After a meeting in Roppongi, I went for lunch. I had the beef tongue set meal for 1000 yen. It used to be crowded, but recently there are fewer people. It's easy to get in, which is nice. It comes with white rice, about 5 slices of beef tongue, and miso soup. This is a place I would come back to for a casual lunch in this area.

The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, all of which are delicious! The mushrooms are a must-try. However, the prices are a bit high. The curry hot pot is famous, but I forgot to take a picture, haha. The staff are very polite and the atmosphere is cozy. I will definitely go back! Thank you for the meal♪

I stopped by this restaurant on a whim. The beef tongue skewers here made my taste buds sing. They were tender, juicy, and simply delicious. However, to be honest, the prices are a bit high. But if you don't consider the prices, the overall taste is worth it. I'd like to try their lunch or set meals next time. The appetizer they served at the beginning was tasty, and the beef tendon stew was delicious too. The homemade dressing for the salad was good. We spent 45 minutes there, had 3 alcoholic drinks, 1 soft drink, 2 beef tongue skewers, a salad, beef tendon stew, thinly sliced beef tongue, and one more dish, and the total came to about 20,000 yen.

I visited the Giontei restaurant in Roppongi. The seating inside was spacious and had a calm atmosphere. This place is popular not only for its beef tongue but also for its curry udon. The beef tongue went well with alcohol. The horse sashimi was also incredibly delicious. They offer lunch sets which are good value for money, so I recommend having lunch here too.

A high-end beef tongue restaurant. Good value for lunch with a focus on beef tongue for dinner. Open until morning, which is great. Prices are high, similar to Roppongi. Not recommended for those looking for cost performance. For dinner, we recommend the beef tongue set meal, ramen, and curry udon.

On a national holiday, there were few empty restaurants in the Roppongi area. I was surprised by the view of people lining up at the shops. I saw a tempting beef tongue dish and decided to eat curry next to it. The beef tongue set meal was decent, with slightly tough meat but good flavor. The vegetable stir-fry was a bit salty but not bad. The miso soup side dish was okay, but pickles would have been a nice addition. The beef sinew curry was quite heavy and rich, with delicious sinew but a lot of sauce. The minced cutlet was tasty, but the breading was thick and heavy. Overall, I may find it difficult to visit this restaurant again.

I had a button hot pot lunch at Giontei in Roppongi. I was expecting a wild boar hot pot, but it turned out to be just regular pork belly... I'm not sure if it was wild boar, but if you think of it that way, it works. The meatballs were delicious with concentrated flavors. Overall, it was like a pork belly white miso hot pot. It cost 1000 yen. Thank you for the meal.

Recently, I had been eating nothing but dull food and was feeling stressed. I finally had a decent lunch, so maybe that's why I ended up writing this review? I tried to go to Tsurutontan for some ramen, but it was too crowded so I gave up. Oh well, it happens. What kind of place is this? Iceland Lamb Genghis Khan set meal for 1,000 yen exactly. Not bad! However, I was craving protein and vegetables. I couldn't find any vegetables. Even the side menu didn't have any vegetables. Oh well, nothing I can do about it. And then, it was served with rice and soup. The soup was average. Instant miso soup would have been better. I couldn't find any vegetables. But when I moved the meat with my chopsticks, lots of bean sprouts and cabbage appeared. The lamb meat might have been cooked too much, but it didn't have a strong smell, and I felt better afterwards (just my personal opinion). It didn't make me go "Wow," but it was alright. Thank you for the meal. I wish I could have enjoyed some wine too.

Blog: Hangover Meal at Gion-tei Hello, it's the hangover meal here at Gion-tei. With the extension of the state of emergency, it's quite difficult to find open restaurants around Roppongi. However, amidst all this, I rediscovered a place that I had never been to before, despite passing by it many times. The signboard for beef tongue caught my eye - it's a place called "Gion-tei." I had always thought it was "Tanya Matabee," but that's a different place. There's a sense of unity in the names, don't you think? Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed the old-fashioned interior that gives off a vibe of being around for a long time. Menu: - Iceland lamb meat Genghis Khan set meal 1000 yen - Beef tendon and beef tongue curry set meal 1000 yen - Lamb meat and beef horn Sichuan hot pot set meal 1000 yen - Three-element pork tonkatsu set meal 1000 yen - Botan nabe set meal 1000 yen - Wagyu tripe stew set meal 1000 yen It's basically a meat dish restaurant. They all look delicious, but I was in the mood for tonkatsu, so I went with the three-element pork tonkatsu set meal. After a short wait, the tonkatsu arrived. It was thicker than I expected, and came with rice and soup. The tonkatsu had a crispy coating and tasted delicious. It had a nostalgic flavor that reminded me of classic tonkatsu. I usually enjoy fancy tonkatsu with various toppings, but there's something special about plain tonkatsu with sauce and rice. The rice and soup were also delicious, and I finished everything in no time. Thank you for the meal! The restaurant opens around 11:00, which is convenient. The price is also reasonable at 1000 yen per meal. I originally wanted to try the beef tongue, but they only had curry, so I would love to come back if they offer beef tongue grilled set meal in the future.

