Tatsuya, the head chef, trained at Torishikiya and its sister restaurant Torikado before branching out on his own. The restaurant uses Date chicken for their dishes. It is located on the first floor of an apartment building just before the entrance to Setagaya Park, off Sanchoku Street from Route 246. The entrance is a bit hidden, so you might miss it. The interior has only a counter with 10 seats, and the chef runs the place single-handedly. It gets quite busy when full. They only offer a 6000 yen course menu, starting at 6:00 PM. We were one of only four customers when we arrived, but by 7:30 PM it was fully booked. We enjoyed a fair amount of sake, and the bill came to 10000 yen. The yakitori was delicious, so I would like to come back just for that. Of course, the sukiyaki was also very tasty. However, since the main focus is on sukiyaki, it feels like they are not fully utilizing the brand of being a yakitori specialty restaurant under the Torishiki umbrella. The course menu included Aichi duck prosciutto, vegetable platter, grilled chicken breast with wasabi, chicken tail, heart, fruit tomato liver, and chicken wing sukiyaki with added meatball, thigh meat, and chicken wing risotto. Sake selection included Kirei Hitoriki, Sekizen Daishin, Shinshu Saku no Hana, Cicala, and Hokko.

There is a high cost performance yakitori restaurant in Sanshuku. Originally, they focused on sukiyaki dishes, but later shifted to specializing in yakitori. The appetizer was Aichi duck prosciutto, warm potato salad, and 6 skewers of yakitori. They also served pickles, tomatoes with Tosazu vinegar, and sukiyaki-style water-cooked dishes with a finishing touch of mixed rice. Both the yakitori and water-cooked dishes seemed to be of a higher quality than what you would find in Hakata. The water-cooked dish came with a dipping sauce made of ponzu, sukiyaki, sweet soy sauce, and raw egg, which was a personal favorite.

Now only offering omakase courses. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with only 8 counter seats. The chef manages everything alone, hence the limited number of seats. ⭐️Omakase↓ Today's omakase course. Potato salad: What is this~! First time trying potato salad. It's delicious!! I want to eat more. Seseri: The spicy topping is addictive! Hatsu vegetables and chicken: Thick and juicy. Asparagus and gizzard: The crunchy texture is irresistible. Chicken wings: The meat is rich and tasty. Mizutaki: Lettuce, salad, spinach, pea shoots dipped in egg soy sauce. It was a yakitori that exuded meticulousness and sincerity. Although the chef is more on the quiet side, I felt his meticulousness and sincere personality reflected in the yakitori. It was very delicious.

"Toritomi" and "Torikado" are both well-known restaurants specializing in grilled chicken skewers, run by the same owner. At "Toritomi," you can enjoy a course meal featuring both grilled chicken skewers and chicken hot pot. They use fresh Datte chicken, delivered directly from the source without ever being frozen. The Datte chicken has a rich flavor and tender texture, with no unpleasant smell. They offer a rich and flavorful chicken hot pot and fragrant grilled chicken skewers made from this high-quality Datte chicken.

"Toritomi" is a unique restaurant in Sangenjaya that combines grilled chicken skewers with hot pot. The head chef seems to have trained at well-known establishments like Torishiki. The restaurant has only 10 counter seats, and the head chef manages everything on his own. The course includes potato salad, chicken tenderloin with mustard, minced chicken with miso and vegetables, heart, thigh, asparagus, shoulder meat with sansho pepper, thick tofu, gizzard, chicken wings, hot pot, and porridge. You can also add on chicken meatballs. The grilled chicken, made with high-quality chicken, is perfectly cooked and juicy, bursting with the delicious flavor of chicken. The hot pot is rich in chicken essence, and the porridge served at the end is also delicious, especially with added ponzu sauce. It's a great place to enjoy high-quality grilled chicken and hot pot. - Restaurant Name: Toritomi - Google Maps: Toritomi 03-6805-5283 - Nearest Station: 13-minute walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi Station South Exit on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, 13-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station South Exit A on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi Line, 2-minute walk from Mitsuba Bus Stop - Phone Reservations Accepted - Operating Hours: 18:00-23:00 - Closed on Sundays and other days - Reservation: Available - Seating: 8 seats (8 counter seats) - Budget: ¥10,000-¥14,999 - Other Information: No private rooms, no full venue rental, all seats non-smoking, no parking available

