★Selected as one of the "Top 100 Western-style Restaurants in Japan 2022" by Tabelog★ I visited seiohtei Shinjuku store at the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan! It's been a while since I went shopping, so I headed to Isetan in Shinjuku. Isetan, which captivates women all over Japan. My future dream is to work in foreign trade♪ While imagining such things, I did some window shopping today, which always makes me excited. After finishing window shopping, I headed to the 7th floor of the same building. Since I had already searched on the Tabelog app, I went straight there after getting off the escalator (laughs). Only seiohtei had a solemn presence. The waiter guided me to a table seat. It seemed that only table seats were available, and surprisingly, it felt quite spacious. There were transparent partitions for splash prevention with sufficient spacing. The customers in the restaurant were all elegant. I opened the menu right away, and all the prices were quite high. What I chose was the Black Wagyu Beef Cutlet Curry for 3,190 yen, and I upgraded to a large portion. A rich corn potage soup came with it. After about a 10-minute wait, the Cutlet Curry was served. The Black Wagyu beef was amazing (laughs) with a rare style in the center. It was fried to perfection. It was so tender that it tore apart easily when bitten. The juiciness overflowed in the mouth, and the juiciness level was top-notch nationwide. Not only the Black Wagyu beef but the curry was also incredibly delicious. It was a thick curry that coated the Black Wagyu beef cutlet well, and the harmony with rice was excellent. It wasn't too spicy, but a subtle spiciness came later, giving it a delayed kick. The rich flavor was quite addictive, and it was a curry that you could eat as many bowls as you wanted without getting tired of it. Although the restaurant offered hamburgers and steaks, I was glad I chose the Cutlet Curry and was very satisfied. I will challenge the hamburger next time I go window shopping! (laughs) Thank you for the meal! It was delicious!

When I went to Tokyo with my mother, we ate a delicious hamburger with Demi-Glace sauce that had a nostalgic and deep flavor. The attention to detail and handmade quality made it a unique experience that we couldn't find elsewhere. The service at Isetan was excellent, and we had a wonderful time that we will always remember. Thank you very much.

I went in thinking of having Napolitan, but the photo of Beef Cutlet Curry caught my attention, so I decided to try it for the first time. The Beef Cutlet Curry came as a set with soup and a drink. The meat looked a bit thin compared to the menu photo. The meat in the Beef Cutlet was not bad, but just average. The curry wasn't very spicy and had a slightly creamy taste. The rice portion was too much for me, so I couldn't finish it (sorry). I probably won't come back for this dish. For dessert, I had Coffee Jelly with mascarpone cream on top. The cream was very rich and creamy, almost overwhelming the mascarpone flavor. The coffee jelly at the bottom had a firm texture, more like agar than jelly. I wish there was more coffee jelly to balance out the cream.

Having a solo meal in Shinjuku. It was still hot even though the sun had set, so I didn't feel like walking around too much. I decided to go underground and head to Isetan. After checking out the basement food floor, I went up to the seventh floor to have some Western food. I ordered a plate with a choice of dishes: today's soup, hamburger, crab cream croquette, bread, and iced coffee. Crab cream croquettes are really tricky. They taste good, but the more carefully you make the bechamel sauce, the more the cream starts to dominate, causing the issue of where the crab went. Well, honestly, I just wanted to eat cream croquettes, so the filling doesn't necessarily have to be crab. But once it's labeled as "crab," you start to crave that crab flavor. I would prefer a dish with distinct characteristics, like chicken or ham. The hamburger was delicious and had a clear, juicy texture. It was a typical Western-style hamburger. And the demi-glace sauce, once again, was delicious. The bitterness, sweetness, and fruity notes, along with a solid body, paired well with the meat juices from the hamburger. I realized once again that the charm of Western food lies in the delicious sauces. Although Western food has evolved uniquely in Japan, its roots are still in French cuisine. Eating at a restaurant inside a department store may not be suitable for a special date, but on the other hand, it's perfect for a solo diner to enjoy delicious Western food without any reservations. It's truly a convenient and appreciated option.

I am usually a nocturnal creature, but since last week I have been out and about in Ikebukuro, Ueno, and Shinjuku during the day. Whenever I return to Shinjuku, I find myself having lunch, and without hesitation, I head to Isetan Shinjuku (haha). Last Friday, after a long time, I had a meal at Nishizakuraya and the food was so delicious that I ended up going there for three days in a row (haha). They say you can tell the quality of a Chinese restaurant by their fried rice and a Western restaurant by their soup, and the soup I had over the weekend, the salad I had yesterday, and the gratin I had today were all absolutely delicious! A great start to August! Thank you for the meal ^_^

I had the cherry blossom bento for lunch at the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan. It had a variety of items in small portions, and the cut steak was particularly juicy! The gratin was also delicious with plenty of shrimp, although I felt it was a bit expensive. However, considering the atmosphere of the restaurant and the quality of the food, I think it was reasonable. The staff were attentive and quick to refill our water.

I used it for lunch. The restaurant was located inside Isetan department store, and it was crowded until lunchtime on holidays. However, everyone was very efficient, so the waiting time was not too long both before entering the restaurant and after being seated. I had corn soup, hamburger, and crab cream croquette, all of which tasted delicious with a nostalgic flavor. The staff were also very friendly to children, which was much appreciated.

