Friday night at the flower (do people still say that?). Met up with a former colleague to catch up on each other's lives. We have this meeting once a year. Every time, my colleague gets to choose the restaurant. Lately, they have been into draft beers, so they picked this place. I arrived early and decided to have a drink at the counter while waiting. There were 8 draft beer taps in front of me, each with a unique design like deer antlers. Impressive, 8 different draft beers available. I'll wait for my colleague before ordering. Once they arrived, we decided to try three different small draft beers each and share them. Then we tried two more to complete all 8 varieties. My colleague explained the meaning of IPA (India Pale Ale) to me: "IPA stands for India Pale Ale. Despite the name, it wasn't actually born in India. During the age of exploration, the British tried to bring beer to their colonies in India, so they added a lot of hops for preservation, creating this beer style." I see, that's interesting. We also enjoyed a delicious local specialty, shirasu (whitebait) with grated daikon radish. I'll definitely come back here. Thank you for the meal!

Last time I only had beer after a meal, but this time I had a shrimp cutlet burger and a salad with scallops and seaweed for lunch, along with a pint of beer. The salad was a large serving with plenty of vegetables. The addition of scallops and seaweed gave it a seafood salad-like taste, with a slightly salty flavor from the scallops and seaweed evoking a sense of the sea. The shrimp cutlet in the burger tasted just as expected, but the buns seemed to have a hint of sweetness, possibly from honey. The beer was a NEW ENGLAND IPA. I didn't really notice the aroma of yuzu, but it paired well with the meal. After the meal, complimentary coffee was served. This is a place where you can enjoy a meal with beer, and I'd like to visit the main store in Kamikitacho at least once.

I went to the restaurant with my colleagues. The place is not very big, but it has a great atmosphere and quickly filled up. Located at the foot of Tokyo Tower in Minato-ku, it's a beer place where people enjoy their meals and beer without getting too rowdy. We opted for the all-you-can-drink craft beer course, and my two colleagues managed to try all the beers. I dropped out after four glasses, but each one was delicious and enjoyable. The beers were not ice-cold, but had a rich flavor that was perfect for sipping slowly. The food was also a perfect match for the beer, with generous portions and great taste. Since it's close to our office, we will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal.

Craft beer shop with an owner from Tokushima that I had the pleasure of joining today. The Barrel is amazing, full of flavor. The food is also delicious, especially the Shira s pizza with plenty of Tokushima's specialty, Bacasuko. I was impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the Tokyo Tower-like atmosphere.

I wanted to have a light drink before sushi, so I decided to stop by this restaurant that I had been curious about for a while. Since it was a sudden visit, only the terrace seats were available. It's not too hot for this time of year or time of day, so it's not a problem. The inside of the restaurant was very lively, and I wondered if it was a popular place that I just didn't know about. There were a lot of young people. Despite feeling a bit out of place as a middle-aged man nearing 35, I didn't mind and enjoyed my drink. I had two drinks, which was a bit more than just a light drink, but it was all in good fun. The craft beer they specialize in was really good! The second drink was a gin and tonic, which was also delicious! I'm interested in trying more of their dishes next time I go, as the atmosphere left me intrigued.
This is a stylish shop called KAMIKATZ in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture, where you can drink beer and more. It is located on the east side of Azabu, Tokyo Tower is visible from the building's first floor. Tokushima IPA, craft beer, and dishes using Tokushima ingredients are recommended. I visited around 2 pm on a Sunday, so the shop was not crowded. It seemed to be a festival day, as there were children and locals around, but I was able to find a seat without any problems. I ordered the Wagyu Avocado Cheese Burger for 1850 yen. I was torn between that and the roast chicken, but I was drawn to the burger ordered by the person next to me. The beer was definitely delicious, but I was also looking forward to the food as it was said to be delicious and generous in portion. The rumors were true! The buns were crispy and fluffy. The patty, made from Wagyu beef, had a perfect balance of meatiness and flavor. The accompanying potatoes were also very delicious, so I thought I would try something else next time. Thank you for the meal~

Kamikatsu-san is a dog-friendly place with delicious lunch menu. I hadn't been able to go during lunch time for a while, but I managed to stop by during a walk. Today, I ordered the hamburger lunch. It was delicious! It came with miso soup and rice, and I was very satisfied with the meal. There are many options on the lunch menu, so I would like to try something different next time.

I visited this place on a Sunday after returning from Nagoya, looking for a quick dinner nearby. This restaurant offers craft beer, pizza, and burgers. The craft beers here are mostly citrus-flavored, which even someone like me who usually finds beer bitter can enjoy. I ordered the stuffed mushroom, shrimp cutlet burger, and wakame and mushroom pizza based on good reviews. The stuffed mushroom was average, but the wakame and mushroom pizza was delicious! The unique combination of wakame, cheese, and mushrooms worked really well together. The crust of the pizza was like a pastry, with plenty of cheese on top. I will definitely come back for this pizza (although the wakame tasted a bit like the kind you find at a buffet, a bit too salty). The sauce of the shrimp cutlet burger was also very good. Even the fries were tasty! The restaurant is located along a main street, but they also have a cozy terrace where you can relax on a lazy Sunday. I will definitely visit again!

The beer festival event at Tokyo Tower was disappointing, so I only had one drink and left. This place is located about a 5-minute walk from Tokyo Tower. It seems to be a brewery from Tokushima. The interior is stylish and the beer was delicious. I would like to sit on the terrace seat overlooking Route 1 if I have the chance.

