"Wine and Charcoal-grilled Skewers Ginza Ogi" is a place where the technique of charcoal-grilled skewers is top-notch. The marriage of wine with the skewers is wonderful, and the recommended wine paired with the skewers is excellent, providing a satisfying experience. This restaurant stands out as one of the best places for yakitori and wine, which is a rare find. For a Ginza date, I prefer sitting at the counter, while the table seats are suitable for entertaining or dining parties. The glass-walled interior offers a sparkling night view and a sense of openness. The signature tsukune skewers are delicious, with a fluffy and juicy texture that overflows with meat juices. The lamb meat with blue cheese goes well with alcohol. The white liver pate pairs perfectly with wine. The melty texture of the scamorza cheese is good, and the tomato-wrapped meat is hot and juicy. It's delightful to have rare cuts of meat available as well. The skilled chef's grilling technique and the carefully selected dishes complement each other well, making it easy to keep eating. The meal ends with truffle grilled rice balls, which are interesting and provide a warm and satisfying finish in a rich tea-infused style. There are also highlights such as dishes that are smoked instantly. The restaurant uses tableware from "Pottery Studio Shikikado" by ceramic artist Takayoshi Yano, which is also used by the most popular yakitori restaurant in Japan, Torishiki. When served in such cool dishes, the deliciousness and satisfaction are heightened. I look forward to visiting again."

I went to Ginza with my family for some errands, and since it was hot and I didn't feel like cooking when we got back home, I decided to make a reservation at this restaurant for an early dinner after they opened. I was excited to try a yakitori restaurant as I hadn't been to one in a while. I reserved the full course menu for 8100 yen, which included: - 3 types of appetizers - Specialty tsukune - 6 recommended skewers of the day - White liver pate - Daily special dish - Daily palate cleanser - Truffle grilled rice ball as the closing dish - Chicken collagen soup - Daily homemade dessert - After-dinner drink The restaurant had a wide selection of wines, and I asked the sommelier to recommend wine pairings with the dishes from the menu. The appetizers included roasted Japanese beef loin, Okinawan Royal Pork rillette, and a bisque made with Kitakari potatoes. The tsukune was the restaurant's signature dish and was incredibly juicy and flavorful. The skewers were served with a variety of meats and vegetables, each cooked to perfection. The salad with Parmesan cheese was light and refreshing, providing a nice break between the skewers. The grilled chicken thigh was smoky and tender, while the snap peas were bursting with flavor. The restaurant also served lamb skewers with gorgonzola cheese, a unique and delicious combination. The meal ended with a truffle grilled rice ball and collagen soup, followed by a homemade dessert and a drink. The entire dining experience was delightful, and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a high-quality yakitori meal.

I visited "Wine and Charcoal Grilled Skewers Ginza Ogiteki" again, which I found stylish, delicious, and good value for money during the previous state of emergency. The restaurant is located about a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station Showa-dori exit and about a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station A7 exit. The budget is around ¥10,000 to ¥15,000. The interior of the restaurant is elegant and calm, with a sophisticated atmosphere where you can dine while overlooking the outside from the window. I made a reservation through Tabelog for the "Premium Course with Pairing," which includes 7 types of alcohol pairing. I was really looking forward to it this time as my last visit was during the state of emergency. First, the Champagne paired with the appetizer was exquisite and had a refreshing taste. The most popular dish in the restaurant, the "tsukune," was incredibly fluffy, melty, and full of umami flavor. It was truly amazing! The pairing with "Santenay 2018 Philippe Colin" was also perfect. Each dish and wine pairing that followed was spot on, the amount of food was just right, and the level of service was very high. I felt that it was a great place to enjoy skewers and wine in a calm atmosphere. The course ranges from ¥6,800, and I highly recommend it as well. I would love to visit again! Thank you for the meal. Tabelog rating: 3.53 (at the time of posting) - Premium Course with Pairing: ¥18,000 including 7 pairings - Menu items included in the course: appetizer, Champagne, tsukune, grilled chicken and vegetables, chicken liver, beef cheek in red wine, palate cleanser, smoked chicken breast and chicken tenderloin, chicken wings, truffle noodles, dessert, and sake from Kagawa Prefecture.

