This place is recommended for when you want to eat in alone. There are about 10 tables, so you may have to wait a bit, but the staff will seat you promptly and clean the table for you. Even though it's self-service, the staff is polite and friendly. The apple pie was a bit disappointing as it had a paste-like filling without the texture of apples. However, there are other delicious and affordable pastries available. I think this set was ¥770.

It's called Cupid's Bread, and I found out about it when I looked it up. It's located at Okusawa Station and is a popular shop. I want to visit it sometime. The Fig Anpan for 360 yen is delicious and has a nice texture. The pie is crunchy and can get stuck in your teeth (lol). The Baguette for 270 yen has a delicious wheat flavor.

No.3518 Nearest to Futakotamagawa Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line and Oimachi Line. This is Gardi's bakery & sweets shop located in the basement of Takashimaya in Tamagawa. Gardi is a chain store that sells imported ingredients and offers coffee tasting at the storefront. I didn't know there was a Gardi bakery & sweets shop... I didn't know. At first glance, it looks like a high-end bakery. Vanilla Financier ¥230 Pistachio Madeleine ¥160 ● Vanilla Financier ● ¥230 Oh... it's sweet! It's too sweet. When it comes to sweets, it's natural for them to be sweet, but I'm talking about whether the sweetness has elegance or not. It lacks elegance. The ingredient list includes "powdered sugar," which is basically the same as granulated sugar. The proportion of sugar is too high. You can definitely taste the flavor and texture of the baked goods made with almond powder, and using butter as the fat is basic, but it's just too sweet. The dough is also too soft and mushy. ● Pistachio Madeleine ● ¥160 This one has a slightly firmer texture compared to the Financier, and the ground pistachios are kneaded into the dough before baking. It has a nice nutty aroma and the pistachio color is nicely displayed. But both are just too sweet.

I happened to pass by and was curious about this place. There are many breads lined up, just like at the Sengawa store. Lovely mugs from Hagi, Bizen, Kutani, and more were also displayed. Inside the store, there are 6 tables for 2 people each, so you need to secure a seat first and then order and pay at the register. They had a morning set available until 11:00, so I ordered it. Here is what I had:
- Morning Set A 550 yen
A comes with thick toast, while B comes with a selection of bread for the day. I chose a non-caffeine Yogi tea, specifically the Raspberry Leaf. The toast could have been a bit more toasted, but it was warm and the butter was melted. I enjoyed it with honey on yogurt and chestnut jam on the toast. The jam had finely chopped walnuts in it, which was delicious. I have never tried Raspberry Leaf tea before, but it tasted like Rooibos tea to me. The tea bag tray was cute, so that's a plus.
The store was quiet and cozy, making it a good place for a break during shopping. There is a Caldi store next door, which seems to be part of a promotion as well.

In a town without Doutor or Tully's, I went to this place on the B1 floor of Takashimaya SC in Futakotamagawa to have a quick coffee. For only 320 yen, you can have a quality iced coffee from Kaldis. The coffee has a rich flavor and is quite bitter. Despite being affordable, the service here is top-notch, with the staff even saving seats for customers. The seating is limited so it's best not to linger too long. Overall, it's a great spot in Futakotamagawa.

I didn't know that KALDI had a café. I happened to see it right next to where I was buying coffee beans, so I decided to go in. I selected a piroshki and a coffee chocolate roll. The coffee at the café where they sell coffee beans was not expensive, costing around 1000 yen. The Futakotamagawa store is small and it may be difficult to find seating. Is there a larger store somewhere else?

Having tea at Cafe Caldino in the basement of Takashimaya Tamagawa. The seating is not too crowded this morning, surprisingly. I ordered a small size iced cafe latte for 360 yen (including 10% tax). Even though it's a small size, it's quite generous. Affordable and delicious.

I had a crispy fruit tart and coffee at Caldii Cafe, a bakery and cafe space next to Caldii. It's always crowded, but I was able to quickly find a seat and enjoy a leisurely cafe time this day. I'd like to try other pastries too.