Tokyo Tower is beautiful. Taking a break during Golden Week☆ At night, you can enjoy Kamikatsu BREW at a beer bar. I wonder why they opened a shop in this location in Tokyo. In Tokushima, there is also a stylish BREW where you can enjoy BBQ. The interior of the shop is a chic adult space with a cool deer wall hanging and exposed beams. The taps are lined up and the counter is nice too. Recommended dishes include shrimp water dumplings in a cast iron pot Tom Yum, roast chicken stuffed with Kamikatsu shiitake mushrooms, and a pizza with kettle-boiled whitebait. The IPA, New England IPA, and morning summer Lager are all good with a depth of flavor and made with four types of hops. They seem refreshing and nice. They brew craft beer with dedication in a nature-rich place in Kamikatsu-cho. I would like to visit there. The vegetables and meat look delicious too. You can also buy bottled beer as a souvenir. Thank you for the meal.

When I went on a trip to Tokushima and missed buying souvenirs, I found out that Kamikatsu beer can be enjoyed in Tokyo, so I was taken there! There were about 9 beer taps, and you could order from a half glass. The seasonal limited editions were interesting, so it seems like you can enjoy different things depending on when you go. The dishes made with vegetables were all delicious, and I usually eat fried foods or pizza when I drink, but this place really matched my current mood and made me happy. I will definitely visit again.

I went to lunch with my sister. We had a fish burger and enjoyed a variety of beers, including a citrusy one. It was the best lunch beer. Our menu included a tartar fish burger, wagyu beef burger, fried chicken, and 3 beers: beer #2, beer #1, and beer #8.

It's great that dogs are allowed inside during the cold winter. However, the service was disappointing. I was told by a staff member that I could use a larger table, but after I had spread out all my belongings, the same staff member told me to move to a smaller table. They didn't offer to help me with my belongings either. It's winter, so I have a lot of things with me. The same unfriendly staff member didn't bring the menu until I asked. And when they finally brought it, they didn't explain anything. When I decided on my order and told another staff member (who was nice), they said, "Sorry, that item is sold out for today." They should have told me that earlier when they brought the menu. I ended up ordering a different burger. Coffee and tea are self-serve with free refills.

I heard that Kamikatsu Town is a quite sustainable advanced area. Kamikatsu Beer, born from such a town, was really amazing. The shop itself is mostly made from recycled materials, with electricity coming from bottles. It's great. It reminded me of Portland, where I studied as a student. The atmosphere is also very nice. I had the opportunity to meet the president of Kamikatsu Beer on this day, and it was great to hear various stories. I will definitely go back.

Had lunch at KAMIKATZ TAPROOM and tried the Wagyu beef burger. The buns were fluffy, and the patty was juicy and delicious! The onions inside were cooked and flavored, not raw, which was nice. I'm not a fan of spicy raw onions haha. The side of potatoes was crispy and fresh. During lunchtime, you can have unlimited refills of coffee and tea, which was also great! It's located near Tokyo Tower. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, so I'd like to go back for dinner sometime!

Great atmosphere! The inside of the restaurant has a relaxed vibe, with some people enjoying a beer alone at the counter and others having lunch with their families. The fried chicken was incredibly delicious. The pulled pork burger had a sweet and savory flavor that was really tasty. During lunchtime, they offer unlimited refills of several types of tea and coffee, which was a nice surprise. I definitely want to come back!

Visited on a weekend evening. Two adults and a baby in a stroller, we requested outdoor seating. The owner of this restaurant is from Tokushima. The dishes here use plenty of ingredients from Tokushima. The most notable thing is the portion size of the dishes!! It exceeded our expectations based on the price, and the flavor was delicious, so we were happy ^_^ Craft beer may seem a bit pricey, but considering the excellent value of the dishes, it's worth it. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had been curious about Kamikatsu Beer for a while and heard that they have a direct store, so I went there right away. The stout was a dry type and different from what I expected, but I was impressed by the fruit beer, which I usually don't like. It felt like drinking the fruit itself haha. The vegetables were fresh and the burger was delicious. The burger comes with french fries, so if you are ordering just the fries, be careful. The staff seemed busy and didn't notice when I called them, but I was happy with their friendly and flexible response. ^^

Beer lovers should check out this place! You can see Tokyo Tower from here, it's dog-friendly, and it's always bustling with people, including solo diners at the counter. The karaage was delicious! They recommend trying the hamburgers. They have a variety of craft beers, all domestic, including many original options.

RISE & WIN Brewing Co. in Kamikatsu Town, Tokushima Prefecture, is a popular microbrewery in Tokushima where craft beers are gaining popularity. You can enjoy their KAMIKATZ BEER on tap at this place. The location is around halfway between Kamiya-cho and Akabanebashi, where you can see Tokyo Tower if you look up. KAMIKATZ TAPROOM has a counter on the left as you enter, with 8 different taps lined up. There are table seats to the right and in the back. On this day, I sat at the counter and started with a glass of Morning Summer Session New England IPA, which had a refreshing sourness that evoked the morning sunshine. For dinner, a Wagyu beef burger with potatoes was served, topped with bacon on the patty along with tomato, lettuce, and sautéed onions. I took a bite and washed it down with beer. The coarse patty had a wild taste. The potatoes were thin and crispy, perfect for accompanying the beer. Then, onto the second glass, Knock on Wood Pale Ale, which had a unique herbal scent due to aging in cedar wood. It's a distinctive beer that goes down smoothly. There are still many beers I want to try on tap. Drinking outside in the summer sounds nice too!
