Yoshikami | Asakusa Combination Salad Beef Stew There are several dishes that I suddenly crave when I think about them, and one of them is the beef stew from "Yoshikami". It has a robust Demi-glace sauce with generous chunks of beef belly. The flavor is not overly refined, but just right with a good mix of ingredients that is easy to understand and enjoy. I felt the urge to eat it for free, so I hurried to Asakusa at 6 pm. As usual, I started with the combination salad. Lettuce dressed with mayonnaise-based dressing, topped with tomatoes and white asparagus. I always wish they had potato salad too, but I still order it every time. I happen to like white asparagus. It's not particularly delicious, but I love the feeling of biting into it and the burst of moisture that makes my mouth water. By the way, in Asakusa, there's "Grill Grand" where they serve asparagus salad with an abundance of white asparagus. If you're interested, you should definitely try it. While enjoying the salad, I watched the chefs at Yoshikami prepare the main dish, the beef stew. A generous serving of stew on a stainless steel plate. The powdered cheese sprinkled on top like snowflakes added a touch of elegance to the brown stew. The aroma wafting from the steam gave a delicious anticipation. It's a feast that never fails to excite me no matter how many times I have it. First, I licked the stew with a spoon. The well-rounded Demi-glace sauce with a harmonious blend of acidity and bitterness enveloped my tongue with a rich and hearty flavor. The beef belly crumbled at the touch of a spoon. When I took a bite, the lean and fatty parts separated and mingled in my mouth. The rustic lean meat and the sweet fatty meat clinging to my gums. The chaotic umami that emerges from the mixture of Demi-glace and rice is truly "too delicious to apologize for!" It brings a smile to my face with every bite. The mushrooms were firm. When I bit into them, they released a hot, flavorful broth that moistened my mouth. The fried potatoes soaked in stew were slightly soggy and endearing in their pitiful texture. I don't mind that feeling at all. The carrots were sweet with plenty of syrup. Even when soaked in stew, they maintained their sweet flavor, reminiscent of a traditional taste that warms the heart. I carefully scooped up the last bit of roux and finished my meal. Yoshikami's beef stew is really good after all.

The traditional Western-style restaurant is as good as ever. This time, I tried their curry rice and menchi-katsu combo, instead of their famous beef stew. It was a winning combination that never disappoints. The curry rice tasted like a nostalgic dish from the Showa era, and I savored every bite, feeling like a kid again. The menchi-katsu was made with 100% beef, juicy and flavorful, showcasing the best of beef. The oil used was also of high quality, so even at 58 years old, I didn't feel heavy after enjoying it.

I had an early dinner at the long-established Western-style restaurant "Yoshikami" in Asakusa. It was the day of the Asakusa Samba Carnival, and the town was bustling with excitement. Despite usually having long lines, the restaurant was surprisingly empty due to people being caught up in the festival, and I was lucky to be seated in just 15 minutes. From the counter seat, I could see the cooking process, and the chefs' skills were impressive. Their splendid frying pan techniques felt like entertainment. The omurice had a nostalgic taste that reminded me of the past. And the minced cutlet I ordered for the first time was just amazing. When I took a bite, the meat juice spread in my mouth. It paired perfectly with Yoshikami's special demi-glace sauce. After finishing the meal, I was filled with satisfaction and happiness. Eating at Yoshikami makes me feel energized. This is the true value of a dining establishment. The taste of the food, the warm hospitality typical of the downtown area, and the lively atmosphere inside the restaurant. It is the combination of these elements that makes Yoshikami a unique Western-style restaurant. I will definitely visit again on my next stay in Tokyo.

When I tried to go for lunch, there was a long line, so I decided to try it at night. Although the price is slightly higher, it's not a great deal, but I was very satisfied with the consistently delicious food. I had the beef stew and a bite-sized pork cutlet, both of which were unbelievably tender and delicious. The sauce was also incredibly tasty. I definitely want to go back again.

