The curry at Rani's is delicious, but the naan is especially tasty. I used to only go to Rani's for curry, so I didn't know, but recently I started going to other restaurants and realized how delicious the naan here is. It's slightly sweet and full of butter, very tasty. Lately, I feel like the flavor of the first naan and the refill naan has changed, but the curry is also delicious with a wide variety of options and the dessert like mango lassi is tasty. The staff is friendly and welcoming, especially to families with children. I have visited many times and always had a good experience.

The green salad dressing here is delicious. The curry is also delicious and the naan is tasty too. I like the blueberry naan the most, even though some people say it's like dessert. The sweetness of the blueberries complements the spiciness of the curry. Also, even though it's an Indian curry restaurant, they now have curry udon on the menu. It used to be a secret menu item, but now it's on the regular menu. It's delicious, so please try it.

The restaurant is spacious. I ordered the Tandoori Chicken, which I love. It was delicious! The curry was quite spicy, but I think I could handle the spiciest level. It was authentic and creamy, but I wish it was spicier.

It has been a long time since I last visited Rani. The naan is all-you-can-eat, but one piece is enough as it is big. This time, I ordered medium-spiced butter chicken and lamb curry. Maybe because it's been a while, the butter chicken tastes sweeter than I remember. The spicy lamb curry is delicious.

First visit on August 24, 2022. As an inexperienced curry eater, I decided to try the curry at this restaurant. There were a few cars parked in front of the store. I entered around 11:40 am. There were 4 groups of 12 people already inside, and 4 groups of 7 people arrived after me. The majority of customers seemed to be families rather than office workers. It's a popular place. The staff, a sturdy guy and a slim girl, were serving customers. The guy had a loud voice, almost too loud, but he was impressively fast at his job. I ordered the cheapest curry on the menu for lunch on weekdays, which cost 660 yen (tax included) (chicken, spiciness level 4 (spicy), with rice). The staff asked, "You can't get refills, is that okay?" (That's fine. No drinks or desserts included.) Shortly after ordering, the salad arrived. It had a vibrant orange dressing. The salad consisted of lettuce, shredded cabbage, cucumber, and tomato. I later found out that this bright orange dressing is a common dressing in Indian restaurants. The curry soup was thick. It had potatoes and onions melted into it. It didn't have the typical characteristics of Bengali cuisine. It wasn't very spicy, more like a regular chicken curry. The chicken pieces were cut into bite-sized pieces and there were about 10 of them in the curry. The meat was tender and delicious. I didn't notice any solid ingredients other than the meat. The spiciness was not overpowering. I'm not a big fan of naan, so I ate the curry with rice. The rice seemed to be Japanese rice. I appreciated the attentive service at this restaurant. Thank you for the meal. [Correction] The restaurant name has been changed to "RANI." I had mistakenly written "RARI" before. I apologize.

First visit after the renewal opening. I was worried that the menu might have become more expensive due to the clean interior and exterior, but it turned out to be the same price, so I was relieved. Today, I ordered the usual daily set for 1400 yen including tax and the chicken parak for 950 yen including tax, with cheese coconut naan for 500 yen including tax, which I haven't had in a while. I ordered lassi and mango lassi with drink service coupons. As expected, the tandoori chicken is the best! The fragrant aroma is irresistible. I don't recommend the cheese coconut naan, but I secretly love it... I can finish it even without curry! The chicken parak is a rich curry with a strong garlic flavor. Since eating vegetable curry here, I have started ordering vegetable curry at other restaurants as well. The staff curry is on the watery side, but the taste is solid, making it great for comparing different styles. Lastly, the lassi from Rani that I always have is a sweet and rich food, not a drink, especially enjoyable after eating spicy curry! If you prefer light and watery drinks, please refrain.

