After watching a movie in Ginza, my husband wanted to have a delicious beer at Lion on our way back, so we chose this particular store among the many Lion stores in Ginza. We both love the fried spaghetti here. The Lion's spaghetti is made with thick noodles fried in a pan until crispy, giving it a rich and nostalgic flavor with chunks of red Vienna sausage. We like to sprinkle plenty of grated cheese on top. They bring a mini bottle of grated cheese along with the spaghetti, so you can generously sprinkle it without hesitation, which is nice. The fluffy egg salad sandwiched between ham and deep-fried to a crispy finish is also delicious. The oyster gratin served in its shell was hot and creamy, and the garlic steak pilaf with a strong garlic flavor and tender steak on top was also tasty. My husband enjoyed a half & half of Ebisu beer and a Premium Beer Sorachi 1984. They also offer a cute Anpanman plate for kids (please refer to the photo if interested), making it a great place for families with children. Ginza Lion is a place we often visit, especially the one in Shibuya Mark City, but the Ginza Go-chome store is relatively new, with a clean and stylish interior that exudes a classical charm. However, the service used to be more like that of seasoned male veteran waiters, reminiscent of hotel staff, which we loved. Due to the impact of the pandemic or the switch to touch panel ordering, the service has become more casual, which was a bit disappointing.

I participated in a Ueno & Ginza architecture tour and had a reflection meeting. So, of course, we ended up at Ginza Lion! The simple but nicely aged table we sat at was perfect. The classical interior, with a candy-colored feel to everything, was wonderful. Just sitting here raises my spirits. In my younger days, I was a member of the Koshukai society, so I didn't have any special attachment to Lion, but it truly is a cultural treasure. The atmosphere is outstanding. I had a preconceived notion that places like this would be ridiculously expensive, but when I looked at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised. A generous-sized beer was around 800 yen. Considering it's in the heart of Ginza and a cultural treasure, it's actually a very reasonable price. The food was simple but not bad. It wasn't particularly cheap, but it was around the same price as a family restaurant or izakaya. What surprised me the most was the service. The smoothness of being shown to our seats, the speed of delivery, and the prompt attention when we wanted to order more. Even though it was a full house, everything flowed seamlessly. In the current food service industry, which is struggling with a shortage of staff, this level of service is almost miraculous. I haven't seen this in a while. Especially in today's world, where there is a lack of staff, this is almost like a miracle, isn't it? There was a scene where a young staff member dropped a tray, and in an instant, another staff member shouted "I apologize!" while another quickly appeared with a mop, and yet another with a broom and dustpan. In about a minute, they had everything under control. As they passed by our table, they smoothly said, "I'm sorry. Was everything okay with your food?" The staff seemed to be highly motivated. This must be the pride of a long-standing establishment, right? It feels good to come to a place like this. I regret not knowing about the goodness of this restaurant before. I will definitely come back here when I'm in Ginza next time.

I passed by the shop by chance during opening hours and decided to go in. The name "Shirahono Ka" was beautiful, so I chose it. Since it was already lunchtime, I ordered "Yaki-Napolitan," "Garlic Toast," and "Mushroom with Bread Crumbs." I also wanted to try the Autumn Salmon and Ikura Pizza. This place is special to me, as my aunt came here for her 20th birthday celebration. Before the pandemic, the shop used to have events where everyone danced and toasted with the customers. It was filled with beer lovers and had a classical and lovely atmosphere. There is a Ginza Lion in Ginza 5-chome, which is truly special. Last year, it was designated as a cultural property, which made me happy. I would love to drink here until I'm completely drunk.

I was drawn in by the nostalgic atmosphere of the display right after exiting the Ginza station ticket gate. It seems to be operated by Sapporo, with black label and Ebisu draft beers on offer. There is a huge server which surprised me. The restaurant has a considerable number of seats, so even if you go suddenly, you're likely to find a seat. There are many draft beers that you don't often get to drink fresh. Drinking draft beer with a forceful gulp makes it taste delicious! I heard from the person next to me that the draft beer at the 5th Avenue store is delicious because the server is close by. I think it's a good place to enjoy a delicious draft beer after work. Thank you for the meal.

