This time, both of us had the "Crab Kaiseki" course, with my wife choosing the "Full Moon" (9,900 yen) and myself choosing the "Morning Sun" (5,500 yen). The courses we had previously tried were no longer available, perhaps they are regularly updated? <Full Moon> - Two types of peeled crab (Snow crab and King crab) - Crab sashimi - Crab chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) - Grilled crab miso in the shell - Crab tempura - Crab rice - Red miso soup - Pickles - Dessert (choice of warabimochi) <Morning Sun> - Crab appetizers (Crab vinegar and crab appetizers) - Crab sashimi - Crab chawanmushi - Soup - Crab tempura - Crab sushi - Clear soup - Dessert (choice of coffee jelly) Crab always tastes delicious no matter when you eat it. The refreshing taste of crab vinegar, the rich flavor of crab sashimi, and the intense aroma of crab miso. The coffee jelly dessert was not too sweet, with a slightly bitter taste, making it a perfect way to end the meal. If my wife mentions craving crab again, I will definitely revisit.

Before it gets too hot, my family wanted to eat crab together, so we made a reservation through Tabelog and decided to order a la carte instead of a set course. We arrived around 15 minutes early for our reservation at 5:00 PM on a Sunday, and were promptly shown to a private room. We ordered some dishes that take time to prepare, such as whole boiled crab, crab tofu dumplings, and crab kamameshi rice. The whole boiled snow crab (large size) was priced at 17,000 yen, and the price for a smaller size was not specified. Our favorite dishes include whole boiled snow crab, crab sashimi, and flower ice taraba crab. While I usually enjoy draft beer, I've recently been hooked on crab sake, so I like to top up my empty glass with an additional serving of junmai sake "Doraku" (dry) (1 cup) to enjoy with my meal. Both the crab and the sake tasted delicious as always.

My wife turned 60 in July. Since I couldn't dress her in a red baby kimono, I decided to at least treat her to something red for lunch. So, we went to "Kani Doraku" Senkawa branch. I had never visited Kani Doraku before, so that may have been the reason for this outing. We opted for the lunch course, the Kani Gozen Ariake, as dinner there can be quite expensive. Even with drinks, it cost us over 10,000 yen for two people. The dishes were all delicious and the service was at a good level. The sweet tea served at the end was particularly tasty. If I were to spend the same amount of money, I would probably be more satisfied with eating meat, but it's nice to switch things up once in a while. Although, it might start becoming a habit like eating fugu.

I feel like going to Kani Doraku! Sometimes I just crave for some crab miso sushi haha. I really want to eat a lot of crabs too, but for no reason, I can't have them (; ;) So I'll add the Akemi & crab miso sushi to this lunch course. It's packed with crab miso and it's a great deal for around ¥2000, so satisfying! I also like crab croquettes and crab gratin! Even my friend who said they didn't like crab miso, ended up enjoying it! It's a bit of a luxurious mama friends' lunch, but... When I want to eat snow crabs, I have to come with the sponsor haha.

This is a crab specialty store located along the Koshu Kaido road, towards Koshu Kaido from Sengawa Station on the Keio Line. I had crab gratin and crab cream croquettes, and I was very satisfied. The matcha ice cream was delicious as well. You should definitely try the extra cold beer. The crab course meal included peeled boiled crabs (snow crab and king crab), crab sashimi, crab chawanmushi, crab miso grilled in the shell, crab tempura, crab rice cooked in a pot, red miso soup, pickles, and dessert.

I enjoyed a relaxing full moon course menu in a private room. I indulged in boiled snow crab and king crab. The king crab had a satisfying texture and the snow crab legs were sweet and delicious as sashimi. The steamed egg custard was hot and tasty. The crab miso was grilled in the kitchen and had a smooth and delicious flavor. The tempura was crispy and good, although I would have preferred to eat it with salt. The rice cooked in a pot was also incredibly delicious. It was a very satisfying course overall!

In these times, personally, I don't have the luxury to indulge in crab, but I visited with some friends who are crab enthusiasts. With the current world situation being tense due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I understand that crab fishing near the Russian-controlled Northern Territories is difficult. We made a reservation for the "Crab Kaiseki Full Moon" set menu. - Crab Kaiseki Full Moon - Boiled and peeled crabs (Snow crab, King crab) Crab sashimi Crab chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) Grilled crab miso Crab tempura Crab rice in a pot Red miso soup Pickles Dessert - Boiled and peeled crabs - Eating boiled and peeled crabs is the best way to enjoy them. The portion seemed smaller, but the crab meat was delicious with a great sweetness and texture. - Crab tempura - Hmm, it feels a bit lonely with only one piece of crab tempura. The rest are unexpected, with turnip tempura, pumpkin tempura, and seaweed tempura. Tempura crab offers a different flavor experience, with thin but tasty meat. Considering the current world situation, it's understandable.