A yakitori restaurant where you can enjoy the marriage of yakitori and wine. The yakitori is cooked to a slightly rare style rather than well-done, which was to my liking. They use Shinshu Jidori chicken. They also offer a wine pairing course. This yakitori restaurant has a good selection of wines, and many customers opt for bottle orders, so it's convenient to be able to try various wines by the glass. I personally like switching between red and white wines, and I particularly enjoyed the wine selection in the first half of the course, which made the pairing very impressive. The staff explained the wines themselves, but I would have liked to hear more about why a particular wine was paired with a certain dish. They also hold wine tasting events (is it rare for a yakitori restaurant to host wine tastings?!) and I noticed several wine bottles displayed in the restroom. The restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of a building, and the night view is quite nice. There are both counter and table seating options, making it suitable for various occasions such as company gatherings or dates. I opted for the pairing course, but I believe you can still enjoy the restaurant at a slightly lower price point on regular visits (though I still recommend the pairing course, haha). Chinchilla / Blanc de Blancs Brut → Cheers with Champagne. × Roasted chicken thigh, white chocolate, vichyssoise → I had the elegant sweetness of corn raw. I often eat Gold Rush. Philippe Colin / Santenay Rouge 2018 → Pinot Noir from Santenay. It went extremely well with the tsukune (chicken meatballs), the fat and the wine melted together, and it was irresistible... × Tsukune (chicken meatballs) → Fluffy and juicy. Hatsu (chicken heart). Markus Molitor / Pinot Blanc Haus Klosterberg 2021 → Pinot Blanc from the Mosel region in Germany, sweet and gentle. × Negima (chicken and leek skewers), grilled vegetable assortment (zucchini, matured Makein potatoes, Padron peppers) → The vegetables were hot and fluffy, with a lovely texture. Fourth Wave Wine / Wild Folk Shiraz 2021 × Liver, beef cheek red wine stew → The bread had raisins and was crispy, making it very satisfying. palate cleanser: kabosu (citrus fruit) granite. Francois Carillon / Cap au Sud 2021 → Chardonnay from Montagnac in southern France, with a rich honey-like flavor from the barrel. × Smoked chicken breast and chicken tenderloin → The strong smoky aroma of the smoked dish was very photogenic! palate cleanser: smoked herring and grated daikon radish. Klinker Brick Old Vine Zinfandel 2018 × Chicken wings → They were quite large. Truffle udon. Kagawa Kawatsuru Sake Brewery / Sanuki Cloudy → Surprisingly, the dessert was paired with Japanese sake. × Mango yogurt ice cream. Tea.

Dinner with my sister after a long time✨ I wanted to eat delicious yakitori, and I found a place near Kabuki-za called Ogi where you can also enjoy wine! I made a reservation and went there right away. The restaurant is somewhat upscale, and opting for the course menu is a much better deal, so this time I chose the most popular full course for 8100 yen! It was a hot day, so we started with a beer toast✨ First, we had: - Appetizer - Roasted beef loin - White corn known as White Chocolate - Potato bisque - Tsukune (chicken meatball) - Shinshu Jidori chicken heart - Low-temperature cooked pork with consomme jelly - Kumamoto eggplant - Smoked seseri (chicken neck) - Scamorza cheese - White liver pate - Australian lamb - Grated radish - Tomato meat roll - Truffle grilled rice ball - Chicken broth - Dessert - After-dinner sake - Mango sherbet - Fresh chocolate - Orange jelly The unexpected after-dinner sake was served with Japanese sake! The mango sherbet was the best match, so we enjoyed it while eating the sherbet. It was nice to be able to try three different kinds of one-bite-sized desserts! The restaurant seemed to be popular for business meetings and dates. The atmosphere at the counter was also good, so I thought it would be nice for a date too. ◎

Located in Higashi Ginza, the yakitori restaurant "Wine and Charcoal Grilled Skewers Ginza Ogi -TEKI-" specializes in using five different types of brand chickens such as Shinshu Shinano Jidori, Kyoto Beni Jidori, and Mizugou Jidori for their skewers. They also incorporate lamb, pork, and game meat. Their tsukune (chicken meatballs) are fluffy and top-notch in terms of tenderness and juiciness. The other skewers are also excellent. As the name suggests, they focus on wine pairing, offering a selection of white and red wines in limited quantities due to the small size of the restaurant. The drinks may seem a bit pricey, so it would be nice to have more affordable alcohol options available.

Doki (Ginza Yakitori) A stylish restaurant where you can enjoy yakitori in a fashionable atmosphere with wine. Some skewers had flavorings that were slightly influenced by wine. In particular, the smoked yakitori (I think it was chicken breast?) was very delicious with a high aroma. Highly recommended for a date in Ginza.