Ginza Lion, a longstanding beer hall restaurant that supports Japan, a country known for its draft beer. The atmosphere at the Ginza 5-chome branch is truly that of Ginza Lion! The circular ceiling lighting is nice. Sapporo beer's variety is outstanding. The coarse foam, different from fine creamy foam, is served in a large mug, perfect for enjoying with the food. Fried foods are the main dishes, and sausages are a must. The German cheese croquette has a crispy coating with a chunky German potato underneath! The cabbage at the bottom becomes soft and mixes well with the mayonnaise and sauce, perfect for enjoying with the croquette. The fried chicken is large and juicy, but be careful as it is very hot. The tender and chewy octopus is delicious. Fried foods, especially the fried octopus, go well with beer. I like the cabbage pickle that comes with the sausage. It's nice to try different types of beer and compare them.

Went here with friends for drinks. The oldest existing beer hall in Ginza, the Nana-chome branch, had a long line so we went to the Go-chome branch instead. We were able to get in right before 5 pm on a weekend without waiting. It's a Sapporo Group establishment, so you can enjoy various Sapporo beers. We started with Shiroho no Ka for a toast. It has a fruity and light taste that is delicious. The currywurst at the beer hall was a great choice with both tasty sausage and potatoes. The curry flavor was just right and very tasty. The beef cutlet was big and satisfying, with delicious sauce. The fish & chips were consistently delicious, refreshing with lemon and vinegar. The Ebisu Premium Black (black beer) has a rich taste but is easy to drink. The Sorachi 1984 has a strong hop aroma and was also very tasty. The beers were all light and easy to drink, and surprisingly served quickly. The food also went well with the beer. It's a place loved by people who enjoy drinking during the day, those who enjoy food, and people of all ages and genders.

"I visited 'Lion Ginza Gochome Store'. The location is in Ginza Place B2, near the Nissan showroom at the intersection of Ginza 4-chome. It is directly connected to Ginza Station, so if you are coming from Yurakucho, you will need to go down the subway stairs at the intersection of Ginza 4-chome. <Standard LION Course 5,000 yen (tax included)> ● Chef's assorted '3 types of appetizers' ● Snack salad ● Wine-steamed mussels ● LION chicken karaage ● Beer hall sausage ● Weisswurst ● Shrimp & chips ● LION mix pizza A lion in the middle of Ginza?! I can't drink alcohol, so I want to at least eat delicious food, but each dish was surprisingly delicious. Especially the karaage was large, well-seasoned, crispy, and delicious. We shared two portions. Overall, the flavors are strong and go well with beer. When I asked other members for their opinions, they also said that beer was the best. The cola was also good. Drinks are ordered via a touch panel (iPad) and served promptly. Alcoholic beverages are served in glasses with tags that say 'this is alcohol'. Since most people drink alcohol here, I thought it might be better to use glasses with tags that say 'this is not alcohol' for non-alcoholic drinks. On a Friday night, I noticed that the restaurant was full. I thought we might be asked to leave after the 2-hour all-you-can-drink course, but we were not rushed out even after 2 hours. They simply switched the touch panel to individual orders, allowing us to stay comfortably. The classic and beautiful interior creates a great beer hall atmosphere. The young staff members were polite and provided pleasant service. Located in the heart of Ginza, it is recommended for those who want to enjoy delicious beer. They are open all day, making it a hidden gem for second drinks after a lunch meeting."

The beer at Shiro Honoka was very delicious and easy to drink. The older male waiter provided excellent service as always, and the young female waitresses were also very good. The service was quick and the atmosphere of the restaurant with its retro Showa style was cozy and nice. I would like to visit again.

Beer was half-price, so we drank a lot! The food wasn't very cost-effective. We had about 24 beers among 5 people, so each of us had around 5 beers (lol). The event was crowded, and the air conditioning wasn't working well, so it was hot the whole time. I couldn't help but think that the beer probably tastes better on a regular day.

I went out for drinks with my senior colleague after work! It was fun because everyone is working remotely, so it had been a while since we last met. The time from ordering to the food arriving was just right, and there were quite a few hearty dishes, so I would recommend it for guys. It's a place where you can enjoy beer with 1-2 dishes, as the tables are small and close together, and there is no smoking area. If you order 3 dishes, the table is full. The atmosphere is lively and fun.

