I visited on Thursday at 12:30 pm, entered without waiting, and found the restaurant empty. I ordered the thick-cut pork cutlet bowl. Although there were no condiments on the table, soy sauce and shichimi were provided. It took about 20 minutes for the thick-cut pork cutlet to be fried. The portion was quite large with plenty of rice. The miso soup served was pork miso soup, and it came with pickled Chinese cabbage and cucumber. It was delicious.

Located a 1-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke. Lately, I've been making it a habit to explore new lunch spots during my walks. Before I knew it, I had been walking for about 30 minutes. I stumbled upon a restaurant that seemed to be connected to a sauna or a hotel. The interior was quite spacious, with a tatami area that appeared to be exclusive to hotel guests. The restaurant specialized in tonkatsu dishes, including a unique katsudon that caught my eye. I asked the staff for a recommendation and ended up ordering the curry. It arrived in about 8 minutes, and I was surprised by the portion size – it was huge. The curry was slightly spicy, but the quality of the tonkatsu was surprisingly good for the price. Although being on the third floor might seem a bit disadvantageous for a street-level restaurant, I think it might be a great option for a sauna meal. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing, making it a good place to enjoy a leisurely meal. One thing that bothered me was the distance between the cashier and the seating area, which could be a bit inconvenient during busy times. Overall, I was satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

As soon as you exit Akasaka Station, you are greeted by a sign along Misuji Street that leads you to an elevator up to the 3rd floor, where you will find a spa, sauna, and a capsule hotel with a dining area attached. Of course, dining alone is also possible. It seems to have recently opened, as the restaurant is spacious and clean. The katsudon consists of hot rice topped with onions and egg simmered in broth, along with freshly fried tonkatsu. The onions have a crunchy texture, and the tonkatsu has a good thickness and chewiness. For an extra 500 yen, you can get a thicker cut. The broth is not too strong, with a light flavor that seeps into the bottom of the rice. It has a strong and satisfying taste with its heat and texture. The meal also comes with pickles and pork miso soup, leaving you feeling full. While the katsudon at a standing soba shop is not bad, sometimes it's worth paying extra for a katsudon with a fulfilling eating experience in a relaxed atmosphere that you can't get from two visits to a standing soba shop. Next time, I want to try the tonkatsu with sauce, but I'm also curious about the "spicy Taiwanese ramen" in the bottom right corner of the menu.

The tonkatsu donburi was huge and the tonkatsu was thick. I also recommend the tonkatsu set meal. Today's tonkatsu was a bit tough in some parts, so it would be better if it was more tender. The miso soup that came with it was also satisfying with a generous portion.