This is a cafe located on the basement floor of Takashimaya South Building. They offer various types of bread that can be taken out. I visited for breakfast. There are two types of breakfast sets available. The daily bread assortment set costs 500 yen, which includes 3 types of bread, a drink, and yogurt. The toast set costs 550 yen. I ordered the daily bread assortment set with coffee. Today's bread options were muffin and pie, with a choice of honey or marmalade. I prefer butter, but unfortunately, they didn't have it. The bread and coffee were delicious. It's a good deal for 500 yen.

I found out while patrolling that they also have sandwiches! I asked if they were from Cupid (not that I mind if they are from Kaldis) and then chose the Candied Ham Gouda Cheese sandwich (550 yen tax included) instead of the Camembert Tomato one that I originally wanted. I also got a Pain au Chocolat (290 yen tax included) and a wine (310 yen tax included), both red and white. The wine was easy to drink and delicious! Maybe it was the Redwood from Kaldis? I'm not sure about the taste, but I've bought it before. The sandwich was heated up and had a great ham and cheese flavor. It's a nice place to take a break with bread and wine. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the Cupid bread I bought in Okusawa was, but this time it was good but not as impressive. Still, if it's close by (within 1 hour and 15 minutes by train), I would like to visit this shop again. And then I found out they also have it in Ikebukuro Shopping Park! Lucky!

Visited for takeout in the morning on a regular day. Baguette @ 240 yen: You can taste the flavor of wheat. Not too hollow inside and delicious. Potato and minced meat pie @ 300 yen: A type of pie that takes a lot of effort to make. Elegant taste, goes well with wine! Mushroom and cream pizza @ 310 yen: Plenty of mushrooms packed with umami as toppings! Premium red bean bun @ 190 yen: Not too sweet red bean paste, delicious red bean bun. Red apple Danish @ 400 yen: A Danish with beautifully topped sour red apples. Cupido is a must-try for delicious Danish! Not greasy, so you can eat as much as you want. Consistently delicious as always!

Kaldi's bakery is located in Takashimaya Tamagawa, they have a seating area but it's also good for takeout. In the evening, they tend to run out of items. The Panettone has a Christmas vibe, and the baguette is also good. The Panettone Lemon has a refreshing taste with lemon peel that adds a nice bitterness, and the texture is moist unlike typical Panettone. The Marron Baguette has small chestnut-like grains with a good balance of sweetness and a perfect size. Overall, it's quite good, and reasonably priced for Takashimaya Tamagawa.

I used takeout in the afternoon on a regular day. You can buy bread from CUPIDO at the cafe Pan Do Mi in Okusawa. Cafe Pan Do Mi offers Focaccia for 380 yen, Apple Pie for 300 yen, and Peach Danish for 400 yen. It's a bit pricey, but I love the crispy Danish even after some time has passed. You can also dine in at the cafe if you want to relax.

As usual, I ran out of cosmetics, so I came to the department store where my friend works to buy some. I had plans to have dinner elsewhere later, so I decided to just have a light tea and go back home. I am at the cafe in Kaldis. As expected, they have a great selection of specialty drinks. At first, I was thinking of ordering a soy latte, but then I saw "Pistachio" written on the menu. Pistachio Latte - Small size for 510 yen. If I hadn't encountered pistachio, I would have probably missed out on one percent of life's enjoyment. I love pistachios. And of course, I ordered it hot. Ah, the happiness hormones are flowing. I feel like I'm becoming more beautiful again. Speaking of beauty, there was a very beautiful older lady sitting nearby. She looked like a doll. Maybe a sophisticated lady? However, she kept moving to better seats as they became available. By the time I left, she was still there, even though she had finished her drink by the time I arrived. There were also people having work discussions, so it seems like improving turnover in this not-so-spacious cafe is a challenge. The image is a quick snapshot of the surroundings when a seat briefly became available. The cafe was always full. The pistachio latte, from the foam to the last drop, was absolutely delicious.

