Drinking with a junior colleague who shares similar interests and is always eager to explore new places. I let the junior colleague choose the restaurant and we arrived 5 minutes before opening, being the first to enter without a reservation. We started with Heartland beer (bottled) and ordered the following dishes: Cold liver - incredibly delicious chicken liver with plenty of green onions. Potato salad - tasty with a nice texture from fried green onions. Raw ham - light and tasty chicken raw ham, pairs well with highball rather than red wine. Green onion dumplings - dumplings with plenty of green onions, easy to eat in one bite and undeniably delicious. Negi-jo - a unique twist on garlic shrimp or mushroom, with both added upon request. The flavor of green onions infused in the oil was particularly delicious. Margherita pizza with green onions - a pizza where green onions take the spotlight, a unique taste that is neither Western nor Japanese but undeniably delicious. Roasted pork shoulder with Senju green onions - the meat was delicious but the green onions stole the show. Surprisingly, the green parts were more flavorful and fragrant than the white parts when dipped in miso or salt. Negi-shibi cold noodles - a refreshing dish with Chinese noodles rinsed in cold water and topped with green onions, sansho pepper, and other toppings. Each dish was loaded with green onions and paired perfectly with alcohol. The Negi Ball drink, which we only had once, was interesting but best enjoyed early on as the flavor of green onions was subtle even before getting drunk. We lost count of how many drinks we had, but we drank at a good pace and the bill was reasonable considering we may have ordered too much. I didn't regret it and even thought about trying to conquer the entire menu. The unavoidable consequence was waking up with a strong smell of green onions the next day. Be cautious if you have roommates.

This was my second visit to the restaurant. I started with a green onion highball and enjoyed dishes such as grilled green onion, green onion pizza, horumon, and green onion and shrimp ajillo. The green onion cheesecake was delicious, but what stood out this time was the green onion miso ice cream, which was exceptional. The saltiness was just right, and the sweetness was perfect.

There is a negi (green onion) specialty shop along Suidobashi Street in Hatsudai that I have been curious about for a while. Unable to get a seat before, I decided to make a reservation and visit. The interior of the shop has both counter and table seats, and the staff mentioned that they have been in business for 9 years. Despite the long period, the shop doesn't look old at all. They offer various dishes featuring negi, and even drinks like negi-flavored limoncello and highball. I was surprised by the negi-stuffed cheesecake, which surprisingly had a great harmony of flavors. The female staff was very friendly and I could see why they have regular customers. I am considering bringing my friends to this impressive shop.

Negi Negi, a specialty restaurant for green onions, located in Shibuya-ku Honcho 2-16-7, offers a variety of delicious dishes featuring green onions. The menu includes dishes like whole roasted Chisuzu green onions, Negi Miso, and salt for dipping, which bring out the sweetness and aroma of the onions. The Negi and tofu salad with Kujou green onions is a must-try, and the Negi Miso stir-fried offal with extra garlic is a recommended winter dish. The Negi Jo (similar to Ajillo) with plenty of green onions and mushrooms is a perfect match with olive oil. The restaurant offers a wide selection of non-alcoholic beers and various alcoholic beverages. The food was delicious, and it's worth mentioning that green onions are a low-calorie ingredient. Overall, it was a great dining experience at Negi Negi.