I visited "RANI Hachioji Yarisui Shop," located just a 1-minute drive from the Yarisui IC on Route 16 Bypass. RANI is a Bangladeshi curry restaurant with four locations, including Yarisui, Kamimizo, Yamato, and Katagura. The restaurant has a spacious parking lot and a comfortable seating area with several four-person tables. The menu is extensive, with the most variety among curry restaurants in the area. I ordered the Weekday Service Lunch (600 yen, tax not included), which allows you to choose between Chicken Curry or Vegetable Curry, with the option of Naan or Rice. The lunch also includes a salad, and you can add a drink for an additional 150 yen. The spiciness level ranges from 1 to 5, and I chose the maximum level of 5 for the Chicken Curry with Naan. The service was incredibly fast, with the salad brought out within 10 seconds and the Naan in 1-2 minutes. The curry was served promptly as well, and the portion size was generous with large chunks of chicken. The Naan was soft and flavorful, and the curry had a good balance of spiciness and richness. Overall, the meal was delicious, and I received a coupon for a free drink next time. The spiciness level at maximum was like Coco Ichibanya's 5x spiciness, causing a gradual build-up of heat but nothing too overwhelming. The experience was enjoyable, and I look forward to visiting again for the affordable and tasty lunch set.

Every time I passed by this shop in front of the street, I was curious about it. I happened to have the opportunity to visit it. I arrived after the weekend opening, around 11:00. The store was quite spacious, with about 3 groups of customers already there. There were 4.5 staff members on the floor, all of whom were very good at Japanese. I ordered the Butter Chicken Curry lunch. The curry choices were "Keema Makini" (curry with minced meat, cream, and butter) for 1,080 yen (excluding tax). First, a salad was served right away. It had plenty of sweet dressing and was delicious, but it got a little soggy with dressing towards the end. Next, the curry, naan, chicken malai tikka, and yogurt arrived. The naan was huge! I've never seen one this big before, so I was surprised...! The Butter Chicken was rich and had a strong sweetness, very tasty. The Keema Makini was not as sweet as the Butter Chicken, with a slightly spicy kick within the sweetness, and the minced meat was delicious! The chicken malai tikka, although I thought it would be bite-sized, was actually quite large, with a very delicious seasoning and tender texture that was impressive. Even though I was already very full from one piece of naan, it seemed like refills were free, and I was amazed at the satisfaction for 1,080 yen! The service was also good, and I definitely want to go back again. By the time I left, the store was full of customers.

This time, I visited a curry restaurant called "Rani" in Hachioji City, Tokyo. It had been a while since my last visit. I went for lunch on a weekday. The lunch set with a drink included costs 935 yen. I chose the "Seafood Curry 4 Spicy" with rice, salad, and a drink. The salad and drink were served first. The salad was quite generous with dressing and tasted delicious. The Guava Lassi drink was thick and flavorful, with a nice guava taste. The Seafood Curry had a good balance of saltiness and spiciness, which I enjoyed. It was packed with seafood and went well with the naan bread. The portion size was satisfying even though there was only one curry option. The naan bread was large as usual, making it a great accompaniment to the curry or salad. You can get free refills of naan on weekdays, but one piece was enough for me.

Visited with my family of five for lunch on Saturday, June 2020. Although it shares the same name as an Indian restaurant in Kimitsu that we visited this month, there is no connection between them. I just realized while writing this review that it is actually related to the Indian restaurant in Kamizuru that we visited a year ago, but the taste, atmosphere, and system were different. It is located where Yarimizu's spinning sushi used to be. The parking lot was crowded, but the spacious interior seemed unlikely to be full. We ordered four sets of the standard lunch set for 850 yen each, which includes curry, naan or rice, salad, and a soft drink, as well as two orders of chicken tikka for 390 yen each. The staff told us, "You can't have free refills on naan with this menu!!" but the portion was so large that we didn't need any refills. The naan was huge, and the curry was also plentiful. This may be the first time I've seen so much curry served. - Keema Makhani: Sweet and mild curry with a lot of finely ground chicken. I wanted a bit more spice, but it was on the sweeter side. - Dal Palak: Spicy curry with beans and spinach. Delicious, but I wished it had a bit more spice. I asked for it to be spicy, but the level of spiciness was similar to the "normal" one. - Chana Masala: Chickpea curry. This was my favorite! - Beef Curry: Tender beef curry. The sauce was thick and it tasted surprisingly good, almost like Japanese curry. - Chicken Tikka: Small pieces of chicken thigh for 390 yen. Not bad for the price. Overall, we enjoyed the variety of curry options available for lunch!

I went to Indian curry restaurant Rani. The place was about 50-60% full when I arrived, but it was packed by the time I left. I ordered the weekday lunch special for 600 yen (excluding tax), which included chicken curry, and added a side of dal bhara for 200 yen (excluding tax). The lunch special came with a choice of salad and naan or rice. I asked for both curries to be very spicy. The chicken curry was delicious as always, and the dal bhara with plenty of beans and spinach was also spicy and tasty. This combination was great. It was a delicious and spicy meal.

