After visiting the grave, we went to have lunch. I ordered the fried horse mackerel set meal, and was pleasantly surprised to find four small but delicious pieces. The set also came with Chinese-style egg soup and side dishes, so I ended up feeling very full. I couldn't finish one of the pieces, so I asked to take it home, but it was still crispy and tasty. The person next to me ordered the daily special set meal, which included water dumplings, oil-splashed chicken, and side dishes. It was also a generous portion with lots of vegetables, so not only was it filling but also well-balanced in terms of nutrition.

The Donko Shiitake Mushroom Noodles had a big impact. The shiitake mushroom broth was delicious and the dish was filled with more mushrooms than noodles. It was packed with mushrooms! It was a weekday afternoon but the restaurant was full. The other set meals and noodles looked delicious too, so I would like to visit again.

I usually always eat the same three types of dumplings, but this time I tried something different! I had "takushi-meshi," which was a dish I had never tried before. It was delicious, but surprisingly spicy. I wish they had warned me about the spiciness beforehand.

When I come to Futakotamagawa for shopping, I often stop by this shop. The atmosphere is nice and the menu is extensive. It caters to both those looking for a meal and those wanting to have a fun time drinking with friends. I usually drive to Futakotamagawa, so I just have a meal, and always order the gyoza and noodles. This time, I had the mushroom and mushroom noodles. The broth was flavorful and satisfying, and it was delicious.

Visited for lunch on a weekend. Arrived at 12:30 and there were two groups ahead of us. Waited for about 15 minutes before being seated at the counter to place our order. All the menu items are around 1000 yen, so it's quite reasonable. The white sesame tantanmen is 990 yen, and the cold black sesame tantanmen (seasonal) is 1000 yen. The large dumplings are 700 yen. The white sesame tantanmen has chewy noodles with a creamy soup that is delicious. Definitely recommend trying it when you visit. The cold black sesame tantanmen may be spicier than the white sesame tantanmen. The large dumplings are as the name suggests, quite filling, so we ended up taking some home. (They provide takeout packs and plastic bags for a fee.)

Located in the calm area of Futako-Tamagawa, "Gyokushun Futako-Tamagawa" is a restaurant I visited for a lunch meeting with business partners. It is about a 5-minute walk from Futako-Tamagawa Station, tucked away in a corner of Yagui-koji behind Takashimaya S.C. The restaurant has a white noren curtain hanging at the entrance, with a design featuring white walls and wooden counters, seating around 20 people which fills up quickly during lunchtime. The menu offers a variety of set meals, noodles, and 7 types of handmade gyoza. I opted for the following dish: - Oily Chicken Set Meal (1,000 yen) Served in just 15 minutes, the piping hot and juicy oily chicken was a delight to dig into! The crispy fried chicken pieces, about 5 of them, were topped with diced onions marinated in vinegar and chili oil, creating an appetizing presentation. The set meal also included rice, 2 side dishes, and a bowl of egg soup. Unable to resist, I took a bite of the oily chicken, breaking through the crispy coating to reveal the succulent and flavorful meat inside, complemented by the tangy vinegar and spicy chili oil. The flavors infused into the rice with each bite, creating an endless loop of deliciousness. I also tried a bite of the Mapo Tofu from my companion's dish, which had a great aroma of Sichuan pepper and a spicy yet addictive taste. Although it was sold out that day, I recommend trying the Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork Set Meal for the tempting pork chunks. Gyokushun is a reliable choice for a Chinese set meal lunch in Futako-Tamagawa.

I happened to find a place in Futakotamagawa where I could have lunch alone while walking. I ordered the oil-drizzled chicken set meal, and the amount of meat was plentiful, with a generous portion. It was too much to finish. There were counter seats, making it easy for one person to enter the restaurant.

【Specialty】Large Gyoza Set Meal (6 pieces) 900 yen This set meal includes rice, egg soup, and pickles for this price. This restaurant offers great value for money in this area. The gyoza is cooked from frozen once the order is placed. It seems that they used to offer boiled gyoza as well, but they now only serve pan-fried gyoza due to slow turnover of noodle dishes.