I went to Yoshikami, a Western-style restaurant in Asakusa. I visited during lunchtime on a weekday and it was a bit crowded, probably because it's a popular spot. The Friday lunch set included soup, a bite-sized cutlet, fried rice, and coffee for 2000 yen. Everything was delicious.

I came here a long time ago and decided to stop by again since there wasn't a long line this time. I was surprised by the high prices of the dishes, with the main dish like hamburger costing ¥1500 and rice costing ¥350. They also recommended a cup soup and cup salad for an additional ¥700, making the total ¥2550. Young people were opting out of the salad and soup to save money, but I decided to try it. The prices felt more like a course meal rather than a casual dining experience. I hope they reconsider their prices to be more in line with the local neighborhood. It might give the impression that Tokyo is expensive for people from other regions.

I really wanted to eat crab cream croquette, so I decided to visit Yoshikami in Asakusa, which is famous for Western cuisine. However, the croquette I had was not the creamy and gooey one I had in mind, but rather tasted like something made at home. It was not up to the standard of what I expected to have at a restaurant. Plus, where was the crab? There were macaroni inside, but I was left wondering. It was my first time trying a croquette like this, and I definitely won't be going back.

It's been a while since I visited Asakusa, and as usual, it was crowded with lots of people, especially inbound foreign tourists. I headed to a restaurant that I couldn't get into during New Year's due to the long line - it was like a revenge visit. Around 7:00 PM, I was hesitant to see a long line, but to my surprise, there was no line when I got there. The spacious restaurant was almost full, so I sat at the counter. The menu was overwhelming, with so many options to choose from, making it difficult to decide. In the end, I ordered the Pork Saute for 1600 yen and the Omelette Rice for 1450 yen. The sound of sizzling in the pan, the aroma in the air, and the lively operation in the open kitchen made waiting enjoyable. The dishes arrived in about 10 minutes, and the Pork Saute was delicious with a soy-based sauce. The pork loin had a good volume and a familiar, gentle flavor. The sides were quite cold, which wasn't my preference. The Omelette Rice was a classic dish with ketchup rice wrapped in a thin layer of egg and topped with ketchup, bacon, mushrooms, and green peas. It was also quite filling, but the sweetness was a bit too much for me, so I added Worcestershire sauce to balance it out. Overall, the restaurant had a retro vibe in both its appearance and taste, and it felt like enjoying history along with a satisfying meal.

I visited for the first time. I really wanted to eat hashed beef rice, but they were sold out due to the time. I couldn't decide between omurice or curry, so I ended up ordering napolitan. Then I remembered I had it last night and regretted my choice. Well, it was just okay. Considering the price, it's kind of mediocre. This is just my personal opinion. If I had chosen hashed beef rice or omurice, my opinion might have been different...

Visited on Monday at noon. Arrived at 11:35 and signed my name. Was told to come back by 12:20, so I killed time nearby and returned, and was seated right away. I wanted to try the beef stew after seeing reviews, so I ordered the "Plentiful Lunch" (2,000 yen, includes corn soup + beef stew + spaghetti + ice cream) and the omurice (1,450 yen). The food was served in about 10 minutes. The beef stew initially seemed a bit small in portion, but it came with about 5 pieces of meat, green beans, and potatoes. The meat was incredibly tender and flavorful, living up to its reputation. The omurice had a thick layer of rice under a thin layer of egg, very filling. The spaghetti was like traditional style. Honestly, I thought the prices were a bit high. Luckily, I got to try the beef stew in a set, but it's 3,000 yen for just the stew alone, which is too pricey for me. While the beef stew was as expected, the omurice and spaghetti didn't impress me as much. It's a classic Western-style restaurant, so if you like that, you'll enjoy it.