Today is cold, so I feel like having hot pot! I came in on a whim based on everyone's opinions~! It seems that curry hot pot is popular, but I ordered something different - beef tongue as well~! It's very much appreciated by us men~! The alcohol goes down smoothly and it's easy to get to the location. I definitely want to visit again~! ✨✨

An izakaya specializing in beef tongue located in Roppongi. Visited for lunch where they offer not only beef tongue but also beef tendon curry, lamb jingisukan, tonkatsu, and other dishes. I chose the seasonal limited bontan nabe set. It was a simple set with rice and fry. The bubbling hot bontan nabe served was comforting and warmed me up from the inside out.

The curry hot pot is always delicious. I want to eat only the curry hot pot. The marbled horse sashimi and horse liver are also very good. It's great that they are open late. The soup of the curry hot pot is so delicious that I added an extra serving for 500 yen.

I went with a friend to this restaurant. The atmosphere inside was nice and the seats were spacious. I forgot to take photos, but I ordered the beef tongue set meal. We also ordered horse sashimi and tongue sashimi. The beef tongue is famous here, so I was looking forward to it. When it arrived, it looked delicious. And when I tried it, it was really tasty. I recommend everyone to try it!

After exiting Roppongi Station on the Hibiya Line from Exit 5, turn right, then go left on Gaien Higashi Street. Pass the coin parking and continue straight ahead. You will find the restaurant on the left side. I tried the lunch menu, which was the grilled beef tongue set meal. The beef tongue, seasoned with salt, was exquisite and a must-try for beef tongue lovers. The salted vegetable stir-fry underneath was also delicious. The set meal includes rice and miso soup. In addition to the grilled beef tongue set meal, they also offer Sichuan-style mapo tofu set meal, Japanese beef tripe hot pot set meal, seared black wagyu beef tartare set meal, beef tendon and beef tongue curry set meal, and pork cutlet set meal made with three-way pork. All lunch menu items are priced at 1000 yen including tax. Highly recommended for beef tongue lovers.

During a break from work, with only 30 minutes to spare, I was heading to a certain curry chain restaurant to grab some curry. However, on the way, I noticed a lunch sign for this restaurant with the words "Stew Set Meal." I thought that stew would be quick to eat since it's just a matter of serving it, so I hurriedly went inside. I sat down and immediately ordered the "Beef tendon and beef tongue stew set meal." Before long, it was served. The stew had plenty of vegetables and was very satisfying to eat. The tendon and tongue were tender and well-cooked, making the rice very enjoyable. I'm glad I ordered the "extra rice" even though I was short on time. I was able to have a filling lunch within my scheduled time, and for 1000 yen (tax included), it's very reasonable for this location! Thank you for the meal!

If you want to eat curry udon, go to Giontei! I went to Roppongi by myself to have a meal in between work. I love curry and wanted to eat curry udon, so I came to the famous "Giontei" after a long time. It was almost full on a Friday, but I managed to find a seat. I ordered the signature "Wagyu beef shigure mochi cheese curry udon". The curry udon here is different from the usual Japanese-style dashi curry. The soup is creamy, not sweet, with lots of finely chopped onions cooked until thick and very delicious. As someone who loves spicy food, I also ordered the spicy paste. This creamy curry udon, which you can't taste anywhere else, is a taste that makes you want to come back again.

After endless work without lunch and dinner, I decided to have curry before dawn. I took a stroll to Roppongi, where a massage lady and African men giving me intimidating looks followed me along the way. In the past, walking alone used to make me nervous, but now I'm okay, probably because I've become numb to various things. I arrived at "Giontei," a beef tongue restaurant that serves curry udon and curry hot pot. Next to it, there are two other restaurants, "Jitsunowa" serving curry noodles until dawn, and "Tsurotontan" serving curry udon until dawn. There is also "Tanya Matabei" where you can have beef tongue until dawn. The counter is lined with shochu and sake, and a refrigerator at the back displays hanging beef tongues. I ordered a lemon sour for 700 yen, and the appetizer was salmon. The beef tongue skewers cost 2800 yen. There are more expensive options on the menu, but for a solo meal before dawn, the curry udon is just right. I ordered the famous Wagyu beef shigure cheese mochi curry udon for 1300 yen. It came in a round bowl, reminiscent of "Konaya," with creamy curry udon, melted cheese, glossy Wagyu shigure, and a large mochi. The dish was not as heavy as it looked, with a perfect balance of cheese, mochi, and noodles. It was just right for the early morning. The restaurant is open until 5 am on weekdays and unbelievably until 7 am on Fridays. Despite the night vibe of Roppongi, it's a good place to keep in mind.

Roppongi izakaya. Beef tongue is popular here, but I'm not a fan so I had the ginger pork set meal (1,000 yen) for lunch. It comes with a side dish which adds some variety to the flavors.
