In March, I went to a mahjong parlor in Asagaya. Lately, I've been using this mahjong parlor quite often. It's more like a pub than a traditional mahjong parlor, with all-you-can-drink courses available. I had to work until noon that day, so I didn't have time for lunch. I ended up having the beef curry for 500 yen here. The menu said it had "plenty of beef," but I couldn't find many pieces of meat. It probably had smaller pieces of beef than keema curry, but it still had a beefy flavor. I also got the all-you-can-drink set, so I drank plenty of beer and got drunk. I was worried it might affect my mahjong game, but I can't win even when I'm sober, so it shouldn't make a difference. The curry had some unknown discount, so the total bill came to just over 2,000 yen, which was quite a good deal considering I could eat, drink, and play mahjong.

Venue: We chose this place again because it was good last time. It's a laid-back group of drinkers. All-you-can-drink is around 4000 yen per table. Unlimited time. It's less than 1000 yen per person. Plus, complimentary snacks and cup yakisoba & cup ramen. Last time, after leaving this mahjong parlor, we had a course reservation and three people started eating cup yakisoba in the evening, which turned into a mess, so this time we didn't go for the course & all-you-can-drink. It was the right decision. While I was in the bathroom, the three idiots ordered cup yakisoba. 16:30. The silly trio! As expected. This place is great for beer. The sours are like juice. But when we asked for snacks, the staff brought us some Kaki Peanuts. One bag per person. It goes well with beer. This time we won. Everyone got drunk and sloppy. And then we headed to a Laotian & Thai restaurant. This place is good. Highly recommended.

November's M meeting. A shop in front of Asagaya Station. Smoking is allowed here. The smoke is thick. Oh well. They have a all-you-can-drink alcohol course. 3980 yen for a table of 4, which is 1000 yen per person. Customers who use it for 3 hours or more will receive 4 complimentary dishes. (According to the HP) On the HP page, it says you can have draft beer, but it wasn't on the all-you-can-drink menu. We started with a toast with green tea cups. The games began. The snacks didn't come, so we had to ask for them. It was Kaki no Tane (a type of snack mix). The games started off well! I added a highball. That was a mistake. The highball was strong! I gave up after 2 drinks in 6 hours. How many drinks did the other 3 have? One person had shochu on the rocks. Starting off strong, huh. The one who drank the most ended up being completely drunk. Is that even possible! Then, around 5 o'clock, the other 3 started eating cup yakisoba (free). Two salt flavor and one sauce flavor. Unbelievable! We had Turkish cuisine reserved for 6 o'clock. Let's just leave them be. Especially one person. They seemed like they were encountering the universe. And yet, they were still ordering more highballs. Unbelievable. Let's stop trying to break even with the free alcohol. Why did those 3 eat cup yakisoba... I wonder if they can still eat the Turkish cuisine.