Upon opening, reception started immediately, and it was announced that entry would be possible at 12:30 after 10 minutes. Upon being seated at the counter, a space filled with the pleasant smell of beef stew and fried food. The cute Yoshikami mark was charming. The orders included beef stew, bread set, omurice, and salad set. The beef stew was made with carefully boiled vegetables and potato fries. The rich sauce and tender meat that melts in your mouth are irresistible. The omurice had a generous amount of chicken rice, showcasing the high quality of the Western-style restaurant. Although the prices are quite high, it was enjoyable to watch the process of making the beef stew and wrapping the omurice up close, making the wait time fun.

I visited the long-established Western-style restaurant "Yoshikami" in Asakusa. The store has a historic and charming appearance, suddenly appearing in the hustle and bustle of Asakusa. Handwritten menus with a nostalgic touch are displayed on the window outside the store. The signboard of the store also retains a retro design full of charm. Today, I had beef stew and hashed beef with rice. The demi-glace sauce, simmered carefully for a long time, is a precious treasure of the restaurant's taste. Each nearby Western-style restaurant has a different flavor, but Yoshikami's sauce is rich and flavorful, with a delicious aroma that is irresistible. The stew, served in a small silver dish about 15 centimeters in size, had large pieces of tender meat, along with potatoes, mushrooms, and green beans. The soup and salad set recommended when ordering was also good. Especially the soup, a classic corn soup, was gentle, fragrant, and delicious, making me feel warm inside. It's incomparable to the soup bar at chain restaurants, with a deep and impressive flavor. The hashed beef with rice was also rich and very delicious. This dish is limited in quantity, so it's recommended to go early. If there is a wait, you can pass the time at the nearby batting center (game center), which is also recommended. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice, and the tableware has a cute feel to it. Personally, I recommend sitting at the counter. You can watch the skilled chefs in action in the kitchen, almost like a live kitchen, and enjoy your meal. Please visit at least once.

All the staff are friendly and welcoming, especially towards families with children, which gives this cafe a traditional charm. While waiting for your meal, you can enjoy watching flambe or the skilled handling of the frying pan. When I tried to order a single item, I was informed that for the same price, I could get a set with corn soup and salad. I ordered the 150g sirloin steak for ¥4700, and my child had the same set with a pork cutlet sandwich. The garlic soy sauce that you can only find here is amazing! It's light, so you can enjoy it without getting tired of the flavor. The corn soup was also delicious and piping hot. There are so many menu options that it's hard to decide what to order next! It's a bit pricey, so next time I might try something other than steak... haha

I visited for the first time. When I arrived at around 12:40, there was a card at the door saying there was a 50-minute wait. I gave my name to the manager and was told to come back around 13:30. When I returned at that time, my name was just being called and I was seated inside. The menu and storefront say "So delicious, we're sorry!" and they are confident in their taste, which was indeed delicious. I had the beef stew, shrimp gratin, and ham salad. The ham salad had the original dressing mixed well with the vegetables, making it tasty until the end. The dressing had a gentle acidity that was nice. The beef stew with demi-glace sauce was incredibly delicious. The rich and flavorful sauce was great, even though I usually don't like demi-glace sauce. The meat was tender and melted in my mouth. The stew had carrots, potatoes, green beans, mushrooms, and more, providing a satisfying meal. It's best to order rice or bread with it. The shrimp gratin was perfectly baked, with a nice balance of crispy cheese on top and hot sauce inside. There were plenty of ingredients, showing the effort put into it. Personally, I prefer a thicker cream sauce, but the lightness of this one was also good. The staff was numerous, with about 7-8 people cooking behind the counter and 5-6 serving. They needed this many staff to handle the large number of customers. The family next to me had children eating hashed beef rice and steak, which looked good, so I plan to try that next time.

