Located about a 5-minute walk from Gotanda Station. I visited this place about a year ago and the experience left a lasting impression, so I decided to come back. I was amazed to see how much it has evolved since my last visit, with creative touches evident throughout. Not to mention, they now offer the rare Awaji Jidori chicken, along with other delicious dishes that made me smile uncontrollably. The course I had this day was priced at 5800 yen, which is an incredible value. Here is what I had: 1. Steamed eggplant with shiso and Tosazu jelly with ginger paste. 2. Fried chicken heart with green chili for a crispy double punch. 3. Truffle chawanmushi with a strong truffle aroma. 4. Shingen chicken thigh with a firm texture. 5. Tsukune made with Shingen chicken and Awaji Jidori chicken - a luxurious dish. 6. Chicken heart and liver - both with a great texture and no unpleasant taste. 7. Green pepper from Tanaka Farm in Hokkaido. 8. Two types of cartilage - breast cartilage and knee cartilage, each with a unique crunchy texture. 9. 15-ingredient salad with various cooking methods. 10. Shingen chicken liver - rich in umami without any unpleasant smell. 11. Awaji Jidori chicken upper thigh - crispy skin and juicy meat. 12. Poached egg with sumashi butter and karasumi powder on toast - a decadent combination. 13. Stomach in a pot - using one for four servings. 14. Awaji Jidori chicken wing tips - uniquely shaped and packed with flavor. 15. Additional harami (skirt steak). 16. Choice of three main dishes - I chose the American curry rice. 17. Choice of three desserts - I chose peach shaved ice with muscat jelly. The accompanying drink was a "Hero" soda mixed with unfiltered sake. Despite being a yakitori restaurant, they have a sommelier who provides detailed and accurate explanations. The place was almost full on this day, showing how much it has evolved. The cooking technique perfectly captures the flavor and juiciness of the chicken.

This was my second visit to the restaurant. The first time I came, they had a unique wine that I really liked, which led to a great conversation with the sommelier. From there, it was all about enjoying wine and wanting to eat yakitori here. They focus on natural wines, and they offer popular varieties by the glass as well as interesting ones upon request. There are two course options to choose from, and even the "Takumi Course" (4,620 yen) left me quite full. The appetizers often feature dishes made with fresh figs, and I especially loved the fig salad with balsamic vinegar. The chicken was excellent this time, unlike the last time when the salt was too strong. The quail eggs with a half-cooked yolk are a must-try for egg lovers. I added the soboro rice bowl with quail eggs as an extra dish since it's not included in the Takumi Course, and it was so satisfying. I'm already a repeat customer, but I will definitely be going back again. *On this day, I learned for the first time that this restaurant is part of the same group as another one I've been to.

First visit. Makanai in Gotanda was incredibly delicious!! The cost performance was also great. It takes about 5 minutes from Gotanda station, but reservations are relatively easy to make. The tebasaki (chicken wings) and tsukune (chicken meatballs) were high-quality dishes. I would love to come back anytime! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

The liver appetizer was deliciously tender. I enjoyed the fig and white miso salad, but it would have been even better if it was served warmer. The skewered heart was also very tasty. The Sichuan pepper gin and tonic was refreshing and to my liking. The atmosphere was calm and elegant, and the staff were friendly in a pleasant way. It was good value for the quality of food. Thank you for the meal. There was a sommelier present, so I would like to try the wine next time.

This is a well-known yakitori restaurant in the Gotanda area. It has been open for a long time and is always busy. I revisited after several years and ordered the premium course. The side dishes and yakitori were all delicious. Especially the salt-grilled yakitori was outstanding. They also had shichimi pepper and yuzukosho on the table, which was a nice touch. The karasumi (bottarga) and egg appetizer is highly recommended. They have a good selection of wine and sake, and I chose a glass of wine from their recommended options. Just be aware that the prices for the glass of wine are not listed on the menu. It was a stylish atmosphere and delicious yakitori. Thank you for the treat!

A small, clean and welcoming yakitori restaurant in Gotanda. They offer only two courses on the menu, and I reserved the premium course which includes appetizers, main dishes like tantan noodles, and desserts like mango shaved ice. The yakitori was delicious, but surprisingly, the appetizers like fig and duck, and the in-between dishes like egg and karasumi were also very tasty. You can choose from dishes like oyakodon, chicken soboro rice bowl, tantan noodles, and desserts like rich pudding or seasonal shaved ice. Overall, it was a satisfying experience not just because of the yakitori, but also because of the variety of delicious dishes. The service was friendly and attentive. A restaurant that met my preferences.

I visited "Torikuchi" in Gotanda for the first time and ordered the ultimate course. The appetizer was delicious grilled chicken skewers with 7 varieties, which were excellent! For the main dish, I chose the tantanmen noodles. I enjoyed high-quality grilled chicken slowly at the stylish counter inside the restaurant. The atmosphere was great, perfect for enjoying a meal while having a leisurely conversation. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal. Visit Date: 20th July 2023.

