always been curious about this horse sashimi specialty shop. The soy sauce is on the sweeter side, made with soy sauce from Kyushu. I started with a drink of red horse mackerel to relax. We had red meat, loin, top belly, and raw ham horse sashimi, along with a simmered vegetable dish with shiitake mushrooms as a starter. With my son, we had 2-3 beers and the total bill came to 8,000 yen. When I go with my girlfriends, we usually spend a bit less, around 3,000 yen per person. While it's nice to buy horse meat from a butcher and enjoy it at home, considering the freshness and the melt-in-your-mouth texture of the meat, I think it's better to dine here if you want to enjoy yukke. They also sell takeout packs, so I'd like to try that sometime. I also admire the fact that they have a children's dining area.

Time Information Date and Time: Friday, around 10:00 PM Reservation: Not required Wait time: None Number of people: 2 Seating: Counter Frequency: 3rd visit in 23 days Duration of stay: 1 hour 40 minutes Payment: Cash Food Menu - Appetizer: ¥330 (tax included) - 5 types of horse meat sashimi: ¥800 (tax included) - Seared horse liver: ¥836 (tax included) - Corn tempura: ¥418 (tax included) Drink Menu - Hidaka no Homare (sake): ¥770 (tax included) - Black oolong highball: ¥528 (tax included) Good Points - Delicious horse meat - Mysterious red pickled vegetable Bad Points - Loft with narrow table spacing - Red pickled vegetable that gets in the way if not drinking Other Notes - Order through QR code scanning Overall Impression This review is from a group of people from Kyushu. After enjoying sake at Wano Cafe, two Kyushu-born drinking enthusiasts were still not satisfied and decided to visit Horse No Take, a trendy restaurant in Hachioji. The seating was at the corner of the L-shaped counter, and the restaurant was almost full. They ordered Hidaka no Homare sake and enjoyed a refreshing taste. The appetizer was turnip and stick broccoli namul. They ordered the 5 types of horse meat sashimi, which included lean meat, loin, two-layered meat, shoulder meat, and smoked tongue. Each type had its own deliciousness, with the lean meat being particularly tasty. The seared horse liver had a crisp texture and was served with plenty of green onions. The corn tempura was sweet and crispy. They also ordered a black oolong highball and had a pleasant time chatting with the owner about Kyushu and horse meat. They thanked the kind and beautiful "Madam" who accompanied them throughout the evening. Overall, they were able to thoroughly enjoy the delicious horse meat once again.

I visited "Umanojo" for a second round of drinks because a friend from Kumamoto recommended their delicious horse sashimi. The place was almost full when I arrived around 9:00 PM on a Friday. I sat at the counter and was greeted by friendly and lively staff. The menu was ordered through a smartphone, so I cannot provide prices for the items I ordered. I had the following: appetizer, lemon sour, horse sashimi platter with five different cuts including lean meat, loin, two-layered, shoulder, and smoked tongue, seared horse liver, corn tempura. The horse sashimi was delicious, and when I asked the owner if it was from Kumamoto, they revealed that it was actually from Canada. I was surprised to learn that most horse sashimi in Kumamoto is from Canadian horses raised in Japan. Overall, the food was delicious, and I enjoyed the experience.