The usual daily set menu is always a good deal, but today we shared rice and cheese naan and each ordered our favorite curry. The Chicken Palak had spinach as an actual ingredient rather than a paste, and it was delicious with a strong garlic flavor. The lassi was sweet and thick, and once you have it here, you won't be satisfied with lassi from other restaurants. I'll share a photo of the lassi next time...

❑Indian-Bengal Cuisine Rani Hachioji Branch (RANI) I had been curious about this restaurant located at the Yari Mizu intersection in Hachioji. While expecting elements of Bangladeshi and Bengali curry, the lunch menu turned out to be surprisingly Japanized. The relatively large restaurant is technically divided into smoking and non-smoking sections, and orders are taken using a handheld device. ◉Lunch Set with Drink ¥850 [excluding tax] A salad was served first, followed by the main dish in about 6 minutes. I chose the mutton curry with a spicy level, rice, and hot chai. Although there was a rare beef curry on the menu, I was not drawn to it and opted for the mutton curry. The spiciness was moderate, with a thick gravy containing small pieces of mutton, which I imagine would be similar to beef. The blend of Indica rice was fine, but the rice felt like it had been sitting for a while, possibly not the best choice to pair with the mutton. The restaurant seemed to specialize in big naan, but I didn't realize this until later, so I didn't order any extra. The chai had a strong spice flavor and richness, and adding one sugar stick enhanced the lingering taste. Although there was a mention of "unlimited naan during special events" in the restaurant, no one informed me about it, so I ended the meal without getting any more. I could sense the Bangladeshi influence from the photo of the mutton biryani on the dinner menu, so I might try it next time if I get the chance.

It seems to be getting more and more delicious! Previously, the saltiness was strong, and the spiciest chicken curry was a must with naan, but it was even more delicious. The tandoori chicken is also a sure bet! The staff are also very kind. Thank you for offering lunch menu until late. The dressing for the salad is on the sweeter side. It's strange how Indian restaurants often have sweeter sauces, isn't it? The naan was a very big size!

Sometimes I visit this curry restaurant that I really like. The spacious store is very comfortable. Just so you know, my all-time favorite curry restaurant is CoCo Ichibanya, but RANI is the next favorite for me. My husband also loves it, and sometimes he suggests going to that curry restaurant out of the blue. This restaurant is located right near Roten Garden (hot springs). Whenever we go to Roten Garden for lunch, we often end up going to this restaurant. Around that area, we also like Canary Row, RANI, and Koma Sushi. This day was the first time I visited RANI last year. I had the A lunch set for 1100 yen, which includes chicken curry, choice of curry, salad, tandoori chicken, rice or naan, dessert, and drink. I chose beef curry as my curry. Both the chicken and beef curry were delicious. The drink was lassi, which was quite strong! Every time I come here, I always find the chicken curry to be simple and delicious, and I really like it. The spiciness level can be adjusted. The menu offers a variety of curry options, but it seems like chicken curry and vegetable curry are the popular choices. I keep coming back for the chicken curry. On weekdays, they have a service lunch for 600 yen, which includes chicken curry or vegetable curry, salad, and rice or naan, which is very reasonable. So after repeat visits, I usually just order the service lunch or kids' lunch, which are both very affordable. The naan is quite sweet and large. I prefer rice, though. The staff are very friendly and seem to love kids, making it a pleasant experience for families. The kids' lunch is also very affordable at 500 yen, with a large naan and rice, and a toy included to take home. This restaurant is highly recommended for families with children.

Shrimp butter curry lunch for 1408 yen. You can choose mushroom curry. It's been a while since my last visit, but the naan is still huge. The shrimp butter curry was too sweet for me, unfortunately.

The menu is extensive, so if you're having trouble deciding, try the staff meal! I ordered it thinking it would be a mistake, as it's what the locals eat in India. I asked for it to be extra spicy, just like in India. It didn't look too spicy, so I took a bite. It was delicious. The spiciness wasn't just pain, it was flavorful and spicy! But after about three bites, I was sweating buckets... Maybe not the best choice for a date, but still delicious. The lunch comes with unlimited naan, but I couldn't eat anymore. Another recommendation is the kids' meal. It's meant for one, but I think it's enough to share between two people, although sharing is usually not allowed. Well, kids are an exception, right? (laughs)