The Western-style interior of the restaurant is stylish and calming. The course meal was delicious and beautifully presented. I enjoyed it with wine. I was surprised when the truffle rice for the finale came on skewers, and the way to eat it with miso soup was exquisite.

The skewers of yakitori were delicious, with 6 skewers, 2 palate cleansers, and a tasty dessert. I believe we ordered the 9,000 yen course (the new premium course). The alcohol options were limited to wine pairing only, so we opted for individual drinks. However, we found the individual alcohol options to be expensive and lacking variety, so I would rate it 3.5 stars. If you're looking for delicious yakitori, this place is a must-visit!

This time, I used it for a girls' night out. It's a great location, just a 3-minute walk from Ginza Station and a 1-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor. When the door opens, you'll find a modern, stylish, and open interior, like a bar. We enjoyed a luxurious time at the counter where you can enjoy the live feeling of the grill. It's equipped with special smoke exhaust equipment, so you can enjoy your meal without worrying about smoke. Highly recommended for dates. The most popular course is the 7900 yen course, which includes: - 3 types of appetizers - Spring cabbage potage - Smoked salmon mousse - Roasted beef thigh - Tsukune - Chicken heart - Baked Jerusalem artichoke - Petit veal - Momentarily smoked chicken tenderloin - White liver pate - Australian lamb with gorgonzola - Liver - Radish and iburigakko - Tomato wrapped in meat - Truffle grilled rice ball - Today's homemade sweets - Amo strawberry semifreddo - Fried pasta - Grand Marnier orange jelly - After-dinner drink Beau Michelle The appetizers got us excited! The presentation of the dishes, which the girls would love, kept us excited throughout. The various dishes were served at the perfect timing. The parade of excellent dishes that bring out the goodness of the ingredients will make your heart dance. There is also a wide variety of wines that go well with yakitori, making the alcohol go down smoothly. For those who are not good with alcohol, I recommend the grape juice. It had a deep flavor and was very delicious. I would love to visit again. Pulcia soda mix, Bernard Bremon Grand Cru Brut NV, Organic grape juice, Sulsiba (sparkling water)

The interior of the restaurant was smaller than expected, but the chicken tsukune was incredibly delicious. I wanted to eat several more! The hatsu and lamb were also tasty, but the truffle risotto with rich chicken soup was amazing. I was so impressed by how delicious it was that I want to eat that tsukune again! It was seriously so delicious!!! In terms of wine, I wish there were more options for by-the-glass wines. It's hard to commit to a whole bottle, so having a variety of glass wines would be better.

I revisited the restaurant with a former colleague from work after a long time, so we decided to indulge a little. We ordered the most popular full course menu for 7,700 yen and a glass of wine. Every dish was delicious, especially the tsukune which was soft and creamy. We enjoyed it with champagne. The skewers that followed were also very tasty. Although we had a lot to catch up on, we hurried to finish our hot dishes. Since we were already there, we decided to order an additional dish. I ordered the rare part of the day, the aorta, which was tender yet had a good bite to it. We finished our meal with truffle grilled rice balls, strawberry sherbet for dessert, and a pairing of sake from Nagano Prefecture. My companion was also impressed. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The title might give the impression of a relaxed and stylish restaurant, but in reality, it was quite small and crowded. However, the reviewer didn't mind the crowdedness and found the atmosphere to be nice. The yakitori was juicy and the flow of dishes from appetizers to the truffle grilled rice ball at the end was wonderful. The wine was also very good. They forgot to take photos but overall, it was a great experience and they plan to go back again.

Ginza's wine bar-style yakitori restaurant. The interior is relatively narrow. Ordered the premium course. Wow, it exceeded my expectations! The tsukune (chicken meatball) was great, of course, but the truffle somen noodles at the end were also excellent. It had a chicken broth-like flavor, but not too heavy, more mellow. It paired well with the somen noodles. And the post-meal sake, FU., was also great, especially with the Nashi pear sorbet. The additional grilled ice cream was also delicious! Overall, it's perfect for business dinners or dates. The only downside is that the drinks are a bit pricey, but the wine feels like a good deal. The premium course has a good amount of food, but I recommend it for the truffle somen noodles alone.

