¥1280. It was cloudy with an outside temperature of 32 degrees, but I still came. It was a weekday at 1:30 PM with about 20 customers ahead of me. I ordered the Charmin Yawame with bamboo topping. The portion was already large, so the bamboo topping may not be necessary. Today's Hama-machi Shinfuku was delicious as always, with the soup and chashu leaving a lasting impression. Thank you very much, it was a great meal.

Today is too hot from the morning. I was sweating a lot in Ginza early in the morning. The humidity is crazy. Indoors, the air conditioning is freezing, causing a crazy temperature difference in the body. Now, it's lunchtime in the Hamamatsucho/Daimon area. Walking through narrow alleys, I saw a familiar sign. Huh? "Shinfukusenkan"? In Hamamatsucho? Until now, when I wanted to eat their Chinese noodles, I had to go to Akihabara, but they opened a branch in Hamamatsucho? There are several branches in Tokyo, but the Akihabara branch has the most faithful taste to the Kyoto main store. Especially, my favorite is the Osaka KiKi Kyobashi branch. I decided to visit this new branch for sure to replenish my salt intake. Compared to the Akihabara branch, the interior is spacious and I was able to enter smoothly without waiting. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very comfortable. I ordered the classic set menu, of course. Chinese noodles and fried rice, both in regular size. It was a generous portion and definitely worth more than ¥1,200. The taste was excellent, very close to the authentic flavor. This place is now confirmed as my favorite restaurant starting today. I found another great restaurant. Thank you for the meal. When I asked at the cashier, "Did this restaurant open recently?" They said it opened in January this year.

I love the set with a regular size Chinese ramen and a small fried rice for ¥1100. The basic flavor of the Chinese ramen is just right, with the added richness and acidity of the special soy sauce being irresistible. The thinly sliced chashu pork is a nice touch. It may not be mind-blowing, but it definitely satisfies my craving for Chinese ramen. The fried rice has a strong pepper flavor, which may not be for everyone, but I personally like it. The combination of rice and oil brings out the deliciousness. Even the almond jelly dessert included was satisfying (although it had a slightly powdery texture). Thank you for the meal.

One of the popular ramen shops in front of Kyoto Station has a branch in Tokyo. As it originated from a long-established food stall, the taste is deep and rich! The popular lunch menu is a set of ramen and fried rice. Ramen (regular) + fried rice (regular) 1,200 yen Ramen (regular) + fried rice (small) 1,100 yen Ramen (small) + fried rice (regular) 1,100 yen Ramen (small) + fried rice (small) 1,000 yen Ramen + grilled dumplings + white rice + kimchi 1,200 yen I ordered a small + small set due to recovering from an illness. The ramen has a black soy sauce base, yet it has a sweet and rich flavor. It's no wonder it's a popular shop in Kyoto. It's refreshing with bean sprouts and green onions. The thinly sliced simmered pork is so delicious that you can't get enough of it. It has a moderate amount of fat, a good balance of lean meat, and is well-made. The fried rice is made with al dente rice, stir-fried with black soy sauce. The generous use of pepper is also a major point. There is no meat, but the intense umami flavor makes it easy to eat. With a satisfying portion in 12 minutes, I headed to work in the afternoon feeling full.

On a regular day, I visited the restaurant right at 11 o'clock when it opened. Last time I went to the Akihabara branch. The lunch menu offers dishes like small-sized Chinese soba and fried rice, which are quite filling even in their small portions. I have a good appetite, but these dishes left me satisfied. The interior of the restaurant has a traditional Chinese-style layout, spacious and clean. Personally, I think ordering the noodles firm ensures they stay delicious until the last bite. However, the fried rice is excellent. It was the perfect lunch for the day after a night of drinking! Thank you for the meal.

