I ordered seafood for the first time at this restaurant, even though I wonder how many times I will come here in my lifetime. Surprisingly, it was quite delicious. I don't feel motivated to eat seafood at a yakiniku restaurant, but if I keep ordering the same menu everywhere I go, I might as well stick to seafood.

I ordered various items besides the peach sorbet, but the peach sorbet was incredibly cute and delicious. I was surprised to find a whole frozen peach inside, which tasted bitter when I bit into it, but the sorbet itself was extremely rich, sweet, and delicious!

However, yesterday I didn't have time to check out any personal restaurants, so I ended up going to Seryna for the first time in a while. I ordered a platter of tongue, a selection of premium meats, thinly sliced loin, kalbi soup, and beef tendon sundubu. Seryna is truly amazing. The quality of the meat and service is impeccable, just like a king. High-end individual restaurants often have owner-chefs who can meticulously focus on every detail of the restaurant, which may contribute to the high quality. On the other hand, maintaining a high quality in all aspects such as taste, service, and facilities while expanding as a chain like Seryna is very difficult. Even using the same ingredients and recipes, the way of prepping, using knives, adjusting heat, and stirring the pot can result in different flavors in the world of cooking. I admire the know-how of maintaining high quality in each location while running a high-end chain restaurant.

Yakiniku lunch for 3,000 yen. You can choose a soft drink. The kalbi had some fat but was not heavy, and I liked the taste of the sauce! The shrimp was also delicious! The Jojoen salad was still delicious just like at the main restaurant! For dessert, there was panna cotta pudding, creamy. The seats were divided like private rooms, so you could relax. I thought it was worth it for 3,000 yen!

I went to "Jojoen" in Shibuya. It is located near Shibuya 109. The interior of the restaurant is spacious with semi-private and private rooms, allowing you to enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere. I go almost every month. The taste is indeed good, but there is a sense of gradual deterioration. Especially the lack of top loin is significant. The price of over 5000 yen for a serving of top loin is indeed too high. It is a popular restaurant, and I was able to enter without a reservation as it was close to closing time. The taste is consistent, for better or for worse. It is well known among regulars, and the seafood is delicious. They have a good selection of lobster, scallops, clams, shrimp, and crab. I recommend trying it at least once.

I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal in a semi-private room with high partitions. I ordered a seafood assortment for the first time and everything from the shrimp to other items was delicious! The portion of the silver plate cold noodles was generous even in the half size. The base flavor is mild, but they also bring a set of seasonings so you can adjust the taste yourself, which is nice. The service was also polite.

Visited Shibuya Jojoen for lunch with my family! Today, I splurged and ordered the Mix Lunch set! It includes grilled items [beef loin, kalbi, shrimp], kimchi, salad, namul, rice, soup, dessert, and a lunch drink. The side dishes that came first were already satisfying in terms of volume! The classic Jojoen salad was delicious as always, the kimchi assortment was a pleasant surprise, and the namul was fresh and crunchy! I personally liked the slightly firm texture of the rice. As for the main grilled items, the kalbi had a rich flavor with a good amount of fat. It was a bit thick but the meat was tender and easy to eat. The beef loin allowed me to enjoy the taste of lean meat. The shrimp was plump and delicious! It was a very satisfying lunch! Thank you for the meal!

The private room is perfect for a secret meeting with friends. We gathered here for a lunch meeting. The prices seem to have gone up a bit since last time, but it's still around 3000 yen. It's been a while since my family and I went to Jyuban. We used a private room this time. As expected from a high-end restaurant, the service and quality of the food were top-notch! I especially love the Negi-tan salt and seafood grill. The Negi-tan salt is folded and cooked so the inside of the green onion gets steamed just right! The sweetness of the green onion and the meat combined was incredibly delicious! (It was so good that I ordered it twice) The seafood with special salt sauce is addictive! I usually prefer to eat it without lemon, but it was still very tasty and flavorful. We also ordered the special Tan salt, Harami, Kalbi, cold noodles, Jyuban salad, assorted kimchi, Yukkejang, abalone rice porridge, and walnut mochi. We were served almond pudding as a complimentary dessert. We had beer, draft makgeolli, and highball for drinks. Our family prefers to order meat without any seasoning except for salt and pepper and wasabi soy sauce on the side. The staff kindly accommodated our request and we have been enjoying this style ever since. We are grateful to Jyuban for their excellent service every time. We can't go every month, but it's a nice treat once in a while! Thank you for the meal.