Two people visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. When they arrived at 2:00, the staff at the entrance told them they could enter at 2:30, so they left their names and returned at 2:30. Despite the unusual time, the restaurant was almost full, with many chefs in the kitchen wearing cooking hats, giving off a lively and popular retro Western-style restaurant vibe. They ordered the following items: - Combination Salad for 1050 yen - Pork Saute for 1600 yen - Chicken Saute for 1350 yen - Combination Salad for 1050 yen The canned white asparagus in the salad exuded a refined Showa-era elegance, and the generous amount of mayonnaise on top added a surprisingly gentle and delicious flavor. The pork saute was thick and juicy, with a gentle soy sauce flavor that was not too strong or too sweet, striking a balance between delicious and approachable. The chicken saute was beautifully presented and visually appealing, with a crispy skin and flavorful meat. In conclusion, the restaurant had a very old-fashioned charm, with a lively atmosphere in both the dining area and the kitchen. The salads and meat dishes reflected the highest level of Showa-era Western cuisine, with a high price tag that was justified by the beautiful presentation and skilled craftsmanship of the chefs. While the mayonnaise-heavy salad was not to the reviewer's taste, it still exuded an elegant Showa-era charm. They expressed a desire to try the slightly more expensive beef stew on their next visit.

I don't go on weekends because there's always a long line, but I happened to pass by on a weekday when it was empty, so I decided to visit. The lunch set costs 2,000 yen, which is a bit luxurious for a salaryman's lunch. On this day, the lunch set included crab fried rice and pork cutlet. It also came with soup and coffee for 2,000 yen, which is a better deal than ordering items separately. The corn soup was rich and creamy, and the crab fried rice was surprisingly light and not greasy like I expected. The pork cutlet was tender, unlike the tough ones I've had before. The homemade potato salad and fresh cabbage on the side were also delicious. What impressed me the most was the attentive service despite the shortage of staff in this day and age. The veteran waiter was exceptional and his thoughtfulness was evident. While popular restaurants often focus on the chef, this place's star is definitely the experienced waiter who has been running the show for a long time. The kitchen staff was also fully staffed on a weekday, which made me realize the amount of preparation that must go into each dish. With delicious food and excellent service, I left the restaurant feeling satisfied.

I was once called the biggest gourmet boy in Naniwa (Osaka). I ate various dishes with a happy face. I came to Asakusa in Tokyo with a distinctive style - a red striped shirt, pants, hat, and Lloyd glasses. I am known as Tondorinotarou. The beef cutlet I tried was amazing, with black sauce and a brown batter. The salad was cold, the meat was tenderloin, and even the rice was delicious. The beginning of my love story with Yosikami started at this beef cutlet restaurant. The salad and soup were both delicious. I didn't need to hold back. Even without saying a word, I smiled and took another bite. The beef cutlet was a golden color. My grandfather was also a foodie in Naniwa. I am still overweight because I am a foodie too. It's wonderful to have a big appetite and money. Even if you have no sense of taste, I still love you. Oh beloved cutlet, my stomach trembles for you. I will eat you up without hesitation. Is this a dream or reality? At that moment, I jumped into the beef cutlet bill without hesitation. I paid 3,500 yen, but the important beef cutlet was in my stomach. The best part is in Asakusa, Tokyo. I couldn't stop laughing. Gourmet Boy.

I visited the famous restaurant Yoshikami in Asakusa for the first time! I ordered the famous beef stew, menchi katsu cutlet, and a half salad. Enjoying the menchi katsu cutlet with a glass of wine was the best. The meat in the beef stew was tender and easily fell apart with chopsticks, melting in my mouth as soon as I took a bite.

Yoshikami is a famous Western-style restaurant in Asakusa known for its catchphrase "Sorry for being too delicious!" The restaurant is decorated with celebrity signatures, red and white tablecloths, and the chef's uniform, creating a unique Yoshikami world. I visited on a weekday evening at 6:30 pm and was able to sit at the counter without waiting. Watching the chefs cook, fry, flambe, and plate dishes was entertaining and engaging. I always order the combination salad, which I enjoy with French fries, but this time I tried the crab gratin. While the crab flavor was subtle, the macaroni and béchamel sauce were delicious. The crab gratin costs 1,750 yen and the combination salad costs 1,050 yen. Yoshikami offers a taste of Showa-era and Asakusa, serving Japanese Western-style dishes that pair well with rice. It's no wonder the restaurant is always bustling with customers.