I decided to title this review "Mom's Birthday Party" since the previous review was for "Dad's Birthday Party" (lol). Originally, we planned to celebrate my dad's birthday the previous Sunday, but the restaurant was fully booked, so we had to postpone it by a week. I suggested a few other restaurants, but my sister insisted on having crab! So, we pushed it back a week and celebrated my dad's birthday instead. When I asked which restaurant she preferred, she simply said, "Anywhere is fine" or "I'll leave it up to you." It's much better when someone clearly says they want crab, even if we have to wait a week. That's my sister for you (lol). We made a reservation for 6:00 pm on Sunday. I arrived 10 minutes early, while my family, led by my sister, arrived right at 6:00 pm. We were shown to a private room and started with drinks. We had draft and bottled beer, lemon sour, cola, and cider. Cola for crab? Kids these days are different. When we sat down, my sister immediately said, "Have you lost weight?" It was the first time someone had noticed! I lost about 5kg. She said, "You used to be so bloated around your chest." She noticed even though I didn't lose weight, I just toned up, it's still nice to be acknowledged. Drinks arrived, "Oh, happy birthday! Wow, you're getting old. How much longer do you think you'll live? Nice watch, did I give you that for your 60th birthday?" (laughs) "Live a long life, aim for 100, you have 17 more years." That seems impossible. 17 more years, even I can't do that. Now, the course we chose was the "Unsui" course (6,050 yen). It's one of the cheaper courses at Kanidouraku, but it includes the crab gratin, crab tempura, and crab rice that I and my niece love. During the pandemic, we used to go for lunch with friends or with family like this, but wow, they raised the prices. There used to be crab sashimi for both lunch and dinner, and the number of crab vinegar servings... decreased! The crab salad is gone, replaced by some kind of jelly, which was okay. The crab gratin was the usual quality, delicious! The chawanmushi lacked more crab flavor. The crab tempura, the most delicious, but much smaller! The crab rice was the usual quality. The famous Kanidouraku card service ended a year ago. Well, it can't be helped, I guess. The atmosphere and ambiance, the intangible sense of gratitude, are what this restaurant is known for. But I wish they would put more effort into the crab dishes. I used to be much more satisfied before! Thank you for the meal. It's my mom's birthday party at the end of this month. Speaking of which, on the way back from my mom's birthday party last year, there was a joker smoking on the Keio Line, which almost made it impossible for us to take the train back. It's been a year since then. No wonder both my dad and I are getting older.

In late February, I made a reservation to visit "Kani Doraku," located about a 2-minute walk from Seikawa Station on the Keio Line, on a Sunday at 1:00 pm. I was guided to my seat by a staff member in a kimono and found the spacious and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant to be quite pleasant. I ordered a beer first, and the staff kindly covered my belongings with a cloth to keep them clean. For my meal, I ordered the "Ariake" crab set meal, which included a variety of dishes such as a crab vinegar salad, crab chawanmushi, crab tempura, and crab kamameshi. The food was served gradually but was all delicious and highlighted the taste of crab. The kamameshi, in particular, was served piping hot and had a wonderful aroma. The staff provided excellent service with a smile and were attentive throughout the meal. I finished off my meal with a delicious red miso soup and pickles. Overall, I had a great dining experience at "Kani Doraku" and would recommend their lunch crab set meals for a variety of occasions. The restaurant's elegant and spacious setting made for a delightful meal.

Last year, I went to this restaurant called "Doraku" for my mom's birthday, which is close to my parents' house. The nieces loved this place when we came here for my mom's birthday last year. Unfortunately, today is the last day my beloved Doraku Customers Card is valid, as the card service is ending. It's a bit sad. From now on, it's basically a 10% price increase. I also noticed they raised prices subtly, especially at night, when I had lunch with my old man friends at the Shibuya branch earlier this month to celebrate the end of the pandemic. I went to "Kani Doraku," a restaurant I have loved since long ago, for the first time in a while. It is located about a 3-minute walk from Keio Line Sengawa Station. It is conveniently located along the Koshu Kaido with parking available. The menu has a wide variety of options. My favorite, "kani suki," is a must-try, but the crab tempura, crab sushi, and crab miso sushi are also essential! Since alcohol is not served at the moment, I toasted with a non-alcoholic beer. The crab tempura is always amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the "kani suki," including the vegetables, rice cakes, and finishing with the porridge. I made a reservation, but it seems there are few private rooms, so it was disappointing to sit at a table. Next time, I want to indulge in crab in a private room. Thank you for the meal!

Today is my birthday, so my wife made a reservation for us! It's been a while since I had crab! It was delicious with various ways to eat it! I especially liked the grilled crab! Of course, the crab hot pot was also delicious! Lastly, the staff made us porridge with the remaining broth! It was so tasty!

