I had always wanted to go to this restaurant but couldn't make a reservation, so I couldn't go. This time, there were only 3 other guests and we were able to enter smoothly. We ordered the chef's choice course and added liver as an extra, which was the perfect finish! They asked how we wanted the liver cooked, and we chose rare. It was really delicious being rare.

Yes, I love it. It's hard to explain what makes it so special, but it's a place that feels very "old Tokyo" and has an adult atmosphere. You can enjoy carefully grilled chicken skewers over charcoal, sip on cold sake served at room temperature, and finish with grilled rice balls and chicken soup. The staff are attentive without being overbearing. As long as "Takeshi" and this place are around, Ginza is in good hands... Well, maybe my guarantee doesn't mean much, but still. For specific details about the dishes, please refer to the photos or comments section. A great restaurant.

The restaurant run by the master is a wonderful yakitori place. The interior is so charming that you might forget you're in Ginza. This time, I left it up to the chef. Starting with a draft beer! It's rare that they serve tebasaki (chicken wings) first. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) are small but delicious, and the liver is amazing. The shiitake mushrooms are packed with meat and incredible. They sell beer by the glass, and I ended up drinking two draft beers and a shandy lemon. I ate and drank so much, and it only cost around 5,000 yen per person! The cost performance is incredible!

I really like it. It feels melancholic. For some reason, I feel like I can hear "live~" in the background. The yakitori dishes are all amazing, especially the skewers with heart and soup-filled onigiri as a closer. The additional liver we ordered was also delicious. The grated radish with egg and pickled vegetables are perfect for cleansing the palate. The draft beer and chilled Yamanashi sake were also a hit at the restaurant, and I was able to get pleasantly drunk.

I visited Torimasa in Higashi-Ginza. The exterior and interior of the restaurant have a retro feel, with a simple counter seating layout. It exudes a Showa-era charm. Next to it is the popular yakitori restaurant, Takumasa, which always has a line outside. I tried the omakase course which included grated daikon, pickles, salted radish, chicken wings, tsukune, gizzard, half-cooked liver, cartilage, white meat, chicken tail, and chicken soup to finish. The yakitori was delicious and nostalgic, offering a taste of the good old Showa era. It's a good place to enjoy some classic yakitori in a cozy atmosphere.

Located almost halfway between Ginza Station and Higashi-Ginza Station, along Ginza Sambashi Street, is a nostalgic yakitori restaurant with a rustic charm. The omakase course of 7 skewers is fantastic, with excellent quality of ingredients and grilling technique. The atmosphere is cozy with a Showa-era style counter seating for 7, where regular customers gather to enjoy drinks and food. The two friendly older gentlemen who run the place make even solo diners feel welcome. The pickles served alongside the skewers are perfectly balanced, and the classic dish of grated daikon with quail eggs is a must-try. The skewers include items like negima, liver, heart, and tsukune, all cooked to perfection with delicious sauce and seasoning. The fresh liver and heart skewers were particularly tasty. The meal ends with delicious burnt rice and chicken soup, providing a comforting and satisfying finish. Overall, this yakitori restaurant in the heart of Ginza offers a great dining experience with its flavorful skewers and inviting atmosphere.

I went to a restaurant without a reservation on a day when I felt like eating delicious yakitori and I was completely satisfied. The menu included liver and ginkgo nuts, draft beer, shochu, and soda for a total of 7,300 yen. The old-fashioned interior with only a counter was full of solo diners. The chicken hearts were especially delicious, with a great texture. It was a shame they didn't have grilled tomatoes. I will definitely go back again.

The meals are always chef's choice. Alcohol is sold by the bottle and customers can pour their own drinks. The owner may seem intimidating at first, but he is very friendly and runs the restaurant with his son. Despite its traditional atmosphere, the restaurant is welcoming to all, including young couples and solo female diners. The food is delicious and the ambiance is very comfortable.

⭐️Omakase set with 7 skewers including wings, tsukune, heart, neck bone, stuffed shiitake, and bonjiri. The rice skewer and chicken bone soup were also delicious. The wings that came out first were surprisingly juicy, tender, and full of chicken flavor. After trying them, I knew that all the yakitori to follow would be delicious, and I was right. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with a small space that adds to the charm. I will definitely visit again!

A restaurant in Ginza that embodies the Showa era with its grilled chicken. Visited with a foodie friend who recommended it over the neighboring restaurant, Mucchan. - A simple shop with only a counter. - The meat is substantial and dense, giving a satisfying feeling when eating. - Both the grilled chicken and the service are straightforward and recommended, especially the white liver and chicken wings. The pickles served on the side have a good acidity. The chef explains each part of the chicken, but it's too quiet to hear clearly. If you expect friendliness, you might prefer going to Yamanchan next door. - Appetizer: Sliced raw chicken ○ - Radish with quail egg for palate cleansing - Pickles ◎ Homemade bran pickles with cucumber, carrot, and cabbage - Chicken wings ○ Hot and crispy, perfect for nibbling on the bones. - Chicken meatball with green onion ○ Tastes great dipped in the provided spicy miso. - Liver ◎ You can choose how well done you want it. Rare is recommended, and the perfectly cooked liver is a delicacy. - Shiitake mushroom ○ - Tail meat ○ - Chicken soup and grilled rice ○ Extremely hot, be careful not to burn yourself. The small portion of rice for the end of the meal has a simple and unpretentious charm.