I wanted to eat dumplings, so I visited this restaurant for the first time. The large dumplings were sold out. I wish there was a sign at the entrance indicating what items are sold out. Perhaps because I couldn't have the large dumplings, my opinion may be a bit harsh. The eggplant and meat stir-fry bowl didn't taste good because the meat wasn't delicious. The leek and meat noodles weren't tasty because the noodles weren't good. The mini dumplings were not bad, but they might be tastier if they were frozen. The chopsticks looked like disposable ones, so even though they were washed, I wonder if they are being reused? It doesn't feel very pleasant.

On Saturday in Futakotamagawa, it was close to Halloween and very crowded. I found this restaurant by entering the alley behind Takashimaya after waiting outside for a while. I entered at 2:00 PM. The menu includes a variety of options such as Japanese and Chinese set meals, dumplings, rice dishes, and noodles. I had a hard time deciding, but I ordered the following: - Braised pork belly noodles (with seasoned egg) for 1,200 yen (for me) - Chinese ramen (with seasoned egg) for 980 yen (for my wife) Both dishes had a fairly strong flavor. The curly noodles may seem even more flavorful as they absorb the broth. The char siu and braised pork belly were rich and delicious. The restaurant is small, so be mindful of your surroundings when moving around. Thank you for the meal.

I arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm on Saturday. Luckily, there was a table available so I was seated quickly. The restaurant is located in a mall called Yanagikoji, just a short walk from Futako Tamagawa Station towards Takashimaya. The place has a nice atmosphere and offers reasonably priced menu items, making it accessible to everyone. I was torn between the white sesame tantan noodles and the Sichuan mapo tofu set, but I ended up choosing the mapo tofu after seeing a video of it on Instagram. The dish arrived in about 5-10 minutes, which is great for those in a hurry. The mapo tofu was spicier than I expected from the video, with a rich color and decent level of heat. As someone who enjoys spicy food but isn't great with it, I managed to finish it with the help of some rice. I also love the fluffy egg soup that comes with Chinese meals, and it didn't disappoint. However, I was a bit disappointed with the service as the staff seemed inattentive. They would refill water at the table next to us but not ours, even though our glasses were empty (which I really needed after the spicy mapo tofu). Also, we had to wait at the cashier for 2-3 minutes to pay. Overall, the restaurant is relatively new so I hope they improve their operations in the future.

Check out this blog about enjoying ramen and ginger rice in Futakotamagawa: https://oishiishashin.com/ Whenever I pass by, I always feel like having ramen. Today, I decided to try Tamaharu. The place was bustling, and they had a variety of set meals, but I stuck with my choice of ramen with two side dishes and ginger rice. The soup was light and flavorful, the noodles were delicious, the meat was tender, and the green onions added a nice touch. The ginger flavor in the rice complemented the soup well. I finished everything and left satisfied. Recommended points: Located behind Takashimaya in Futakotamagawa, the atmosphere by the window is bright and pleasant. The light meal is also recommended for women.

I was looking for a restaurant near Futakotamagawa, but couldn't find one, so I decided to try this place that caught my eye. The reviews said that everything was delicious, so I went in without much hesitation. However, the appetizer platter I ordered had shrimp that was extremely fishy and tasted bad. It was so bad that I almost threw up on the spot. I couldn't eat shrimp for a while after that. The other dishes, like the dumplings, were soggy, and only the chilled tomatoes were somewhat edible. The ramen was just overly salty without much flavor. It was a disappointing end to the weekend dinner. It was a bit too shocking. It might have been just bad luck that we encountered old shrimp when we went. I won't be going back, but it's strange how the reviews are generally positive. Maybe the restaurant has improved since then, as it seemed like they had just opened.

It was delicious! I barely made it in time before closing to eat, so I'm glad! The soy sauce ramen with chicken base that I love was delicious. The big gyoza had slightly thick skin, so if you like chewy gyoza, I recommend it! I prefer gyoza that is crispy and juicy, so it was a bit different from my preference. The ramen was so good that I wanted to drink all the soup, haha.

