Dinner Course ¥8,800 (tax included) at the yakitori restaurant "Tori Tomi" in Mishuku. Located along Mishuku Street, the restaurant is tucked away a bit, giving it a hidden gem vibe. The interior has only 8 counter seats with the owner running the place solo. The menu consists of a luxurious course priced at ¥8,000, featuring yakitori and sukiyaki prepared by the owner, who previously worked at Torishiki. The first dish, a potato salad, is delicious with tender potatoes and seasoned minced chicken. This is followed by 7 skewers of yakitori, each with unique seasonings like Japanese mustard for chicken neck and sansho pepper oil for shoulder meat. The only vegetable skewer, white asparagus, is fresh and juicy. The meat used is the famous Datte Jidori from the Torishiki group, offering a rich and robust flavor. The next main dish is sukiyaki, starting with chicken wings in the pot, followed by meatballs, vegetables, and seared thigh meat. The soup is a rich and flavorful chicken broth made by simmering Datte Jidori thighs and wings for 15 hours. The vegetables include watercress, bean sprouts, and garlic chives, with the watercress standing out for its strong flavor. The hot pot ingredients are served with homemade ponzu sauce and egg yolk soy sauce, reminiscent of the famous Tamakatsu in Iriya. Finally, we chose ramen as the finishing dish, with a chicken broth ramen that is full of flavor. The total bill for two people, including a few drinks, came to ¥19,500, which seems reasonable for the quality of yakitori and sukiyaki offered. If you're craving yakitori and sukiyaki in the Mishuku area, this is the place to go. 1. Potato Salad 2. Chicken Neck 3. Chicken Heart 4. Fresh Vegetables with Miso Chicken Sauce 5. Chicken Thigh 6.