After watching a movie at TOHO Shante, I decided to have a beer in the Ginza area and headed to "Sapporo Draft Beer Black Label THE BAR." However, when I arrived, there was already a long line even though it was before 5 pm. So, I changed my plans and went to the beer hall "Lion Ginza Go-chome Store" located on the B2F of the same building. The history of "Ginza Lion" dates back to the late 1800s, and it has been a popular beer hall ever since. The atmosphere was lively and bustling, with many people enjoying their drinks. I ordered the limited edition "Ginza Lion Ale" and it was refreshing and delicious. The beer had a perfect balance of bitterness and smoothness. I also ordered some Fish & Chips as a snack, which was served hot and crispy. Overall, it was a great experience enjoying beer in the heart of Ginza at "Lion Ginza Go-chome Store."

Originally, I wanted to have a beer, but today I resisted and had lunch instead. There were various menu options such as daily specials and this month's "Curry Fair" lunch, but I was in the mood for noodles so I ordered the Ankake Yakisoba. After the consomme soup arrived, the yakisoba came with squid, scallops, shrimp, komatsuna, green onions, paprika, baby corn, onions, cabbage, bean sprouts, and more. The yakisoba, with a thick sauce, had a nice crispy bottom. Although the soy sauce flavor was a bit strong, mixing in some hot mustard and pickled ginger, and adding a little vinegar, balanced out the flavors perfectly. It was a delicious meal.

After attending the Oktoberfest at Hibiya Park, I wanted to relax and have a beer, so I decided to visit this place. When it comes to Ginza Lion, it's either this shop or the one in Ginza 7-chome. I had never been to either Lion before, so this time I chose the 5-chome shop to visit. The interior was almost full, but fortunately I was able to get a seat. The atmosphere with its dazzling lighting and ambiance was truly befitting of a long-standing beer hall. The menu had a beer server right in front of the counter seats, and all the beers were delicious. This time, I chose a tasting set to compare. ¥1,254 for 'Ichido Nogi Black Label' & 'Perfect Black Label'. They brought me one glass of each, allowing me to do a real taste comparison, which was great. By the way, I found the Perfect Black Label to be very delicious. I also ordered: - Amber Ebisu Premium Amber Medium Jug ¥1,012 - Sorachi 1984 Original Glass ¥880 - Roast Beef S ¥1,848 - Pork Spare Ribs ¥2,178 - Shrimp Fry ¥968 Overall, the beer was delicious as expected from a beer hall. The food, however, may have fallen a bit short compared to the beer. The roast beef and pork spare ribs could have been better. Nevertheless, I had a great time enjoying the delicious beer.

I think this restaurant in Ginza is relatively empty. It's located underground, so it has a cozy atmosphere. The interior is also nice. I had lunch there that day. It was an average Western-style lunch. They have tables for large groups, so it's a convenient place to use.

I felt like I was in a theme park when going down to the underground for a solo lunch on a regular day. There were plenty of seats available, and I was seated quickly even though it was lunchtime. I decided to try the beef cutlet, which was tender but had some tough and chewy parts that made it a bit difficult to eat. Some slices were mostly fatty, which was disappointing. I'm curious about the other Western-style menu items and would like to try them if I have the chance. [Ordered Menu] Beef Cutlet Lunch 1800 yen Comes with soup, salad or bread, or rice (extra rice for free)

A lion statue right by the subway entrance. The location is convenient, and the atmosphere inside is casual and somewhat light. Surprisingly bright for a lion-themed place, with a younger crowd. I stopped by for another drink after feeling a bit unsatisfied with just one. So I went for the bold Black Ebisu beer. Also ordered some tangy sauerkraut. The Black Ebisu has such a dignified taste, it's really good. No matter what dish you order at Lion (in my mind), you always get that finely shredded cabbage pickle on the side. I love it so much that I end up ordering it separately. Then came the sauerkraut, which was different this time. Just visited the Nana-chome branch with friends earlier, so I'm sure of it. As you can see in the photo, it had thicker slices and a firmer texture, which was surprisingly delicious. Could this be an original dish from this branch? I hope they make it a regular menu item. This spontaneous visit to this branch was fun with some new discoveries.

