I had known for a while that a new store was opening along Misuji Street in Akasaka. It had a stylish feel, so I wondered what kind of store it would be... To my surprise, it turned out to be a Chinese restaurant! Upon researching, it seemed to be a trendy, modern Chinese restaurant. So I decided to visit on the opening day. The first thing that caught my attention was the sign placed at the entrance stairs, making it difficult to enter the store. Although it's a street-level store and the interior is clearly visible from outside, the store is quite spacious. There are counter seats and table seats. I was seated at the counter closest to the entrance, but the narrow space behind the counter was quite concerning. The design of the entrance and flow seemed quite haphazard for a newly opened store. Now, let's order!... I thought, but when I looked at the menu, more than half of the dishes were sold out. Even the popular dumplings had several items out of stock, making me question why they opened at this time. The menu options available for ordering were quite limited.
- Draft beer (490 yen)
I started with a beer. The price was 490 yen, slightly cheaper for Akasaka. However, it took quite a long time for the beer to arrive, highlighting the operational shortcomings.
- Stir-fried garlic chive omelette (740 yen)
I tried various dishes. The garlic chive omelette was fluffy and flavorful, very delicious. But the portion was small and the price was a bit high.
- Cold bell pepper with minced meat miso (450 yen)
This is a convenient and tasty appetizer, but the minced meat miso was quite messy and made it difficult to eat. The integration of minced meat miso and bell pepper was lacking, and the taste was average.
- Pan-fried dumplings (450 yen)
Lastly, the signature dish, dumplings. The crispy wings were visually appealing and tasted very good. They were not particularly unique but were simply delicious dumplings.
Overall, despite being a new store, there were some disappointing aspects such as the slow service and staff response. The interior is very clean, but it doesn't seem to stand out too much. The food was average in taste, yet seemed a bit overpriced. While some may visit once out of curiosity for a new establishment, I may choose another restaurant for a repeat visit. I might consider going back if improvements are made, but based on this experience, I would probably choose another place... I hope for better things in the future.
