I had some errands nearby and decided to stop by this shop today. It's a local delicatessen that seems to be loved by the locals. When I visited in the early evening, most of the items were already sold out, but they had everything when I arrived earlier. The daughter of the owner was busy grilling more items for the peak hours in the evening. The yakitori was well-cooked with a rich and flavorful sauce, giving off a charcoal-grilled aroma. I usually like half-cooked yakitori, but this well-cooked version was also delicious and reasonably priced. I would love to visit this nice shop again. The owner and his daughter had a very friendly atmosphere.

A friend who was interested in Soshigaya came to visit, so I searched for an interesting yakitori restaurant in the area. In Soshigaya, there was Takahashi! However, even the charismatic brothers seemed unable to go alone, as they were eating hidden behind regular customers! My friend wanted to go, and I thought it would be okay if we went together. But when I peeked inside the restaurant, it was full! There were only white-haired old men, and the smoke was thick. The owner seemed kind, but the customers seemed intimidating (laughs). We gave up for that day and decided to try another restaurant. When I searched, I found a long-established, highly recommended restaurant! On the second day of sightseeing, after eating too much, we walked to Chitose Funabashi for some exercise and to walk the dog. Near Chitose Funabashi Station, there is a post office, so turn right immediately. If you go straight, you'll find another meat shop. Even if you make a mistake, they kindly guide you. The fried food looked delicious, so I'll definitely stop by next time. There was a review mentioning a signboard man, but it turned out to be a signboard woman! She was a tall, slender, black-haired E-girls type beauty (*^^*). Both the man and the woman were kind to the dog. Thank you! We bought almost all the menu items that caught our eye, two of each, and it cost 1080 yen. So cheap! We had a home drinking party. The sauce was plentiful! The sweet and salty sauce was so good that we poured it over tofu, rice, and even finished the sauce. It was delicious! The best ones were probably the skin, tsukune, heart, negima. I don't like liver, but I ate it because it's healthy (laughs). My friend also loved this restaurant! It was a fun experience. Thank you as always to my reviewers. It's a restaurant that is greatly loved by the locals, and we were satisfied and full. However, when my friend who brought the yakitori home left, my dog, who initially barked a lot, seemed lonely. It seems he misses the friend who brought the yakitori (laughs). The photos are amazing photos (ー ー;). When I tried to plate it nicely, it turned out like this! I'm sorry (laughs).

Thank you so much for the delicious food, uncle! I had some errands to run, so I asked for 20 skewers of negima, tsukune, liver, and cartilage at the store and at Docomo. I'll come back later to pick them up, so thank you in advance! When I went to pick them up, they gave me freshly grilled skewers as well. Thank you, uncle! I really appreciate it. I've been to a few skewer restaurants in Osaka where they strictly enforce the "no double dipping in the sauce" rule, but after buying some skewers at the department store in Wakayama, I realized that yakitori is the best after all. I worked out at the gym today, so I need to make sure to get enough protein for my muscles. Hmm, but I think I still prefer the yakitori from Yamajyu in the Ultraman shopping street.

I usually use Take on Saturday evenings, but this time I used it on a Saturday night after 8:30 pm while walking my dog. The yakitori was sold out, so the only options left were "Chicken Roll" and "Chicken Asparagus Roll", among others. I was torn but ended up choosing the "Chicken Roll", which they offered for a discounted price of 300 yen instead of 340 yen due to the late hour. They also specially brought out some "tsukune skewers" for my daughter as a bonus... and she was thrilled! I was also delighted to see her so happy, and the food was delicious too. It's a wonderful restaurant that satisfies both the heart and the stomach!! An amazing place in Chitose-Funabashi that you won't find anywhere else. ✨

This is a yakitori and fried food shop that has been around for a long time. The old man who works there is always very kind. Whenever I go, I can feel it. I ordered 2 tsukune skewers (90 yen each), 2 liver skewers (90 yen each), and 2 motsu skewers (containing gizzards and skin, 90 yen each). This shop has been around since I was little and has a nostalgic atmosphere. I always end up buying something when I pass by. I hope they continue to do well forever. Next time, I will stop by to buy some snacks for drinking in the evening. In addition to yakitori, they also have delicious looking fried foods like karaage, chicken tulip (a tempting dish), and chicken rolls.

