I think the registration of this chain store's name on Tabelog is messy. This restaurant is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant called "Oedo." Embarrassingly, all three stores in my local Ikebukuro have the word "Katsu" in their names. It's like "Katsu Oedo." While it may seem like it's written that way on the sign, the character "Katsu" is clearly different in color, size, and font, and I think it's just a part of the picture. So, if you're not careful, this restaurant could end up being called "Katsu Gyo Oedo." That's something that can easily be clarified by looking at the restaurant's website, and there is no need to pick up emojis from the sign and register them. Now, about this restaurant. In the world of familiar conveyor belt sushi and standing sushi chain restaurants, names like "Tenka Sushi" and "Uogashi Nihonichi" are common, and there is also a tendency for names like "Kaisen Misaki Port" that can be found anywhere. However, I often use different chains. This "Oedo" restaurant used to have a branch in Tobu Ikebukuro's restaurant district. This restaurant is the second branch in Ueno, located next to Crown Ace's stand curry and Misaki Port. The impression is that one plate costs 149 yen excluding tax, which is clearly inexpensive. The prices at "Oedo" vary depending on the store, and some stores have a tiered pricing system for plates. This store has a uniform plate price, and it's more about whether it's 2 pieces or 1 piece. I start with the recommended board and choose from the center. I start with "Honmaguro Akami." It looks beautiful, but the taste is questionable. I continue with "Kurosoi" and "Houbou." I have experienced Oedo's Kurosoi at another store, and I feel that it brings out good points in terms of price. Lemon was served with Houbou. "Honmaguro Chutoro," which is somewhat more tuna-like than Akami. "Samegarei" has a faint but unique flavor, and I occasionally try it. If you serve it with konbu-jime, it exudes a sense of luxury and rarity. I ordered other items, but it was difficult to place an order at this restaurant. It wasn't just a matter of forgetting the order, but there were shouts coming from each table, so I quickly left the restaurant. Thank you for the meal. I often see that only the neighboring Misaki Port is crowded with customers, while this one is empty, but this time it was a bit crowded, possibly because the neighboring restaurant is closed due to the influence of the coronavirus. It may just be because I'm not used to it. Also, because it's under the guardrail, it shakes quite a bit when trains pass by. The tea had a slight ripple.