-Chuka soba (Chinese noodles) regular size + Yakimeshi (fried rice) regular size (1,200 yen)
-Lemon sour (450 yen)
I visited Shinpukusai-kan, a restaurant famous for its black soup from Kyoto, which has its main branch there. In Tokyo, they have branches in Azabu Juban and Akihabara. I have been to the Akihabara branch before, but this time I visited the Hamamatsucho branch, which opened in January 2023. I went around 9 pm on a weekday, and the restaurant was about 40% full. The interior was surprisingly spacious, with many table seats, making it convenient for groups. I imagine it gets crowded during lunch hours.
- The black soup of the Chuka soba was not as thick as it looks, and it was light and easy to finish.
- The fragrant fried rice was delicious.
- The lemon sour was not too sweet, perfectly chilled, and refreshing.
Personally, I like Shinpukusai-kan, so I felt a sense of stability and returned home happily. I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

¥1350. The temperature outside is 30 degrees, finally feeling the autumn sunshine, it's nice. I arrived at 11:40 on a weekday, and there were already about 35 customers inside, but I managed to find a seat. It seems like half of them are regular customers. I ordered a small size with extra meat toppings. I'm trying to lose weight, but I ended up ordering fried rice too because I was tempted by the person next to me (T.T). The fried rice today had a strong pepper flavor for some reason. It was just right last time, though. I think it would be better if the staff taste-tested it together. Since it has a good flavor, I believe it would be better to have a little less pepper. It might be a good idea for each table to have customers adjust the pepper to their liking. The ramen was delicious as always today. Thank you very much, and bon appétit.

I visited around 12:15 on a regular day. There were 8 people waiting, but the turnover rate was good so I was able to be seated in just 10 minutes without much waiting. By 12:40, almost no one was waiting to get in. This restaurant, with its main branch in Kyoto and several other locations in Tokyo, was one I had been wanting to try. I wanted to try both the black ramen and the black fried rice, so I ordered a set with a small portion of ramen and a small portion of fried rice. Despite being black, both the ramen and the fried rice were not as spicy as they looked, and were surprisingly light. The ramen, topped with plenty of green onions and thinly sliced pork belly, had a good amount of ingredients and medium-thick noodles that paired well with the rich soy sauce broth. The fried rice was on the drier side, but the taste made me want to come back for more.

I visited around 18:00 on a regular day. There were mostly tables for 4 people, but there was only one person at each table, with a total of 5 groups. I ordered from the menu, and there were some good value set menus available, but I chose the following items:
- Special Char Siu Rice Bowl with Kimchi (1100 yen)
- Small Chinese Noodles (780 yen)
- Extra Green Onions (150 yen)
- Oolong Tea (350 yen)
The food arrived in about 5-6 minutes. The Chinese noodles had a nice firm texture and the soup, although black in color, was not too salty. It had a refreshing soy sauce flavor. The noodles were topped with plenty of thinly sliced char siu, almost like a char siu noodle dish. The crunchy bean sprouts added a nice touch. I ordered extra green onions for the noodles, but it wasn't really necessary. The char siu rice bowl was filled with lots of green onions, so it felt like it was covered in onions. When I dug in, it turned out to be more like a fried rice dish than what I had expected! The fried rice was heavily seasoned with pepper, making it too spicy for my liking. The kimchi served on the side was average. The soup that came with the set menu tasted like a diluted version of ramen soup. The char siu in the Chinese noodles was moist and delicious, but the char siu in the rice bowl was dry and tough. If I were to visit again, I would probably go for the Chinese noodles. Thank you for the meal!

I visited the restaurant for the first time in a while on a weekday after 6pm. The atmosphere is welcoming for solo female diners. I ordered the regular size of Chinese noodles and fried rice (both regular size) and paid afterwards. The appearance hasn't changed much, but it somehow tasted better. The medium-thin straight noodles with a good texture may have been the reason. The fried rice had a nice crispy texture as well. The regular size portion was quite filling for the price of 1,200 yen including tax. Based on the photos and comments, the small size portion for 1,000 yen would also be satisfying enough.

A popular restaurant in Hamamatsucho offers a simple menu of Chinese noodles and fried rice, both available in small portions for 1000 yen (tax included). Despite being small, the portions are almost the same as regular size and are quite satisfying. The name of the restaurant includes "Kyoto," so perhaps the ramen is Kyoto-style (though this is just a guess as I have not tried it). The soy sauce-based soup, similar to Toyama Black, is very dark and pairs well with the generous amounts of green onions and chashu. The noodles are slightly thin and straight, providing a chewy texture. The fried rice is flavorful with a generous amount of pepper, matching the intensity of the ramen. Surprisingly, the overall dishes are not too greasy, so they do not cause much indigestion.