On the way back from the station. I was so hungry that I decided to buy some side dishes on my way home today. I had been curious about this shop where people often line up, and this was my first purchase. I bought yakitori, liver, and cartilage. When I got home, I warmed them up in the microwave and opened the bag, and I thought, "Hmm, isn't the quantity a bit too much?" It turned out they had included some extra chicken skin as a bonus! I briefly considered buying the skin as well, but how did they know? Haha. I gratefully accepted the bonus skewer. The meat was tender and delicious. I will definitely go back again.

While strolling through the shopping street on the north side of Chitose Funabashi Station, I came across a shop that seemed quite old-fashioned. Surprisingly, this shop was not listed on Tabelog. Nearby, there was a butcher shop called Kasugaya, also not listed on Tabelog. The shop sold yakitori and fried foods, with the exact same name as a shop located four stations away in Komae. The one in Komae is larger, but they both offer the same products. I purchased "nankotsu" and yakitori, each priced at 90 yen per skewer. There were only about six types available at the time, all marinated in a sweet sauce. They were a bit tough since they were pre-made, but the nankotsu had a nice crunchy texture and a strong charcoal flavor, making it quite delicious. The yakitori, made with chicken thigh meat, was originally tough, but perfectly cooked. Considering the price and portion size, I think this shop is worth a visit.

The other day, I had the opportunity to use the Odakyu Line for work, and after finishing work, I decided to get off at Chitose-Funabashi. I used to live in Chitose-Funabashi until I entered high school, so it's what you might call my "hometown." It's been over ten years since I left my hometown, so maybe I was drawn by nostalgia. When I set foot in Chitose-Funabashi again after a long time, I remembered Fujiki-san's yakitori. When I was a child, my father and I often went together to buy yakitori from this shop. Or rather, it was a butcher shop. I have an image of yakitori being grilled in front of the butcher shop. Relying on my memories from the past... although it's very easy to find, my feet naturally took me there, but when I arrived, it had become a different shop. Considering the passage of time, I thought maybe the shop had closed down, but I searched on Tabelog just in case. And there it was, a yakitori shop with the same name on the south side of the station...! I left the station and walked about a minute to the south side, where it was located. The appearance was very similar to my memories from the past. There were many yakitori lined up in front of the shop, and meat was displayed in the case at the back. The atmosphere was very similar, even though the location had changed. And the dish I found out was the same, was the skewer of motsu. It combines chicken skin and gizzard, a skewer that is not often found elsewhere. Along with the nostalgia, I ended up buying various yakitori. The shop owner, whether he was from the past or not, was a very humble person with polite language, which made me happy. When I got home and had the yakitori after a long time, it was really delicious. Although it was pre-grilled, when I heated it in the microwave at home, the meat became pleasantly firm, and the charcoal aroma was very prominent, it was wonderful. I think the sauce is quite sweet compared to the typical yakitori, so it's not only good as a drinking snack but also as a side dish for rice. Also, most skewers are only 90 yen each, so it's cost-effective. Please try it when you are nearby.

In Setagaya, Tokyo, there is a takeout yakitori restaurant near Chitose Funabashi with no reservations needed. The prices are reasonable at 360 yen per item. I stopped by one evening and ordered my favorite yakitori items: cartilage, skin, and tsukune. The cartilage, skin, and tsukune were delicious with a savory sauce that had a hint of saltiness. However, I was surprised to find out that the yakitori I ordered was not chicken thigh meat as I had expected, but closer to liver or heart. I'm not a big fan of organ meats, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, the cartilage, skin, and tsukune were excellent choices.

Fujiki Shoten in Setagaya-ku, Tokyo. It is a traditional takeout specialty store for yakitori, karaage, and other side dishes. The nearest station is Odakyu Line's Chitose-Funabashi Station. I want to support this kind of shop (*´-`) A precious family-run business. I finished work early on a weekday afternoon, so I decided to get some snacks before heading home (*^ー^)ノ♪ This is my second time at Fujiki Shoten, I think. I used to get takeout yakitori from them before starting my food blog. This time, the old man wasn't there. It was a duo of the wife and a young woman. ◆Today's order◆ Nankotsu (cartilage) 90 yen x 2 Tsukune (meatballs) 90 yen x 2 Negima (chicken and leek skewers) 90 yen x 2 Liver 90 yen x 2 The soy sauce-based sauce is on the sweeter side, but it's a sauce that has been passed down and added to over many years, a pride of the shop. The shop's special tsukune was juicy and well-marinated.