Visit date: 7/17/2023 I visited a restaurant that I had been curious about from reviews for the first time today. I made a reservation and visited at night. Located on the 7th floor of Isetan in Shinjuku, the clientele is upscale, including families, but the atmosphere was quiet and nice. I ordered the pork cutlet curry this time, which was as delicious as the reviews said. The service was also very polite. I would like to come back to eat again.

I planned to visit the cheese specialist shop Esperia, but unfortunately they were closed on Sundays. So, I decided to stroll around Okubo. On the way, I came across Isetan and decided to head to the restaurant area. It was crowded everywhere, but Nishizakuraya wasn't too busy, so I waited a bit and was seated. I ordered the bento box, which is their specialty, and got to try a little bit of everything. Despite being full, I ordered an additional pudding for dessert and left feeling happy. While I also enjoy Komyo-ya in Shitaya, I think Nishizakuraya is my favorite due to its convenience.

I went at night. I entered the shop just before the last order, so it was not crowded. The atmosphere was calm, as expected in Takashimaya. The prices were a bit high, but the food was delicious enough. Thank you for the meal.

Sakura Plate for 4,730 yen includes black wagyu cut steak, shrimp fry, crab cream croquette, rice, and coffee. Located in the Isetan Shinjuku restaurant floor, this classy Western-style restaurant offers a variety of dishes. I visited right after opening on Saturday at 11 am. I wanted to try different dishes, so I ordered the Sakura Plate. In addition to the black wagyu cut steak, you can choose two items from "hamburger, shrimp fry, shrimp gratin, crab cream croquette, menchi katsu." Since I had limited time until my next appointment, I asked for the shrimp fry and crab cream croquette. The cut steak was tender with good quality meat, although I found it a bit fatty. The shrimp fry and crab cream croquette were typical Western-style dishes. However, considering the cost performance, it was not that great.

I wanted to eat a set meal with hamburger and fried shrimp, so I searched on Tabelog and visited this place. It was Sunday afternoon but I didn't have to wait in line to get in, maybe because it was raining? You can choose between two main dishes, rice or bread, and coffee or tea for the set meal. It took a bit of time for the food to be served, but the relaxed atmosphere inside made it tolerable. I ordered the hamburger and gratin set, but I wish I had chosen the hamburger and fried shrimp instead. The lunch cost around 3000 yen, which seemed reasonable considering the location. The hamburger was delicious.

I went to a shop on the 7th floor of Shinjuku Isetan. I was torn between choosing the Menchi Katsu cutlet and the Hamburg steak, but ended up ordering the Hamburg steak. The Demi-glace sauce used in the Hamburg steak has a flavor that has been passed down for 50 years since the establishment of the shop. The Hamburg steak, cut into bite-sized pieces with juices overflowing, was delicious when combined with the Demi-glace sauce. It was probably the most delicious Demi-glace sauce Hamburg steak I have ever had.

The juicy red meat wrapped in crispy coating, balanced well with the rich curry. The lean meat and light coating made it not too heavy. It came with corn potage soup and a drink. It had been a while since I had lunch at a Western-style restaurant. I was tempted by the classic menu items like shrimp fry and hamburger. There were so many things I wanted to eat, so I always struggled with choosing from the menu.

I had plans in Shinjuku and decided to go to Nishizakuraya located on the 7th floor of Isetan. When I arrived around 3pm on Monday, there were only a few customers inside. I chose the plate set with shrimp gratin and minced cutlet, which also came with a salad. After about 5 minutes, the salad and corn potage arrived. The salad was nothing special, so I'll skip that. The corn potage had just the right flavor and was delicious. I thought to myself that it's worth paying nearly 1000 yen for this taste. When I finished, the main plate arrived. The minced cutlet was well-balanced, not too meaty but still juicy, and paired well with the demi-glace sauce. The gratin was also delicious. The atmosphere was elegant, with sophisticated customers around, creating a pleasant dining experience. It was a very satisfying meal. Thank you for the meal.

The prices are a bit high, with Beef Katsu around 5000 yen, but they offer a variety of Western dishes that you may want to try. The Menchi Katsu is very juicy and highly recommended!

It's called the "Choose Your Plate" for 2,970 yen, which includes soup, rice or bread, and coffee or tea. First, the corn potage arrived. It was rich and full of the flavor of corn, with a smooth and creamy texture. After finishing the soup, the mains arrived promptly. I chose the hamburger steak and menchi-katsu cutlet. The hamburger steak had a dense meat texture, tightly packed. The demi-glace sauce had a deep flavor, but the patty itself was quite ordinary. The menchi-katsu cutlet was crispy and juicy, with the meat juices flowing out when you bite into it. The meat flavor was rich and delicious. Also, the side of potatoes had a surprisingly gooey texture and was delicious. However, the portions of both the hamburger and menchi-katsu were small, and honestly, the cost performance was not great. With this portion size, I think men may find it lacking. In conclusion, although it's a bit pricey, if you want to enjoy delicious food in small portions elegantly, this place can meet your needs, so it's best to use it considering the occasion. The steak is made from domestic beef, so it's safe and delicious. The hamburger is packed full of filling and tasty. Despite being a weekday, the spacious restaurant was about 80% full. I ordered the Black Wagyu Beef Cutlet Curry for 3190 yen. The tender Black Wagyu beef cutlet with a crispy thin coating melted in my mouth, and the rich European-style curry with a hint of spice complemented the Wagyu perfectly.