When I was drinking shochu with soda and wanted to switch to water, the staff offered to prepare a new glass for me. That was impressive. The skewers were delicious. I will definitely go back with friends.

I went to a restaurant to have yakitori. It was before 8 pm on a weekday, with only one group of customers before me and no one after me. The menu seems to be mainly a set of 7 skewers. Here are the items I tried:
- Chicken wings: Juicy with crispy skin, delicious.
- Tsukune (chicken meatballs): Firm texture with a sharp sauce, very tasty.
- Heart: Very tender and good, both chewy and soft heart are delicious.
- Liver: Rare liver, bouncy and delicious.
- Cartilage
- Shishito peppers
- I forgot the last one, but I think it was a fatty meat skewer paired with white leeks.
They also served chicken soup grilled rice balls, which was a nice way to finish the meal. The soup was light and easy to drink.
They offered "drink as much as you order" for Oolong Highball, so I had about 4 glasses (equivalent to 2 bottles of Oolong tea). With plenty to drink and the set of 7 skewers, the total bill was exactly 5000 yen, which I think is a good value for money.
If you like old-school, retro yakitori places, I recommend this place.

☆Peta (tail tip), tebasaki (chicken wings), sekan (back liver)☆ Ordered for a total of 850 yen. The prices are not listed on the menu, so I was worried it would be very expensive, but it turned out to be relatively reasonable. First, the peta was incredibly delicious. It had a salty and light taste, but the quality of the meat and the cooking were exquisite. Compared to the highly rated "Buchan" next door, the taste here is much better. Sekan was a first for me, and although it had a strong liver flavor, even as someone who usually prefers salt, I found the sauce to be delicious! Tebasaki looked good, but the taste was average. Overall, everything was delicious. I now want to try other items on the menu.

The owner recommended a course of dishes that were all delicious and satisfying. I enjoyed making my own highball, and the atmosphere was perfect for a salaryman to unwind after work. Many solo diners were present, and the close seating made it easy to strike up a conversation with the owner. I would love to visit again when I have the chance.

I visited Torimasa, a restaurant in Ginza that was highly praised by a favorite novelist of mine. It is located next to Ginza Mitsukoshi. I visited around 7 pm on a weekday and was relieved to find a seat available. The chef, along with a younger staff member, were working in front of us. I chose the omakase course and enjoyed a draft beer while waiting, snacking on grated daikon with quail egg and pickles. The spicy chicken wing meatball with leeks and chicken liver was excellent, with large and tender pieces full of flavor. I also tried the chicken cartilage and shishito peppers. When I was about to finish, I was asked if I wanted to try the soup, so I ordered the egg soup, which was delicious. Overall, it was a bit pricey, but the quality was top-notch. Thank you for the meal!

Ginza is a restaurant with a long history located behind the Daio Paper Building. It's been about 20 years since I last visited, but I wonder if the owner and staff are still doing well. Inside the small entrance, there is a counter in an L-shape with around 10 seats. The restaurant's specialty is the meticulous work done by the craftsmen. They carefully select ingredients, pay attention to every detail, and cater to those who love yakitori and sake without being too pushy. In that sense, it can be said that this is a restaurant for adults. My favorite seat is at the back of the counter. From there, I can watch the chefs grilling the skewers and observe the behavior of the seasoned drinkers. While there may be many other great restaurants in Ginza, I believe this place captures the essence of a yakitori restaurant in Ginza the best. Whether you order the chef's choice or individual skewers, the sauce is always delicious. The grilled items are made with high-quality ingredients, but the specialties are the chicken soup and mini kiritanpo, which is not an exaggeration to say. (In my opinion, it's a choice between the dry curry from Torishige and the soup & kiritanpo from this restaurant). Dip the crispy mini kiritanpo into the hot chicken soup to finish your meal. The fragrant burnt rice and the rich flavor of the chicken soup are gentle on the stomach. It's been a while since I last visited, so I think I'll stop by alone and see how the restaurant is doing.

I went with a friend and had the chef's choice yakitori set with 2 extra skewers, beer, and two hot sakes. The liver was especially delicious, perfectly grilled. The total came out to less than 6,000 yen per person. The restaurant is located near Mitsukoshi, across from Oji Paper. Considering the location, I think it's reasonably priced. Thank you for the meal.

It's been a while since I visited, and today it was the head chef cooking instead of the son. Overall, the seasoning seems a bit light, but still delicious. I'm curious about the duck and crispy skin that other regulars were ordering.

I have always loved this yakitori restaurant, which I visit for stomach preparation before drinking in earnest. The staff, including the master, hardly speak, but they do a great job. The cramped counter can fit a maximum of about 10 people. Just the fact that there is such a shop behind Ginza Mitsukoshi makes it valuable. Of course, the yakitori is delicious! Especially when they grill the liver rare after properly removing the blood, it's absolutely exquisite. You can keep eating as they grill whatever they recommend. This place may not be suitable for those looking for a wide variety of alcohol or service.