Gotanda Torikuchi is my current favorite yakitori restaurant in the area. Since my previous go-to spot, Torikado, closed down, I had been struggling to find a new place that was delicious, had a good atmosphere, and was convenient to visit. But recently, I discovered my new favorite spot at Torikuchi. It's easy to make reservations, has a great ambiance, offers good value for money, and most importantly, the food is delicious. It's a trusted restaurant affiliated with Torishashi, and the casual yet welcoming atmosphere makes it perfect for both dates and meals with friends. I recently tried the ¥7,150 "Goku Course," which included 4 appetizers, 7 skewers of yakitori, seasonal vegetables, egg with karasumi, a main dish, and dessert. The seasonal vegetables were zucchini, the main dish was oyakodon and tantanmen, and for dessert, I had melon shaved ice and pudding. The food was even better than I expected, and the quality, value, and atmosphere of the restaurant were all top-notch. The chicken wings were deboned for easy eating, which was a nice touch. Some rare items like chouchin skewers tend to sell out quickly, so it's best to call ahead if you want to add them to your order. Overall, I highly recommend Torikuchi to anyone visiting the Shinagawa, Meguro, or Gotanda area. #Torikuchi #TokyoGourmet #TokyoYakitori #Gotanda #GotandaGourmet #TokyoDinner #GotandaDinner #GotandaYakitori #Meguro #MeguroGourmet #MeguroDinner #MeguroYakitori #Gourmet #ShirokaneGourmet #ShirokaneTakanawaGourmet #Yakitori #foodie #tokyofood #placetovisit #tokyofoodie

Located about a 7-8 minute walk from Gotanda Station, this yakitori restaurant was fully booked when I arrived for my 8:00 PM reservation. The atmosphere was very stylish and lacked the typical yakitori restaurant feel in a good way. The yakitori was grilled right in front of us and served piping hot. Each skewer had a refined flavor and was tender, making it very delicious. They had a wide variety of wines, including orange wine, which paired very well with the yakitori. I thought it was a great place for a date.

I wasn't expecting much, but my friend took me to their favorite restaurant. It was really delicious! The chicken wings were deboned, so juicy and incredibly tasty. I love chicken neck meat, it had a good chew and great flavor. I was so happy. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I was taken to this restaurant by a business partner for a dinner meeting. They said it's the best yakitori restaurant in the Gotanda area, and I must say, the juicy meat was truly impressive. The tsukune (chicken meatball) was especially delicious. The spicy tan-tan noodles for dessert and the bento box as a souvenir were also tasty, so I highly recommend them. #GotandaGourmet #TokyoGourmet #DeliciousRestaurant #Foodie #Yakitori #YakitoriRestaurant #Torikuchi #YakitoriBento #BusinessDinner

I had delicious yakitori for the first time in a while. The yakitori, painstakingly grilled by the chef, was truly amazing. It was tender inside, and the flavor of the chicken spread in my mouth. It was so delicious that it went well with wine. I added two more yakitori skewers with the artisan course. I started with draft beer and had five glasses of wine, finishing with barley shochu on the rocks. On a weekday after work, being able to indulge in such luxury made me feel truly happy from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for the feast!

The counter restaurant is clean and has a wonderful atmosphere. Each item is carefully grilled, so you can enjoy them one by one. The dessert melon shaved ice was amazing. It's casual with good value for money, but can also be used for formal occasions or dates.

The counter is very calm and cozy. It's great for a date or meal with friends as it's easy to talk. The staff is friendly and you can easily consult them for wine choices. The parent and child rice bowl for the finale is just the right size, so you can enjoy eating a good amount of skewers. It's no problem for men.

Even at late hours, the place is always crowded as usual, showing its popularity. The cost performance is excellent, and adding a little extra to the course makes you feel satisfied. Desserts are also included in the course. It's very convenient that you can easily make a reservation even at the last minute.

I entered the restaurant and sat at a table towards the back. The course meal was satisfying and filling. The dishes that came out in the beginning were all beautifully presented and delicious. I was already quite satisfied at this point. The yakitori was great, but the winner of the day was the crispy bread topped with a poached egg mixture. It was amazing.

Today's Torikuchi-san was delicious as always. You can enjoy reasonably priced yakitori dripping with fat. Thank you to the grill chef working in a place so hot that even sweat evaporates. #ThankYouForTheMeal #JO Co., Ltd. #Gourmet #Yakitori #Osaki Hirokoji #JustBetweenUs #StaffEnjoyedIt #That'sAllFromTheScene

I was looking for a restaurant that accepts online reservations even on Sundays, and I ended up visiting this place where I had made a reservation beforehand. There were two seats at the counter, and a server with a sommelier badge asked about our wine preferences, then lined up several wines on the counter and explained each one's characteristics before letting us choose. My wine-loving wife was also very satisfied. The yakitori was thick and delicious. For the final meal, we chose from oyakodon, soboro don, and tantanmen. They even asked if we wanted to add quail eggs to the soboro don. For dessert, we could choose between pudding, ginger pine, or shaved ice. The yakitori was plentiful, so the final rice dish was on the smaller side, but it was just the right size.

On this day, I had a meal with two friends at a stylish restaurant located about a 5-minute walk from Gotanda Station towards the TOC direction, right after crossing the Meguro River. Upon opening the door, we were greeted by a large counter that created an impressive atmosphere. We had reserved a private room in the back for the Omakase course priced at 4,620 yen. The meal included 4 appetizers, with the spring rolls being particularly delicious. There were also 7 grilled dishes, such as juicy and tasty yakitori. Since we were in a private room, the skewers took a bit longer to be served. We enjoyed items like chicken meatballs, thick-fried tofu, and chicken liver. We also added a dessert of pudding, made with high-quality eggs and very delicious. All three of us opted for non-alcoholic drinks, so the bill was quite reasonable.

The yakitori was delicious, and the appetizers were also very well prepared. I asked for a Riesling wine and was given explanations about three different options to choose from. It wasn't a common brand, but the quality was excellent and the wine bar was top-notch.

In the Craftsman Course, I added liver and pudding at the end. The four small plates of appetizers showed good taste. The yuzu daikon grated radish was a nice palate cleanser. The recommended items are quail, liver, and tsukune. They were tender and delicious. The salt sauce comes as a surprise. However, it was a bit too salty. I recommend pairing it with red wine and white wine. Enjoy it at the counter.