On this day, I came to Futakotamagawa for some errands. During a break in my tasks, I enjoyed a delicious Western meal at "Aina Kitchen Riviere" located in the area adjacent to Yagikoji in the west exit. After lunch, I returned to my errands but it was still early, so I decided to spend some coffee time here since I had come all the way to Futakotamagawa. The café I visited is operated by Camel Coffee, the company behind the well-known chain, Kaldi Coffee Farm. Kaldi Coffee Farm has expanded to 464 stores nationwide, with a café brand called Café Caldino in operation at seven locations in Tokyo. The café offers a bakery-style atmosphere and also sells wine and coffee products. The bread is sourced from a popular bakery in Setagaya-ku called Artisan Boulangerie Cupid. I arrived at the café around 12:30 pm and ordered a cream donut and a small original coffee. The cream donut was filled with custard cream sprinkled with vanilla beans, and the coffee was served after a short wait. The café had a cozy seating area with around 12 seats, and the donut had a light texture with a creamy filling that was a perfect balance of flavors.

Rating: This cafe by Kaldis is quite unique. However, it wasn't anything to boast about. The prices are high, the space is small, and the selection of items is limited. I felt that if they were going to create such a small space, including space for the register and display, it might have been more profitable to use a regular retail space at Kaldis. The bread was delicious, but personally, I found the prices a bit too high, so I rate it 3.1 stars.
Details: I visited this cafe out of curiosity as Kaldis cafes are rare in Japan, with less than 10 stores. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Futakotamagawa Station, on the basement floor of Takashimaya. The seating is quite limited, probably accommodating less than 20 people. It can get quite crowded at times, so there may be a wait if you want to eat here. The majority of customers were women, mostly individuals taking a break from shopping with a bread and drink. Baby strollers may find it a bit difficult, but if you're lucky to find two empty seats, you can sit down.
Food: I ordered Milanese Cutlet (¥340), Coffee Curry Bread (¥280), Sausage Curry Dog (¥340), and Tea (¥310). The bread seems to be sourced from a store called "Cupid," which explains the high prices. Compared to my recent visit to Lupicia, where I was impressed by the deliciousness, I found the prices for these breads a bit steep. Among them, the Coffee Curry Bread was particularly delicious.

I wanted to go to CAFE KALDINO at Kalidino so badly, and I finally made it. I tried their takeout curry bread for 280 yen, which was quite spicy but delicious! Next time, I will definitely try their café. I bought various types of bread, but my child ate them before I could take a picture... CAFE KALDINO is located at Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. in Setagaya, Tokyo. The address is 3-17-1 Tamagawa, Tamagawa Takashimaya SC Minami-kan B1F. You can contact them at Kaldi Coffee Farm at 03-5797-3123 or Café Kaldino at 03-5797-9669. They are open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm (last order at 8:45 pm).

I went back to the bakery because the Pandemi and English muffin I bought last time were delicious! I tried the Coffee Curry Bread this time, which cost 270 yen. I warmed it up at home and it had a nice coffee aroma. The bread was crispy with a coffee scent, very fragrant and delicious. The curry inside was paste-like and quite spicy with a deep flavor. As my tongue started to tingle, the coffee flavor in the bread faded, but I could still enjoy the coffee aroma through my nose. I initially thought coffee and curry would be a strange combination, but it turned out to be delicious!

I was happy when Caldii opened in Rise, but I'm even happier now that they have opened in the basement of Takashimaya, making it even more convenient (#^^#). They have a cafe attached, which I was curious about. This time, I bought some bread to go.
- Pan de mie (5 slices, 1 loaf) 380 yen (excluding tax)
They had 4-slice, 5-slice, and 6-slice options. The 5-slice loaf comes with one slice with the crust. The crust is chewy with a nice texture, and the inside is fluffy and moist, very delicious. Personally, I would have liked it to be a little saltier.
- English muffin 60 yen (excluding tax)
My 6-year-old daughter chose this. She was nibbling on it happily (#^^#) I took a bite, and it was similar to the Pan de mie. I found out from other reviews that it's bread from a famous shop in Okusawa. Their Danish pastries and savory bread looked delicious too, so I would like to buy them again.

I visited in the evening on a regular day and dined in. The seating is limited, so it was almost full. I had a large size Janat tea (made with 2 Janat tea bags sold at Kaldis) in a mug for 360 yen. I also had a mixed berry chocolate danish for 410 yen. The bread was delicious! It reminded me of my favorite bakery in Okusawa, "Cupid." It should be just as delicious, right?
