For dinner, I went to a famous Western-style restaurant in Hiroo. I arrived a few minutes before the 5:00 opening time and waited outside while looking at the menu. Right on time, a staff member came up from below and flipped the OPEN sign. They told me to choose any seat I liked, so I chose a table in front of the clock. Each table had a different design and atmosphere, giving off a luxurious mansion-like vibe. I ordered the omurice with white sauce instead of ketchup. It arrived in less than 10 minutes, looking absolutely beautiful. The ketchup rice and egg were delicious as always, but the white sauce, which turned out to be béchamel sauce, was rich and flavorful, complementing the dish perfectly. It was so delicious that I was truly impressed. I enjoyed every bite and finished the whole plate. Although I wish there were set menu options available, eating a single dish left me quite full. The ambiance was lovely, and I appreciated the individual serving. It was really delicious!

Known as a master of omurice, the chef has been featured in the media for his culinary skills. The restaurant has a classic Western-style atmosphere with around 25 seats at the counter and tables. I tried the "Omurice (large portion)" for dine-in, priced at ¥1,400. You can choose between ketchup or white sauce for the omurice, and I opted for ketchup this time. After a 10-minute wait, the exquisite omurice was served. The perfectly cooked egg with a consistent texture, simple yet flavorful ingredients like chicken and onions, and the harmonious blend of egg, sauce, and chicken rice make this omurice outstanding. Upon descending the stairs and entering, it was past 12:00 on a weekday, yet there were only 1 or 2 other customers. I was surprised as I had expected it to be packed. I was dining alone, but was told I could sit wherever I liked, so I chose a seat at the back where I could oversee the restaurant. There were only tables for 4 people, so I felt a bit awkward. I ordered the Hayashi Rice for 1300 yen and the Chilled Pumpkin Soup for 660 yen. The soup was served first, and it was a much larger portion than I had anticipated. I realized that the soup's price was higher compared to the main dish. The natural sweetness of the pumpkin was quite strong, almost too sweet for my taste. Personally, I think half the amount would have been better. The Hayashi Rice was served shortly after. The portion was on the smaller side, but the flavor was rich and balanced, not too heavy. It was delicious, and I wanted more. The Omelette Rice is apparently famous, but as expected from a renowned restaurant, the Hayashi Rice was also delicious. I'll try the Omelette Rice next time.

On June 20, 2023, I visited the restaurant for dinner as I couldn't make it for lunch. It was about a 15-minute walk from Roppongi. I walked up Gyu-zaka from the Nishi-Azabu intersection, and despite it being June, I ended up sweating quite a bit. I arrived at the opening time of 5:30 PM and was the first customer. I ordered the Omu-rice with ketchup sauce for 1,200 yen and an iced coffee for 500 yen. I received the iced coffee first, and after climbing Gyu-zaka in the heat, it was very delicious. The Omu-rice arrived in about 10 minutes. It was a beautifully shaped Omu-rice. I started eating from the part without ketchup, and it was delicious even as it was. I finally got to visit a restaurant I've been wanting to go to for a long time. When I went before, it was closed unexpectedly, so I made sure to contact them before going this time.