I made a reservation and visited the restaurant on Saturday. The interior was filled with leeks and leek colors everywhere, even the Daruma doll was green. There were counter seats, table seats, and terrace seats. It seemed like there were many regular customers. We were served a cold leek potage-like dish as a complimentary appetizer, which was delicious with olive oil and powdered cheese. I ordered the following dishes:
- Whole roasted Senju leek: A whole roasted Senju leek for 800 yen. It was a striking dish with a lot of impact. The staff cut it with kitchen scissors. It was best enjoyed without any seasoning, as the natural sweetness of the Senju leek could be fully appreciated.
- Senju leek tempura: Hot and crispy tempura for 650 yen. I enjoy vegetables in tempura as it allows you to savor the original flavor. The sweetness and presence of the Senju leek were evident in this dish.
- Kujyo leek dashimaki tamago: Sweet dashi-flavored rolled omelet for 650 yen. The rich dashi flavor without sweetness paired well with rice or sake. It was a type of rolled omelet that I really liked.
- Steamed chicken and fried leek banbanji: Moist steamed chicken and crispy fried leek for 700 yen. The combination of tender chicken and crunchy fried leek was healthy and a safe choice.
- Shrimp and leek jou with bread: Hot leek and shrimp dish with bread for 750 yen. It was tasty, but I felt it needed something extra. All the dishes on the menu featured leeks, which leek lovers would surely enjoy. The owner was lively and friendly, and the service was just right. As a self-proclaimed "leeky girl," I would suggest incorporating more dishes using the nutritious leek roots, such as deep-fried, tempura, jou, or minced leek sauce to enhance the love for leeks. If there were dishes featuring leek roots, it would be perfect. Thank you for the meal.

I found an interesting restaurant specializing in green onions in Hatsudai. It's a short walk from Hatsudai Station and Hatagaya Station, about 10 minutes away. I visited the restaurant on a weekday around 9 pm, and it was about 60% full. I ordered the following:
[Food]
- Dodenabe (complimentary appetizer): A hearty dodenabe with plenty of green onions. The flavor is strong, making it a good accompaniment to drinks.
- Steamed chicken and charred green onion Bang Bang Chicken Salad (700 yen): I wanted the Negichin Japanese salad, but it was sold out, so I opted for the Bang Bang Chicken Salad. It was quite filling.
- Negi Negi Shrimp Mayo Tempura (700 yen): Shrimp wrapped in green onions and served with a sweet chili sauce. It was crispy and delicious.
- Salted pork belly hidden by green onions (600 yen): The pork belly is covered by a generous amount of white leeks in a light salt soup. The green onions steal the show in this dish.
- Green onion pickles (400 yen): A refreshing and tasty dish that you can't stop eating.
- Kujyo Green Onion Rice Bowl (500 yen): A rice bowl topped with an abundance of Kujyo green onions and egg yolk. It was seasoned with sesame oil, but I wished there was a bit more soy sauce.
[Drinks]
- Extra sour Lemon Sour (500 yen)
- Negichu (600 yen)
- Negi Ball (600 yen): The drinks also had a green onion twist. The Negichu was based on Senju green onion shochu. The Lemon Sour had options from slightly sour to extremely sour. I chose extremely sour, and it was quite tangy.
The young staff was friendly, and the service was good. From observing the counter, it seemed like many customers came to chat with the staff. The food was delicious, and I would definitely like to come back again.

I tried hosting a winter onion-themed dinner party that I had been wanting to do since before March 2020. With 9 people attending, we shared each dish among 3 people. Here is a summary of the dishes we enjoyed:
- Assorted Onion Appetizers: Marinated green onions with mustard, cream cheese and onion miso, and fried eggplant and green onions. The standout dish was the marinated green onions, but the cream cheese also left a lasting impression. The nuances of the onions were truly impressive.
- Steamed Chicken and Charred Onion Salad: A unique salad with great flavors.
- Chijimi Onion Tempura: Pure onion tempura that was bursting with flavor. It was a dish that made you want to come back for more, although it was served very hot, so be careful if you have a sensitive palate.
- Roasted Whole Chijimi Onion: The roasted onion had an incredibly intense sweetness in the center. It was served with salt and miso, allowing you to enjoy the sweetness or umami as you preferred.
- Marunegita Pizza: A pizza with a Genovese sauce made with onions and topped with even more onions. The thin crust allowed the flavor of the onions to shine through.
- Onion Shabu-Shabu Hot Pot: The main course of the night. It consisted of various types of onions and chicken slices cooked in a hot pot. A must-try dish that left everyone speechless.
- Bite-Sized Dessert Assortment: Desserts featuring onion ice cream and onion almond jelly. Both had a hint of onion flavor, showcasing the expertise of the restaurant.
Overall, the Winter Onion Feast was a delightful experience, with the concentrated sweetness of the onions shining through in the cold weather. The restaurant is flexible with course contents, so feel free to customize your order. The kitchen staff, who clearly love onions, are fun and accommodating. I highly recommend trying this unique dining experience.