I was invited by a friend and went to the restaurant they chose. I was looking forward to it as they said it was a nice, affordable yakitori place with delicious food. Nowadays, it's difficult to get a reservation at popular restaurants, but this one was quite busy as well. As we waited for our food, more and more customers started coming in. It seemed like people were enjoying their meals with a nice glass of wine after work, accompanied by good background music. The restaurant mainly serves Shinshu Shinano Jidori, and the course menu is premium. - Appetizers: - Sasami konbu-zuke - Mascarpone black fig from Sado Island - Cold pumpkin potage - Tsukune with duck - Heart - Grilled vegetables: - 2-year aged Kitaakari - Chiba Kohaku turnip - Zucchini - Chicken gizzard - Chicken back meat - Cheek meat simmered in wine - Grated daikon radish with miso and smoked herring - Otafuku (grilled chicken thigh) - Yagen nankotsu (grilled chicken cartilage) - Truffle simmered noodles - Frozen yogurt with miso powder The meal started off well, with the tsukune having a nice depth of flavor with a hint of duck. The grilled vegetables in between the yakitori were a nice touch, easy to eat and refreshing. The sorbet for palate cleansing was not too overpowering, and I enjoyed mixing in some sansho pepper for a flavor change. The truffle simmered noodles were small in portion, making it easy on the stomach. The dessert ice cream paired well with alcohol, and even though I'm not a big drinker, I found it quite tasty. The tea at the end was also well-blended, with a refreshing aroma. The atmosphere felt like a classy bar, suitable for dates or business meetings. The restaurant is called "Ogi," written as "Teki" in Japanese. The quality of the food is high, the atmosphere inside the restaurant is great, and they have a wonderful selection of wines. It is located in a building along Showa Street next to the Kabuki-za theater. The first floor is a fruit daifuku (mochi stuffed with fruit) shop, and you can take the elevator up to the third floor where the restaurant is located. The course menu is not too expensive, but the drinks are a bit pricey. Shochu and plum wine are 1,500 yen per glass, and highball is 1,600 yen. It's more cost-effective to order a bottle, so I always go for champagne. The dishes are all designed to pair well with wine, so I recommend getting a bottle. The chicken meatball hamburgers here are really delicious. The liver pate, lamb meat with gorgonzola cheese, smoked chicken thighs, large chicken wings - everything is of high quality and goes well with wine. You can also order individual skewers for an additional charge, ranging from 350 to 880 yen. If you go with the intention of enjoying wine, you will be very satisfied. It's a great restaurant for dates or business entertaining.

Good evening~(^_^) After finishing work today, I went out for a meal! I was invited by my boss to a place called Hagi-san, located on the 3rd floor of a building just a short walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. The interior of the restaurant has a stylish atmosphere that seems perfect for a date. We were handed hot towels and given an explanation of the menu. This restaurant specializes in pairing wine with grilled skewers. To start, I toasted with a highball today. I chose to toast with my current favorite Japanese whiskey, Ichiro's Malt. It was really delicious!! For appetizers, we had a lovely trio of yogurt, orange, and duck. The specialty tsukune skewers were incredibly juicy and delicious, almost making me swoon. They were paired with a Burgundy wine, which had a deep flavor and paired perfectly with the tsukune. Next, we had chicken heart skewers and vegetable terrine. At this point, I found myself ordering a draft beer for some reason - it was the Master's Dream after all! I gulped it down. The smoked chicken thigh had a subtle smoky flavor that tantalized the palate and nose of the eater. It was a meticulously crafted dish that impressed me. The zucchini was hot and moist, making me want to eat it quickly but I couldn't because it was too hot! The wine was a full-bodied Tempranillo that was beautifully enjoyed. After that, three more dishes arrived, followed by a palate-cleansing sorbet at the perfect timing! The tomato roll was the best I've ever had. Lastly, we finished with truffle-topped grilled rice balls and soup. It was a very satisfying meal. I'd like to come back next time not with my boss, but for a date! I'll be back!!