Dinner Course ¥8,800 (tax included) at the yakitori restaurant "Tori Tomi" in Mishuku. Located along Mishuku Street, the restaurant is tucked away a bit, giving it a hidden gem vibe. The interior has only 8 counter seats with the owner running the place solo. The menu consists of a luxurious course priced at ¥8,000, featuring yakitori and sukiyaki prepared by the owner, who previously worked at Torishiki. The first dish, a potato salad, is delicious with tender potatoes and seasoned minced chicken. This is followed by 7 skewers of yakitori, each with unique seasonings like Japanese mustard for chicken neck and sansho pepper oil for shoulder meat. The only vegetable skewer, white asparagus, is fresh and juicy. The meat used is the famous Datte Jidori from the Torishiki group, offering a rich and robust flavor. The next main dish is sukiyaki, starting with chicken wings in the pot, followed by meatballs, vegetables, and seared thigh meat. The soup is a rich and flavorful chicken broth made by simmering Datte Jidori thighs and wings for 15 hours. The vegetables include watercress, bean sprouts, and garlic chives, with the watercress standing out for its strong flavor. The hot pot ingredients are served with homemade ponzu sauce and egg yolk soy sauce, reminiscent of the famous Tamakatsu in Iriya. Finally, we chose ramen as the finishing dish, with a chicken broth ramen that is full of flavor. The total bill for two people, including a few drinks, came to ¥19,500, which seems reasonable for the quality of yakitori and sukiyaki offered. If you're craving yakitori and sukiyaki in the Mishuku area, this is the place to go. 1. Potato Salad 2. Chicken Neck 3. Chicken Heart 4. Fresh Vegetables with Miso Chicken Sauce 5. Chicken Thigh 6. White Asparagus 7. Shoulder Meat with Sansho Pepper Oil 8. Chicken Gizzard 9. Chicken Wings 10. Sukiyaki

In Sanshuku, there is a great restaurant. The yakitori, skewers, drinks, and atmosphere were all wonderful. After enjoying plenty of grilled chicken skewers, we had a deliciously rich hot pot and finished with ramen. Although the location is a bit inconvenient, it's a restaurant I definitely want to visit again.

There is a restaurant located about a 10-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station or Ikejiri Ohashi Station. The interior has about 8 counter seats. The owner has experience working at a famous yakitori restaurant in Tokyo. In addition to yakitori, the restaurant is known for its delicious sukiyaki. This time, I was taken there by an acquaintance, so we left the dishes up to the chef. They offer a variety of drinks including sake, beer, wine, and whiskey. The yakitori is made with great attention to detail in terms of ingredients, preparation, and grilling. The charcoal used is also carefully selected. The yakitori is truly delicious. We also tried the sukiyaki, which had a rich and concentrated chicken flavor in the soup, along with tender and flavorful chicken. The fact that the owner manages the restaurant alone is impressive. I would definitely like to visit again.

This yakitori restaurant offers only an omakase course, which includes a rare addition of sukiyaki at the end. It has a calm atmosphere with only counter seats, allowing for a relaxing dining experience. The potato salad served at the beginning was delicious! And the yakitori was not greasy, but rather light and tasty!

There is no way to go wrong with the yakitori restaurant that serves top-notch dishes. Starting with the appetizer potato salad, the minced chicken potato salad was exceptionally delicious. The chicken hot pot served during the course was outstanding as well. The yakitori itself was delicious as always. The selection of wine and sake was also excellent, making the meal even more enjoyable.

I visited the water stew specialty shop "Toritomi," run by the owners of the famous yakitori restaurants "Torishiki" and "Torikado." The owner was handling everything alone, so the atmosphere was busy. The combination of yakitori and water stew is irresistible for bird lovers, and hot pot is perfect for winter. I enjoyed the delicious yakitori and hot pot. Thank you for the meal.

Skewers are easy to eat and addictive in terms of size. It's like sushi, but the ultimate version. The utmost care is taken in preparing them. I used to only go to dirty skewer shops, but the difference in depth is clear with carefully prepared skewers. This restaurant was the trigger for me to start exploring more careful skewer shops (although I haven't started yet).