On a regular Monday, 15 minutes before opening at 11:15 am. There are 15 people in line. I had given up on waiting during this time, but today the sun is strong and hot, but I can wait in the shade and occasionally feel a nice breeze. I rarely have the opportunity to come to Asakusa before lunch for work. Moreover, it's only available on Mondays... Alright, I'm going to line up! I want to try the Monday lunch that was mentioned in the previous review. The reason why Monday lunch is good is because you can eat the famous beef stew. If you order the beef stew alone, it costs around 3,000 yen, which is already out of my reach! 10 minutes before opening, there are already 20 people lined up behind me. I'm glad I decided to line up immediately. Let's go inside. I'm seated at a 2-person table instead of the counter. It would have been nice to see the cooking up close at the counter, but it's okay. Of course, I order the "Generous Lunch" (2,000 yen) that I came for! It's a super luxurious lunch for someone like me who is not well off. The Monday generous lunch includes beef stew and Neapolitan as the main dishes. First, the corn soup arrives. I'll have it while it's still hot. It's not particularly special, but it tastes good with the atmosphere of the restaurant. About 10 minutes after ordering, the beef stew arrives! Let's dig into the beef stew right away. I see, it's delicious! A proper stew. The taste is rich and flavorful. The balance of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness is good. And it's not just the ingredients, it's a proper stew. This is the beef stew that a professional would make based on my favorite beef stew that my mother used to make with roux when I was a child. The beef stew my mother made when I was a child is the best, with the nostalgia factor, but this stew is quite good too. The ingredients are substantial, with the meat being properly present. The meat has a firm texture but is tender. It's the type that becomes tender along the fibers. The stew is well blended with the flavors of sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. The vegetables like carrots, mushrooms, green beans, and even fried potatoes were in it. The taste of the stew doesn't overpower the individual flavors of each ingredient. Well, the carrots are sweet and seasoned, I wonder? Well, I want bread or rice! Then, the other main dish, Neapolitan, arrives! But I'll finish the beef stew while it's still hot first... (enjoying the beef stew) It was delicious. Now, let's try the Neapolitan. It's delicious. The pasta is chewy. Al dente? I don't know, who's that? That's the Japanese Neapolitan. It would be nice if there were bell peppers, but still, it's a pretty delicious Neapolitan. What I felt with this Neapolitan is the satisfying feeling of being substantial. It's very satisfying when I finish eating, even though it's delicious. The servers move quickly and efficiently. They clean up as soon as they see you finish eating. They quickly bring out the ice cream at the right time. This ice cream is also rich and delicious. It reminded me of the Lady Borden I used to eat as a child. Well, I don't usually eat ice cream, so it was good. Well, I'm glad I waited in line. Thank you for the meal!

I usually use this place for lunch. It's a famous restaurant, so it's always crowded. When I arrived at 11:50, they told me to write my name down and come back in 30 minutes, and the waiting time on the board outside changed to 40 minutes. But when I went back after 20 minutes, I was able to enter right away. Inside, there were 6 kitchen staff working hard. It's small, but the tables are spaced out nicely. There is also a hall in the back, so it has a decent capacity. I ordered the daily lunch set for 2,000 yen. The contents change depending on the day of the week, and on Mondays, you can choose between beef stew and Napolitan pasta, with corn soup and coffee or ice cream after the meal. I found the Monday lunch the most appealing. The corn soup was a bit bland, I wished it had a stronger broth flavor. The beef stew was delicious, with tender beef and a rich sauce, but I wished it came with some bread. I didn't really need the green beans, potatoes, and mushrooms in it. The Napolitan pasta was good, a classic taste. The ice cream was nice too. There were 4 staff in the dining area, they were attentive and quick to clear plates. The hospitality at this Western-style restaurant was excellent. Thank you for the meal.