I went to Shinfukunai for vitamin intake. You can actually add extra green onions for an additional 150 yen, so I asked for extra green onions. Even though it looks like there's only green onions, there are also bean sprouts and meat in it. Surprisingly, there's quite a good amount of meat even with the standard serving.

This used to be a dumpling shop, but it changed its business model and now it's a place I've been curious about. Is it a famous chain from Kyoto? The ramen with black soup and the black fried rice caught my attention. I ordered a small bowl of ramen and a regular portion of fried rice, and my stomach is now full. I also had two dorayaki earlier, so the small sizes would have been enough! The fried rice was served generously, with a substantial amount of rice. The ramen soup seemed a bit strong at first, and the chashu pork was also on the rich side, but as I kept eating, it became just right (maybe I got used to it?). Men would probably like this a lot! I might end up buying a smoothie at the nearby convenience store as soon as I step outside, haha. I've been feeling unwell since the latter half of July due to the intense heat, so please make sure to "eat well" to get through this scorching summer!

The fried rice was surprisingly salty! I think women might not like it... The Chinese noodles had a gap between appearance and taste, and they weren't as salty as expected. The char siu was thin, tender, not greasy, and delicious. I ordered a small size, but it was a sufficient portion. The shiso dumplings were average.

¥1280. It was just before 12 o'clock on Saturday during the Bon festival, and most companies and restaurants around here are on Bon holiday, but this place was open. It was good. There were about 15 customers ahead of me. I had the Char siu ramen with extra bamboo shoots. The black soup was delicious as always. I wonder when I can come again. Thank you very much. It was a great meal.

Four of us girls visited the restaurant at night. We ordered beer, gyoza, and shared a set of small ramen and small fried rice for two girls (1000 yen). We were surprised that the portions were small. The ramen had a very dark soup but wasn't too flavorful. There was a lot of chashu which was too much for me. Looking around, we noticed that all the customers were men. The fried rice, however, was delicious! I want to eat it again. We were able to eat until full for about 1000 yen per person, so it was great value for money.

I originally thought it was a Chinese restaurant based on its appearance and name, but I realized it was a famous long-established ramen shop in Kyoto. I have never been to the main store, so I have not tasted the original taste, but I visited with the expectation that it would surely be delicious. The lunch menu offers a good deal with fried rice and a set, where you can choose to have the ramen or fried rice in a smaller size, both in a smaller size, or both in regular size. There was also a menu that combined gyoza. The black soup was impressive, and the noodles were straight, but there was something about this taste that seemed familiar... it reminded me of the soy sauce in Asahikawa ramen, a nostalgic soup in any case. I added garlic halfway through, and it matched perfectly, perfect for changing the taste, it feels like a taste from the Showa era. The menu structure seemed enjoyable for the night as well, so I would like to visit at night next time. A ramen that is perfect after drinking, there is no greater happiness than this.

The taste at Shinpukusaikan in Kyoto and Azabu-Juban was completely different. The ramen noodles and toppings are the same. The abundance of chashu is a plus. However, the soup is not delicious. In Kyoto or Azabu-Juban, you can feel the "umami and soy sauce punch", but here it's just "bland". It lacks depth and makes you wonder if it's really Shinpukusaikan. As for the fried rice in general, it wasn't tasty. You can clearly tell that they use dry rice. It's not fluffy fried rice, but rather dry and lacking moisture, with a strong peppery flavor. It's like someone tried to imitate Shinpukusaikan but accidentally added too much pepper. Honestly, it's not appetizing at all. Overall, if you're in Tokyo, I recommend going to Azabu-Juban for a delicious meal. If you're thinking of going to this branch, I highly recommend Azabu-Juban instead.

I found a Chinese soba and black fried rice in Kyoto while running in the morning. I was curious about it during the day, so I decided to have it for dinner. There was a seat available right away, so I sat down and ordered immediately. I ordered the regular Chinese soba and black fried rice. The order was quick, and so was the service. I finished eating in no time, and from the moment I entered the restaurant to the moment I left, it didn't even take 20 minutes. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I was taken to a restaurant known for its delicious ramen during a business trip. I ordered a regular ramen and a small fried rice for 1100 yen. I vaguely remember the taste from when I ate at a place next to Kyoto Station in the past, but I feel like the main branch was tastier. The fried rice was unexpectedly spicy.