This is the second time since February this year that I visited the restaurant. This time, there was a white curtain hanging, which was not there last time. Located behind "Tamagawa Takashimaya S.C. South Wing", at the east corner of Yanagi-koji. It is a Chinese restaurant affiliated with a corporation that opened in November last year. The lunch menu has expanded, making it more convenient to use. I sat at the counter again. Bossa nova and jazz were playing in the background. The salted eggs and yellow ear mushrooms that were in front of me last time were not there, only plates lined up. The lunch menu this time included the "Specialty Large Gyoza Set" which was not available last time, and by excluding the "Oban-sai", it was offered at a more affordable price. The set included 6 large gyoza for 880 yen (8 pieces for 1,000 yen). The Chinese-style soup had an oily salty taste. The rice was cooked firm and separate. The spicy pickled radish kimchi was quite tasty. The large gyoza were casually placed on the plate, which was a bit of a contrast to the atmosphere of the restaurant. The gyoza had a thick, chewy skin and a flavorful, meaty filling. 3 pieces were eaten as is, and the remaining 3 were dipped in vinegar and chili oil. The rice was delicious.

The appearance and interior have a delicious atmosphere, and I always saw that it was somewhat empty, so I decided to jump in for dinner. I thought it was a ramen shop, but it seems to be a dumpling specialty store, with a full range of Chinese menu items. It's like a personal version of Wanzuchi. However, the dumplings that seem to be the specialty lack distinctiveness, or rather, they weren't to my liking. The Chinese soba also has a simple seasoning, but the slight sweetness that is not often found in ramen was a bit distracting. I didn't order fried rice, but the one next to me looked delicious. The noodles in tantanmen and Chinese soba are different, and there are many items on the menu. I understand that they are challenging themselves, but I felt that without a clear standout dish, it might not be easy to come back. Thank you for the meal. Next time, I will try the fried rice or stir-fried dishes.

There was nothing welcoming about this place. Even when asking about the food, the staff seemed hesitant and the sour mojito was tasteless compared to the clear taste of the chu-hi. It was just disappointing. The lack of energy when entering made me wish I hadn't come. I won't be returning.

I found this restaurant while wandering around behind Takashimaya to have lunch. The three types of gyoza were chewy and the filling with beef tongue was delicious. The Wonton Ramen I ordered as the main dish was also satisfying with a generous amount of noodles. It was crowded during lunchtime on a holiday, but the staff greeted me with efficiency and a smile, which made me happy.

I visited a brand of the renowned Sakai Corporation, known for "Red Tiger Dumplings," for the first time. It is located about a 5-minute walk from Futakotamagawa Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line. I had the Special Thick-Cut Beef Belly Tantanmen Set (1,580 yen). [Noodles] The flat noodles are excellent at holding up the soup. [Soup] You can choose the spiciness level of the Tantanmen soup from white sesame 1 spiciness, black sesame 3 spiciness, to red sesame 3.5 spiciness. It has a complex flavor from various seasonings and a rich black sesame soup. [Ingredients] The highlight is definitely the beef belly. It's big and makes a strong impression, with a delicious flavor. The vegetables included were Chinese cabbage and garlic chives. It also had nuts along with black sesame. A flavored egg was included as well. [Others] As it was a set, it came with a side dish and a rice ball with sichuan pepper salt. Considering the price, it might be worth ordering separately, but both were delicious. They also offer set meals and dumplings, so I would love to try them next time. Thank you for the meal.

In a townhouse-style building that looks like it could be in Gion, Kyoto, a Chinese restaurant opened last November after an Italian restaurant called "Dahiarosso" sadly closed last fall. Located right behind Takashimaya S.C. South Wing, at the eastern corner of Yanagikoji. It's about a 3-minute walk from Futakotamagawa Station on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line. I visited on a Sunday to try their newly introduced lunch menu. The restaurant has a chic and woody atmosphere, with both table and counter seats still intact from before. In front of the counter seats, you can see ingredients like salted eggs and yellow fungus displayed. Apart from set meals, there were also several options for noodles. Unfortunately, there were no yakisoba dishes available. After much deliberation, I decided to go with my favorite fried dish. I ordered the Chicken Karaage Set for 1,180 yen, which came with soup, dessert, and three side dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous portion of egg soup with a rich dashi flavor, a mound of delicious rice, and three side dishes including braised fuki, tofu skin, chingensai, and yellow fungus salad, as well as a radish dish mixed with tuna. All the side dishes had a light seasoning. The dessert turned out to be a unique combination of yellow fungus, wolfberries, and jujube fruit in syrup. The highlight of the meal was the perfectly fried chicken karaage, served with a generous portion of cabbage and mayonnaise on the side. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and seasoned just right. It was absolutely delicious! If I have the chance, I would love to try their noodles and gyoza next time.