◆Excellent Dish: Whole Roasted Senju Scallions
This interesting restaurant specializes in scallions, which may lack in presentation but offers creative dishes featuring scallions that are quite delicious. One dish that particularly impressed me was the Whole Roasted Senju Scallions! It's like a scallion steak, with Senju scallions that have a sugar content exceeding even peaches at 17 degrees, making them incredibly sweet. The tender-crisp texture, when paired with salt or scallion miso, is simply delightful. Another equally delicious dish was the Ninejo Scallion-covered Egg Rice to finish off the meal. It's a fun restaurant where you can appreciate such unique culinary creations.
◆Menu for this Visit:
- Scallion Trio Appetizer: Scallion Pickles, Scallion Cheese, Scallion Mustard
- Steamed Chicken with Burnt Scallion "Stick-Stick Chicken" Salad
- Thick-Cut Potato Fries with Scallion Pesto Dip
- Whole Roasted Senju Scallions with Salt and Homemade Scallion Miso
- Fried Young Chicken with Burnt Scallions
- Ninejo Scallion-covered Egg Rice
- All-you-can-drink option including "Negichu" (Senju Scallion Shochu) for 4400 yen per person (evening)
◆Enjoying this Restaurant:
<Profile>
An izakaya specializing in scallions, using them in all dishes.
<Ordering>
The Scallion Trio course ordered this time requires a reservation, includes a 2.5-hour all-you-can-drink option, and costs 4000 yen excluding tax.
<Atmosphere>
The door handle and chopstick rests being scallions add to the ethnic ambiance of the izakaya. The cheerful conversations with the lively manager and staff make the dining experience enjoyable.

I visited this restaurant for dinner on a regular day. I love green onions. This place has been featured in various media, especially because the owner is known for promoting the love of green onions. I didn't know it was such a popular place. I found this place by searching for "green onions" and felt like I had discovered it on my own, rather than through media or reviews. It's about a 7-minute walk from Hatagaya Station. I wondered if anyone would come here other than those who really love green onions. But surprisingly, there seems to be many green onion enthusiasts out there. There were groups of friends and couples dining here. The atmosphere is natural and multicultural, with reggae music playing and green onion-themed decorations all around. It felt like a dream world. From the appetizers to the drinks and desserts, everything is green onion-themed. I ordered dishes tailored for one person, and here's what I had: Green Onion Tofu Salad, Shrimp Green Onion Ajillo (served with baguette), and Green Onion-covered Egg Rice. The dishes were not just unique, but the flavors were also delicious and perfectly complemented by green onions. If you love green onions, you will be sure to enjoy these dishes. I especially promised myself to have the Egg Rice again next time. The staff were friendly and eager to share ideas about green onion dishes with me. As a green onion enthusiast known as the "Green Onion Lady" in my family, I felt like an average green onion lover in this world.

We visited a restaurant called Negi Kitchen specializing in dishes made with leeks along the roadside with my friends who love leeks. From the appetizers to the drinks and the final rice dish, everything was made with leeks and matched very well.

The parade of green onions, green onion chicken, and delicious green onion rice with fried chicken. The green onion rice with egg has a slightly overpowering taste of sesame oil.

The menu consisted entirely of dishes using leeks. Even the alcohol had leeks in it, so it could be a blissful moment for leek lovers. The seating includes a counter that goes all around and a few bright and welcoming table seats. It's a nice atmosphere. It's fun to wonder what kind of dishes will come out. The food is delicious, and there are many cooking methods that I don't usually eat. The dishes are tasty, but many have a strong leek flavor. I ended up eating too much and felt like my whole body was covered in leeks. I ate so much leeks that I didn't want to eat them for about three days. If you like leeks, it's a good place to go. There is more leek flavor than I expected.
