Ten days after the last visit that left us shocked, my wife and I decided to visit the restaurant again. We arrived around 1 pm on a weekday and despite the place being almost full, we managed to find one available seat. Once again, we waited for the mother in the kitchen to come out before placing our order. After a short wait, I placed an order for shrimp fried rice, Cantonese noodles, and dumplings. The dishes arrived within 10 minutes, all at once, served by the husband this time. As he placed the dishes on the table, he jokingly said, "I'm getting old, so don't bully me too much, okay?" I didn't quite understand what he meant, but I smiled and nodded. The shrimp fried rice was plentiful, with a generous amount of shrimp and crab sticks, flavored with ginger. The taste was different from the fried rice we had last time, and I wonder if the flavor changes daily or if it was specific to the shrimp fried rice. Regardless, it was delicious. The Cantonese noodles were also served in a large portion with a rich sauce filled with vegetables, kamaboko, mushrooms, and quail eggs. The thin curly noodles held the sauce well and were incredibly tasty. The dumplings were moist and filled with chives, offering a flavorful and satisfying taste. The husband's lively banter in the kitchen continued, and my wife was delighted by the experience. After we finished our meal, three customers who ordered cold noodles had their orders changed to fried rice due to a shortage of noodles, with the husband apologizing to each customer personally. Despite the mix-up, everyone seemed to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. We left the restaurant feeling satisfied and even took some leftovers home for dinner. We hope the restaurant continues to thrive and maintain its unique charm.
