This is a review of a Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown at the food floor of Takashimaya in Tamagawa. I came across fresh spring rolls that only needed to be fried when I visited Futakotamagawa. I wanted to skip the effort of making dinner, but pre-made side dishes didn't appeal to me. So, the spring rolls were just right. I bought a pack of 5 for 1,026 yen. I also found the red roasted pork that I had bought at Nihonbashi Takashimaya and Tamagawa Takashimaya before. There were 3 packs of 100g for 702 yen left, but I chose the one with less fat. I fried the spring rolls at home and they were delicious when eaten hot. The crispy skin was fragrant, and the ingredients like pork, bamboo shoots, and shiitake mushrooms were good. The ingredients were well seasoned, so no additional condiments were needed. The hint of oyster sauce was just right. The red roasted pork, although I prefer the block type, was still tasty in slices. I ate it with green onions, and it had a classic and refined deliciousness. Despite having more fat, grilling it helped to remove excess oil, so it didn't feel greasy. Buying semi-prepared food and finishing it at home seems to be a new favorite for me.

★I arrived at 2 pm on Saturday★There was no wait★I wanted to eat black sesame flavor, so I bought the product called "black sesame" right away, but the contents turned out to be... red bean paste? Where is the black sesame? Is it the one on top of the skin? I was a little disappointed. Are there many disappointments today? ★Despite the price not being particularly high, it cost around 200 yen★Unfortunately, this is not something I would buy again★★I can only give it a 2 out of 5 rating.

On this weekend, I went to the Tokyu line to buy ingredients. I visited the food floor on the basement floor of Takashimaya Department Store in Tamagawa. I couldn't find the Beijing duck or chili prawns that I bought at Shinbashi-tei in the basement of Tokyu Department Store in Shibuya, so I looked around the same floor, but couldn't find them anywhere. The restaurants on the upper floors seemed to be there, but the bento and deli section had closed. I ended up visiting this section, which is found in various Takashimaya stores. This section is a bento and deli section of a long-established high-end Chinese restaurant in Yokohama Chinatown. While Kaseiro's store is known for mooncakes and shumai, I was looking for some deli dishes for dinner on this day. Among the various options, I decided to buy a three-item deli assortment that seemed just right. It included chili prawns, shredded pork with green peppers, and chicken with cashew nuts stir-fry, each 100g, for a total of 1383 yen including tax. When I tried them at home, all the dishes were delicious. They were orthodox and had a high-quality taste. Considering the customer base of Takashimaya, it makes sense to have this section in each store. I think it's fine, but it's still disappointing that the Shinbashi-tei section that had been there for over 20 years is gone. I will visit Tokyu Department Store again.

In search of delicious meat buns, I visited several shops and finally found the meat buns at Kashorou. Since then, I have purchased them many times, they are my favorite (*^▽^*)♡ - Meat Buns 486 yen A big, fluffy meat bun that makes me happy with its size (*^▽^*)♡ The skin is fluffy, slightly sweet, and delicious on its own (*^▽^*)♡ As for the filling, the ingredients are not clearly listed, but I think it's simple. Probably minced meat, bamboo shoots, onions... cut into small pieces about 2-3mm. The filling has a nice texture with some minced feeling, and the seasoning is slightly salty with a hint of sweetness. The oyster sauce adds a nice touch. Eating it with the fluffy skin is just right (*^▽^*)♡ The meat juice soaked into the skin is also delicious (*^▽^*)♡ The balance of filling and skin is good. I'm happy that there is no smell of artificial seasonings or a thickening agent-like texture. "I ate a delicious meat bun~♡" and you can feel satisfied from the bottom of your heart. I will continue to buy them♪

I discovered this shop at Yokohama Takashimaya and have been purchasing from the Nihonbashi Takashimaya branch ever since. They have delicious meat buns, but today I noticed their sticky rice shumai and bought both that and their dumplings. The sticky rice shumai was delicious (I forgot to take a photo before eating). The dumplings were also as tasty as always. This place has become my favorite for Chinese food lately.

I wanted to eat a delicious meat bun, so I went to Kaseirou. The price was raised to 464 yen including tax, and I steamed it for 20 minutes to enjoy it. When I cut it in half, the meat juice overflowed. But when I tasted it, I found the seasoning of the meat was very strong and salty. In the past, I have bought shrimp chili from the store at Takashimaya, Yokohama Chinatown, but it is a bit expensive for everyday consumption. This time, I bought a meat bun for 420 yen from Kaseirou and steamed it properly for 20 minutes. It turned out to be big, fluffy, and delicious. The simple dough with a flavorful meat filling was enjoyable with a little bit of mustard. I'm glad I followed the instructions to steam it instead of microwaving it.

The other day, I went to Takashimaya in Futakotamagawa and thought I'd like to eat some nikuman (steamed meat bun). I bought nikuman from Kashoryu, which costs over 400 yen. The size is big and most importantly, it's delicious! I've been eating Kashoryu's nikuman since I was young, and I still haven't found any better ones than here! I steamed it at home immediately and enjoyed it hot! It's a bit of a hassle to steam it yourself, but freshly steamed nikuman is the best. Be careful of burns when taking it out and eating it because it's hot! The meat juice overflowing from the inside is soaked into the skin and delicious. The part of the skin that is soaked is also delicious, and the part that is not soaked is also tasty, which is a feature of Kashoryu's nikuman. The slightly rich tasting filling is full of meat and has a good volume, and the bamboo shoots as an accent are great too. It was delicious today too. Since it's big, one piece fills you up, but it's so delicious that you could eat as many as you want! (laughs)

My father came to visit after a long time and brought "Kashoryu" meat buns as a gift. Whenever we returned from Yokohama in the past, we always used to get takeout from "Kashoryu". The taste is nostalgic and they sell it at Takashimaya as well. He said not to use the microwave, so I took out the steamer from the back of the kitchen. The bun has a sweet and fluffy skin with plenty of bamboo shoots inside, giving it a satisfying texture. It's a taste you can't go wrong with. It's a world of difference from convenience store meat buns. Once you've had "Kashoryu" meat buns, you can't go back to convenience store ones! It was nostalgic. Thank you for the meal!

Hua Sheng Lou in Yokohama Chinatown has a grand appearance and is a long-established large store. You can easily take out food here. Hua Sheng Lou is famous for its meat buns, which are delicious. However, we often use it for side dishes. We have tried siu mai, Chinjao Rosu, meatballs, shrimp chili, and yuba rolls. They are all authentic and delicious. Especially recommended is the yuba roll. It is full of ingredients and rich in flavor, with a satisfying taste. The price is around 160 yen, which is great. It may be only at this store, but sometimes they offer discounts in the evening. It is recommended when you want to enjoy high-class restaurant dishes easily at home.

In our house, when it comes to meat buns, it's always Hua Sheng Lou. Whenever we visit Yokohama Chinatown, we always make sure to stop by this shop. This time, we purchased some from the Tamagawa-ya store in Futakotamagawa. The meat buns are filled with plenty of juicy meat filling, which is deliciously meaty and flavorful. Occasionally, you can feel the crunch of bamboo shoots in the meat filling, adding a nice texture. The seasoning is just right, and even though the meat buns are large, you can easily finish them in one go. The shumai is also from Hua Sheng Lou, and just like the meat buns, it is meaty and delicious. Hua Sheng Lou manages to bring out the deliciousness of the meat without any unpleasant meaty smell.

I got takeout from the underground food market. Among Chinese pastries, I like almond cookies and pineapple cakes. Chinese pastries are something I have been eating since I was a child at a shop in Yokohama Chinatown. While it doesn't quite compare to that, it was decent.