If you want to eat crab in Tokyo, I think Kanidouraku is the best choice. There are high-end restaurants as well, but in terms of cost performance, this place is really good. We ordered a seasonal course this time and were able to eat a lot of crab until we were full. Truly a Kanidouraku experience!

I had crab for New Year's ♥️ This was my first time at this restaurant! I called to make a reservation the day before, but they said they were fully booked... However, they told me I could still get a spot if I came in person, so I went right when they opened. I had the lunch set with flower-shaped sushi rolls and grilled snow crab on the side ♥️ I was so focused on picking out the crab meat! There were several lunch options, and I preferred the crab rice pot over the sushi rolls and the crab tempura over the crab croquette, so I chose the flower-shaped sushi rolls! The staff took care of us like they were from Kisoji ♥️ It was okay for me to take my time picking out the crab meat! The grilled snow crab was the most delicious ♥️♥️ The crab was sweet and fluffy, with a nice crispy texture! I had grilled crab wrapped in newspaper from some Hokkaido place near Yoyogi Park last year, but grilled crab is still the best, right? (´Д｀)♥️ I prefer grilling over hot pot! Honestly, I don't think I would have been satisfied with just the lunch set... I had to order the grilled snow crab as well! I wish they had a branch in Machida, where I could enjoy some drinks too! The view was of a grass bank? I received a lucky charm of a wild boar, which was nice ♥️

Attended a family year-end party in December 2018. Last year, it was so crowded that it was difficult to make a same-day reservation, so I made a reservation a month in advance. Reserved for the 11:30 opening. The entrance sign had the names of reserved guests... including our family's name. Kind of embarrassing (laughs). Upon entering, we were guided to a private room. It's nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely meal in this kind of atmosphere. It felt like a private version of Umenohana. After much deliberation, we decided on the Taraba (King Crab) course and added a few extras to settle our end-of-year family meeting harmoniously (*^^*) Taraba Course: Vinegar Crab, Crab Gratin, Fried Crab, Crab Sushi, Dessert. A crab feast. Just looking at the menu makes your stomach growl. Having beer for lunch is an adult privilege at the end of the year. Ordered an Extra Cold beer and added some appetizers. Let's start with a toast. The appetizers could have been declined, but the spinach ohitashi with crab was... all about crab. First, the Vinegar Crab. You can choose between sweet vinegar and double vinegar sauce. The tool for extracting crab meat from Kani Doraku makes it very easy and convenient to use. Personally, I found the boiled crab dipped in double vinegar sauce to be quite delicious. Next, the Crab Sashimi. The completely raw one had a melt-in-your-mouth texture that was delicious. As for the seared one, the crispy texture and aroma were irresistible. The grilled crab is brought to your table with charcoal, allowing you to grill it to your liking. We asked for grilling tips from the staff and grilled the shell side first, followed by the meat. The moisture was nicely removed, intensifying the sweetness, and it was delicious. The Fried Crab was surprisingly large for tempura, and definitely worth trying. The Crab Sushi was packed with crab as well. We also ordered the Crab Croquette (no photo) as an additional item, and my partner's favorite, the Crab Shell with Crab Miso, a must-have for a sake appetizer menu. The Crab Chawanmushi was ordered as well. The crab miso was delicious. The combination of umami, aroma, and bitterness is the best. Despite being filled with crab dishes, we had a happy time thanks to the delicious food, pleasant atmosphere, and attentive service. We will definitely come back!

I was able to spend a special day in a calm private room environment. It is not cheap, but there is a sense of excitement that you cannot get at Kura Sushi's crab fair. However, the multi-level parking lot is narrow, and depending on the car model, it can be challenging.

Whenever I eat it, crab is always delicious. Kanidouraku is consistently tasty!

I visited for a reward lunch. I ordered the following lunch menu. I was excited to enjoy crab, but there was only a little bit of crab on each dish, so I couldn't really taste the flavor of crab. I felt like I didn't really get to eat crab. I thought I should have splurged a little more. Different women assisted us with the service, but each one was very polite, kind, thoughtful, and made us feel comfortable during the meal. Next time, I want to try a better course! The crab here is definitely the best! I visited on my birthday. You can have as many croquettes as you like for a crab taste comparison. The soup for the hot pot is elegant and I always end up drinking it all. The Eho-maki roll is also delicious, so I feel like visiting again around that time.

I felt like eating crab, so I went. The stability is unbeatable. I end up wanting to order this and that, and if I order various items, it can get quite expensive. But if you order a course meal, you can enjoy a satisfying meal at a leisurely pace.

I forgot what course it was, but the 2600 yen one haha. If you have this for lunch, you'll be satisfied. The kamameshi is delicious, the gratin is delicious, the tempura is delicious. Kanidouraku always has a consistent taste no matter when you go. But now I feel like eating ramen haha.