I had always wanted to go there, but due to COVID, I had been avoiding eating out, so I couldn't go for a long time... tears. Finally, after about 2 and a half years, I was able to go again as COVID is starting to settle down a bit. Even on a weekday, the restaurant was full, so reservations are essential! The clientele seemed to be mostly in their 40s and above, so I think you can enjoy a leisurely meal there! This time, I made a reservation for the full course, and there were new courses available as well! There were premium courses and courses with wine pairings! Here are some highlights from the meal: - Appetizers: Corn Potage Soup, Hungarian Duck Prosciutto, Zucchini and Shiitake Mushroom Balsamic Marinade - Specialty Tsukune: Juicy and flavorful meatballs - Hatsu (Southern Chicken) dish: Large and juicy chicken pieces - Miura Vegetable Salad: Fresh and delicious seasonal vegetables - Yagen Nankotsu (Soft Bone): Tasty and well-cooked soft bone dish - Seasonal Vegetable Skewers: Delicious and fresh skewered vegetables - Scamorza Cheese: Smoked cheese with a gooey texture - White Liver Pate: White liver pate with raisin toast - Chicken Thigh Smoked Skewer: Juicy and flavorful smoked chicken skewer - Sweet Summer Orange Granita: Refreshing orange sherbet - Tomato Wrapped Pork: Pork wrapped in tomato with a good balance of flavors - Truffle Grilled Onigiri: Grilled rice ball with truffle flavor - Chicken Bone Soup: Chicken bone soup for a comforting end to the meal - Post-Meal Sake & Handmade Dessert: Sake paired with yogurt sorbet I had been looking forward to visiting again, and the food was still delicious as ever! I will definitely revisit soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♥

I visited Ogisan in Ginza. It is located on the 3rd floor of a building with a Fruit Daifuku "Benzaiten" on the 1st floor, just a few minutes' walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. It was my first time visiting the restaurant, so I opted for the recommended skewer course of the day for ¥7,200. [Appetizer] Hungarian duck prosciutto with zucchini and eringi balsamic marinade White corn potage The duck prosciutto was tender with a sweet fatty taste that melted in my mouth. The potage was rich in corn flavor yet had a light and refreshing taste, perfect for a hot day. [Skewers] Specialty tsukune Chicken heart and soft bone Red eggplant from Kumamoto Scamorza cheese Shinshu chicken thigh meat instant smoked Tomato wrapped in bacon I never expected to encounter such a fluffy tsukune in my life. Despite its generous appearance, it was tender and juicy, bursting with meat juices in every bite. I tried both sansho pepper and black pepper, but personally, I recommend the fragrant sansho pepper! The chicken's cooking and seasoning were perfect, and the vegetables were also in top condition. The red eggplant was juicy with a smoky charcoal aroma, and the gentle seasoning enhanced the sweetness of the ingredients. [Today's Dish] Miura vegetable salad [Other] White liver pate with raisin bread I initially doubted the combination but was pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of the pate paired with the crispy toast. The addition of raisins to the savory taste made it a delightful and crunchy treat. [Palate Cleanser] Granita of summer oranges [Rice] Truffle grilled rice ball Chicken collagen soup Even before opening the lid, the truffle aroma wafted out. The grilled rice was chewy and soft, and when combined with the soup, the sweetness of the rice was enhanced, providing a comforting end to the meal. [Dessert] Yogurt sorbet Homemade chicken broth snack orange jelly "Sanki Cloudy" paired with the yogurt sorbet was a perfect balance of sweetness and freshness, leaving a refreshing feeling. The combination with the sorbet was excellent. Enjoying skewers while overlooking the streets of Ginza was truly luxurious. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I visited Ogisan in Ginza for a meal with friends after a long time, enjoying wine and charcoal-grilled skewers. I had been avoiding dining outdoors, so I was really looking forward to this. We started with three appetizers and a toast with beer! The white corn potage soup was sweet and gently coated my throat. The duck prosciutto had a strong flavor that became more delicious as I chewed. The beer paired perfectly with the duck prosciutto and balsamic marinated dish, and we finished it quickly. Then came the famous tsukune (chicken meatball skewers)! I had never been so surprised by the taste of tsukune before. It was incredibly delicious. The combination with sansho pepper was excellent. All the other grilled dishes were also delicious, but the tsukune was the best. I will definitely go back soon just to have the tsukune again! It was amazing!

Ogi is a stylish yakitori restaurant located in the Pencil Building in East Ginza, known for their wide selection of wines. The modern interior features glass walls, creating a sophisticated atmosphere. The building seems to have a lot of sushi and yakitori restaurants, with three sushi places in particular. Ogi is a great place to enjoy the pairing of yakitori and wine. Their dishes include crispy tebasaki (chicken wings), fluffy liver, tender chicken breast, and their specialty, soft and creamy tsukune. Each bite melts in your mouth, releasing a burst of flavor. The course menu also includes cheek meat stew and a sorbet for palate cleansing. The meal ends with truffle somen noodles, a light and satisfying dish with a distinct truffle aroma. Overall, a great dining experience at Ogi.