I thought it was Yugen-tei at Jojoen. The atmosphere and prices are similar. It's a different space from the hustle and bustle of Shibuya. There is a subway entrance for the Hanzomon Line a few doors down, so you can avoid the hustle and bustle of Hachiko Square. You might even worry about being on TV passing through the scramble intersection...I can't believe there's such a peaceful space in the heart of Shibuya! There are semi-private and private rooms available. Private rooms have a 10% charge for 2 people or more. But even the semi-private rooms are perfectly fine. You won't even notice the people next to you. They say that even if you close the door to the private room, the smokeless roaster will ventilate for you. The restroom is also wonderful. They seem to tidy up right away after a customer uses it. The staff are all very attentive and provide great hospitality, like at a luxury hot spring inn. What we had... ◆ Jojoen Salad ◆ Chapchae ◆ Kalbi ◆ Low-alcohol beer, Beery Jojoen Salad is a must. The dressing tastes different when you buy it and eat it at home. I wonder what's different about it. I also love Chapchae. I was considering ordering Bibimbap, but Chapchae was a good choice since it has noodles. If I had ordered Bibimbap, I would have been way too full! I also love Jojoen's Kalbi. This time, I tried Beery, a 0.5% alcohol Asahi beer for the first time. They say 0.5% alcohol is good in this day and age. I thought it was good because it made me feel like I was drinking beer. Alcohol makes me feel tired and sleepy... At the end, they serve ice cream and tea. You can choose from matcha ice cream, vanilla ice cream, or yuzu sherbet. A great atmosphere for yakiniku in the heart of the city, away from the hustle and bustle!

I made a reservation at Seryna for a friend's birthday. I had been to this restaurant a few times before, but I had never made a reservation myself, as it was usually treated as a special treat by my boss. It is located above the 31 Ice Cream shop. It is on the top floor of a building where other regular izakayas are located. The entrance is spacious and the staff kindly escorted us to our table. We used a 6-person table for 4 people, so it felt quite spacious. Although it was not a private room, the partitions were high enough that we didn't feel bothered by the neighboring tables. We ordered a la carte instead of a course menu. ★Seryna Salad 800 yen We ordered two to share among four people. The Seryna Salad was delicious as always! The dressing at the restaurant is just better than store-bought. ★Kimchi Assortment Large 1700 yen It included radish, cucumber, Chinese cabbage, eggplant, and they were all well marinated. ★Grilled Salted Beef Tongue 3000 yen Each person had their own tongs. We wrapped the green onions around the beef tongue and grilled it. The beef tongue from Seryna was delicious as expected. ★Thick Cut Grilled Salted Beef Tongue 3500 yen The thick slices of beef tongue were cut into two pieces each. They were thick and juicy. ★Yukhoe with Salt and Sauce 2200 yen We ordered one with salt and one with sauce. It came with salad greens, raw egg, and pear. We didn't put in the pear and found the salt version to be very light. The sauce version was our favorite. The yukhoe had no unpleasant smell and was delicious. ★White Wine ★Red Wine ★Makgeolli Bottles started from 3000 yen. Both the white and red wines were good. The Makgeolli had only one type, and it was decent. It would have been nice to have a few more options. ★Grilled Pork Shoulder with Bamboo Skewers 4000 yen The large pieces of meat were surprising. It was very satisfying to eat. ★Grilled Harami 2600 yen ★Grilled Beef Offal Assortment 2100 yen It included upper small intestines, beef offal, and liver. ★Grilled Shrimp with Salt and Sauce 1600 yen The large and juicy shrimp was delicious. It was my first time having seafood at Seryna. ★Yukhoe Jang Noodles 1400 yen ★Chige Nabe 1200 yen The soup dishes at the end were surprisingly cheap, but they were flavorful and satisfying. For my friend's birthday, a dessert plate with their name and ice cream was served. They also offered a photo service and a card to write a message, so we borrowed color pens. We had a lot to eat and drink, and the bill came out to around 13,000 yen per person. It wasn't as expensive as I thought! It was great to go with about four people as we could try a variety of dishes.

I like that it's a private room where you can eat without worrying about others. The beef tongue is tender and thick, it's amazing. All the meats are of high quality with a good amount of fat, but I couldn't eat too much because of the richness. The meat had a beautiful color. Lastly, we had dessert ice cream.

We gathered with three friends in Shibuya and decided to try Yakiniku at Jyuban. It was definitely worth it, even though it was a bit pricey. The meat was delicious, and we heard that the quality can vary between locations, but this one was great. We would love to come back for special occasions!
