I left this draft unattended... (^^;) I remembered the existence of this place during the limited time when some restaurants were open around the end of the year or the beginning of the year, and visited with a friend. It was around 5:00, a bit early for dinner, so there were no other customers. When the station was first built, there were only a few buildings in Mizue, with only Life as the main one, and about 30 years ago, there used to be a long line just to enter the building. This used to be part of the dining area at Life, but now it's the only one left. We ordered the "gyoza" and the "half fried rice set". We also tried the special 50th-anniversary item, the "ramen with meat miso to dissolve in". The gyoza was crispy and delicious. The ramen in the set was like typical chain restaurant ramen in terms of appearance and taste. The fried rice was simple with just egg and green onions, a bit plain. The 50th-anniversary item, the "ramen with meat miso to dissolve in", was not good. The soup itself had no seasoning, and the broth was very weak. It had raw onion slices and leeks on top, and the meat miso was not warm, so when dissolved, the soup became lukewarm, which was not very appealing. They say it's the taste from when they first opened, but even for nostalgia's sake, this was hard to enjoy. If people thought this was delicious back then, the evolution of ramen taste is truly remarkable. In the kitchen, they were busy preparing gyoza. The handmade gyoza was delicious. With chain restaurants overflowing in front of the station, it's tough for this place to compete. Thank you for the meal.