I retired at the mandatory age and became a leisurely part-time uncle, but it's quite difficult to go out and about. It's easier during holidays like Golden Week. This time, I applied for and won a ticket to participate in "Ginza Sky Walk - Walk on the Highway" and went for it. (All done on my smartphone. Tickets were purchased through Lawson Ticket. I also used the JAL Smile Campaign recently, all online. Checked in using my smartphone.) I was able to take a walk on a part of the KK line that surrounds Ginza. For those wondering, here is an excerpt from their website: "Tokyo Expressway Co., Ltd. manages and operates a 2km-long section of a car-only road (referred to as the KK line) and rental spaces (14 buildings) located beneath the road in the center of Tokyo. Our company covers the maintenance costs of the road above by the rental income from the facilities we own and offers it for free use, fulfilling a public role as a private enterprise." (https://www.tokyo-kousoku.jp/) It was a rare opportunity to walk on a highway, so I was looking forward to it. I joined the 12:00 PM session on a beautiful sunny day and got thirsty. So, I decided to visit Lion for a delicious beer. During the lunchtime of Golden Week, the place was naturally quite crowded. After waiting for about 20 minutes, I was finally seated and placed my order using a tablet, which is a must-have feature in large establishments. First, I ordered a draft beer (803 yen), which was naturally delicious in a beer hall. For snacks, I ordered Fish & Chips (1,078 yen), which goes well with beer. Next, I tried the Sparkling Wine Carafe (2,035 yen), which was a very fruity bubbly wine. Since I was hungry, I ordered the Western Plate Lunch (1,780 yen) next. This was amazing - it included Dry Curry, 2 Shrimp Fries, Demi-Glace Hamburger, and Neapolitan with a red Wiener + fresh vegetables. A meal fit for an adult child. It was a huge portion of Turkish rice! The Dry Curry had a nice spice level, and the Shrimp Fries were delicious. The Hamburger was something I originally wanted to try, so I was happy with this treat. The Neapolitan had chewy pasta with a good ketchup flavor, and the red Wiener was a nice touch. The salad was also a generous portion! I shared it with my wife, but it was just enough for two people to finish. It would take quite a food fighter to finish it alone! Finally, my wife had dessert, and I had a dark beer to finish off our Ginza walk and delicious beer for a great end to Golden Week. Thank you for the meal.

Located just a short walk from the A3 exit of Ginza Station on the Tokyo Metro, there is a Lion restaurant. It is one of the food and beverage tenants at "Ginza Place," with its entrance on the underground first floor of the Metro concourse. The restaurant is situated further down on the underground second floor after descending a flight of stairs. The brightly lit interior gives off a lively atmosphere rather than a calm one. With no windows and limited depth, it can feel a bit enclosed, but the sight of numerous tables lined up is quite impressive. I have visited Lion many times in the past, but this time I tried their crab cream croquette and lamb grill for the first time. Both dishes paired well with beer and were delicious. It seems that Lion focuses on quality rather than just increasing the number of items on their menu. The emphasis is on how well their dishes complement beer. The clientele seems to be slightly older, with many foreign tourists as well. Being conveniently connected to the Metro, this restaurant is likely featured in guidebooks. Oh, that's right, this is the first Lion restaurant, isn't it?

I didn't know it was located in such a prime location. By the way, Ginza Place is a real estate property of Sapporo. The restaurant was bustling with customers for the second party use. The atmosphere was great, and it's a spot I want to keep hidden for the second party of the Ginza Association.

My favorite dish ✨ In Kobe, I go to Munich, and in Tokyo, I go to Lion when I feel like eating it! It's piping hot and juicy, definitely a burn risk, but I want to eat it quickly ✊ I wanted to try a second restaurant, but it was full on a Friday night!! Because it's so delicious, right? If you're lucky, you might not have to wait.

I made a reservation for 4 people at a friend's gathering for an all-you-can-drink course. We had to change the reservation to the 5th Avenue store because the 7th Avenue store was fully booked. The Lion place seems to have a higher age group of customers. It seems like there are reasons why young people are moving away from beer. For an additional 1000 yen, we could also have all-you-can-drink craft beers, so we tried almost all of them. I saw Shiroho no Ka again after a long time. It used to be available in many stores at one point. Personally, I really like the taste. I had booked a business hotel in Tokyo in advance, so I was able to drink without worrying about getting home. I don't remember the latter part very well, it was a non-stop drinking session!笑