"Toritomi" is a yakitori restaurant located in the Sanshuku area, just over a 10-minute walk from Sangenjaya Station. The owner honed his skills at renowned chicken cuisine restaurants such as "Torishiki" and "Torikado", but the interesting concept here is the specialty dish "sukiyaki". They use the same producer of chicken as the Torishiki group, called Date chicken. The small restaurant has only 8 counter seats, each equipped with a sukiyaki stove, which is rare for a yakitori restaurant. The alcohol prices are reasonable, and you can enjoy a bottle of wine for around 5,000 yen. The appetizer of pickles is unexpectedly delicious. The owner's training at a Japanese cuisine restaurant is evident in the simple dishes served here. The potato salad is exceptional, with a refined flavor and the savory taste of chicken mince. The most recommended dish is the "bonjiri" yakitori. It is delicious but slightly greasy, so it might be a good starting point. The "hatsu" (chicken heart) is large and has a pleasant texture. It is free of any unique odors, indicating the chicken was healthy. The "tsukune" is made of coarsely ground meat with cartilage, providing a crunchy texture. It is recommended to enjoy this skewer without the usual egg yolk sauce. The asparagus has a fresh texture, and the preparation is evident in its smooth bite. The "sasami" (chicken tenderloin) is well-cooked with a crispy surface, making it flavorful. Squeeze some lemon juice over it to enhance the rich meat juices. The highlight is the sukiyaki, with a creamy soup, chicken wings, and tsukune. It is a delightful culmination of flavors, providing a satisfying taste. Cooking vegetables like cress in the rich soup and eating it sukiyaki-style with eggs is also a delicious option. After finishing the meat and vegetables, the owner prepares a light porridge, showcasing the rich flavor of chicken essence. The preparation for this soup involves several hours of work and a six-hour simmering process. The bill came to around 13,000 yen per person, which was due to consuming a significant amount of alcohol. If you stick to a moderate amount of drinks, the cost would be around 10,000 yen, which is reasonable for the delicious yakitori and superb sukiyaki. It is a great place for those who enjoy yakitori and sukiyaki, along with a variety of small dishes and drinks.

Despite being short-staffed, the service was smooth and the skewers were delicious. I got too caught up in the hot pot and porridge, forgetting to take photos haha. I might have drank too many Sichuan pepper highballs, as I was a bit of a mess towards the end, but thank you for the tasty yakitori! The pot stew was amazing. Thank you for the feast!

Gourmet dinner with my boss♪ Three types of pickles, potato salad, bonjiri skewers, atsuage shiitake mushrooms, tebasaki (chicken wings) sukiyaki soup, watercress and green onion salad, tsukune chicken meatballs, and a deliciously comforting zosui (rice soup) to finish. The owner, who hails from a famous chicken skewers restaurant, is an expert in handling chicken dishes! The yakitori and sukiyaki are incredibly delicious. The tsukune meatballs were particularly impressive - juicy and flavorful. The thick and juicy shiitake mushrooms were also outstanding! The atsuage was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the tebasaki were plump and tender. The sukiyaki was a delight, with delicious chicken, soup, vegetables, and rice - all perfectly seasoned. The ponzu sauce was also spot on. It was a happy and delicious time (*^^*).

There is a famous hot pot restaurant called Toritomi in Sangenjaya. This time, I was invited by an acquaintance. We had a few skewers of grilled chicken and hot pot. Everything was delicious!!! There are condiments available, but the grilled chicken is seasoned just right, so using condiments feels like a waste. The main hot pot is based on a soup that has been simmered for a long time, with chicken and vegetables to enjoy, and it is finished with rice porridge at the end. But the rice porridge is not heavy at all. It's actually refreshing. The owner here runs the place alone, but wow, he is efficient!! Watching him work smoothly made the drinks go down easily.

This restaurant offers the perfect combination of delicious yakitori and sukiyaki, truly hitting two birds with one stone. I first visited around December last year and was impressed, so I brought a friend for a second visit. The yakitori is grilled over high direct heat, giving it a delicious smoky flavor. The owner trained at Torishiki and Torikado, showcasing the impressive skills of the Torishiki group. They also serve a warm potato salad at the beginning. The main highlight here is the sukiyaki. The chicken and soup are naturally delicious, but the homemade ponzu sauce is the real star. It has a refreshing citrus fruity flavor, sweetness, and richness that make it exceptional. This time, they also introduced a new sauce with a sweet touch, mixing soy sauce with raw egg, which pairs well with tsukune and leeks. The porridge served at the end is prepared with washed rice added to it, making it smooth and easy to eat. Drizzling a bit of ponzu or adding a pinch of salt makes it even more enjoyable. The drinks are also delicious, with a good cost-performance ratio for a bottle of red wine, such as the Burgundy Cote de Beaune Villages (I forgot the producer) on this day. And don't miss out on the unique Yuzu Highball, with a refreshing hint of sansho pepper.

This restaurant is located in a quiet spot, just a stone's throw from the Sangen-jaya intersection. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, making it a great place to relax. The food is delicious, especially the yakitori, but the highlight is the sukiyaki that comes later. The soup is incredibly tasty, so much so that I was too satisfied to remember to take photos of the dishes halfway through. This place is definitely going to be my go-to spot from now on! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

This is my favorite yakitori and sukiyaki restaurant right now. The prices are reasonable and it's still a hidden gem where you can easily get a reservation. The atmosphere of the counter-only restaurant and the personality of the chef are top-notch. I recommend enjoying the simply seasoned hot yakitori as soon as it's cooked.
